Had a great time, just wish the dragster wasn't do...
Had a great time, just wish the dragster wasn't down for most of the day
Had a great time, just wish the dragster wasn't down for most of the day
If you are from Michigan the time to go is around Labor Day. Sometimes after Ohio schools start the park will run buy one get one tickets. I went with a friend who is legally blind and the handicap services were incredible. They were friendly and helpful in explaining how all the services worked and it allowed us to ride every roller coaster in the park. I have also heard that Hallo-Weekends are amazing and definitely worth checking out.
Cedar Point is by far the best, cleanest amusement park. My only complaint is they oversell season passes. Waiting 4 hours for a ride, because they added another car, while the kids waited, is ridiculous. Halloweekends was fun, and while the park was crowded, we still managed to get through 3 haunted attractions, unlike Six Flags last year, where the wait for a bottle of water was close to 45 minutes.
It s getting really busy since the Gold Pass has been introduced, but it s still a fun place to visit with a lot to do - even if you don t ride coasters.
I am terribly disappointed. In previous years I associated Cedar Point with trilling rides and good spirits alongside fair pricing. Unfortunately, today my high expectations have not only been unrealized but the quality of the service has put a sour taste in my mouth that will undoubtedly effect my decision to come in the future. Yes I am writing this during the heat of Covid-19 however the park has been fully operational for some time. My main complaint is the lack of common sense in response to the virus. To start, Incredibly long wait times (2 hours plus) due to ridiculous decision made riding impossible. For example: instead of getting guests through quickly and limiting their time grouped in the dozens waiting in line, the park opted to reduce the number of seats available for riders. Note these rides typically lasted 30 seconds. Additionally, the lack of amused guests made the pre/post ride chatter of the workers feel blatantly scripted and forced. It s extremely uncomfortable when the ride operator calls out Who had Fun!! Then everyone who finished just shrugs without response as the ride wasn t worth the wait, only to be met with That s super fantastic! . Finally we have the access pass a system that requires you to receive a ticket before you can ride the most popular coasters. As convoluted as it may seem, it would not have been the end of the world if we were informed of the requirement before arriving. Thus leaving my entire group extremely disappointed when we finally got ourselves in the appropriate mental state to wait the three hours to get through 20 people in a front of us, only to be denied entrance to the line because we missed a first come first serve opportunity to get a ticket after we already paid for admission. I can t express how poor my entire trip was. I highly recommend saving your money before coming to this poorly managed park.
The best coaster park I've ever been to. Every ride is fantastic!!!
Went there many times in kids groups and as a seasonal worker. Love the fact that they have new rides often. Opened the park for employees night once. Fun for all family groups and/or friends. Good parking and gate prices generally.
Awesome experience, park wasn't too crowded and the weather was good.
Went on a tuesday. not bad wait 45 mins or less for the big 4 . Ceder point did a good job with trying to disinfect everything. Glad i got season pass, going next week !
My son and I visit once a year and always worth the 3hour trip
It's a really fun time for the family and the roller coasters r exciting to ride
Myself, family and friends went this past weekend and it was the best time ever! Cedar Point truly is the Best Amusement Park in the World! Anyone who appreciates coasters like me will find out very quickly that Steel Vengeance is #1!!!!!! It caught me by surprise for sure!!? The Best coaster in the world !!!Not what I was expecting! The drop was obvious but the rest had surprise's at every turn, drop, and twist!!! My first time riding was at night, highly recommend! Clean, safe and friendly atmosphere.Great food, and night time live music on the beach was unforgettable! Will be returning soon and staying at the resort.
We are family we had a blast thank u Cedar Point. Can't wait till next year!!
Always been a favorite since I was a child. Even better when I finally got to share my favorite childhood experience with my other half!!!
Waits are a bit long due to covid regulations, but boy are the rides fun! Very memorable place.
Rides are not terribly size inclusive, especially for the rides that are a little tamer for folks who are newbies.
My husband and I have two children; 7and 4! We take them yearly by purchasing season passes. We love going to the water park and spending time in the kiddie areas. This is a fun, family oriented experience for those who are adventurous, outdoorsy people.
Thank you Cedar Point for taking the needed precautions to open during this pandemic. I would say to pay closer attention to your capacity limits as October 10th was too crowded. I feel for those that spent hundreds of dollars to enter your park that day. We chose to only go on one ride as the wait times were extremely long and no one was social distancing, but enjoyed the park otherwise. The 11th was less crowded and we had a good time riding about 5 roller coasters in 5 hours. However, we have season passes and knew what to expect.
Fun park weither you like coasters or not. They are right on the lake and also have a whole section of the park just for kids.
