It is very clean and it is a very interesting place
Brings back memories from the time I lived in the neighborhood.
Beautiful Place, tons of color, well maintained. Big Red One Museum, tells the history of this old Army Division. Struck home with me especially, I served with the B Company 2/28 Inf 1st Div in Vietnam in 66.
Even though they're doing a lot of construction, there is a lot to see and do.
This place always puts me in a great mood. Plenty of space to walk around and enjoy natural beauty with tanks.
Beautiful, clean and well-maintained 500 acres of private property.
1st Division Museum is amazing! On the list for a return visit for sure.
Love the military museum, gardens, concerts in the Summer. Always fun.
Had a great time with my friends. We picnic, and had the entire area by the bandstand to ourselves. Stayed away from the crowds. Social distancing. Beautiful day and weather.
Have been going here since I was 10!! It is a beautiful piece of land!! Ppl friendly, wonderful rose garden and awesome thanks that the kids get to play on!!
Nice park to enjoy your gardens have a good time with your family
Beautiful, fantastic war museum, gardens, hiking, and group camping
A must to go and enjoy this beautiful park grounds, museums trails, etc.
Such a fun place to walk around and enjoy the gardens... the tours of the house and the museum are great if you have time too. It's smaller, but a great alternative to the Morton Arboretum when it's packed.
Fantastic day with my 12 year old grandson including a sit down lunch in the restaurant, if the sun had been shinning it would have been a little better!
Some areas closed due to Covid but still a nice walk. Love the tanks!!
Beautiful park. I use to go there with my parents and siblings when I was young. My 2 sisters and I took my parents there a month ago. It has changed but I still love it.
Very beautiful a well taken care of park. Will be definetly coming back, staff was also very very friendly
great garden/museum/concert place in chicago west suburb
Easter Egg hunt was fun overall but sad that so many people didn't play by the rules and others lost out because of it.
It's a very nice park but needs some more attention to detail and keeping up with cleaning around the park of dead flowers. Cost 10 dollars to see I was disappointed to see so many. Has alot of museums that are very nice. It's a good place to bring kids. Just needs some more attention to detail on cleanup and maintaining the flowers
Great place to learn some history about Robert McCormick and get a hands on experience with tanks of history and modern times. Beautiful grounds and gardens to visit at any time of the year.
Cantigny is a nice day out while also being able to appreciate history. There is plenty of walking around and tanks to visit. There is also the museum and the gardens to check out. I would recommend Bringing a picnic and enjoying that before walking through this beautiful place.
Fun place to walk around with the family and spend a quiet afternoon with a picnic basket.
Beautiful place with great museums. Admission was fairly cheap too!
The park is specifically beautiful in the summer and fall; the first Division museum is informative and well crafted; and best of all, access to all of this free, besides a $5 parking fee.
The war museum is excellent especially for paying only $5 for parking.
The First Division Museum is one of the finest in the world.
Place is always great to relax and camping for Scout troops war museum wedding venue beautiful grounds everything is top notch
Be aware: parking is $5 and $10 on Holidays. This place was spectacular!!!
Currently undergoing renovations to large portion of grounds. Military museum is a must see and you can spend several hours going thru. Nice updates to the gardens. Small cafe in visitors center with wraps and sandwiches. Restaurant was closed for a private event.
We love Cantigny. I love the changes that they are making with the grounds. The pergola by the pond was torn down but it was time for that structure to go. Not sure what is up with the orange and yellow French furniture. But it is interesting.
I had played the golf course but never had visited the park. What a wonderful surprise. The McCormick Mansion tour was very interesting. The military tanks and wartime exhibits were well done and informative. The gardens and park were lovely and there was a band concert. We spent over four hours there without even trying. We had a great day!!
Pretty park, very clean, free tours, and not overpriced.
