We have been going to Cedar Point for decades and so my review is based off years of annual visits of amazing and priceless memories. We would stay at the Breakers Hotel for 3 to 7 nights each year and we have our trips down to a science! We spend the days at the beach and then pay the Twilight (reduced) gate fees to have a blast in the second half of the day when crowds start to dwindle! Staff at Cedar Point, Soak City and The Breakers Hotel are always great with very rare exception! Thank you Cedar Point for being a core part if our family's most cherished memories!

This was such an awesome time for our family! I have waited my whole life to go and wasn't let down a bit by the thrill of it. We didn't even have to wait in line too long. A couple were maybe an hour wait but most others had no line at all. It was a great vacation. I would recommend starting at lighthouse point or hotel breakers as they are within walking distance from the park.

Sorry to say, cedar point is going down hill. The gold pass has overtaken the park. We've been coming to CP for over 30 years and Halloween weekends have always been our favorite. Not this year! We miss the fantastic displays. Way less than years past! The "entertainment" boneyard battlefield is a total waste of time. Skeleton crew was much better! Not getting the overall fall feeling. We miss the old atmosphere!

One of the best amusement parks in the nation. Very expensive but you will have a jam packed day of entertainment.

Experience some of the best roller coasters in the world. There are rides for every age from little kids to older adults.

Very disappointing.. Everything is horrifically over priced.. And they know people will pay and keep going so they get away with it.. They don't care how long the lines are.. It's shameful how they run it.. And gouging for parking... They've lost my business for good.. This place has nothing on Hershey park or universal studios.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at hotel breakers, bou...

Me and my girlfriend stayed at hotel breakers, bought after 4pm passes, the meal plan, and the refresh package, and we were excited to have fun at the park the next day. When we arrived to the hotel, we were informed of the Access Passes for Millennium Force, Maverick, Steel Vengeance, and Top Thrill Dragster, which are one use tickets to go on the rides that are only available at two times in the day. I did not see anything about these online.
The next day, we realized that we would need to rush to get these access passes or else we would be wouldn t be ride the best rollercoasters. So, we made our way around the park and spent just the first hour going around the huge park to all the rides and waiting in line to get tickets. While we did this, we noticed that half of the restaurants and rides were closed. Why?? We figure having more rides open would spread the crowd out. And then we realized the water park was closed. Why is the water park closed? What is the difference between that and the dry part of the park?
We had the ride and refresh tickets, which allowed unlimited free fountain drinks for the whole day. However, the drink cups were small and they didn t provide lids or straws anywhere. So we had to stop constantly to drink and kept spilling our drinks on ourselves.
We bought the meal plans, but the lines for the food were very long. Because of waiting so long in the lines for the rides and trying to get the access passes, we only managed to get 3 meals in between the two of us, despite them advertising meals every 90 minutes (6 per person) which was impossible.
Despite getting the access passes , we still had to wait in extremely long lines, which moved barely (had to wait up to 2 hours) because only half of the seats on the rides were usable due to social distancing. However, the lines to the ride had practically no social distancing, as people moved along the same paths as others. I know this is unavoidable, but if the lines are already packing people together in one place, then why do the seats on the rides themselves need to be so far apart.
We are relatively fit people, through the course of the day, we only managed to go on 4 rides, three of them the access pass rides, and we missed steel vengeance because we missed the time to get the access pass because we were rushing to do as much as we could. In the course of 9 hours, we tried to hit as many rides as we can, use our meal plans, and use our refresh passes.
We did not experience 90% of the park because it was either closed or we didn t have enough time because we spent it so much in a line for an access pass, in the line for the ride itself, or rushing across the park to get to a ride in time. Not only that, we paid for an after 4pm pass, but we soon realized that they don t even check people for those after 4pm. Why did I even buy those? It was a complete and unnecessary waste of money.
Also, most of the rides had nowhere to put your belongings, so you re basically forced to buy a locker for each ride you go on, and they only let you buy the locker for 2-3 hours. We left all of our belongings in a locker for more than our rental time on accident and they wanted to charge us more to open the locker, so we had to wait for someone to open it for us.
I never write reviews, and I realize that we re in a pandemic, but I feel like we were completely ripped off and the whole Cedar Point park system is messed up. If they are working so hard to limit social distances, why would they have the park open for 3 days a week, for only 11am to 8pm, and make these stupid access passes that didn t make anything more socially distant. All of those things cause more people to be all in the same place. And supposedly the park was at 20% capacity, but it felt like it was as full of people as it possible could be. Maybe they meant only 20% of the park can be experienced.
Giving 2 stars because the rides were really awesome and the employees were nice and helpful. Saw employees actively enforcing face masks, which I was not expecting but enjoyed seeing.

