Canterbury League Club Review

Had the roast of the day. As Manu from MKR would say...where is the sauce? Or in this case the gravy, very light on.

Sat in the center circular section of the bistro. Could someone turn down the lights a bit. Felt like a UFO was beaming down on me.

Bar service was very slow. People, can you please make up your mind what you want to drink before you get there. Some of us are keen to get on with it.

Got to try yum cha....currently reno to its parking area

Bakerhouse restaurant Not nice food limited Menu The club has completed the renovations but the strong lighting doesn't creating ambient atmosphere the seating close to the sports bar has too many lights the decor is new but the lighting is too strong. It used to be an nice patio for outdoor seating now its closed off. I ordered the calamari which came with salad and the calamari was too dry too much batter. the Zuccini fritter was not that nice either. These were from the Bakehouse menu. The menu has very limited choices, not impressed at all. Not going there again.

Great yum Cha and excessively fabulous decor. The fountains out the front and inside are ridiculously kitschy and I love it. They also have fake fire and fake plants everywhere. I wish I had gross amounts of money like that to make my plant mountain forest. Plenty of parking and a drop off area. Also a gym and more hidden fountains inside.

Fabulous new restaurant. A must to visit. Great food and friendly staff.

Always come here for family dinners. Their bistro has a wide variety of foods and the quality of foods is good. Has COVID safety measures in place. With good hygiene measures.

The Dynasty Restaurant has the best live tank salt and pepper lobster. In my opinion better than Golden Century Restaurant.

Flame Pizza and Grill we had the saganaki pawns, pork belly bites, scallops and calamari. Superb dishes. Must try saganaki prawns. Delicious. Staff must be commended on their service. Overall great experience.

Dinner was really filling at Chinese restaurant.plenty of car parking.close to train station. They had many other options.

The rumba baba? was tasteless and the so called rum tasted like sugar water!

Currently under renovation. Undercover parking, can get busy at times. Been here several times and haven't been disappointed yet with meals. The bistro has recently changed so the free tea and coffee station is gone, which is a shame, and the ready to serve food is also gone. Other than that the menu is great and food is tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were nice. Lovely indoor rainforest and water feature is gorgeous, makes it feel tranquil and luxurious. Will update review when visited more.

Went to dinner at Canterbury Leagues club . What a beautiful club . We used to live in Bridge Road many years ago so we have witnessed the transformation of the club over the years . Beautiful club . Excellent decor . Delicious food. What more could you ask for.

The club is nice. However the show seating was very uncomfortable. Too cramped! Seating arrangement is very weird. Making people can't talk. Literally we have to sit back to back...almost touching to each other. Very unrecommended to watch any show at this club. Feels like in a night market :(

Great place to be they have perfect customer service I ve never had a bad experience there always positive! The coffee and food there is beyond the best.

Staff are friendly, carpark is great, interior of the club is beautiful and newly renovated. Food at all restaurants and bars is always good. Yum Cha on the weekends is always busy with queues for a table

A friendly local club with good food and relaxing atmosphere. The Bistro offers a variety of delicious food at a reasonable price and generous amount. A good place for family and friends to meet up.

Since the renovation the environment is even more inviting.

Great improvement at Lavico restaurant, recently booked family dinner for our parents 70th anniversary. Excellent service friendly staff.
We went back in march 2019 for our parents 71st anniversary , standards are the same.
Enjoyed the seafood platter for two.
Adriana looked after us, she was excellent.

Excellent place, good service, good food, easy parking (note that parking in Sydney is very rare), good place for tourists to take photos, highly recommended

Really Beautiful club.... It feels like you ate in some nice... Fancy resort..... Lots of options for food... From casual cafe.. To fancy Italian n high end Chinese... Also has sub clubs such as squash etc... Also has gym n sport bar... We go there often with our two year old bub.... She loves the feel and water scapes around there

My favourite club. Never disappoints. Great food, entertainment and great customer service. Feel like you are in a resort.

The casino is no good we used to go to it but now they pay out minimal renting on the covid-19. Shame shame!!!!!!!!!!

The Bulldog's Las Vegas Palace is back in operation but in limited Covid19 control. Only the Bistro open for lunch but the food as good as ever with service delivery to the table. Hand sanitisers everywhere but sad to see some patrons (males) still have not got the message about hand and touch cleanliness, particularly around the loos. So while the cleaning staff are doing their best, be careful using handrails etc., so further infections are avoided. The sooner Covid19 is seen to be under control the sooner the restrictions can be lifted and we can all enjoy the rest of the Club's great facilities.

Funny place for Yum Cha. But there is always a line up. The dishes are always nice and fresh.

Food looks nothing like the picture. Also you have 15+ beers on tap. No choice of cider on tap. Just one in the bottle and to top it off it s the worst choice of cider.

I ve been coming here for the past year . The Bistro food is absolutely fabulous, the portions are a amazing and so much to dishes to choose from .

I was a member for 5+ years of this club and i was coming often as an regular customer who want to relax in a friendly place and then that day on the Thursday 25/09/15 about 1am at the morning one of the customer service manager come to me that a customer has made a complaint about me that I smell funny.

And that is not all that the manager that say to me and he's words was "have a shower", "use a men's perfume" and "I give you a warning" my reaction to he's comment that i wasn't very happy about it and he didn't give a chance to speak to him to explain about not to believe from only one person to make complaint.

The greatest Club in NSW. Food and Customer Service and ambience complement each other and the scenery and architecture is beautiful - A Gem of Belmore. I would recommend investing in a 4 star Hotel/Resort including a pool. One thing that needs a change is the way we are identified by our ID on arrival. Their should be a scanner where patrons scan their card and concierge can kindly overlook to make sure its done - replacing the current palestinean checkpoint style where concierge emerge with a stiff and confronting face to check for ID. I mean seriously that needs to stop. I also believe the club should allow anyone to wear hoodies or hats if muslims are given the right to wear burkas or headscarfs - we shouldn't be privileging 2% of the population.

Love eating at the Dynasty Restaurant. Always there for special occasions and just for a feed. Massive renovations at moment, gonna be amazing when completed.

Generally a very good place, but one of the staff at the front podium today was so unnecessarily unkind. Would leave 1 star if previous experiences had not been all right.

Gr8 place to hangout with your family...food was good...staff is friendly.. lot of option to spend some time...

Went there for yumcha. Had to wait around 20 minutes for a table which isnt too bad. Food was yummy. Service was good.

Came back here the second time within a week during the recent Christmas break as we had a good experience the first time round with both service and food. Second time, decided to spend hundreds of dollars on food and drinks as we were treating our parents and expecting the same quality food and level of service. Was completely disappointed by the cold food from the Bistro and watch out for Suzy at the Bar, she's got terrible customer service and a real attitude problem. She even poured back a little bit of wine into the bottle (probably less than 10ml) which made my standard drink substandard.

Has improved greatly since the most recent renovations were completed.

been to canterbury leagues club for a very long time , they have great food and great service they also have a great chicken snitzel and a fantastic play area for the kids to play so you can sit down and enjoy a good coffe while they play

Absolutely fabulous place to enjoy breakfast lunch or dinner. Good surroundings. Club has got fitness club also.