Cedar point is amazing!! I love all the rollercoasters!! It sucks when it rains even a little rides close but still incredible :)
So much fun!! Get the fast pass, it's worth the money!!!
Anyone who lives in Ohio has either said or heard someone say " theres nothing in ohio" well there's is Cedar Point. I love cedar point maybe not everything about it but the rides are all fun. Sure the food is overpriced and so are the drinks, beer being $10 a cup. Now for most rides you have to put back packs in lockers as well other belongings so I recommend leaving most of your stuff in your car. They try to get as much money from you as they can. Sometimes the rides do go down but not for long, usually at most 15 minutes. Throughout the years I've been going here they have got better with wait times for the rides lately I haven't had to wait more than a hour and a half and i go on the front row everytime. So if you ever get bored definitely go to cedar point but I'm sure you already know that.
Nice place. The need to wait in line to get a ride pass for a later time was off-putting and unnecessary as no one ever asked for the pass. Employee's are friendly and the rides are impressive.
The best rides are frequently broken (on my past three trips, the dragster was broken every single time). That being said, the rides are the best in the Midwest (and probably high ranking for the US and world). Make sure to try the Maverick, Millennium Force, Dragster (if you're lucky), and the Raptor (personal favorite).
A beautiful park! All the staff encountered were delightful, very clean and maintained park! Highly recommend! Fun for all the ages.
Our family's favorite place on Earth. The best rollercoasters anywhere and a ton of them. No shortage of classic carnival rides and snacks for all ages. A good selection of sit down dining options. Live music. A fabulous water park with equal parts thrill and chill. It may not match the overall "over the top experience" of the Orlando parks, but they don't come close to Cedar Point for carnival and thrill rides.
We spent our Holloween weekend at the great Sandusky Cedar Park , Raining , Cold , and very Windy . Some rides were closed which my children were bummed at first but somehow they got most of the rides going as the day turned to a night time hanuted houses open and we had fun on millennium force and Valtran , sky hawk, power tower, lines moved fast in the windy cold I mean like 25 min ride times longest wait was an 1hr . We warmed up in the bathrooms with the air dryers and we ate panda Express and ended out night with traditional funnel cake. It was an amazing day with my family . Parking was light very easy in and easy out despite the rain , cold and wind Love and Family overpowered all elements actually we had more fun standing in line together close staying warm singing in the rain . Cedar Point Holloween weekend is Fantastic.
I had a great time at cedar point! Although covid-19 is a major issue I personally think that cedar point did a fantastic job at following protocol and making sure that everyone was doing their part to help stop the spread of covid-19. This includes having social distancing on all rides and concessions, they also do thermal scanning before you even enter the park for extra precaution, and wipe down every time before a new ride starts.
I traveled from Georgia just to visit the top coasters at this park and it was all for nothing. None of them are open. Seems this park only cares about locals and not tourist. So I wouldn't advise anyone spend the money or time to visit. I would much rather visit a franchise park that keeps rides going certainly the top attractions. Staff at the restaurants are rude and unhelpful at all. I will be much happier to spend my hundreds of dollars at a park that has its best rides open and doesn't shut them down for the entire day because of the day of the week. I truly believe it's because they allow military in for free on Mondays and shut the best rides down o this day to make you pay full admission. Will never return!
This place is amazing. Always good customer service and freindly staff. Rides and food is amazing. Worth a 4 hour drive to return
Amazing as always, great weather, great rides, amazing service
Best place to have a weekend get away and have a good time doing so
Got here at 11:30 this am after a 7 hour drive. It s 6:20 and we rode 4 coasters so far with fast lane passes. Every coaster down for maintenance. Can t believe we spent $700 on tickets plus fast lane not to be able to ride anything. Maverick, Millennium Force, dragster, gatekeeper. Seriously. Never experienced this before.
Great park, but expensive. Doing everything they can for social distancing. Very hard to wear a mask all day.
Staying at the light house point cottages was the perfect option for our weekend getaway with another couple. The option of splitting the price of the cottage instead of both couples staying in separate rooms saved time and money. All though it clearly had room to sleep 6 people the beds and futon we're uncomfortable. Although no plates, silverware, or other amenities like a hair dryer were available (and I encourage bringing your own blanket as ones provided we're very thin), the cottage did include a mini fridge with freezer. A coffee pot with coffee and cups were available as well as a microwave. Unfortunately the walls are very think and bathroom use leaves little to the imagination. As far as value and chance to stay on property along with a beautiful view of the lake from your deck or the BBQ, it can't be beat. Also having access to the pool, hot tub, arcade, and splash pad as well as laundry area is a nice added bonus.