We had a blast. All the rides we're exceptional. Very few downtimes for the roller coasters. I only gave it a 4 star due to the mens bathrooms. Some people trashed most of the stalls around the park. Doesn't look like there was much of a cleanup effort. Past that it was all great. I do suggest fast pass or don't expect to ride as many rides.

This place is incredible! They have some of the best rollercoasters in the world and feeling like you are at the beach makes this one of the most unique amusement parks. There is always a breeze which makes things better, I highly recommend getting the fast lane pass because there is usually a large crowd. The best time to go is in May.

I had bought tickets online for a good deal and when i got there being 260 lbs. i no longer fit in their roller coasters. Its really sad because i drove all the way from another state to get there and have that be the case. I went to guest service and was told that i wasn t able to get a refund so basically i came to ohio for carnival rides and a water park? No. Then when i ask for a supervisor they finally refunded me my tickets. But the point of it all is that im deeply disappointed and feel awful because i cannot even go to cedar point just because the world is seen as 100-220 lbs. i know their are tons of people feeling my pain. Do we need like a plus size roller coaster? Ridiculous. They say something about the height but they never say anything about a weight limit. NEVER GOING BACK THERE.

Best amusement park for a pure thrills. Too many high quality record-breaking rides to mention here. Lines and keep summertime hours can get quite long. I would suggest going in the evening or weekends in the spring or fall.

We made the mistake of going on Halloweekends. We arrived at the park at 10:30am, and weren't able to get in until 11:30. By 1 or 2pm we heard that the park was actually turning people away due to not having enough space.

Wait times were at 3+ hours for almost every ride, with even the less popular rides at 2+ hours. The entire day, we waited in line for over 9 hours and only got on 3 rides. The lines were made worse by the fact that almost every ride went down sometime during the day. We waited in line for Millennium Force for 3 hours, only getting half way through the line, when it broke down for half an hour.

Maybe we just picked the wrong day to go, but even if the lines weren't as long, the roller coasters were not as great as they were made out to be. We only rode Gatekeeper, Rougarou, and Millenium Force, and while all three were definitely fun, they were nowhere near worth waiting that long. Even then, I didn't think they were as good as other coasters I've ridden, such as Banshee at King's Island.

Overall, if you can go on a weekday when it's not busy, or if you can afford the fast passes, it might be worth it (although even the fast pass lines were over 1 1/2 hours when we went). If you're farther south, I'd definitely recommend King's Island instead.

I hate to say bad things about Cedar Point, as they have some really amazing roller coasters and rides here, but their customer service has gone way downhill. Last week, one of their employees from Maverick was extremely rude and nasty and hostile to me for absolutely no reason!!! I don t know what her problem is but she clearly does not belong in a customer service oriented position. I saw other employees at the park who clearly hate their jobs as well and it shows. So I don t know what s going on here but they should screen their employees better and make sure they are living up to the best day ever experience they are supposed to be providing to their guests. Aside from the horrible service from some employees (they do have some good employees here, but it just takes a few bad ones to spoil the broth), it is a really fun park with a lot of great rides and they also have some shows they put on too. There is a kids area called planet snoopy for the young ones, and an area for the kids over by the Gemini as well. They have food stands around the park so you have plenty of options for food. They offer free cups of water to guests which is nice as well. For big thrill rides I suggest Steel Vengeance, though since it s a new ride the lines can get pretty long for it so be prepared for a long wait, even with a fastlane plus. I hope cedar point will pick up the slack of their customer service so I can put them back for a 5 star review in the future.

Been here plenty of times before, but the overcrowding as of late has made the experience frustrating and unenjoyable. No coaster was under a 2 hour wait. Their haunted house lines were also long. When you finally made it inside you would stand around for 30 seconds until the person in front of you moved ahead a few steps. My guess is the 99 dollar gold pass has made things too congested. Avoid unless you like long lines and short thrills.

So much fun. Found going on a Sunday was most effective as the lines weren't super long and we actually got a lot more riding in than on Saturday, even though the park closes sooner. Great fun, love the steel vengeance and valraven. The drops were absolutely epic. 99$ for the rest of this season and next season with free parking and water park included??? Can't beat it! Will be taking advantage of that, worth every minute of the 45 minute drive! Go Ride Warriors!!

By far the best amusement park I've been to. Second time here and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The rides are incredible and the staff are just so friendly. We bought the 2 day park passes and visited the park and the water park. If I lived closer I'd get a season pass.

