This is my favorite place. I love the gardens and museum. My kids love climbing on the tanks. They offer movie nights and kid crafting days more often now, which we love! Seriously, one of my favorite places in Illinois.

Tank Park is such a good time with the kids. I love that they are able to climb all over the tanks.
Amazing little walks all over the grounds. Whether it s gardens, massive trees, or grassy fields...there is a ton of beautiful nature to take in.
There is a cafe next to the visitor center that has decent coffee. They also serve smoothies and a bunch of drinks for kids.
The park is handicap accessible. I have only seen one other park like it. I love that they designed the park with these kids in mind.
Splash pad is closed permanently....sad day.

Amazingly well manicured grounds. This place is fantastic at making history come alive for children because they appear completely okay with you climbing on tanks to take pictures. Actually being able to inspect these up close, or even dangle from a large barrel should bring awe to anyone, and makes for some unique photo opportunities.
I just learned that they hold concerts here, so I will be sure not to wait another twenty years before my next visit.

Tanks. Flowers. History. Need I say more?

Tanks. Flowers. History. Need I say more?

It's a fantastic park with a lot of fun things to do, and climbing the tanks is a fun activity for both children and adults. Lots of really interesting and well taken care of flowers as well as interesting history about the military. A really good place for both dates and solo walks, I would not hesitate to go alone if I had an evening to myself.

I feel like it would be beautiful and the summer but even in the winter it's still nice to look around. There's tons to do here with the Museum and just generally walking around. The tanks are cool and you can climb on them which is surprising to me but it was fun. All in all it's cheap to get in and it's definitely worth the walk around if you have time.

One of my favorite places to go spring, summer, in fall. They have a bang-up car show in September one of the largest in the area. Also a beautiful garden setting to get ideas from or just enjoy.

Great place for the whole family and engaging for all ages. Kids can play on tanks, adults can sit in the shade at various peculiarly designed benches in the shade. All should go to the 1st Infantry Museum onsite- awesome recreations and a great tribute to our country's military!

One of the most beautiful and lovely public parks in the state. Everything is well thought out and very articulate. For $5 a car, it is really worth it to come here with a family or date, the flowers and general walking scenery makes it feel like you're in a theme park for fauna.

My kids live to climb on the tanks. Their museum us really well done. You walk through trenches in WWI and then hit the beach on D-day in a landing craft in WWII. We came away with very powerful insights into these events.

My Armor Officer husband has been wanting to visit for a while so a quick day trip happened. I m not a big military history buff but I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We started by walking the property and viewing the variety of tanks on display. My husband was like a little boy identifying the ones he s been in or has seen. It was a beautiful day so it was a lovely walk. It s not a huge area so it was a manageable walk for any age level. Little kids were climbing all over the tanks. The museum inside the building is impressive. You begin the tour with a video. When it ends you enter the museum as if you were coming off a landing craft. The door opens and you pour out into the museum. Very cool. The displays are very well done and include so much historical info. We walked it slowly so we could read it all. One of my favorite part was the virtual reality simulation of a raid in Iraq.

We really enjoyed our first time at the park today. There is a $10 fee for entrance to the park. The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty of parking. It was nice to see lots of families having BBQ's and celebrating birthdays there. We even saw a young girl having professional photos taken on the grounds. It would definitely be a nice place for a wedding! The gardens are really amazing if you take it slow and really examine all the plants. The little chilies were amazing as well as the large tropical plants! The weather was just a bit on the cooler side, so we didn't use the splash pad today. There were tanks set all over the right side of the park which was very cool to see and read about. The kids loved climbing all over them. We will definitely have to come back in the Fall and view the colorful flora and fauna

What a great place to bring your family or visit with your significant other.

Very well maintained with a fantastic assortment of flowers, trees, decorative fountains (larger and small) with plenty of comfortable benchs to sit on!

They take the time to add small decorative themes during the year (example: during the fall put up corn stalks with pumpkins all around)

They also have a very nice visitor center with a small restaurant!

We went through the tank.park and military museum. The museum is VERY well put together and VERY interesting. The tanks are outside and you can climb on them. I also watched them play old time baseball which was a lot of fun. I wish I had had more time to see the rest of the park but next time I am in town I plan on visiting again to see the rest. Good job y'all.

We were attending an adult Easter Egg Hunt that was poorly organized and executed. Cantigny has a gorgeous campus but the event took place in a parking lot. There was a totally unenforced cap of twenty eggs which left most of the attendees empty handed and with scraped knees due to how aggressive some of the participants. This experience was so bad that I may never return to the park again

Cantigny is the most wonderful place. It can be romantic in the gardens w just the two of you or a great place to bring the kids. The War Museum is intriguing and interesting, a learning experience in a peaceful setting . The gardens are quite large with beauty at every turn. Don't miss a tour of the McCormick Mansion. It's filled w the McCormick's things. Their imported Chinese wallpaper is still on the dining room walls; General McCormick's own books are still on his library shelves. The grounds include a gift shop, restaurant and small coffee shop. Just $5/car to get in.

Had not been back in years and am delighted to report the changes in the grounds and museums are part of a wonderful process begun years ago with vision and purpose. The docents are very helpful and knowledgeable of their subject(s), and there is a marvelous restaurant with facilities for weddings, meetings, etc. I love Cantigny always!

This is a beautiful place! There is something for everyone: tanks to climb on, museums to walk through, golf, picnic areas, and intricate gardens to enjoy. It is free to enjoy, but $5 to park a normal car/truck. A great place for a wedding.
