Did the Cathedral tour, really enjoyed it. The tour guide was great and was informative and entertaining. Recommended.
Motre Guide Linda was very relevant and easy to understand in English. There were bats flying a few inches from our heads. the cave cathedral acoustics is surprising. We are made to listen to a little opera!
Interesting or Magnificent:. Depends on how many other caves you have visited.
Surprising in its Zen like qualities. Cathedral tour well worth it.
Beautiful place, my 3 boys loved walking through the caves, this is a must see !!!!
Rocked up late for a tour. Staff there back briefed us and we joined the tour for completion. Didn t plan to stop there just dropped in on the way up the coast. Glad we did, the place is pretty amazing
Had a tour today, and it was really amazing!! The tour guide has so much knowledge and is able to share it in a fun, good way! Really recommend it!
Definitely worth dropping in for a tour and an overnight stay. As these caves are privately run (not National Park), there are more adventurous access options. The history of the caves is really interesting too, and our guide was exceptional (part of the Savannah Guides group who also are at Undara Caves - very impressive guides there too). Was intending to camp (nice but slightly sloping grounds) but ended up staying in a cabin which was exceptionally clean, well appointed for a cabin, plus there were cereals and snacks included in the accommodation price (instead of crazy mini bar prices!). Highly recommended!
Family Adventure with dedicated guide. Very helpful team and great guide!
GOOD place to visit and see you can have a great time and rest
We arrived at 11 and got to see the day of sunlight coming through the caves, who knew something so simple could be so amazing! The range of items the girls had to reflect the light with was great. We especially enjoyed the chapel where we got to listen to music and had a mini light show. Would definitely recommend stopping for a visit
Really nice day there still rustic and not over commercialized like a lot of places which is a good thing
Easy access, beautiful scenery, knowledgeable staff, great tour
Great experience, kids enjoyed, guides were great. Well worth the stop.
Scenic destinations that must come every year, take the children on the green and breathable.
Excellent guide and friendly staff. Cathedral Cave is impressive and the whole tour which takes an hour is made very interesting by the guide's knowledge.
Great to see these caves. Very professional but personal guide. Highly recommend.
Very interesting place, great story behind the caves, the family and how they came to own them.
Great for families, kids including our teenagers were fascinated doing the tour and learning the history.
This Is one thing you must do if your visiting this part of QLD.
This place was amazing. Discovered by chance driving on highway. Our detour, turned into a magical adventure. This attraction even covers for the wheelchair, and mobility access. The guides are friendly and informative. To make your way to the cathedral cave, where the play music to give you a sensory experience was my favourite part. Loved it! 5 stars is not enough
Excellent have been wanting to visit every time I drive past for the last 34 years so glad I did this time. Well worth it
Friendly guides, good food. A great place to visit.
However phone reception is limited.
Our guide was so informative and knowledgeable. Really made the tour amazing. My daughter loved it and asked so many questions. Milly (I think)
Did the fossil tour and it was amazing! The lovely guide Christian explained everything in an informative way that I could understand. He obviously loves his job! The caves are amazing the history and the geology are spectacular!
We thoroughly enjoyed our adventure caving experience. It was 2 hours plus of hard work, pushing ourselves through some very tight tunnel formations but the climb to the summit was worth it. Our guides were extremely well informed about the caves, their history and passionate about the animals that call the caves home. Thanks for a wonderful caving adventure!
Brilliant experience! We loved the cathedral tour; our kind was very cheerful and knowledgeable. Our accommodation was perfect. Very spacious and well equipped. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. Such a beautiful place to visit. We definitely plan to return and do the more intensive tours.
Lovely big caves. Would have loved to do am adventure tour but didn't have time. The solstice lights was really amazing!
Interesting place worth the detour from the Bruce Highway
Worth a visit if you are around. Great guide presenting the origin and each individual cave. So refreshing also on a hot summer day
I arrived to the cave but I didn t actually went inside. To get inside the cave you need to do a tour that s run every hour at the cost of 35$ and it last 1 hours. My friend and I didn t get in because we didn t have time but the place looks amazing! You can also sleep or camp there!
Really cool caves ! Amazing tour with a surprise at the end
Our toddler freaked out on entry and we returned to the cafe and received a complimentary lunch & tea and did a bush walk instead. Awesome staff, hubby loved the tour and got some great pics.