..SAD. if you find something in the park keep it..I tried to return a ID and I was called a thief before I could turn it in..I walked out of guest services and tossed the ID as im being called a theif . LOST N FOUND Items are considered theft here.Wow I had 3 cop cars and 4 park officer they want that ID { I stoled they said } I tossed it in the trash and they wanted me to go back in and look thru trash to find it..I said no and was told my pass is flagged.Awful tried to turn it in and I'm a thief. So at some point I found a staff member and lifted a I D and tried to turn it in I must be one dumb theif.Loudly I was told to stop you stole something, and was called a thief by many of the local police ...The next day they took my platinum pass.
Always a blast. Customer service is always so willing to help and they are very kind. Of course things are pricey, but what amusement park isn't? They do give you the option to bring your own food. We always take a cooler and eat at the car I have never had a bad experience! I hope one day to make a trip during Hallo-weekends!!
Went there this Past Weekend. I think the seats on Millennium Force needs to be Updated. Third time I was told I was to tall to ride because the thin seatbelt wouldn't fit
Love it but wish Hallow Weekend was here...Its all just kiddie stuff, no hauted houses or anything fun. Hallow weekends is usually the best part and time at cedar point. That's what happens with dang Corona
Had a great time. The deal for all day dining bands for 30$ and unlimited drinks was a major plus. You could use the dining every 90 minutes and get drinks every 15 minutes. But rating this a 4 because all the food was terrible. I do recommend hotel breakers though. With the beach view. It's a beautiful view. convenient and a very nice clean hotel
The park is awesome as it continually has been for decades. My only complaint is the poor & spotty wi-fi. But thankful that it's available at least.
Amazing park. So many things to do, so many places to visit. The rides are phenomenal, the food is great, and the fact that you can see all of Lake Erie on so many of the rides is perfect. An absolute blast!!!
Best park ever. It has something for everyone. Handicap accessible. Great food plenty to choose from. Food is very pricey. Pagoda is the best priced souvenir shop.
Loved my visit here sunday 08/04/19. However around 9:30 pm i got on the last ride of the night and it was the iron dragon and the workers did not make sure to check our security with the pull over bars. My lock was not secured and before i knew it the ride had started. Thankfully i ended up pushing it down in place again until it finally felt snug but they didn't even check. That could have been seriously dangerous.
If you think this place is just good for kids just go there you'll find out have a great day
Ive been coming here for over 10 years on 10 different occasions and every time it just becomes more and more of a money pit and waste, first if everything is up and running its a fun time, this last time the other day 5 of the 8 thrill rides were shut down, valeraven all day for 2 days! Typical dragster was down almost all day both days as well, huge ripoff when a family of 5 pays 500$ for 2 days. While safety comes first so does theyre money and they wont get mine anymore and i heard a hundred people say same thing,No more cedar point, too cheap to fix the dragster properly in 16 years of it operating.
It's my "home park" so I can't really compare with many other large parks; more dry and wet rides than "Michigan's Adventure" (which is a nice one-day mix of both - if it's warm enough out) and not as huge and overwhelming as Disney or Universal. There is such a huge assortment of things to do that you can be satisfied whether you're looking for all-day "thrills," all-day slow-paced, or anywhere between (my wife doesn't ride much, aside from the train, and enjoys the many other reasons for being there). Supposedly the biggest number of large coasters anywhere and, they're awesome. The water park (now called Cedar Point Shores) is separated from Cedar Point with gates between (not sure if a single-day ticket allows entry to both anymore but, two-day tickets allow you to go back and forth on both days or two separate visits throughout a season). I prefer to allow a full day for Cedar Point (fantastic to ride some things again later at night with all of the lights) and possibly use a second day for the water park and for traveling home afterwards. Should probably mention the ridiculous variety of food and drink that is, of course, pricy; you can actually bring your own food but must either keep it in your car or the unsecured picnic pavilion just outside the gates where you have to go to eat it - understandable and kind of a pain (especially if only some in your group decide to do so!). Definitely one of my favorite things to look forward to each summer; even on a partially rainy day!Over 40 years so far - from going as a kid, to bringing our kids and hopefully our grandkids, some day. Absolutely a lifetime of memories!
Fun amusement park, but I wish they were better environmentally. Styrofoam! And sooo much plastic thrown away.
Great family place and great weekend ! Had tons of fun and stayed at Hotel Breakers
Love going here. We are platinum members and used this to teach our 5 year old to learn patience and to wait in line for our turn. Not sure there's a better reward than the rides after waiting. This summer has been a great experience for both 2 year old and 5 year old.
