I had a great experience at Carter Honda. The process to trade in my old vehicle and purchase a new one was handled very efficiently by Alan Li. Alan got me the best price for my trade-in, compared to other dealerships I visited, with a no pressure sale. The complete staff were professional and quickly had me behind the wheel of my new car. I recently bought a Honda HR-V at the Carter dealership. The staff there is very friendly and accommodating, especially Mimi, my sales agent, who walked me through the process and answered all my questions. After-sales customer service is also very good, if I have any further questions or problems they are very helpful. Oh - and I love my new Honda!

It was a relatively quick and painless process. Nat was our guy for the road test and Tim was with whom we negotiated the numbers. Nat was very calm, knowledgeable, and overall very pleasant to work with. Tim deals with the negotiating and I appreciate he entertained our offer and returned with a number we were all happy with.

Deducted a star because of the insurance purchasing procedure. It can easily be improved to be more customer friendly.

Mr. Bill Glavas went well beyond the call of duty to help me. And of course the quality of the repair is first class.

I just bought a 2016 HRV EX-L here. Lyle and Laura really helped out and was able to get the color I wanted even though the other dealerships weren't able to find one. He tried really hard to help me as best as he could. Laura was really helpful as well and was able to patiently explain the finance side to me. Car was just great but I was un-nerved that I saw one of the employee that had a face mask on...there was a luncheon going on and NO social distancing...at one point when standing in the que to sign in, an employee with his mask down speaking to one of the guys at his computer less than an inch from his face..

Not sure my car was sanitized...I thought it would be 'noted' when I got into it...thankfully I had wipes..

I've had some bad car shopping experiences in the past and was dreading doing it again. I'm pleased to say the team at Carter Honda has changed my view of what that experience can be!

We were introduced to James when we walked in and right away we could tell that this was going to be better. James was super friendly, down to earth, and honest. He let us take a few cars out for test drives and was very knowledgeable about them. This was our first experience buying an electric car and he took all of our questions about the range, charging etc and could actually answer them! Which, let me tell you, was not like my previous experiences.

Through the negotiation process James and his Sales Manager were great to work with. We never felt that we were being taken advantage of and believe we got a great deal with them. Even after we closed on the car and we had questions about the car or checking the tire pressure, James was quick to respond back to us and even helped me on Black Friday when they were VERY busy to get a replacement battery for one of the Fobs and fix the tire pressure notification.

I was cautious when first going into the dealership as the reputation of car salespeople is generally dodgy, but I found the people at Carter Honda warm, welcoming, and not pushy. I was working with Kevin and with Josh. They both answered my questions while allowing me to go about investigating the car I needed in a non-invasive way. It was a stark contrast to Pacific Honda in North Van where the give you the dreaded sales lines. I didn't end up buying at Carter simply because they didn't have the vehicle in the year I was looking for at that time. Still, anyone who wants a no-pressure situation, I'd highly recommend talking to Kevin or Josh. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends.

They keep my vehicle longer than they need to. Forget to call me when its done, forget to wash it or did not have time to etc, the service work is ok which I guess is the most important thing but I have had to bring it back a few times.

Just bought a Honda Civic from here. Stephen is an awesome salesman and Siveta is a great financial manager! 6 stars for them, yet -1 star for the person who is in charge of the insurance. He played game machine when he was on duty, and he spoke so fast that I cannot understand what he was saying.

We had a great service experience, as we have had in the past. It was easy to get an appointment, a shuttle is offered. The check in and out of the car was effecient and everything was explained to me with out me having to ask what they did etc.

