Oysters were incredibly fresh and delicious. Steak came with roasted vegetables at a good price. I looked around and these guys had a better price. Location is right on the water. Live music in the evenings.

Had a couple of FABULOUS cocktails (Blackberry Mule, if I remember correctly - I may have the berry wrong) also had the creme brulee. Its not my favourite in general but I shared some of my dates' and it was SO creamy and had the most delicious vanilla flavour. My memory recalls specks of vanila bean amongst the custard! Wonderful but hip vibe. Candelight and a couch to lounge on. We were underdressed but no one cared. (Thank you, I needed that!)

Magnificent location, food and service.
Sitting on the deck drinking an ice cold beer and eating the yummiest prawn curry was simply the best. I remember thinking to myself at the time 'how happy I am to be me right now'..

Bias up front... My favourite Vancouver restaurant. This particular visit was just appies and cocktails but they were delicious. I've never had a bad server here and food though simple is always done to perfection. Really just great value and an unbeatable setting.

Get the squid platter for two and a sangria! You can't go wrong sitting on the patio either!

Not that cheap but amazing food and ambience to have a upper scale meal without the need for a fancy table setting.

My boyfriend and I came today for a lunch. We arrived just before opening. Even with the restaurant restrictions, the guest service was attentive and friendly. A little bit of a long wait for food, but was delicious. I had the Quinoa salad with salmon and he had a burger. Pretty decently priced for an organic burger. Overall a little pricey but they have a great selection for all diet types.

The service and food is always OUTSTANDING when we go to Cardero's. They not only accommodated one extra guest for us the waiter was super attentive and professional. We ordered the Grass-Fed 7 oz. tenderloin, as this is one of my favorite dishes there, but the steak was not cooked appropriately. They not only corrected it immediately, they removed both orders from our bill. I think they may have had a new kitchen staff member and this can happen anywhere but it's how the staff and management deal with it that makes a difference. What we love about coming here all these year is that the atmosphere is so warm, inviting, and the background noise is never overpowering. Their team of servers are also so good at what they do, they know the menu, they make recommendations and the service is hard to beat anywhere else. This continuity is not something you see very often in restaurants that have the longevity that Cardero's has. Over time most restaurants make short cuts or compromises on food quality, well not Cardero's and that's what makes them stand out and sets them apart. Love this place.

My wife and I arrived around 215 this afternoon when the restaurant was far from busy. We were seated immediately next to the window along the marina, which was lovely. We enjoyed the pan fried oysters, which were perfectly cooked. For main courses we had scallops, and the "special" salmon with dill sauce. Both were unremarkable, and in fact, we commented we could (and have) made better ourselves at home. The service was dismal, with extremely long waits for drinks, refills, bread, and the courses ordered. As mentioned, the restaurant was not busy, and appeared to be staffed appropriately. This was a disappointing dining experience since the restaurant could and should have delivered more.

We had a large work group. Manager was great he moved our large group inside for happy hour..even though the waiter said they had no happy hour???. Once we moved inside the waitress was good but snobby as she acted as she was doing us a favour by letting us be in her section. Happy hour drinks good but my food was very disappointing.

Excellent! Found grilled salmon with veggies and rice on the kids menu, my daughter loved it.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I went to Vancouver for a conference and came to this restaurant twice because their seafood selection is fantastic and service is great.

Great service. Nice views. Yummy happy hour appies. The dinner menu could be elevated in my opinion. Love coming here to cozy up by the fire and enjoy a glass of wine & some snacks.

To me, one of the best seafood restaurant in Vancouver. Even though we didn't order more seafood food items; I can tell that the food, service, ambiance, uniqueness (in food, restaurant design and overall impressions) were met above my expectations.

We ordered Seaside Platter (Baked Ribs, Wok Squid, and Wok Chicken), and a side of Roasted Cauliflower.

I highly recommend this place, and I would return again.

Excellent service and great food! Taylor was our server, he was phenomenal, funny, sociable , and it was all around a wicked experience. We felt right at home (as always when we come here) and will continue coming back. Thank you for the (consistently) unreal service, food and beverages.

Wow! Great experience here! We were a bit skeptical because this area seems a bit touristy but a local recommended it.
Super fresh seafood (lobster tail, scallops, oysters even though they were from the East coast, prawns which we had to order a second dish because they were the freshest we've had probably ever!), well thought out savory dishes (kale salad AMAZING, brussel sprouts AMAZING)
Our server Neil was exemplary, pleasant &mindfully engaging, very knowledgeable with wines & with menu ingredients to assist with my girlfriend's food allergies, was attentive despite it being a little busy, he was clearly able to manage his section. Make a reservation a day or two ahead as it seems they book rather quickly

Salmon was very overcooked and-this was to be there specialty.? The place was way to noisy and the food was served lukewarm. If you want to have a quiet meal with great ambience, thi is not your place. The quality and quantity of food was not worth the price. On my do not try again list.