Sorry to say but there's not enough room here to rate
Definitely the World's Greatest Amusement Park for a reason. They need to work on their security tho. People are smoking in the lines and when you call they do nothing about it. Park is clean and well taken care of. They used to expel those who cut in lines. Now cutters pay an extra $100 and get to do it every ride? Legally? What?!? Rude....
We go there every year it it the best amusement park it is so fun they have a lot of history they have the best coasters recommended for a family vacation
Amazing. Rides and staff are full of thrill, worth every cent spent.
Good amusement park. The rides were great and the employees were really nice and didn't have a single problem while waiting to ride rides. The only thing that sucked is there weren't very many vegetarians or vegan options in most food places besides a couple and they were very spread out. Was still able to find an option after looking for a while. Still had a great time! Definitely plan to go again sometime
At least 3 of the best rides were down. But otherwise it was a great experience.. bring the sun block!
Roller Coaster Capital of the World! We have been coming here for years and it's not even close to where we live. It's about 8 hours of driving to come here. We spend at least a week here because of how much fun we have. A must for thrill seekers, if you don't like thrills then it's no problem as they have other things to do. A must for all families.
Worst time ever! First I bought the family platinum passes for my 60th birthday. I have been riding roller coasters for 45 years and decided that 2020 would be it. This has been my worst experience at an amusement park. Passes bought at King's Island and was hassled when trying to get into Cedar Point. Then stood in line for an hour plus for Steel Vengeance only to have mechanical issues. Then went to find a restroom only to have it closed. Went to the train to get on, made me give up my drink, then there was no seat. And it's only 10:00 pm.
Our go to place that satisfied my family. Pinky is the spot to eat.
Had a wonderful day at your park last week. I was very impressed with how clean everything was. It was a crowded day, but the lines seemed to move quickly. Love the new ride!
Always love coming here , only downfalls this year are no fast lane and the access passes are the worst , no way you will get to ride all the good stuff
Rollar coasters are so much fun! Good options for people who love big rides and for people who don't. Had a wonderful time, park is huge! Good food as well
Ok for today most of the big rides were closed. I heard they are still bringing in staff. If I didn't have a pass and only paid for the day I would have been upset with all that was closed.
The park rides were great if your into roller coaster. The food was a bit disappointing. We purchased the dining plan for the season and your only allowed 2 meals and it's only certain items at some places and then the portions are small. The arcade was hotter then outside which was awful since we were hoping to play a few games and cool off. We walked out. Over all we had a good time.
It was totally awesome and my children and grandchild really enjoyed it it was enough things for all ages and it was really really an awesome place
It was awesome I loved the rides. A lot of walking but it is worth it.
Love love love this place such a great time for my kids and I!
It s just the best. If you love roller coasters, this park has several fantastic ones. Yes, the lines can get long, but that s to be expected. The food is great, the shops the great, and the rides are great. I will go to Cedar Point any chance that I get. I ve been several times and have never once had a bad experience.
I think they should do away with the fast pass . not everybody can afford it
restrooms where dirty. overall would give the park a 3 maybe at 2
Me and my wife had an amazing time can't wait to go again and looking forward to next season as well as the rest of this season
Best roller coaster park in the world. You must go here if you've never been. My happy place
The experience was mediocre; a lot of the rides were not operating due to staff cut backs, it took an inordinate amount of time to sanitize between riders, plus having to social distance. HOWEVER, the entry process was very efficient, the staff was super friendly, the park was clean, and it was nice to have a fraction of the crowd there.
Horrible lines, need access pass for certain rides, app wasnt updated either
Family fun very thrilling even for non coster people
I had a blast! I always do! Only thing needed is more shade while waiting in lines. It's hot af some days.
I was extremely nervous going during Covid after reading reviews on long ride times and just overall disappointing experiences. I went anyways because Cedar Point is a yearly tradition for my friends and I. Although the tickets for the bigger coasters had to be sought out prior to using I felt that it sorted things out and kept it organized. We were able to get tickets for the millennium no problem but had no luck with the Steel Vengeance tickets. Was pleased the Valravyn did not require special tickets. We were able to go on about 7 rides during our 12-8 time period. Waited no longer then 40 minutes for each ride. All in all it was an absolutely great time and worth the money and drive spent. Thanks for making our yearly tradition as special as it always is!
I had so so much fun i will be back again also thank u for the new rides also they where killer thank u
Always have a good time here at Cedar Point. I'm a season pass holder and live 2 1/2 hours away. But it's definitely worth the drive. Love Steel Vengeance!! Best.... Day.... Ever!! I CP
This place is good and all, but Mean Streak is wayyyyyyyyyy better than Steel Vengeance. #give steel vengeance the dinn treatment
