Please no not sleep on this place. I live in Winnipeg, so whenever I travel to Vancouver I make sure I eat dinner at least once here.

The staff is nothing short of professional, welcoming, and warm. The food I will let speak for itself. Simply fantastic.

Seafood is a feature and I would reccomend you take advantage of it. If that's not your thing I understand, try the ribs.

The atmosphere, menu choices, the server's.... all over the top. We can't overlook the unique architecture or the decor of Cardero's as it all sums up to an incredible dinning experience.

The wife wanted their seafood platter which cost $$$$$. Was not worth it. But I enjoyed the view and staff. I would try here again.

Amazing, very good indeed. I ordered a T-bone that was excellent, I had not eaten so good in a while. The people who were with us ordered seafood and all, without exception, loved the dishes, I recommend Cardero's Salmon.

Below average food. Below average service. Above average prices. Appetizer dishes were not cleared out when done. Busser brought out the mains and had no space due to appy plates. Busser tried to juggle clearing the table and serving the mains. Busser asked my wife to help clear the table. Steak was way over cooked. Will not return.

Fun vibe. Great crowd. Amazing location and view. Its great for casual dining. The look inside is Pacific Rustic. You may have to wait to get a table in the evening but the wait isn't too long normally.

Interesting atmosphere and friendly staff. unfortunately paying $42 for a small piece of fish at lunch is a little rich for me. If you got money to burn definitely check this place out.if you want something a little bit more reasonable there's lots of better choices in the same area.

Have visited before for Sunday brunch with a couple of Ceasers, and have always been impressed. Dinner was good, although we had a limited menu, but the service was great and it had a really positive, upbeat vibe.

Our server was very informative, we were sharing a meal so she had the kitchen staff serve our meals on smaller seperate plates which was a nice unexpected touch..the service itself was slow, however it's a lovely large restaurant right on the water, but be sure to book if you want a spot on the deck

A Fine restaurant with a "Varied Menu".

A Fine restaurant with a "Varied Menu".
This restaurant has excellent seafood and fish choices-- but also, dishes such as hamburgers, steak and spare ribs and even Pizza are "on offer". The quality of service is very "professional"... and the atmosphere/ambience is conducive to "dining", and that is a big plus!! The "wine list" and drinks, like the food is "more than acceptable! In addition to the food, the restaurant's "pub" features music every evening as well as afternoons on the weekend. You will definitely enjoy a visit to this interesting culinary experience/night out!

I hope that this Review is helpful.

Went for burger + fries + full Caesar salad to start. I dunno, the menu didn't seem that appetizing. Was glad I got what I got. The other mains, which some others at the table ordered, such as the game hen, the spaghetti bolognese, and the tuna were quite small and didn't look particularly great. If you going to go for one of those mains, grab a few sides as well.

This restaurant never disappoints. I eat here one or more times every time I am in Vancouver. One of the best in Vancouver. I had a late lunch. The salmon burger was delicious. My dinner favourite is the cedar plank salmon. The service is outstanding at carderos and the seafood is fresh and delicious. As a tip there is a happy hour menu Monday to Friday between 1-6pm with reasonably priced dishes ($8-12) and the house wine ($5). I always recommend this restaurant to people visiting Vancouver. The view of the mountains is stunning. Should you wish to eat dinner you should make reservations (particularly on Friday or Saturday night).

This place is a good business. They serve good food, they have reasonable service and they charge accordingly. In short, good for dates or if you want to have a hassle free no surprise dinner with friends or family.

We really enjoyed our lunch in this coal harbor restaurant which is an upscale area which is a bit touristy too. The prices clearly reflect that. The ambiance is pretty warm and casual with beautiful water views. The food is pretty good especially the sable fish which melts in your mouth. The Buddha bowl is also quite delectable. Our server Casey provided excellent service and made for a really wonderful dining experience. The entrees are pretty expensive at 35 - 45 CAD on the average but if you can afford it then this place is worth the splurge. We are very healthy eaters so this place is more of an indulgence than regular go to spot. Although this is not our usual "healthy" place, we were still able to find some "healthy-ish" options so I would still be back here and would recommend this place to pretty much anyone who enjoys good food.

Nice restaurant in a great downtown location. Prices are on the higher end but not out of line for what you d pay in a downtown setting. Food was very good and our server was helpful and professional

Our Dine Out Vancouver experience was a home run. Everything came quickly and deliciously. It really pays to come for an early dinner around 5pm as the food comes out lightning quick. Great food, good service. Very happy.

Love coming to Cardero s, especially in the spring and summer time when I can enjoy their patio. Food is consistently tasty and I always come back for their seafood platter. A little pricy since it s right on the sea wall (tourist central) but the view, food, and atmosphere is worth the price.

The waiters are nice, the setting is nice no more but the food is not worth the price. $ 60 a shared plate for 2 that would barely serve for one person. The food seems thawed, it's good but it does not break bricks. To avoid if you have a tight budget.

Cardero's is as most incredible restaurants should be. Clean, amazing venue, superb food, and seasoned professional wait staff. A deck table would be amazing but difficult to muster. Ask for a window, enjoy the scenery. The seafood is tremendous. A must do in YVR. Stay in the Westin Bayshore next door, run or walk the seawall daily, and dine at Cardero's. Life is good,.

Came here for brunch and I ordered a Caesar salad, the avocado smash toast, fried oyster, and the fish and chips. I highly recommend the fried oysters and fish and chips. However for the chips I substituted it for Truffle Parmesan fries-I highly highly recommend. Those were one of the best fries I had. The truffle was there but not too strong where it overpowered the Parmesan. The fluffy cheese on top was perfect it was sweet and it paired well with the truffle. A plus is that the fries were cut thin.

TERRIBLE. What a disappointment. We where told there was no way we could be seated before 9pm on a Sunday nite. When we arrived for our 9pm reservation the restaurant was completely deserted. After being seated for almost 15 minutes we had to go to the bar and order our own drinks.
When the server delivered our drinks my wine glass was either used or filthy.
It was an expensive evening for a very mediocre dinner.
Wont go back.

Nice views. Menu didnt do much for my liking and for being a seafood restaurant they didnt have any sort of Crab on the menu at all. Not even a basic Fish and Chips but instead had few diff burgers that were ok.

Good selection of wines and craft beers. Unparalleled views of the marina, harbor, Stanley park, and the north shore mountains. We didn't try the restaurant, but it seems very popular. A lovely place to stop for a rest and a drink while exploring Coal Harbour and the waterfront.