It's been 3 years since I bought my last car, I came in and met Brian Taylor at Cater Honda. Brian was not only warm and welcoming, but he took the time to assist me and found me the right car! Let's be clear, I had no interest in making a purchase that day. I came to realize one important fact that iv always over looked in my car purchase in the past. My husband and I just purchased our Honda HRV from Lyle and we love it. He was professional, honest, easy to talk to and very accommodating as we had many questions and he was able to answer them. DO NOT TRUST THEIR ADVERTS AS ITS SIMPLY A PLOY! Worst service and communication I ve ever received from a car dealer. I sent 2 emails and cash offer on a vehicle advertised and still active on auto trader and got reply from sales manager Salar Khalaj who confirmed with me receipt of my email and then emailed him twice again confirming test drive and interest for today. I then arrive at dealer to meet some Alan Li who had no idea about status of vehicle and had to logon to autotrader in front of us and then we showed him the vehicle we wanted to see. He then went to enquirer only to come back and tell us they had someone else busy with financing on car and we said we told Salar we were cash buyers and ready to buy. Who does business like this. We drove all the way from Tsawwassen to see a car that was not available any more and no one had the decency to communicate back with us.

I was very surprised with how friendly Pedro and Erwin was in helping in helping me selecting the car that is suitable for me. They are so helpful and very patient in helping my parents that do not speak fluent English to understand that taxes are not included in the price of the vehicle. Diana was also very helpful in explaining what comes free with the vehicle in terms of warranty and told me specifically the things that I would need and don't need. It is totally different than what people said about car dealers. They gave me the options that I have available and made everything so easy. They also called me the next day after my delivery to see how things are doing with my new car and reassure me that they are just a phone call away should I have any further questions about my car. Thanks Carter Honda.

Slimy.

I test drove a 2015 Honda Fit on a Saturday, but it was an automatic and I wanted a manual. I was told there were two white manual Honda Fits in British Columbia. I gave a deposit with the assurance one of them would be mine. Two days later, when the car was supposed to arrive, my salesman called to say there was a mistake and both vehicles had been sold over the weekend. He tried to get me to change my colour preference and suggested I purchase a Civic instead, claiming that it would be a 6-8 week wait for the car I wanted. But it was all a blatant lie! When I saw his coworker chuckle, I got suspicious. I called around and found out that there was still one white manual Honda Fit at a dealership in Surrey. This is information that anyone at any Honda dealership would be able to see on their computers! When I confronted the salesman in our final phone conversation to get my deposit back, he was completely dismissive and cold. He acted like a schoolboy caught stealing.

I drive past this dealership every day, which means that every day I will be sure to give a little wave to the jerks who screwed up this sale... from my bright, new Honda Fit. Ciao!

I had an issue selling my used car to this dealer. They said that they would offer me an estimated 3800 for a used car, but when I got there they claimed they would only offer 1800. The reason was because I had no AC and my car was manual--both of these were clearly listed in my advertisement that they responded to. I understand that dealers want to make money from the used cars they buy but I feel they reeled me in for nothing. Careful before you bring your used cars here.

Enjoyed my (no pressure) car buying experience with Alan Li. He took me on a very versatile testdrive so I could assess all aspects of the car. He was calm, friendly, patient, knowledgeable and very efficient.
To boot: Alan was able to close the deal for me quickly!

Normally I am very happy with the service in the Motorsports department but this time, I asked the guy to help my adjust my clock on my motorcycle and sadly, that was not done but I did not have time to speak to anyone as when I was picking up my motorcycle, I was running late to my other appointment.

Also, normally, they would wash my motorcycle or hose it down and when I picked up my motorcycle, that was not done. I felt like I was rushed and normally it is not like that. When I called to let them know about them not washing my motorcycle, the lady told me they don t have a place to wash the motorcycles.

I did not feel she was being truthful as I have had my bike washed previously, every single time before. You think during this pandemic, people would be securing business instead of pushing business away.

But that is strange because years and years before, I had my motorcycle washed after each Spring service.

I feel like I spent $225 and the service was not satisfactory. I feel very disappointed.

Recently, I just bought the new 2019 Honda Insight and Nick Ng was very friendly, helpful and informative to any questions or concerns upon purchase. Here is a post from a family member. I warn all to stay away from this dealership. These salesman are disgusting. Please read below:

On approximately Aug 1, 2016 we began our telephone dealings with a salesman by the name of Darius at the Carter Honda dealership on 2390 Burrard St, in Vancouver, BC. We live in Northern British Columbia and were interested in a 2015 silver Honda Civic that was posted on this dealerships website. We were willing to book a one way flight to Vancouver and then drive our new car home. At the time this dealership also had a black 2015 Honda Civic on their website. We had expressed that we liked both colours and were advised by Darius that he could hold only one vehicle for us but we would have to put down a $1,000.00 deposit on the vehicle. We decided to put our deposit on the silver 2015 Honda Civic. This dealership took our $1,000.00 deposit and we booked our one way ticked to Vancouver to pick up our car.

