The roller coasters are great! The newer ones, Copperhead Strike, Fury 365, and the Intimidator are full of thrills and are smooth. On a weekday, the fast lane addon was only useful for the newest rides. Other rides had reasonable waits. My only complaint about the rides is that two of the coasters were only running one train. The food was a little pricey but not surprisingly so. Lockers are $17 for the day for a small, and if purchased near the water park had to be emptied prior to 5pm. It would've been nice if that locker was available throughout the day.

Had a good day. Nice that the crowds were less. A bunch of school field trips but was not bad. Only real issue during the day were coaster ops struggling to keep coasters from stacking up. On the new ones, Fury and Copperhead, they did ok. All the others were so slow and stacking. Really need to get that ironed out before the big crowds come. Intimidator was closed without reason. That was a pain as we really wanted to ride it. Windseeker as well. Got the souvenir cup with free refills. That worked really well.

Good times to be had at Winterfest. You can drink hot chocolate while enjoying the lights or choose to ride the rides and iceskate.

While my experience was not the best, someone else might have fun. The amusement park was wonderful although, I've seen better, it's still a great park. The Carolina Harbour is fun. It's a water park with two giant pools that have a wave simulation and a kiddie water park. There are rides that could really be better but, they are fun. Don't get me wrong, they are fun, just not the kind of fun people would be looking for in an AMUSEMENT park. But overall "Carowinds, the park that brings the Carolinas together" is tons of fun. Much recommended.

Good experience. Lines are pretty long and lots of untended children running around. Still had a good time .

Theme parks are a RIP off and a scam. Torture and torment for adults. It would be great if the lines to get on rides weren't an hour + wait time.

It's always fun to come, anytime of the year. Winter Fest is our favorite.

Going during the day on weekends in November is amazing. It's like a different world with many of the coasters have ten minute wait times or less! Scarowinds is a really fun, immersive experience but if you want to go on rides, you'll be in a lot of lines that last an hour or longer. I can't wait to experience Winter Fest. Gold season passes were the best investment. About $110 a piece (with interest free monthly financing) to get in for an entire year and free parking. If you live locally, it's too good of a deal to pass up. Food is expensive and mostly bad, but that's to be expected. It's a lot more affordable to purchase meal plans as well. Or try to plan your time around eating right before you go.

Fun! Lots of walking on the season pass pre-opening. Rides were quick. Food and drinks are expensive! Family rides and friendly atmosphere.

Parking is horrible. Staff unfriendly. Park is unclean and not maintained. Park was shut down due to weather which turned into mass chaos. No direction or order was maintained during. Kids were being pushed and shoved while park employees were present. Nothing was said or done. Every employee encountered was rude and disrespectful. We will next time go back to kings island which is far superior.

Pretty decent park. Went on a weekday in late June and didn't have any major waits for rides. Weight guessing game turned out to be easy way to get decent sized stuffed toys for the kids. ;) Arcade had a lot of machine issues but the attendant did what she could to help. Some of the bathrooms needed updates and cleaning. The all day refill cups can only be refilled every 15 minutes. Go over the website carefully before you go for budgeting as the "nickel n diming" is strong with this one.

The stars are for the good coasters left (minus the ones they ripped out that were favorites ) It's a rude, overcrowded circus that rarely delivers time for 3-5 rides in full day. Wish things would get better. I miss the experience it once was.

Gotra love carowinds...I mean it is an amusement park...Be sure to ride the big boys the intimidator, fury. And tge new copper head strike! So much fun!

All my family bought a Season pass we make a good choice. The park is Always clean, excelent service. Variety Food and good price.

I love this park every time I come here! Summer months are particularly agonizing due to heat but otherwise, I had a blast when we went today! Lines were relatively short, employees were kind and food was good!

Love the upgrades at camp snoopy. Nice, clean, area.

It was amazing! Not all the rides are running and it would be great if a few more of the coasters were running. The lights are beautiful and the entertainment was surprisingly good. An all inclusive ticket was worth the price.

