This park is one of the best in the area and you can visit for a small parking fee. There is no other admission fee. This is military themed and has a large museum on the South end. The gardens are outstanding and there are several walking paths. This is great for the entire family.

I have been to Cantigny since I was little. It has always held many family memories. The First Division Museum which is comprehensive and interactive to the Tank park, to the Robert R McCormick mansion to the beautiful garden and plants that surround it. Definitely a must visit and a good place for a picnic or casual stroll

Today I went with my family to Cantigny Park.
It's the first time I've ever been and heard about it through the Naperville Animal Shelter.
I originally thought we were going to go see the Christmas trees in the mansion. But I was thrilled to also get to tour the tanks, go into the museum, and go to the visitor center, all before the mansion.
What a wonderful place to learn about our wars.

The tours of the Mansion are either 1/2 hour, which keeps you on the main floor, or a hour long and also takes you upstairs. We did the 1/2 hour today, but I'll be back to do the hour tour.
We were in the park for 3 hours and there was so much more I could of seen and learned.

I highly recommend going here to anyone visiting the area. The park is $5.00 for parking, but everything else is free. Totally worth spending time here anytime of the year.

This venue has everything outdoors and historical one would want. We did our family pictures here and its beauty shined through our shots. We love the grounds that include sprawling acres of beautifully landscaped flowers and plants. We enjoyed recently renovated museum that offers insight to our past and present. They always have something going on worth seeing or doing. The also have an honor club for veterans.

Love this park! This place has a botanical garden, world war II tanks and museum, a Victorian mansion which is also open for tours, huge picnic ground, concert venue and a gold course. Another thing that's great about it is that admission is free but you have to pay $10 for parking. Not bad considering some botanical gardens charge about $20 per person. I would recommend to come here on a weekday because this place can be full of wedding entourage doing photo shoots on weekends making it hard to enjoy the gardens.

Acres and acres of beautiful green lawns, lovely flower beds of all sorts of flowers and magnificent old trees, very interesting war museum, Colonel Robert McCormick's mansion home, and a bunch of old tanks for kids to climb all over.

And, I think, an herb garden somewhere.

Wonderful and peaceful place of honor. Ample disabled parking, wide walk ways and frequent areas to sit if you have problems. The guides are friendly and will happily help disabled veterans and seniors. Great gardens abound. Well worth the visit to see tanks, cannons and the museum.

$5 parking gets you access to the tank park, gardens, and usually the museum. The museum is only available with tickets while COVID impacts are ongoing. Cantigny is an absolutely beautiful place and a lot of fun

A pleasant surprise!

A pleasant surprise!

Such a great and massive place where we saw a war re-enactment (with actors firing shots, cannons etc. playing out a full ground war scene with formations). This was free of cost, only cost being that to get a parking ($10).

Equally amazing was the detailed war musuems where we got to see the history of 1st division, world war history, VR experiences for a combat mission in a Black Hawk, actual items used in those wars etc. All at no cost!

Overall, this a great park with huge open spaces, tanks from WWI era kept throughout for show, a small and clean water stream inside, and lush green grass to sit and enjoy time with your family. Also a must go place if you love seeing historical war related musuems.

This is one of my favorite places I ve ever been to in illinois. There is just so much to do here that I know if I try to list it all I ll forget something. There s tanks for the kids to climb and a military museum to keep older kids amused. The main house tour is just so fun, even my 5 year old enjoyed it. The gardens are just beautiful and the kids loved the splash pad and HUGE play gym. Even though I described so many things, one word comes to mind when I think of Cantigny. That is that it has this wonderful romantic feel about it. It would be a great place for date night! I just love Cantigny.

Sprawling estate with lots to do: You can tour the mansion, explore the First Division museum and have the kids climb the tanks outside, or just wander through the 500 acres of gardens. Plus there are countless family activities throughout the year.

The First Division Museum was great, but the park and gardens are amazing also. The museum is more for older school age kids, obviously has some graphic content with war pictures. Playground for kids was nice and the gardens have a splash fountain/pad to cool off in summer. Only $5 per car to get in, so a great way to spend the day for not a lot of money. There's a place to eat there, but it is a good place to pack a picnic too.

Absolutely beautiful gardens. Also has a remarkable war museum with tanks for the kids to climb on outside. I would have given 5 stars but they are currently 2 years into a 5 year building project so the full 5 stars is absolutely on its way!

Been here twice and it is always a good experience! I love history and to see the weapons of war. The new renovation greatly improves the experience and makes it worthwhile to come again!

It was so beautiful! My friend and I went here today ... Wonderful place to learn more about the US and to take a lot of colorful photos. We love walking through the gardens and enjoyed the guided tour at the House Museum. Very interesting! :)

Wow! For 5$ parking you can see so much.

Wow! For 5$ parking you can see so much.
We went with the kids there, and there's so much to do: learn history, hiking, picnic, playground, so many flowers.. And a delicious caffe.
Even in Sunday's there's a live music.
You can spend a few hours easily.
