From Sales to Service our experience with Carl Black has been exceptional. The nice touches. . .free loaner car during an extended service, courteous service advisers (Jimmy in particular), even the free coffee & donuts & popcorn are nice touches. Most customers dread having to go to a dealership to buy a car or to have it serviced, including ourselves, however, from the first day we walked into the Carl Black dealership to look at buying vehicle, to subsequent service visits, we both comment have different the Carl Black staff is from other dealership. The customers leave with the impression that they are important and deserve the respect and the best customer service that can be provided. Carl Black does this. Keep up the great work!!!

Dwight, our salesperson, was exceptional. He was professional, polite, answered all of our questions and provided helpful information that we hadn't considered. We went from just wanting to test drive to taking advantage of 0% financing (which of course was ending the next day). Dwight stayed 2 hours past closing to ensure the deal got done. From Dwight, to the sales manager, to the finance manager, everyone made sure our customer experience was top notch.

Stay away. The stereotype of a skeevy and sneaky dealership. Beware of their 'multiple headed dragon' tactic. Horrible experience.

I called up Carl Black Orlando explaining that I had a sealed deal in my area for a used Mini. I told them the specs, and that it was including dealer fees. An extremely friendly Lauren, after talking to a manager, told me over the phone that they would match it. I asked them if they were sure as I lived over three hours away and was only willing to make the drive if that was the case.

Then Lauren completely disappeared out of the picture and Evan started handling my financing. I reminded him of the price and the dealer fee included and he told me that it wasn't. I told him that we had already negotiated it that it was. He said: "Oh, OK". (Playing the miscommunication card).

After a few days the financing was approved, hurrah! And I asked Evan to give me the economic specs to which he said: "I know nothing about the price, but but come in and we'll talk about it".

At this point, furious, I called the dealership and they passed me to a manager called Gill. (Oh, if only I had known I was speaking to the worst of them all!). I told him the figure we had spoken of "including dealer fees; everything but taxes, title and tag costs". To which he told me he'd call me back. When he did he said "Look, Lauren had spoken to a manager who is at a funeral in Georgia now but he tells me he didn't approve that price". <---- LIE LIE LIE.

Anyway, Gill says "look, for this whole inconvenience, I am willing to give you the car for the price I got it for, $23.967 ($500 more than the negotiated one), we just really want the approval and you to have a good experience". I actually gave in to his request, asking if that price at least included the fees. He said yes.

Next day, after a long journey, I show up and am greeted by Evan. We test drive. The car is a little beat up for the little mileage it had, but nothing that can't be fixed. Afterwards, when we ask Evan to bring out the numbers and he says: "Yeah, it's $23.990 plus DEALER FEE of $495". We tell him we have had enough and that we will walk away if the dealer fees aren't removed. Meanwhile, Gill can't even be bothered to come out and speak to us. Evan comes out again after talking to Gill and says "there's nowhere to go from here". He tells us to wait. We say, NO. And drive away.

As a result, my time was wasted (including an over three hour drive), their time was wasted, and all for them to scrape a little more cash in a dishonest way. STAY AWAY!!!

I got it that day and walked away with a great interest rate and a great monthly payment! I will never go to another dealership, at Carl Black they don't cheat you out of anything. They are the absolute best and I recommend them to everyone!

Horrible experience. The shop mechanics did not seem to know what they were doing. I went with a problem Told them all that I had done and I think they ignored everything I said. They recommended changing a part that I had changed and told them that I would change it again and I said I m sure that s not the problem I did It & it did not fix the problem. Two days in the shop and refused to look further than that one simple answer. Not much help at all.

He kept me informed of every step of the process even drove me to the bank. The dealership itself was clean and everyone was following covid 19 discretion.
I couldn't believe this car was for sale at the price it was below Kelley blue book suggested value I jumped on it only 15,000 miles Camaro SS woohoo!!!