Carowinds is alright but they do a terrible job of checking the accessible spaces for cars that don t have any handicap tags which is frustrating for people like my mother

Carowinds is always a blast! If you plan on going more than once the Gold season pass is the way to go. Includes parking and park entry. Also able to make monthly payments if need. :)

The rides were decent enough for my 5-star rating, as well as the food places there and the games we can play.

such a fun place with lots of rides and games to enjoy your time there. variety of food and lots of stuff to do.

New event called Winterfest is awesome. They need to do a better job of letting you know what attractions are open. Instead of having the whole park open and having 1 thing open per section. Limit it to say half the park and open more attractions. To big to figure out where to focus your time. We didn't even know they had ice skating until we went up in the tower thingy and could see the whole park from the top.

Love to set the kids free and nap at the wave pool!

Over all had a great time my daughter and I at the park. Rides was great I would give five stars but ran into employees that had no respect and hated there jobs and was treated bad. Note not all employees was this way. Hope if I ever go back this issue is fixed I paid a lot of money to injoy the day.

Great value if you have a season pass. The food variety is good, but the food is not always fresh in most places. Panda express would be the exception since they seem to always be making fresh food when we are there.
The kids who run the rides are not always very friendly or knowledgeable, and they seem to be understaffed quite often after the college kids go back to school.
I have to say they seem to be trying to make a-lot of upgrades to the park the past few years though, and trying to improve the quality of the food preparation.
Overall we enjoy it and get season passes for our family each year because we get a-lot of use out of them.
The pre-k pass was an excellent addition that we got to take advantage of too!

Got there. Rode two rides, and park rides were shut down before 12 because it was cloudy.. hours passed with no rain, thunder, or lightning still shut down so we left. What a waste!

The new additions are great, the park has a major refresh this year and is now open through December and the season passes are a steal.

Its Carowinds!! Carowinds is a synonym for awesome! Its scientifically proven. Everybody knows it.

We buy gold passes every year! Great place to bring your family. There are attractions for all ages. Food and drinks can be a bit pricey, so it s a good idea to buy the meal plans. The water park is also a great place to visit if your looking to cool off. They have added several new water slides.

Outstanding non-stop fun, affordable, please keep it that way for all to enjoy! Great chicken fingers at Harmony Hall and good entertainment too! Love me some Carowinds!!!

this place is super fun i usually get a gold pass so i go all the time during the summer! the rides are awesome and the waterpark is great as well. Scarowinds and Winterfest are amazing too!!

Had a great time as usual. Went 2 times during the summer, once for Sc yesterday Scareowinds and had a blast, then closed out with a amazing but crowded New Years Eve Winterfest, all well worth it.

Amazing place. Wonderful rides and beautiful scenery. The water park can get a bit crowded, however it's still fun.

So much fun! The white water rafting ride was down which was a bummer and it started raining cats and dogs around 4pm so we missed the water park as well but this is def a great place for family fun. Something to do for all ages!!

We are regulars and love the rides offered. Would love to see more improvements by cedar fair over the upcoming years and bring it up to par visually with Kings Dominion.

We went yesterday 4/15/19. Really disappointed a lot of rides were down 2 had difficulty as we were in line to get one and another when my kids got on. I bought 2 day passes I sure hope tomorrow is better.

This place just keeps getting better and better. I'm looking forward to the new rides in 2018! I would love for this place to continue to keep getting better and give me a good excuse not to travel all the way to Florida to go to Disney World!

Carowinds need add drink holder at rides instead ripping off people for lockers. Other Parks aka Dollywood / Six Flags have drink holders. Especially after paying two Season Platinum Pass which over 400 +

This place is getting better every year! Our family has so much fun every time. I had some pretty low expectations going in since it's a theme park but I was blown away with how good the food is. Honestly, the brisket sandwich in Harmony Hall is as good as any brisket sandwich I've ever had. Since we live close by, the meal plan actually saves us money through the summer. Thank you Cedar Fair!

