Attended a conference here.
Ambience and upkeep of the venue is great, however the buffet teabreaks & lunches were underwhelming - perhaps a result of cost control by organizers and not entirely the hotel's fault.
Local fare were mostly authentic although they would not compare to those of the masters.
One guest did comment that a soup they had was not to her taste and could not finish the bowl - was some fusion thing.
Getting a cab out - was post-lunch and with surge came to 1.5 times the cost of a usual ride.

It's my honour to spend my birthday staycation in one of Singapore's most prestigious hotels located in off-shore island Sentosa. The once army barracks hotel is staffed with attentive servers to attend to your staycation needs.

There is a hotel guide to brief you the heritage and genesis of the hotel.

The Knolls is where buffet breakfast is served. There is a variety of items you have to order first before going for endless rounds. However, the menu never changes which is a regret.

In The Living Room there is small canvas painting activity for those who wants something different during their tea time instead of reading books. Drinks and cakes are complimentary for hotel guests.

The spa is pleasant but small with mostly changing rooms with only two toilets. The onsen, steam bath etc are small and due to CoVid, only 2 persons are allowed per facility.

The Bob's Bar also has nice finger foods. I recommend you try the chicken/pork satay and fish fingers. We ordered a pull beef pizza as well.

There are 3 swimming pools of various sizes of which 2 are infinity pools. We went for a dip to have a feel of it.

Overall, it's a nice hotel for those who wants a historic feel.

Clean room, very nice. High technology. But should have a tv channel list. Staffs very friendly, able to remember the guest name. And provided wine and cake and balloons for birthday celebration. *Thumbs up*

I have been at Capella with my company, held an event in the past and going back very soon. I found the conference centre and the hotel/rooms in general with very high level standards. And the thing that makes this such a good place to stay and to work with are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice.
I have been working closely with Celina and Joanne, and Shue, all of them highly recommended for their effort in answering all my enquiries.

Modern design, huge area space. Everything provided is top notch. The view of the sea from the room is surreal. Not to mention, Capella buffet breakfast is amazing. Good customer service as well. Thumbs up!

Stayed in the 1 room villa with the private Palawan Beach access. The hotel as a whole is nice but some aspects of service are hit and miss. It is nothing major - pool lights weren't working and we weren't informed of it; clearing the room service plates without even wiping the table or food and water spilled on the table, but this is something you wouldn't expect of a hotel of this standard or for the price you pay for a room especially the villas. Definitely room for improvement on some fronts of the service but other than that, was pleased with the stay and the early check in and late check out granted to us.

If you ever wonder how a perfect meal is, this is it. The location is beautiful, the food exquisit, our host was most gracious and the servers were amazing. I will never forget this experience.

The Capella on Sentosa Island is beautiful with it...

The Capella on Sentosa Island is beautiful with its colonial architecture and green surroundings. The pools are nicely set up, so they don t just look stunning on pictures, but actually really help you to relax.

My partner, dog and I stayed at one of the garden villas. The villa was beautifully made, had a great layout and a much bigger plunge pool than anticipated. I really enjoyed staying there and felt that the furnishing was of good quality. However, the usability of electronics and especially lights was difficult and needed trial & error. The entertainment equipment is of great quality, but not up to standard anymore. Also, the cleanliness was not up to scratch. From cobwebs and watermarks on tables to stained carpets and old encrusted milk stains next to the bed. Towels & bed sheets were clean though.

The outdoor area of the villa is spacious, but not fully enclosed, which may be an issue for some dog owners. We were OK though.

I am confused when it comes to the service. I emailed guest relations weeks in advance that I am vegan and that I am staying for my birthday. Both information were acknowledged, however the cake I received was not vegan. My partner double checked with the hotel, but the service stuck to the non-vegan cake. We wanted to dine at the hotel s restaurant Knolls the first night, but amended plans when we realised that the hotel was not prepared to cater for vegan guests. Only at breakfast the next day, was I given a choice of vegan foods, which were all delicious.

