Great roller coasters and small wait times. Very awesome theme park.

Love this outdoor venue although getting seats in the covered section helps provide much needed protection from sun and rain. Been to Christian concerts here several times. Enjoyed them all.

We went to carowinds June 25th. I think it was the best park experience we have had so far.The longest wait was probably only about 10 or 5 minutes. There was no trouble getting through the parking process. It was a fun day.if you can get the chance,you should totally go.

Lots of thrilling roller coasters perfect for the pre-teen and up. 4 star rating is for the park in general. Chickie's & Pete's Philly Cheese steak is topped with nacho cheese, not provolone. They only offer the onions on it, no green peppers or mushrooms. Don't choose that item. Fries were delicious!

Loved the Water Park. The and slides and lazy River were so much fun!

Too expensive, but they're still the best in the Carolinas.

We love being close enough for a day trip to Carowinds! It's hot this time of year so drink plenty of water/ bring plenty! The best amusement in the area!

Carowinds continues to upgrade. And for that reason it deserves 5 stars. The employees on the rides do their best to provide you with a great experience. The rides are fun and thrilling and continually being added.

The parks cleanliness is great. You see staff cleaning up after guests, taking care of trash. I'm glad that the park is kept clean. Even the managers will walk around with pickers helping to aid in the parks cleanliness.

The food and beverage can be pricy. But with the meal plans you can get something to eat while staying in the park.

I love going with my family. The shows have improved a lot offering a variety. And don't forget winterfest. We went last year and I loved all the little sections throughout the park.

It is a really fun place to go if you have nothing to do. The rides are really safe and fun. If you have kids there is a area for them to ride stuff and have fun too.

Love this Park!! We visit many and are pass holders with cedar point (sister Park). Park was clean, smoking sections hidden well (great with kids with asthma). Staff super friendly. We'll definitely make the 10+ hour drive again.

Lots of fun! No long lines and the water park was awesome! Would recommend getting the souvenir cup, you get free refills the first day and $1 refills any day after.

Great Rollercoaters for adults. Also alot of rides for the kids. My niece loves it there.

Way too hot to be outdoors! They should invest in giant fans to blow on their clientele.

Over priced and over rated. Unless you are willing to pay double to be able to ride the rides more than once it's not really worth it.

Awful business practices. We bought 6 gold passes on the payment plan before Covid was a big deal. They refuse to cancel the payment plan or even partially refund the money already paid, even though the passes haven't been used and potentially can't for a long time.

Awesome time and most fun anywhere near the area. Fury 325 is incredible and exhilarating. Water park was ok but no where near the best I've seen. Would highly recommend especially for people new to the area or families wanting to throw some money down on a fun day.

Fun rides, waterpark during hot and rides at night. Grab the drink deal, skip the food.

The worst trip ever. My first time and had to drive 2 hours to get here. My boyfriend and I are really disappointed in the entire trip. Completely unorganized and probably won't be returning.

Season pass holder. Well worth the money. Great place to take the kids and make those memories that keep forever.

Had an excellent time during Scarowinds season. Park was clean. Go early if there is something you absolutely want to ride however.

Thrills on every ride. Mostly all rollercoasters, but the line was too long for Copperhead Strike.

Amazing experience. I haven't been in about 20 years and the upgrades are great!!! I can't wait to go back.

Lots of fun regardless of the long line getting in the park and waiting on rides last night was the second night of Scarowinds it was nice people dressed up like zombies and Throughout the park clouds of smoke that set the mood for scaring.
The food is a bit pricey but it is an amusement park over all it was fun ill definitely go back

Passholders for last 9 years.. and the service has been in a steady decline for the last few... today at the waterpark they didnt have enough lifeguards to open a few of the water rides. The excuse we received? College kids had to go back to school. So does that mean a bunch of college kids run the park, not service minded adults that were aware that the park still had two weekends left before closing? This is my second negative review this summer and honestly I will find it very hard to renew for next year....

I come here alot, and today was a good day to come. I had to perform for something, but we had a lot of free time. Their coasters are amazing, and food is good. The service is normally snappy quick, but when I went on Goldrusher, the person didn't tell anyone to go after a bit. She just stood at the back.

This is damage to person with 40 year old or more. I went just one roller and this enough to me.

Not a place for your smaller children. The people here will trample them.

I have always had a good time at carowinds. but 1 time when I went for winter fest they kicked everyone out because it wasn t busy enough. I m from Ohio near cedar point and on May they aren t busy. but they don t close the park.

Rides are fun and safe but lines are insane! The only way you can have fun here is by purchasing speed passes. By the time you purchase the speed passes, the park tickets and food, you could have gone to Disney. I did like that they service free cups of water throughout the day

With the addition of Fury 325, Carowinds became a must-visit destination for coaster enthusiasts. Like other Cedar Fair parks, it is clean, friendly, and very well-maintained. There is a wonderful novelty to a park that straddles two states, and I found myself walking along the dividing line with one foot in each Carolina.

Lots of fun attractions. Great water park. If you Love rollercoasters and thrill rides it is the place to go in North and South Carolina.

