The hotel itself was above average when we stayed there before. However, we sent an email recently inquiring about booking a villa later in the year and did not get a single reply. That's pretty awful for a 5-star hotel.

One would think that they would actually want some business in this difficult time. Didn't want to waste much energy chasing them down, so we ended up booking another place in Singapore (that actually answered our emails).

On the other hand, props to whoever is in charge of their Facebook messages because they actually speedy & helpful!

Stayed in villa #11. Room is amazing. Everything else awful. last guests room service tray was outside my villa when we arrived and was still there hours later despite having our own room service collected. I had to call and ask them to move it eventually. Room service food arrived cold and order wrong twice. Ordered a Mercedes car service to take us to airport, they forgot to order. We were late and luckily someone arrived in a taxi so we took it. They don't have a clue how to run a 5 star hotel. I stay in hotels 1/2 my life with my job as a dj. Won't be staying again.

A nice quiet place to come too for a getaway. Again being on Sentosa be aware of its location if you do plan on moving around Singapore as it can be a hassle to get in and out of this property.

I personally think it is very good. Service, amenities, etc. are all good.
If you want Japanese food, you need to book a different restaurant as the restaurant is Chinese and International cuisine.

Nothing short of amazing, best staycation ever. From the moment we arrived we felt that we are treated in the most special way. The staff go over and beyond to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your stay.

Everything about the capella was perfect from the pools, the room, the spa and the food and the restaurants. We enjoyed every minute of it.

We recommend staying here for anyone feeling they need a break from the busy city. Even though we came only for one night we really had the time to relax and rewind.

I would like to mention especially Johnny from the pool staff and Layla from the customer relations that made our stay perfect.

We will definitely come again!!!

This is the hotel where the Trump-Kim talk was held. I came to eat lunch at Cassia with wild horse naked sex. I thought it was a big hotel because it was a place where historical meetings were held, but I was surprised to find it smaller than I thought. There were other people who came to take pictures. There was no complaint about food and service.

This honeymoon experience was beyond amazing. From the minute we stepped foot into this heaven like hotel, we were greeted with the friendliest staff however one staffer stood out beyond the word great. Her name is Camille. She was our assistant and we highly recommend to get her assistantce at your stay. Thank you Capella and Camille.

My boyfriend booked 2 nights at the capella resort...

My boyfriend booked 2 nights at the capella resort for my birthday. The hotel is gorgeous, especially the pools and the quiet setting immersed in greenery. There's plenty of activities for in-house guests to do. So we did not step out for a single minute.
We stayed at a regular room the first night and then moved to a garden villa. Both rooms were really spacious. I especially enjoyed the view on the regular room on the top floor and the privacy in the villa with outdoor shower, plunge pool and bathtub was amazing.
However, we were quite disappointed by the service, especially given the reputation of this property. But first I also do want to give credit to the pool staff and f&b (we tried all the restaurants including the in room dining) really attentive and warm. The disappointment was more about the reception and reservation team. They often forget things or even not arrange what my boyfriend has previously communicated with them prior our check in. Several chaser calls has to be made before our request would be fulfilled. My bouquet of flowers was lost and had to wait upon leaving the property to trace it back. When during check out this was highlighted. Our grab almost cancelled on us if we didn't added surcharge.
Also during check out the receptionist didn't care much how we enjoyed our stay at all.
For the price they charge I really think service can be greatly improved. Especially thinking they had all the lockdown time to improve staff trainings.
Food wise I really enjoyed the pool menu as well as the dinner at Knolls, the cod and boef bourguignon were delicious, selection of wines also really curated. The disappointment was on the breakfast, very limited choices and not so fresh. My dim sum were super dry and tasted as the ones from the supermarket. Noodles were also quite average. At least I liked the fact that it was a la carte in small portions so there was not so much waste involved. If you spend your special occasion there they also don't really care much there was a sad 3 balloons in my room no welcome card and a really tasteless cheesecake as birthday wish. Again it's fine if you charge 300/400 SGD per night but when you charge 800/1300 SGD my expectations also will be equally expensive.
All in all capella is definitely a great staycation experience if you look for a total privacy and quietness but definitely the service is not there yet.

We visited Capella Singapore for a two-night staycation in their Premium Seaview Room in Feb 2020. It was a quiet and relaxing stay and we really enjoyed ourselves.

The room was clean, spacious and tastefully designed and decorated. Note that you will not be getting a full unblocked sea view from the room but rather a partial forest/sea view. This was our second stay at the Capella and we were slighly disappointed to find that the view was not as nice as what we had during our first stay.