I called to make an appointment and whoever I spoke with, she stated she couldn t find my warranty and that I would have to call the dealership that sold me my car. All it takes for them is to call with my VIN and they can find my warranty information.

I brought my car in for a new coolant resivoir tank. Mine was leaking and my brother had the exact same problem in his car. Thankfully we have the exact same car and have had the same issues come up. My service rep was Karen. She said I would have to pay a diagnostic fee of $100 which would apply to my labor rate. Her customer service was subpar but I decided to trust the dealership, as you would think that s where you would get the best service.

A few hours later I get a phone call from Karen, she laughs stating you re not going to want to hear from me. She states that I need the following: Coolant resivoir tank, a new cap, a coolant temp sensor, and a coolant flush which would come out to $770 after a 10% discount. I tell her there is no way I m paying that, and ask what is absolutely necessary for my car, she says we could potentially leave off the coolant flush which would leave me at $647.66. She used the typical pressuring tactics that my car needs it, will blow up, it s unsafe etc.

Thankfully my father has worked in the auto industry for over 20 years and has worked up to be a shop foreman of a luxury car dealership. I inform Karen I only want what I came in for, the resivoir tank and to top it off with coolant. The other stuff is unnecessary and she quotes me at $316. When I go to pick up my car, she tries telling me how I really need a new sensor and my engine could blow. I proceed to call my father and have her tell him that and refuses giving the phone to her coworker. If she is trying to say I need something, and thouroughly explain it to me, she should have no problem explaining that to a professional, right? Wrong. She doesn t talk to my dad at all. Some random guy who has no idea about my case speaks with him. I ask Karen about the other things I absolutely needed and she said they were just recommended. What a crook. Thank god I know that they could reuse the cap, did not need the flush, and if needed could buy the sensor on my own time.

My car hasn t blown up, I went to autozone down the street my sensor is working just fine. Never have I had such terrible customer service. You would make a lot more money if you had honest employees who cared about doing the right thing. I will NEVER come back to this location. As I left, I commented that $300 is much better than almost $800 and left with the biggest grin on my face. You will NOT scam me.

I brought in my 2007 GMC Acadia for a oil change and a check engine light and a low air pressure tire sensor light.
They diagnosed it with a stretched Timing Belt and a nail in each rear tire.
They replaced the Timing Belt ( which was covered thru a GM voluntary extended motor warranty ) and repaired the rear tires ( I bought the tires at this dealership ) and even gave me a 2014 loaner Buick Encore for 3 days.
Everything got repaired free of charge. I could not have asked for better treatment by Drake and the staff.
I have purchased 4 new vehicles here the past 8 years and will buy more. Thanks again!

Terrible experience, glad I did not purchase the vehicle from them and wouldn't go back:

Purchased a new GMC truck from one of their competitors two weeks ago, though Carl Black popped up on the My GMC app and I purchased accessories which happened to come from them. I specified overnight delivery on the mats so I wouldn't trash the carpets and paid extra to have them delivered directly to me. I also purchased a rolling bed cover to be delivered to the dealer and paid for the installation. Carl Black refunded the overnight charge and had the mats delivered to their office, (not why I'm writing the review, though I wasn't thrilled).

I called last Friday (5.31) to verify material was in stock, they informed me the internet sales person was out for the day and no one else was able to look up my parts at that time and that I would need to call back Monday or wait for them to call me.

Monday 6.3 a woman called which I was happy she followed through to inform me my bed cover and mats were in stock. The woman who called offered to set a service appointment, which was set for 9am this morning. I asked her how long it would take, she replied she didn't know and I would have to ask service when I came in this morning, not a good answer and she could've transferred me or asked, but it is what it is. I asked her if they had a vehicle I could rent if I didn't like his answer and she confirmed they did. I arrived this morning and asked service how long, he couldn't give me a straight answer and then advised that they don't have loaner vehicles for accessories. I informed him I didn't need a loaner and was willing to pay to rent a vehicle, but that didn't matter, this was their policy. The man from service was also stuck on the fact I didn't have my receipt present, I guess I was supposed to know to print a receipt from my email and bring it in, even though they had called me to tell me all my parts were in stock and not one time did the woman tell me to bring a receipt in when she scheduled the appointment. I ended up going to the parts dept and someone at the parts counter looked surprised to hear they wouldn't give me a loaner or rental. Regardless, I decided to pick up the parts and install on my own.