One of the BEST and most FUN places I've ever been to in my 26 years alive

I was highly impressed with Carowinds. This place offered a wide variety of rides, roller coasters, and good places to eat. Most of the staff were very friendly, and the quality of the rides and food were top notch. The only downside is that some of the clientele can be a bit on the rough side at times. Outside of that, I would highly recommend Carowinds to anyone visiting the Charlotte area.

There needs to be more fans and misters. It was very hot , I enjoyed the park as did my family. That wooden rollercoaster beside Fury needs to be torn down and updated. It's to dang rough. If you guys build another rollercoaster it needs to be more like fury325

Good inexpensive place to take kids for amusement park. Went during winter fest at was the very nice lots of Lights. Bought gold membership.

We had our commanders day yesterday and decided to spend it at Carowinds. Half of the rides were down and they didn't want to give us admission to come to the park another day. I feel like we wasted our money. This is definitely not how you treat your service members or anyone for that matter.

I think that there needs to be more regulations on how many people are aloud in the pools at one time. It is very easy to get separated from your children when it is over packed. My 10 yr old got only a couple of feet away from me, and I could see she was struggling with the waves and kept going under, but could not get to her due to so many people being in my way. I finally got her and shoved our way out of there without one lifeguard noticing or offering help.
But how could they possibly keep track of everyone with so many people?

Very nice and clean park. Employees were helpful, polite and seemed to enjoy their jobs. We appreciated that if they didn't know the answer to a question they went and found out the answer rather than make something up.

It was really fun 3rd time and did EVERYTHING!! had so much fun posing for the camera with my friends can't wait to go back but the night hawk took forever to get in and it always does for some reason even if there is really no line but besides that its great!

Is awesome, is hig the price but I recommend you to take sales packages because if you buy a ticket for one day costs to you like 150 including the food. But in my experience I took the golden pass 2019 for me my wife and son everything including for 680 dollars and you can go when ever you want, that price include.. parking tickets that is 20 dollar if you don't have the golden pass , include all the facilities machines that they have there, include food let me tell you something the food over there is expensive I get in panda Express two plates for almost 30 dollars so is better with the golden pass and drink , when you are buying the golden pass make sure that you include all of those items in your pass and it's more better that going only one day... I recommend buy a golden pass for everyone. You can eat what ever you want drink what ever you want and go when ever you want.

Come for the Fury and stay for the fun. Great park with lots of coasters and kid rides

Parade for Winter fest was awesome! The characters looked ecstatic to be there and interacted with members of the audience. We had an all-inclusive: completely worth the medium cost!

It rained and the food is very expensive but overall it was great

I have been going to this amusement park since being a child. It has changed owners a few times since then. The Cedar Fair group run it better than any other. The food is really good for an amusement park. The park is always clean and well maintained. I have never seen an overflowing trash can, or any ants, never even been bitten by a mosquito there!. Everything is freshly painted and the landscaping is really nice. They invest in the rides and buildings and it shows.

Omg!! I loved it. The intimidator was something serious and the Scarolwind was the best!!

Customer service refused to resolve the issue. We purchased a season pass in which we requested for our daughter's now ex-boyfriend's season pass to be canceled. Carowinds advised they are unable to do so and instead tried to sell us on next season's pass. For the amount of $$$ we spend plus all the of our out of town friends and family we bring there. This is what we get for customer service and understanding!

I've always had a great time at Carowinds. This time was no different. I'm glad they do Scarowinds now and now you can go for Christmas celebrations.

I love this place, it has something for everyone.. I have been buying a season pass the past 4 years and I will continue to do so while I reside in North Carolina. I usually go at least 5 times a year, always worth the money and line wait..

This was good and it is 30 min but after this to reach main exit it took more than 1hour

Had a very nice time at Winterfest. The lights were beautiful! But no surprise, food and beverages were horrifyingly expensive.

I spent $257.31 on tickets for Oct 20, 2019. It was raining heavily so I asked to a refund. I was only given $127 out of the total amount. The only reason I got that is because i refuse to take no for an answer and asked to see a manager and I stated I traveled from out of town. I had to show my driver license as proof. I am very disappointed because that is a lot of money to lose. As a result, I do not believe I will visit this park again. I recommend not buying a ticket until the last minute. Also, there was two roller coaster going throughout the heavy rain. I've been to many theme parks, all of which the protocol has been to shut down outside roller coaster during heavy rain for safety reasons.

My children have a blast. Bring a water bottle - you can fill it with ice cold water for free instead of getting those teeny cups or buying an expensive cup. Eat before you come - food costs are outrageous, in my opinion. Midweek seems to be the best time to come to avoid lines.

Such a great park! My boyfriend and I had a blast here just this past Thursday! There were a few things that weren't open yet and we were slightly disappointed, but it's only because its so early in the parks running season. Peak season is when it's the best! We will definitely be purchasing our season pass! Thank you, Carowinds for always being awesome and never disappointing us year after year! And thank you for being such a safe park with top notch rides with modern safety mechanisms to ensure guest safety! We feel very safe on your attractions.