I've been coming to Cedar Point since I was a kid. Never had a complaint. I come back this year pay for 2 days, bring my whole family. Literally within those 2 days we rode 3 rides, most were down and not running. Don't think I'll be coming back.

Coaster city is never a disappointment. Bought the meal plan which allows you to eat for one price every 1.5 hours and a free soft drink every 30 mins. We ate every 2 hours in between coasters. A value if you plan to spend the entire day at the park.

Freaking awesome in here ride the most thrilling roller coaster in the world. Better spend at least 2 days to just ride and ride one day is surely not enough. There are some food sold inside for a break so no worries on that. The rides are really really good do not missed all of it.

Pro: the staff did a great job organizing, cleaning and dealing with covid precautions. It felt 100% safe.

Con: if you are there to ride rides... do not go. The new access pass system does not work. I got on my second ride at 6pm. That ride was the millennium force which we did have access passes too and still waited 2 hours. This was a Sunday and not busy.

The access passes are only passed out twice a day and for each ride at the same time. So you have to pick which one you want to wait to wait for because by time you're done waiting in the access pass line the other access pass lines are closed. We waited in the pass line for steel vengeance, just to find out they ran out of passes. I was very crabby to say the least.

Expensive, but mostly worth it. Long waits, especially Halloweekends (fall), and summer weekends. Very crowded, unless it's raining or the power is out... which both happened on my previous visit (August 2019).
Rides could use better padding, especially when the harness is over your head and you get whipped side to side; the hard plastic causes damage.

The app to find out wait times only works when your GPS reads as inside the park, but is often inaccurate, even listing rides as closed when it is not.

The food is not extremely positive in quantity or quality. The food is good enough, but still pricey, so expect to spend more than you would for an average meal closer to home (not at a destination or amusement park).
Higher prices for souvenirs than at a big retail store, but that's to be expected.

Fun stuff to see and do, not just fun rollercoasters. Shows, parades, a museum, farm/barn-zoo, live music, kids rides, carnival rides, games and an arcade, 2 summer time water rides (not counting the separate waterpark), lots of theme areas, and food options.
Season passes are a value for more than one trip, or a stay at the local hotel offers bundle discounts.
I recommend staying 2 or 3 days, summer week days offer lower wait times, and invest in an all day drink pass (or the seasonal one if you have the season pass).

Pretty cool amusement park if it isn't busy. Go on a weekday. Plenty of rides for the little ones, check the site for height details. The app is better now then it was, so I'd reccomend using that for wait times and a map that shows where you are. Definitely a good time if the weather is nice and it's not busy. Remember that it's by the lake, so you'll be getting a cool breeze if it's windy.

I always have fun here . However the thing that they need to fix is The Steel Vengeance. This needs harnesses not just the lap bars, due to the new format of going upside down. The lap bar banged against my leg the whole time and took away the enjoyment out of the ride.

I do not reccomend anyone to go at this time. Half rides are closed. Others (main ones) require "access pass" that are dispersed only twice a day, and you need to wait in line for 2 hours to get it, plus wait for actual ride. Waist of time.

That place where they let you in at 10 am. Rides start at 11 am. They herd you in....than pack the lines it is now 11:15. And nobody has rode anything. Also the guy enforcing social distancing in the lines on the raptor....will come a foot away and use way to many hand gestures.....employ professionals instead of high schoolers you can pay minimally. Billion dollar corporation......be nicer to your employees... especially those getting Covid.

Excellent environment for fun!! It would be awesome if they would offer a licensed child care area inclusive of special needs. Even just a designated area of activities for people with special needs would be a really awesome addition. I understand that could be a huge liability but just throwing the idea out there!

Cedar Point has done a great job with cleaning, disinfecting and keeping guests apart and safe. The only real issue we had was not being able to get on the train after waiting a while due to seating spacing and existing riders not exiting the train to make more room for oncoming riders.

Great atmosphere, Great quality and variety of food, Cedar point is the full package Amusement Park. Has everything for everyone in the family. Lots of kid rides, good amount of family rides, and lots of rollercoasters from mild to extreme intensity. There are also great shows. Also you can visit a beach and there are many great views of lake Erie at Cedar Point.

As a lifelong cedar point go-er, this weekend has been embarrassing and unacceptable for cedar point. Nearly all of the coasters were shut down today, even though we bought fast lane plus passes and were not informed. On top of that, all of the Halloweekends attractions are also closed for no apparent reason. Giant waste of time and money.