Okay so on April 12th I went on a field trip with Purnells JROTC program and a couple of friends of mine and me got on the night hawk and got stuck on the ride under the rain for 20 minutes and now we re all sick and I got an panic attack and they took forever to get us off the ride so I would really love an apology from the people.

We had a fantastic time at Carowinds! The roller coasters gives you a big thrill. Safety seems to be taking seriously here. The price is a little steep, but if you live nearby, you might want to consider get a season pass and will save a ton of money.

This park is located in both North Carolina and South Carolina. There are plenty of rides and attractions for the whole clan - food prices are steep, but the water park is pretty sizable and you're sure to enjoy your visit here. I would definitely return.

Nice variety of rides and food. It wasn t busy the day we were there, a Sunday, so we rode all the rides in less than half a day! Some more than once, so fun!

Same great rides from when I was a child. It's a little smaller than I remember with lesser rides. The water park is amazing. Great mini vacation for children and adults alike!!!!

Always one of my favorite places to go! It feels like every season food goes up in price even with no major upgrades. However, I highly recommend coming to the park considering you can leave to eat and come back!

Food is over priced and over rated. Highly disappointed in the staff's professionalism and will not be wasting my time, money or energy returning to this park .

So much to do, and So much fun!!!! I love this place!!

Winter, spring, summer, fall...anytime of the year, you ll find fun, family-friendly festivities for all to enjoy. I ve done spring and summer, looking forward to capturing fall and winter. The score is for bathrooms, that early on a Friday summer day is pretty disappointing.

Good amount of rides for all ages. They need to clean the trash cans they smell like old mayo and vinegar and it was early in the morning so they did not clean them the night before. The food is overpriced Universal Orlando is cheaper. Parking is $20 that's over price.

Our kids always have so much fun here. We love the rides and shows.

The rides are so fun they check you sometimes twice and gold passes they have and they are very entertaining

I can't believe how dirty this place is.
Most of the supervisors seem to be walking around talking to other supervisors or on their cell phones.
Apparently by my count it is a one-to-two ratio, supervisors to employee. No Wonder the prices are exorbitant. How in the .... do you expect somebody to want to pay $20 to park. It's a parking lot, maybe if you had shuttles it might be worth $20.
I will commend the upper management on making sure that on the hottest days that folks have access to a cup of cool water, probably they're doing it for liability, but still it's nice.

I came for the rapids and they re gone. I spent like an hour here tops cause the water park section is practically dead, nothing but slides and a wave pool. It s boring now.

If you are in Charlotte area, Crosswinds is something you should not miss. If you are a roller-coast fanatic you should not miss Fury 325, Intimidator, and Nighthawk roller coasters.

Great rides and lots of fun. Rained last time I there though. Really bad thunderstorm. Power turned off a few times. Took about three hours to get a raincheck.

Honestly, I was a little disappointed when I visited during the holidays. The website made it seem as if more coaster would be open; however, only two real coaster were actually open. These were not even one of the large ones. While I understand that the cold weather and scheduled maintenance played a large part in the ride closures, I really wish the website had been more clear.

Now on to the positives. If you have young children, or don't enjoy roller-coasters, or really enjoy Christmas decorations and lighting, this is a wonderful place to visit, especially considering the reduced holiday ticket prices. An hour before closing, there is a Christmas parade that runs through the park and lasts approximately an hour. It features dancing elves, Santa and Mrs. Claus, reindeer, etc. You can even participate in the parade and ride on the floats!

I definitely want to visit this place again during the summer to get the full roller-coaster experience.

All the rides looked fun but I couldn't actually ride any because half my group was the definition of band nerds

I took my grandson here and he absolutely loved it! They have some really fast and Fun roller coasters. I will say that the only reason I gave it a four-star instead of A5 is due to the park being more on the small side of what I am used to