This place is amazing, it's so beautiful and peaceful. There are two museums you can visit, the 1st Division museum (the best one I've ever been to!) And Robert McCormick museum (His mansion). They both were very informative and highly interesting. Lots of vintage relics and antiques to read about. There are 11 tanks spread out in front of the 1st Division museum. The scenery is amazing, so peaceful with great photography spots for any occasion. Also a rose garden with other beautiful plants, trails as well. Perfect place to slow down "and smell the roses".
As a long time tank fan, I am blown away by how many interesting-fun exhibits there are in the museum. I can tell that even little kids enjoy it too. This place is for everyone! It has a nice outside, a splendid museum, and a nice cafe. If you re a tank fan living in Illinois, you should really come here. You don t usually find an FT-17 or an actual M1 Abrams lying around in most museums. It gives you a sense of size of of how big these metal beasts are! Especially with you having the ability to climb an actual tank! I only been here one time but I sure am ready to go with my nephew!
Just a vet well guided one hour tour of a rather interesting forefathers home. Well worth the effort.
Great place to spend a few hours. Beutiful grounds.
A beautiful park to visit with family. Kids loved it here. There is no admission fees , they charge $10 for car parking. The first division musuem is a must visit. They have tanks outside the museum and kids had a good time exploring the tanks. Volunteers working there are awesome!!
beautiful place, beautiful views, if you are visiting Illinois this is a place to go visit and learn something from Chicago history!!
Can t wait till Covid restrictions are lifted, and the fountain construction is finished. My kids always enjoy our visits.
Wonderful place to visit, great for all age groups, so much to learn. The gardens are beautiful and so relaxing. Enjoy a lunch or snack at Berties Cafe, you will love it!!! Col. Robert McCormick created a wonderful tribute to our Veterans and their families, we are blessed to have this park in our backyard!
Great place to admire the gardens and a nice historical museum to honor veterans from ww1 and onwards. Also the tanks are pretty cool haha
Fantastic place! Beautiful grounds. Various special events offered. Beautiful mansion. Mansion decorated for Christmas...etc.
Love coming here. Especially around Easter for the Easter Egg hunt.
We visited, from Rockford, for the Lego train exhibit. Too many people in such a confined space. Had the masses moved in the same fluid direction, instead of like atoms bouncing off of each other, we would have enjoyed it much more.
Is a great place to come with family it will take you a day to see the entire park
Pretty flower gardens, interesting war museum, 3 restaurants, and real tanks outside that the kids love to climb on and pretend.
Excellent place to visit. Lots of history about Army Big Red One. Several restored tanks. Beautiful grounds and walking paths.
It's got flowers, museums, tanks, and a restaurant so there's not much more you need to burn a day. If you like any of those things, or World War II, or guns, or history, or festivals, or old people, then this is definitely a place to visit.
Recent renovations have made a great local attraction even better.
Great place to take wedding photos!! Photo by Agnes Rasek Photography.
One of the most beautiful places in DuPage county! Very beautiful gardens, landscaping and grounds, juxtaposed very well on the grounds with an indoor museum and outdoor area displaying very important memories, mementos, and military equipment used by our armed services.
Love it! Beautiful grounds, very interesting war museum. Great outdoor summer concerts.
Beatiful place. New gardens are terrific ! Always worth a visit.
Beautiful park for taking a walk, talking portraits, or seeing the military museum with the tanks that you (or your kids) can climb outside.
Beautiful grounds and gardens. Great military museum with very good displays.
This is a very interesting place.
Would revisit if we came back to Chicago in future.
Great for kids, plenty of carparking, beautiful gardens and interesting history.
There's a wonderful place to spend time with family. They have the awesome military museum, the collection of tanks, beautiful gardens and a rest area with nice playground. We had a great time here and want to come back again.
This place was very nice. We came as a parent student field trip. We learned a lot it was still very much cool outside so we were unable to enjoy the garden as they had not bloomed as well. We will be going back to see thongs that we missed.
Amazing war memorial. Beautiful gardens. And tanks!
Amazing atmosphere. The Victorian house is a must see. The museum was phenomenal. Loved the nature walk with all its splendor.