Darius picked us up at our hotel at 8:30 am on Aug 13, 2016 and took us to this dealership. While on our way to this dealership Darius did nothing but brag about how many rental properties he owns in Vancouver. After arriving at the dealership we were seated in a sitting area while Darius went to his morning team building meeting with the other salesmen at this dealership. In the show case inside this building next to where were seated was the black Honda Civic that was on the dealership website. We were relieved that we had not picked the black Honda Civic because is had round circular surface scratches all over the hood and a 2" deep scratch in the hood.

After Darius had finished his morning ritual with his coworkers he came over to see us. He said that he had some bad news and that the dealership sold the silver 2015 Honda Civic that we had put our deposit on. Now, we had spoken to Darius and other employees at this dealership on a daily basis the week of August 8 - 12, getting the paperwork ready for our arrival (provided personal information, credit checks etc) scheduled for Saturday Aug 13, 2016. If there were any issues that we needed to be notified of regarding the purchase of our vehicle this dealership had our contact information. Darius was well aware of our flight schedule. It became very transparent that this dealership uses the "bait and switch" technique. After being told that our vehicle was sold we became outright irate and told Darius that he had 5 minutes to find the car that we put our deposit on. This dealership wanted to force us into buying the black scratched 2015 Honda Civic and take it off their hands. We told Darius that he had 5 minutes to find the car that we put the deposit on. If he did not find our car we were going to call the Better Business Bureau, the Vancouver Sun and the Police. It is illegal to sell an item that a customer has put a deposit on. Miraculously Darius found a 2015 silver Honda Civic in their stock parkade, go figure.

At one point the manager at this dealership came over to shake our hands and try to "fix" things. We refused to shake his hand and were very vocal about how we knew that he was in on this scheme. He actually must've thought we were STUPID enough to buy that he was not in on Darius' game of bait and switch. We refused to shake this manager's hand. We do not shake hands with scum bags.

We did get our vehicle. We will never recommend Carter Honda to anyone. A letter will follow to Honda Canada and this has not stopped here.

Watch out for the HIDDEN FEES when you sign the papers with the woman that does the financing. SLIMY, SLIMY, SLIMY!!!!! Honda should be ashamed!!!!

1. Got the ride there no problem 2. They didn't have the car I inquired about 3. After I turned down a more expensive car, they refused to give me a ride back home.

This is the place to get your Honda! I had a great experience buying a new Honda Odyssey van for my family. Everyone was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Specifically, we dealt with a great sales representative, Nick Ng. He help made the whole process easy and ensuring our expectations are met in every step of the process. People here are not pushy and we definitely feel they weren't in it only for the sales and money. Nick asked all the right questions in identifying the best solution for our situation, took the time to answer our questions and concerns and following up to ensure we're completely satisfied after the sale. The whole team at Carter Honda made me feel that this is a norm in their culture, though it's definitely rare in the industry. Once again Carter Honda gave us the opportunity to lease a new CRV while returning our late model early. We keep our vehicle on scheduled dealer service and keep it immaculate. Being a Honda though we get the usual absolute reliability, resilience, guaranteed safety, convenience, usability and fun to drive feel from it every day.

It s a win win.

We take the care of our vehicles and the vehicle takes care of us (and our families). We like to have a relationship with a dealership not just a "drive through no pun intended. If we have any concerns they are handled right away.

The process was the same quick, thorough and convenient service from sales and staff that we have come to expect. We give our bottom line for what we would like and they try to meet it. They make it their business to find out what the customer needs. We feel we can ask anything for clarification and we get the answers promptly. Candid questions are welcome and appreciated and of course you can always say no.

We love our Honda vehicles so it is always hard to part with them. When you know you are getting the same high standard with the usual improvements that come with new models it is kind of a "no brainer".