We did the Explorer tour and it was a hoot! The guide was excellent and knowledgeable. You need to book early and then enjoy the ride. Great for the kids too if they like climbing and crawling around.
Very interesting caves. The cathedral and the zig zag at the end was awesome. Recommend a visit.
This is actually a mind blowing experience. Cannot recommend highly enough. Great guided tour, very knowledgeable staff.
Stunning caves. Offers more than guided tours. Abseilling, rock climbing, even weddings. What a special place to get married.
Really fun - my boyfriend and I did the adventure caving experience and it was so memorable, had so much fun! Not for everyone though, there were narrow passages but the guides were so helpful, informative and encouraging.
Tour guide made it a fun cave experience. Went about 4 weeks ago. Enjoyed the story, information and magic of the caves. Well recommended.
This place is amazing! The guides are passionate about this geological gem and the history behind it. Well worth a visit!
Service was very professional. Caves exceded expectations.
Loved it just wish we knew their busy times so we could avoid a large group. Noon was not the right time.
Great informative experience with a vibrant knowledgeable guide.
Had resolved never to visit the cave system again. It took an hour and was very rewarding. Nice tour guide who also makes it fun.
Includes a surprise at the end.
Was a cool place to attend. They can even do weddings there
You can tell they take pride in the caves and surrounds by the way everything looks and is kept. I am mesmerized by the way the caves were created and how they are still here to this day, the Capricorn caves is a something the whole family can do and enjoy. I would recommend this activity to others.
Cathedral Tour is terrific & generous for the price. Visually fantastic & extremely interesting. Found a fossil!
Very interesting experience enhanced by very interesting guide dialogue
Still as beautiful as I remember as a kid!! Absolute treasure in our back yard, somewhere everyone can enjoy, young or old.
Pre good, would be better if it was a self tour though.
Awesome caves, much more than I expected. Our lovely guide, Judy, was helpful, patient and knowledgeable. We only took the "Cathedral Tour", takes about an hour and was well worth the trip out.
Great experience. A lot bigger cave system than you think. Great guides.
Awesome tour. Guides and staff very friendly and helpful
Quite an experience walking through a network of limestone caves. Experienced total darkness in cathedral cave while listening to recorded acapella rendition of Hallelujah. Beautiful acoustics.
Also experienced a relatively tight walk through a zig zagging cave and onto a suspension bridge. Suitable for all levels of fitness although zig zag cave might be daunting for those with a very large build. Our guide Peter gave a very informative and humorous history of the caves as well.
Friendly happy staff. Stayed with van Clean ammenities great hot water. Firepits. Took tour next day with katie well done. kids under 5 free. Will be back for an adventure tour when grandkids a bit older.
Loved this! We did the Explorer tour, which was so much fun! We saw heaps of bats, the tour guide was hilarious and informative.we were presented with a few challenges to take on if we chose to, which added to the fun of it! The caves were stunning! Highly recommend!
Entry price felt a bit expensive but the caves were cool. I did the fossil tour which was interesting and informative
We did the Cathedral Tour, it was fabulous. Our Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Had a good time. Definitely a good outing and recommend it.
Amazing place, staff were great, very knowledgeable and friendly
Ensure that you book a tour with minimum two or three days before exploring. No self Walks guided tours at Capricorn Csves
Had an amazing tour of the cathedral caves. Jay, our guide was extremely articulate and funny. Such a great experience for the whole family! Highly recommend it, we planing to come back for an adventure tour and maybe even a wedding!. Also a big thanks to Angie for all your awesome wedding insights
We did the geotour, our guide Christian was sooo amazing. There is no words to describe how awesome he was. So enthusiastic and aware of everything around us. He was so knowledgeable and just all around amazing! He made the tour great! The caves were amazingly gorgeous! If you go do the geotour totally worth the little but extra!!
Beautiful caves and cute staff. The young girl guiding us did a very good job.
Great fun combined with a little bit of adventure. Prepare to get a little must in the explorer tour. Worth it in the end. Spectacular caves!
A most wonderful experience exploring these caves tucked away just 15 mins north of Rockhampton. The main highlight is the 'Cathedral' inside where weddings have been conducted. Go check it out if you are in Rockhampton or driving through the Beef Capital of Australia
Brilliant hide-away with lots of wildlife, caves are amazingly beautiful but the cabins were let down by the really old air con (and it was far too hot to get any sleep) which doesn't quite fit the higher price bracket . Tip: Do it, just not in the hotter days of the year.