Housekeeping was prompt and professsional, with the usual daily housekeeping and evening turndown service. We were also pleasantly surprised to find the room decorated with rose petals and a bubble bath drawn when we returned from dinner on the first evening.

Food options on the resort grounds were pretty good too. Breakfast at the Knolls was great with both a buffet spread and ala carte options (ala carte dishes fared better than the buffet). The only area that required improvement was that the staff could have been more proactive in keeping the birds away from the al fresco area, especially when there were dishes left unattended on the tables (our food was attacked when we stepped away briefly).

We also had dinner the highly-rated Cassia, a Chinese restaurant. The price point is similar to other Chinese restaurants in 5-star hotels in Singapore, but the ambience felt more exclusive and the service more attentive. The food did not disappoint as well.

The property does not sit on a private beach but has a back gate that leads down to a part of the beach that is quiet and clean. Having said that, we hardly left the resort and just kept ourselves entertained with the facilities (pools and gym) and some resort activities like the rum appreciation workshop. We also spent the afternoons enjoying the complimentary tea time snacks and beverages served at the Living Room, which has a nice selection of books and lifestyle magazines.

On the last day, we treated ourselves to a spa treatment at Auriga. Highly recommended to book ahead if you would like to visit, as there are not many spa suites and it seems to be popular with both the hotel guests and non-staying guests.

Definitely highly recommended. For locals looking for a staycation amidst the current travel restrictions, this is probably the best option that you can find away from the city. It is pricier than most other options but quite worth the experience.

A beautiful place for a wedding. I attended my friend's wedding 2 weeks back and the food was delicious and well cooked, same for canapes served before the dinner. The ballroom interior was nicely decorated.

I would've given it 4 stars because of the slow service, however, they did realize my frustration and apologized and made it up with their service and constant care. Feels like a princess here.

The hotel is situated at santosa, an island at offshore Singapore. It is the famous hotel where US president met north Korea premier for the first time in history. The scenery is beautiful. The staff carried themselves professionally and always offer their help to the guests. The food at the restaurant is good but relative small in portion. The event venue is spacious. We had a successful event.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in. Loved every bit of it from their colonial architecture to their lovely plush large villas with plunge pools, their three swimming pools, their library, their gardens spotted with peacocks, their hospitable staff. Lovely stay.

As Rasa shangrila is fully booked and we stayed in W Sentosa cove a few years ago. We decided to give a try for Canpella for a birthday celebration. We plan to take the hotel shuttle bus to canpella however after we came out from vivocity, we couldn t find the shuttle service at all though we are waiting at the right place (we have called the hotel, checked the hotel website info)...no poster/signages which we can see other hotels like W, Rasa, Fareast V, RWS have such an information. We met a couple also waiting at here for the same shuttle service to canpella. After a while, we saw the shuttle just passed and never stop...then 4 of us decided to walk to the hotel (not easy to get a taxi at the place), we lost our way and stuck at RWS basement carpark. Luckily, there was a taxi after a long waiting. When we reached and check-in, served by the division room manager, Ms Joan Yao. We talked to her about such incident, she interrupted us and replied..1. there are two shuttle buses one is for guest, another one is for staff (so she expected the 1st timer to recognise which one is for the hotel guest, I can t get her point ) 2. She told us the hotel will pay the taxi fare( which they did) in a cold and arrogant tone also mentioned she will feedback to the marcom team, lastly is her unprofessional way of apologised (should she just apologise to all of us first rather than finding excuses), but when we want to talk about it further, she was very inpatient and asked us to wait as she is busy with sth (keep typing the keypad...facing the laptop) and will come back to us...which is never. Lastly, a more friendly male staff came to us and offering a $100 dine voucher...I feel a bit offended how they handle us, not even a proper way of saying sorry or at least show some empathy. The hotel itself is okay, besides Ms Joan Yao , another lady when we dial the hotline for a wine opener, I called her twice as i couldnt find a it in the first place, when I called her 2nd time she is quite impatient. The rest of the staffs are friendly and nice. If you are going for a staycation at Sentosa, think twice. I have visited W & Rasa a few times...all is good.

Probably one of the best experience we had in a Singapore Hotel. While waiting for our lunch at Cassia, we sat at Bob 's bar even though they were not open yet. Not only did they give us some snacks and water. They brought my kids to the kitchen to experience how the chefs make cookies and food. The dim sum at cassia and the afternoon drinks (the rum was special) at Bob bar were excellent.

Special thanks to Chef David and his crew for doing such a good job with the experience for us. Definately a place to relax and chill. Overall a fantastic experience.