This is the only place my vehicles will ever be serviced. When I need anything done to my car Brent in service goes above and beyond to make things painless for me. Michael Elder was very professional through out the entire experience even when I was getting a bit overwhelmed since it is such a huge purchase. I never felt pushed into making a decision and the finance manager even came out to help explain everything to me. Michael worked very hard to get me the best deal possible and a monthly payment i was more comfortable with. Without a doubt could not have gotten a better deal.

I have been going to Carl Black Orlando for some time now, and everytime I go they make me feel like family.
Even though they don't know my name, or remember me specifically, they give me a warm welcome every time, and do not leave me waiting long before someone attends me or either assures me that someone will be with me shortly. They are are also reasonably priced and never push you to do anything you don't want to do or are not ready to----- this is regarding the service department.
Their hours are also very convenient! I believe they are open some where around 7am and close about 6pm; so if you need to call to schedule an appointment you may do so first thing in the morning, instead of having to wait until 8 or 9, where if you're like me you keep putting off and end up forgetting.
Now, the amount of time they take, varies. They have a comfortable waiting area with tv, popcorn, and water, even a kids room with cartoons on. However, if you're one that hates waiting, I would recommend to call ahead and see what their day looks like and maybe plan to have a ride back in case it's a busy day for them.

After talking to other dealerships, we knew that we were stuck for at least another year. Leo was AWESOME!!! He helped us work a miracle..... Their sales team was very responsive in working with me to answer all my questions and help me thru the sales process. Got a dealer-loaner (newish) Buick Verano in Decem...

Got a dealer-loaner (newish) Buick Verano in December. To get them to budge on price AT ALL was like pulling teeth. We kept getting calls, coming back, and asking for a reasonably lower price, and FINALLY they budged. So.. stay firm on your price, leave if you have to, and don't come back until they tell you they can sell the car at your firm price.

Now... here are the caveats:
1. The price was listed at $17,990, and if this was the out-the-door price, I would have walked out with one that day. However, they have dealer fees ($495), which are, honestly cheaper than all the other dealerships I went to, but they aren't included in the price.

2. They say they do this "aquapel, break light plus, etc. etc." to the car, and that drives the price up nearly $3000!!! They say "oh, we do these to all our vehicles" yeah yeah... so now the actual final price goes from $17,990 to nearly $24,000 after tax, tag, title, and all the other "upgrades" that are included in the car.

3. There was a dent in the driver-side door, and they were not going to remove it, in fact, it is still there. Now, our salesperson, Josh is a VERY NICE guy. He said he would pay for it out of pocket, but their detailer was not there at that time.

So... I got the car for $20,000 out the door. I am VERY happy with the car, and will get the dent out when I am back in Orlando. Yet I had to fight tooth-and-nail for the price, there are nearly $4000 of additional cost added to the car's advertised price, and also, I have had the car for just two weeks, and one of my indicator lights is already out... for a car with less than 3,000 miles on it. So all in all, it was a very typical car buying experience. Nothing special about them over any other dealer.

I highly recommend Carl Black. As a mom, my top priority was finding an affordable vehicle that was safe for my children. The sales team at Carl Black listened to my concerns and helped me find the perfect vehicle for myself and my family. The service department is second to none! Kyle is excellent and took the time to answer all of my questions. Not only is he passionate about making sure the customer is satisfied, but he genuinely cares about the safety of each individual. I am super happy about my choice and highly recommend Kyle and his team.