Two ladies of the Knolls restaurant at breakfast service (maybe managers?!) were super lovely and really took good care of me and my wishes. One of which even organised a birthday fruit platter and souvenirs from the hotel on day 3 of our stay to make up for the cake. She shared that she is in the process of becoming vegan herself.

I believe that the Culturist (who acknowledged my vegan lifestyle) does not know how to handle vegans, but the Knolls restaurant does.

All in all did we enjoy staying at Capella. There s plenty of room for them to improve, especially since the backbone is near perfect. Upgrade the entertainment systems, have a look at usability in the villas, train service staff on dietary needs and double check on cleaning service.

It s to be said that I stayed on a promotional rate and therefor may feel more forgiving than would I have paid more.

Easy to miss the turn into the hotel, minimalist signboard difficult to spot. Nice carpark and hotel amenities. Went there for wedding lunch, ballroom was rather hot due to the blazing sun. Food portions quite small

"Lush greenery, fabulous ambience & awesome staffs working tirelessly on the ground."

That's what comes to my mind when I think of Capella Hotel. In fact, our last stay in 2018 at one of their villas was relatively pleasant albeit some discontentment with the quality of food (In room Dining) & check out timing which the management was fully aware. Upon checking out, the management wrote an email, stating that the above incidents will be look into & reassured us that we will have an EXCEPTIONAL experience with them if we ever go back.

Fast forward to 2020, we decided to stay at one of their villas AGAIN, for my wife's birthday celebration come 14th Aug 2020.

How wrong I was....

2 weeks prior, I explicitly mentioned to the Reservation Team that we would prefer our breakfast to be send to our room at 10 a.m on 15th Aug 2020. (That s becos Knolls isn t dog friendly). They acceded to our request and promised that it had been arranged for. SIMPLE ENOUGH isn't it?

However, on 15th Aug @ 1041 a.m, we made a call to the hotel operator when our breakfast still hasn t arrived. To my surprise, we were told that no such arrangement was made.

To make matters worse, we were treated condescendingly by both the operator and in duty manager. The vibe which they gave off was: "Oh, if you were our top tier patrons we would have keyed in this piece of info into our system!!"

Well, our breakfast eventually arrived.......@1148 a.m.......JUST IN TIME FOR OUR LUNCH....

During times like these, where ALMOST ALL hospitality industries are working so hard to win back the hearts of paying customers, CAPELLA HOTEL seemed to have fallen way short of the accepted standards which ANY paying customers are entitled to. Not to mention, a returning customer whom was promised an "EXCEPTIONAL" experience..

Well, I guess....

As the saying goes: "A leopard TRULY can't change its spots."

Wow! It was an amazing experience. The peacocks were beautiful and the ambience was so good for relaxing. The pool staff were so friendly. The room was so spacious and clean !!! To add on, my friends and I love the cookies from housekeeping. We requested for more and they sent us even more. Thank you to the guy from housekeeping who gave us more of those cookies!

I had a wonderful weekend staycation at the Capella.

Service is of the highest of standards here - the staff take great care to ensure that your stay is nothing short of perfect; they were very kind to gift a bouquet, wine and a cake for my anniversary, it's also nice that they all take the effort to remember my name, if even for just a day.

Keen attention to detail is apparent in the room's layout and furnishing, it's also very spacious. I recommend the premium sea view rooms because the wide glass windows are a nice touch.

Also the spa facilities at Auriga spa are great and free to use if you're a hotel guest. Breakfast at the knolls was also nice and worth the money.

In short this is one of the (if not the) best hotels in Singapore and in my opinion worth every penny. Kudos to the staff for the fantastic service!

The hotel has been reputable for its product and service standards, unfortunately it is showing some signs of wear and tear as it hasn't gone through an extensive refurbishment. Nonetheless still the best hotel on sentosa island.

The hotel is spaced out over lush greenery with plenty of space everywhere. The villas were very private, and spacious. The staff were all very attentive and courteous throughout our stay.

PS: we had our dog with us for the stay. And he was also taken care of and very welcomed by both staff and guests

One of the best resorts in Singapore. Not cheap, but it is worth your money. The rooms are just fantastic. The same standard you get at Ayana Resort in Bali.

