This restaurant is OK. The front door is unorganized and unwelcoming, sadly enough that was our first impression of the place. Our server was unenthusiastic and uninterested. The expeditor that ran our food looked exhausted and definitely didn t want to be there. The seafood is really fresh and tasty, but you can get better seafood around Vancouver. One piece of advice to management: running prices as high as you are the staff should look and carry themselves accordingly. Food knowledge was there, but overall extremely mediocre experience. Our first time too for my partners birthday.

I have been there twice. First time everything was nice and awesome. Waitress was the nicest person. Second time we did not order alcohol and waitress left us for half an hour and did not do much. The view and the location is unique. Prices are not too high but it is not cheap as well. Upper average I would say.

Food is ok. Service is amazing, a staff super friendly.
A little bit pricy for the quality and taste.

Food was very good as well as service. We got the signature salmon as well as the linguine vongole. Both were flavourful.

Really fantastic. Great atmosphere. Service is attentive and food good. The "seafood platter" is likely not the best choice because though fresh is a tad plain.

The great view would satisfy you even you don t like the meal.

Went here for a work outing and we let each other try things so I got a good sampling of what Cardero's has to offer, and it's delicious!

Great service but happy hour food was meh. Their main menu food are way better and tsstuer

Very friendly and professional manager and staff in a lovely settings. Delicious food. I recommend salmon burgers, topped with avocados and mushrooms

The food here is good and the service is beyond excellent

I have been to Cardero 's three times and enjoyed each visit. The first time was for dinner with a group of eight and nobody was disappointed. The food was great and the portions were good. I was very impressed with the service. Our server what very attentive throughout the night and she always made sure we were having a good time. The other two times were stopping by for drinks at the bar. Both nights, they had live music which added to the night. Again I was impressed by the staff. I would highly recommend going to the Carbero's Restaurant.

Loved this restaurant. Get bar area overlooking the harbour, Stanley park and the north shore mountains. Great food and very friendly staff. But the views are the best!

Had a wonderful Sunday evening here with my sister-in-law. The drinks are a tad expensive but the bartender Colin is fantastic. He can literally read your mind and make you the perfect cocktail based on the flavour profiles you are feeling like. Plus theres some great live music here on sunday evenings.

They were able to slip us in without a reservation and we had yet another great meal. My wife had the mussels and a harvest salad, she loved both but took half the salad home for next day's lunch. I always have the salmon burger, and I thought it was even better this time, nice and juicy. It was a beautiful evening so we had a leisurely stroll into Stanley Park. Btw, easy parking at the base of Jervis, always a spot at the community centre parking.

Service was outstanding as well as the food, even though they were busy. This is a well run restaurant! Best seafood restaurant I discovered in Vancouver! Hope to return before leaving Canada

My first observation: the menu is pricey. My girlfriend ordered the Linguini with Clams and it wasn't great at all. I ordered the Prawns and Scallops with quinoa and it was delicious. I also enjoyed the BC wine and the bread and butter. The service was good.

Decided to come to this restaurant for some local oysters and seafood but was extremely surprised to find that they don't offer oysters from BC. We decided to go with the salmon and the halibut. The salmon was great and flavorful but the halibut was really disappointing. It was supposed to be paired with a mustard and whiskey sauce but it was pretty bland and tasteless. Overall I wasn't impressed with the food.

The service was very good on the other hand. The server was very polite and quick.

Lobsters was good. Creme Brulee was very good.
Music is loud and clear, I thought it was a live band at first.
Waiter was one of the best.
On 2015 New Year Eve dinner.

My porkchop was very good. My mother did not care for her halibut, my wife and son said their salmon was good but not great. The service was excellent.

By far my favorite fine dining restaurant in the city. The food was prepared immaculately and tasted perfect. (Just one cooks opinion)

Fantastic service with great views to Coal Harbour. Food is excellent and not too pricey considering the location and decor. Very nice restaurant (& pub). Highly recommend Cardero's Restaurant.

We'd give it a 15 if we could for the first night (Monday March 6th) we went and sat at the bar, where Jamie was amazing, a real pro, with the right attitude .... exemplary guest service, and our food.. phenomenal! My hubby and I came back the next night, sat in the exact same spot after the Montreal vs Vancouver game and would rate that experience with one star. Not even close to the same experience. We were 2 of 3 people sitting at the bar. We had to wave the bartender named Nick down as he was too busy chatting up a gal at the bar that we were ignored, filthy bar counter... he just swept a few crumbs away with his hand... empty drinks, no offer for a second, had to wait excessively to pay the bill. Nice enough guy, but not on task at all, my husband didn't want to leave a gratuity, but I insisted that we do as I'm in the business. Thankfully our first experience was stellar so we'd return for sure, but would only sit at the bar if Jamie was working. I wanted to speak to the manager the night before to say how fabulous Jamie was, wish I had but the building was full of happy diners. Beautiful venue, and the live music was wonderful.... worth checking out!

Waited for a waiter for half an hour, few people came after got their drinks and food and no one even said hi to us!!!

Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing location. I have travelled the world and this is one of my favorite spots.
Tonight we had the pleasure of sitting by the bar with Taylor. He was amazing - some of the most enjoyable customer service I've ever had (and I've been in the service industry for over 8 years). If you get to sit with him, ask for his special shot, "Mini Grapefruit sour, y'all"

Great Caesar's salad with gigantic prawns, but the magarita was not that tasty. We sat at the bar as it was mother's day and all outside seating was taken. Fabulous views from the deck, marina and mountains.... great great place, friendly staff.... I'd go back for sure, not on a holiday next time.

The food, ambiance, and staff were all great. We had a lovely time.

Been here many time, always thought this place s food was second to the view as it s located next to the water in coal harbour. Today it was exceptional, top notch server, the fettuccini was cooked to perfection, the mussels were today caught fresh and the sauce of it was fantastic. Nothing better I can ask, absolutely worth every penny.

Oysters was good, The rest of the food was tasty .What i didn't like was# the service # it was just so slow and frustrating , we waited like one hour to be served knowing that the restaurant was not full at all. The man that served us was really nice so the problem was in the kitchen

Great location on the water and boats. Music in the evening was great. Excellent servive and food

Was disappointed with the menu. Was looking for a good fish and chips but they only had expensive fish and you could have chips. Different varieties of wings would have been nice. The burger was great. This was the less pricey option but still expensive but they don't have to worry about that because is was packed on a Monday night.

Always good and a great place to take people from out of town.

I had heard from a bunch of people how amazing Cardero's was so I thought to try it out with my boyfriend.
We were not disappointed!
I wish there was a bonus star option because we were "blown out of the water." (pun intended)
We had a nice window seat right by the boat dock with pretty twinkly lights outside. The inside of the restaurant was absolutely beautiful which made me feel way underdressed. Our server was extremely attentive to us and kept topping our wine up when it got low. I am sure this is common for fancy restaurants but I sure appreciated it. Now the food... my god it was the best meal I have ever eaten and it was well worth the money. I ordered the main burger and my boyfriend ordered the bucket of mussels, calamari and shrimp. My burger was the best burger I have ever tasted and the fries were next level. I highly recommend eating here at least once.

Excellent food quality, cost environment, great servers.

First time in - burrata appetizer was a bit disappointing portion size, barely a tablespoon of cheese. Buddha bowl main was very underwhelming. No seasoning or flavouring on any component and no sauce or dressing offered. Service was good. The restaurant itself seems like it could use a facelift.

My favourite restaurant in Vancouver. Great views, atmosphere, and seafood.

Good Place for Business Dinners and Tourists
Cardero's Restaurant is situated right on the water on one of our most beautiful city-walks, Vancouver's Seawall walk. It is a corporate restaurant so expect good service, good food, a wide selection of choices and respect for any, and all, allergies. It is a great place for a large business dinner, you will get to show off the view, and sample some of our local products (seafood anyone?). The service is efficient, the bartenders are on the ball, and the place is large enough that if there is a line up, it is never for too long. There is a local musician doing his sets nightly, great classic covers, which is soothing and makes you feels connected, and nostalgic. It is a good feeling. The food is fresh, fast and served in good-sized portions. The seafood selection is quite good, there are Asian inspired dishes, comfort food dishes, and pub food choices. They have many choices for the Gluten-free crowd too. My favourites there are the Har Gow and Wok Chicken for appetizers (really good). The salads are large and fresh with just the right amount of dressings and toppings (try the Cardero's Big Salad). Mains are all pretty good too. Like I said a corporate restaurant with corporate concept, including food and service. Good, but now crazy memorable. It is a place where everyone in your group can find something and be sated.

Popped in after a walk around Stanley Park. Grabbed a beer and some snacks at the bar with a friend. Convenient location if you walked/cycled into the park as it's right there when you come back out. Nice atmosphere and good views.

Our hostess Laura was very good to ensure we were seated quickly and our server Daniel was very energetic and knowledge about the menu. He even had some great suggestions including a platter for 2 which was amazing. Great night out. Appies main dessert and drinks for 2 $125. Good prices

First time: Love the food and the ambiance. All excellent.
Second time: taste of food was not as good as before and I got food poisoning after the meal. We ordered cheeseburger/salad/fried on the side and pizza with cold cuts and arugula toppings.

One of my favorite spots on summer eves is the Cardero's patio. The bar area is cozy and nice with live music at nights. The menu; however, hasn't changes for ages. It would be nice to introduce something new once in awhile.

Here is need to reservation at dinner time if you don't reservation have a waiting time. Very good services and delicious but little bit expensive.

Loved it. Our waiter was fantastic. The food and ambiance were superb.

Came by after a Dental conference, had great service, excellent food and the chairs in the lounge are super comfortable plus they let us stay almost 1 hour after close to finish our drinks.

Jill the waitress needs to learn how to behave. She was rude and condescending. Not sure if she meets the criteria (probably not...) because she clearly sounds to like a high school drop-out.. thanks for the experience and hope we never see you again