I had a great experience with taking my 2017 Chevy Equinox into Carl Black, I had experienced an issue that I thought was major while driving, Carl Black was so accommodating by accepting my vehicle for service on a Sunday when they were not open. My assigned service adviser Alex contacted me first thing on Monday morning to let me know they received my vehicle and they would have a diagnosis as soon as they could. I was very appreciative when they let me know that it was actually an easy fix and was not only repaired but also covered under my manufacturer warranty! I would definitely take my vehicle back and request Mr. Alex as my service adviser.

I had been to 3 dealerships a total of 7 times to find a truck. Visiting Carl Black on 3 occasions. It has been close to 20 years since I purchased a car. I was in shock at the sticker price. Regardless each person I spoke with was empathetic and low pressure. 1st visit the sales man (Blanco) walked me around the lot to sit in cars. 2nd visit ran numbers for a truck for that I discovered was outside of budget. 3rd visit met with a new sales rep due to Blanco being with other customers. We will call him "Vols". Vols was fluent in every part of a Chevy truck. We test drove a base work truck that Blanco had set aside for me. An agreement was reached but fell through due to a clerical error the deal fell through after the agreement was reached. Regardless, it was an exceptional experience. It did not turnout in my favor but at the same time I left happy and full of sushi. Honorable mention to Finance Manager and "the Cuban".

March 28, 2018 was the day I decided to visit the dealership to see if I was able to trade in my 2017 Nissan Sentra SR Turbl I knew I was upside down by a lot my interest was around 13.50% & my monthly payment was $566.66 a month & I must say Joshua Castaldo the sales guy told me not to worry we will put you in a new car. I thought it was all a game I tHought I was going to get declined due to my credit score & being upside by $13,000 but Joshua Castaldo told me not to stress it so i went ahead and did the credit application & Joshua came back & told me I was approved for a 2018 Chevy Malibu LT I was in shock I usually get declined or either ask for a co-signer but this dealership truly did help me I was very pleased how they welcome me and help me find the perfect car!!!!! I started signing the papers & boy how I was please and happy to say I will be paying $522 a month that s included with gap and my loan interest was at 6% I m very thankful how Joshua Castaldo helped me in the long run and the managers who helped me get into the car I wanted for a long time!!!! I will definitely recommend people to go here to shop for their next car!!! They will help you no matter what the upside down is or credit score!!!!! We were in the market for a new car because ours was stolen and we didnt think we would be getting it back so we planned on using the insurance money as the down payment. Shami Johnson was our salesman and he was amazing! Always courteous and very knowledgable about the products! He was very patient with us as we were going back and forth between 3 different models of the Malibu. There was no pressure from him to buy a vehicle right away. We left and came back a week later after we found out our stolen vehicle was recovered and we would be getting it back. We still wanted a new car and with less money down than we had anticipated Shami and the rest of the team was still able to make that happen! WOW! This was the best car buying experience I have ever had by far! I was approached And greeted by a young respectful man named Luis as soon as I stepped out of my car. The lot was full of some great looking vehicles with tons of options! The service was excellent. We tested multiple small cars (spark and sonic) but they suggested a bigger car (Trax) with similar payment. The dealer was a nice young man. We negotiated and finally bought the car. My friend also was with me and he bought a Malibu too. Funny, it was Saturday and they served a lot of sushi and other delicious foods :-)

We were in the market for a Chevy Volt with our 'must have' features and sans 'don't want to pay for' features - something we weren't certain even existed. Turns out, it was! ...140 miles away at Carl Black.
We called and made contact with Mr. Raheim Brown who addressed our questions and facilitated our application and negotiations via phone and email. A few days later, when we were able to make the trip, we met with Raheim at the dealership. It turned out that we were able to get a bit more for our trade in and, because we were already ahead in the acquisition process, our meeting with finance was expedited.
From the outstanding service we received in advance of our visit through the finalization on site, the process was a painless pleasure - quite rare for a car buying experience!!
In short: the dealership, like other organizations, has no value without its greatest asset - its people. The car was a great find and a great buy, but the people of Carl Black made the difference!