The resort is in Sentosa Island. Closest beach is the Palawan Beach.

Worth a try if you are in Singapore.

Our family was celebrating a special birthday and ...

Our family was celebrating a special birthday and picked Cassia for its excellent Chinese fusion food and nice ambience in Sentosa.
First off, there's a dress code because it's fine dining. However, most diners were in casual clothes. Then came the person who made the dining experience really weird.
The minute we sat down, the waitress brought the XO sauce in the little saucers and told my husband it's available for purchase. We had not even ordered yet so he didn't respond.
We then chose Chef Lee's Signature set. She asked if we wanted to pair with tea or wine. My tummy wasn't well and tea at night gives me insomnia so I opted out of both. The waitress recommended chrysanthemum. My husband asked if it was refillable and this was where her tone started to change.
Funny thing was we spoke English to her from the start but she always replied in Mandarin. We thought she couldn't speak English till a Caucasian couple to our right came and she spoke good English with them.
She served the courses with lightning speed. At one course, I was still eating when she brought the soup and stood next to me. I tried to finish quickly but she put the soup down and left. Won't the soup cool down?
My husband asked her for a refill of the XO sauce. She walked off and didn't come back. Earlier, when we were taking a family pix, she offered to take for us. We sat together and waited but she walked immediately to the next table and tended to a new diner. We waited but she never returned.
Then other wait stuff took over. It was a relief. We had the XO refill and we ate slowly.
At the end, she brought the bill and the coup de grace comment, "Wah, you can finish everything! We were speechless. Besides being there for the excellent food, the meal was $170 each. It was a celebration so we are willing to pay this amount. Why can't we finish the food????
Throughout the whole evening, we had the feeling of being put down. Is it because we were the only non-hotel guests and dressed for a celebration?
It was a sad experience in a beautiful place. The waitress said a birthday wish and also a Happy Vesak day, but I don't celebrate that. So it just added to the bad vibe although we tried our best to enjoy the time there. Our family has decided we won't ever go Cassia again. We had a good first experience but this second one will be remembered for a long time.

An exceptionally beautiful stay with five star facilities, Capella @SG is an incredible example of hospitality. My husband and I planned a staycation at this gorgeous property to celebrate a babymoon and it was definitely the best decision we could have made!!! Not only the staff went out of their way to make our stay quite celebratory ,they even accommodated my request for specific meals to satisfy my midnight hunger pangs every night! I must admit they have very high standards in services which exceed all expectations. A special mention to our culturist Noorul, (I'm hoping I get the name right- petite one with hair bunned neatly) was super helpful in answering all our questions and scheduling us for all the activities we wanted. The bartender at Bob's Bar ,Darren was such a rockstar!!! And Ms. Cassandra who holds the Meditation class on Saturday- her healing voice was perfect way to bookend our stay during the final hours.

I saw many review videos on IG and stayed for 2 nights in a vila last month with my family. We didn't receive any complimentary wine or platter and we were told that all the activities had been fully booked - total different experience than those on IG.

2 stars for a 5-star hotel as they treat guests differently.

Festive Christmas lunch at the Chef's Table, a small intimate space overlooking the pool and across from Bob's Bar. We organised a treat here for a friend, and the three of us were treated to a four-course gourmet high tea experience. We began by choosing the tea, which was not a menu, but actual bottles of tea brought to you to smell and look at. Once chosen, the savoury snacks which include a turkey sandwich, fois gras tarte and salmon and cream tart were brought out to start. This was followed by freshly toasted pannetone with cream and jam, before the delectable pastries and sweets were served. Finished with lovely Stollen. Abuzz with sugar, we retired to the bar opposite to polish of a bottle of wine between us to top off a delightful afternoon/evening. The price of 48SGD ++ wasn;t exorbitant for the experience. The setting immaculate, and the service professional and unintrusive.

Friendly staff. We had dinner at Knolls restaurant- chef happily accommodated to my vegan requirements, and was extremely funny about it.

Describe one of the dishes "some cooked veggies" but those were the best "some cooked" veggies I had in my entire life!