Attending service and delicious meal! Great atmosphere too, highly recommend for any special / casual occasions. My fav was Mediterranean prawns and scallops, tons of flavor and texture. You won't regret ordering this :)

Is this restaurant really Cardero s? And, who is Cardero? Does he really exist? These are the questions that keep me up at night.

Great service but over priced. Food was mediocre. Chowder just tasted like tomato soup.

We dine at Carderos often and have for 20 years or more. Excellent food and service always.

Wow. Great food. Great service. Wide selection of prices. Sicilian pizza was fantastic.

We were disappointed in the food-it was alright but nothing to write home about (fish was dry, rice kinda boring, but all decently tasty). However the atmosphere, location, service, etc was fantastic. Our server was awesome and even had a gift for my children that made our dining experience so fun. We had better fish from small mom and pop shops on our vacation so we expected more. I'd give it another try if we're back that way again.

Good place to stop by and have a drink while walking in Coal Harbour.

We had a large group of about 16 people, and everyone agreed that the food was very good, the services was excellent (I think our server was Peter), and the prices were about right. I had oysters for starter and the salmon for a main. Our server made great recommendations for wine, had very good knowledge of the menu, and was very sociable with our group. We would all be happy coming back here.

Love this restaurant - it perfectly encompasses the laid back West Coast vibe with the downtown feel. We had a large group here and (7 people) and spent about $400. The prices reflect the quality and service you receive - which is excellent.

Went here for our office Christmas dinner. 10/10 service, 10/10 on the food, 10/10 on the drinks. For my entree I had the Buddha Bowl, it was absolutely delicious. The chocolate mousse cake for dessert was amazing as well. The servers were all on the ball and very accommodating to make sure everything was taken care of for all our guests. Overall I am very impressed with my experience here and can see myself coming back to eat here again.

Hands down one of the best sea food restaurants I've been to , definitely would go back next time I'm in Vancouver , it's expensive but worth the money :)

I've been on a salad diet now for five days. Loved their Spinach Salad! I felt like ordering another. I guess some things don't change. I did ask for more goat cheese. Too bad I didn't get to see the sunset, but the boats, the buildings and the water made for a nice setting. My friend wasn't all that impressed with the burger. Four days off the meat for me! Pretty cool for my first time having dins at Coal Harbour..

Great service, great view, great food and great drinks - definitely not cheap.

This has to be, by now, A Vancouver institution -- have been going here for many years and the current iteration (and the changes are subtle) is the best yet........food is rock-solid good (bordering with certain dishes on the excellent) service is knowledgeable and very friendly, wine list spectacular (not in terms of cost -- though you can find pricey here -- but in terms of quality and local offerings). The latest layout sees the noise levels down, which is a good thing (the noise-level is seriously above a hubbub!!). I'm sure there's better specific offerings in Vancouver, but for allround excellence few will best Cardero's.

Fantastic location in Coal Harbour, on the Sea Wall and near Stanley Park. Great service and food. Beautiful restaurant band location.

Had a great fresh seafood dinner here tonight. I ordered the Halibut special with broccolini, carrots, and wild rice. My wife got the same and the little one ordered a steak. Our waiter was great and worked with us to pair the right wine. We will be back when we are in Vancouver!

I loved the food. The setting is also beautiful and easily goes very amazing together with the beautiful ocean/harbor view. It is friendly for all ages. The staff are very nice and want to hear what you have to say and they will help you. It is good combined with a walk to and fro along the harbour. My only wish was better signaling of the washrooms.

Nice place to eat or drink, very good location and on the water plus live music in the bar. All good.

i like to have family brunches or lunches here. the seafood is really good. i like their drinks too. their patio can be fun during summer

Great place to visit at the bay in Vancouver, great views, great food and great service plus you get to see the planes water landing authentic harbor.

I would give this place 7 stars. The food was absolutely fabulous. The best lemon drops I had while in Vancouver. My friend really enjoyed his meal and talked about going there again in the future.

Your restaurant is very amazing! They have exceeded my expectations. they are very helpful, friendly and when they serve, they show their genuine smile. When I ordered something, they did not make me feel mad about waiting because they are very quick when it comes to serving their customers. I must say that they have great customer service. I really love the shrimp dumplings were to die for! When you choose this, I am pretty sure that they serve you the best dishes with a smile and you can also wear a smile.

This place is ok but oh! so loud and the menu not that interesting.