Overall i had a great experience with Bill. He is a really chill dude and very helpful on many thing. However, i told them this was my first time purchasing a car and i felt a little uncomfortable when one of the managers said to me, "can you give me a good reason why you don't want to get your signature down and buy the car right now?" Well, duh it was my first time buying a car so i didnt want to rush into making such a decision. But like i said, overall was great.

The finance manager Chelsey was friendly and helpful and she made sure i understood everything before i signed anything.

Had a great experience at this dealership this past week buying my first car since moving to Canada. I just purchased a car from this dealership, their service was excellent. Usually its a scary thing to walk into a dealership where you are not sure what to expect but at Carter they made everything look easy and smooth. The negotiation was very smooth we love our car and would definitely recommend anybody. Downtown dealership lived upto its name. I dealt with Pedro our salesmen he was the easiest person to deal with. Price was very high for what was done. I had 2 rear atv wheels that needed new tires to be mounted on original rims. One rim was missing the valve core and they did not install one (again paid a lot for what was done, definitely could have thrown in a valve core in

I don't always post reviews but this place has been consistently amazing on every visit so far! Transparent about procedures and costs, provides free shuttle services and overall just trustworthy and professional. Unlike other service centers I've been to, I don't ever feel like I'm being scammed at Carter Honda!

I live in Manitoba and had talked to Alan, the salesman, two weeks prior to picking up my car. He was unwilling to work with me on anything to do with the price even though it was a guaranteed sale. When I asked him about being PST exempt as I do not live and would not be registering my car in BC, he told me I would not have to pay it. This was obviously without actually double checking before answering me because when I got there with my certified cheque that I told him I was paying with, I was told by him and his manager that I do have to pay PST. Thankfully their finance manager actually knows what she's doing and just needed a couple photocopies to not charge me PST. After all of the hassle, I left the dealership only to realize they hadn't given me the safety paper. We went back to get it and once arriving home and going to register my car, found out the paper they gave me was NOT a safety and also not valid due to the VIN number being wrong! Needless to say I was very unimpressed when they argued and told me it was in fact a safety. Overall I love my car, but the experience was not great. Will never return and will never recommend to anyone!!

I recently bought a 2017 CRV at Carter Honda and could be happier. When I first walked in I was greeted by Aryan who was very knowledgeable, friendly and transparent through out the entire purchasing process. I took my time deciding and Aryan was not pushy nor did he attempt to up sell on things I did not need. The staff is accommodating and extremely friendly. Be VERY WARY of providing YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION to their sales team directly or indirectly. I purchased a vehicle from them over three years ago and they have kept hounding me with 'special offers' (text, voice, email) despite requesting they remove me from their lists more than once. It's a shame since their service department is quite good and the original purchase of the vehicle went well.

Ultimately, I was so frustrated that I asked that one of their managers call me to confirm that I had been removed. Nobody ever got back to me.

This morning, I just got a new email about a 'special time-limited offer' so it's likely someone will be calling me again soon. Oh joy.

SEP 27/18 Update:
Yep. I just got another sales call despite the response to my original review. My frustration was evident when the poor salesperson called me with no idea that I had repeatedly asked previous callers to stop calling. When I asked to talk to the manager ("Ariel") about yet another call from his sales team he did not feel it was important to talk to me. At this point, I have to assume repeated spam calls is a willful disregard of my wishes rather than negligence.

I will say it again. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR CONTACT INFO. They will call you incessantly despite your wishes.

I am regretting purchasing a vehicle from this company.

Both Google and their sign say they are open until 5pm on Sunday. I drove down to take a look at some cars and they had closed early for no apparent reason.

Sam in sales was very easygoing and a delight to deal with...... The sales manager took the time to introduce himself after the sale was completed......This is a busy little place........ I took the motorcycle on first ride after purchase and adjusted mirror while riding and the left mirror bar end type that was aftermarket for the bike....... second adjustment to same mirror same ride the Allen bolt worked loose and fell off......minor item and not factory so I left it........ but I am confident that the sales staff would have been happy to mail me a new screw
