Our son has had a wonderful time snowboarding at Cannonsburg. He went again January 18th, but spent his time needlessly in the parking lot with a flat tire due to their excessive pothole at the entrance of Cannonsburg. This is their busy season - I believe proper maintaninance of their driveway is much needed and overdue. Please fix your entrance and driveway.

This is tough because of covid and the warm weather, but our ski experience this morning was less than ideal. We got a decent parking spot at 9:15 and picked up our new 6-punch passes which went smoothly. We had fun with fairly short lift lines for about an hour and then by 10:30 the lift lines got so long that we did a few runs on the rope tow and then just went home. The triple chair was closed for some reason so that was a bummer and didn't help. We grabbed hot pretzels and hot chocolate in the cafeteria and there was no line. The outdoor pop up cafe thing was closed. When we left people were still streaming in. I'm not saying I have a solution to this but that was our experience today. Hopefully better next time. 5 punch passes left :).

Very rude people. Guy with red beard needs more training on how to deal with the public. The parking here is completely out of control people act like they have never seen a parking lot before. They just park in the middle of the road they block roads so you can't even get through and the staff here just walks around like they dont see anything. Maybe it's because of poor management.

Great preseason and late events.

Best terrain park in all of Michigan. If you have not been here for snowboarding you are depriving yourself.

The staff are great and definitely show care for where they are working.

I went to Cannonsburg to go snow tubing. It was not very crowded since I arrived at 10 but it started to get very busy after lunch. They had 5 different lanes to go tubing down as well as some small ski slopes. The parking lot was not well plowed but the staff helped push people out if their cars got stuck. Overall it's a really fun place to go for some winter activities!

I am in a wheelchair and while the facility is technically "accessible", there are a few problems. 1) getting in and out of their one accessible bathroom stall is an extremely tight squeeze. The commode doesn't work for people who need to slide-transfer. There isn't any room on either side. 2) If you're of drinking age and want a drink or to order better quality food, unfortunately that restaurant/bar is upstairs and there isn't a ramp or elevator. 3) Handicap parking for someone using a side load vehicle is hit-n-miss. The unloading space between the 2 "van accessible" parking spots is rarely plowed and people often park there, thinking it's a normal parking space. 4) The ramps between the office area and the rental building are FAR STEEPER than the regulation 1:12 pitch. If you have a power chair, you might be able to go up/down them in reverse, but it's very risky. This place really needs some modernizing.

Great place to get some snowboarding, skiing and tubing in! Always great staff, they also have great food and drinks. They've done a lot to remodel and keep the place going. I also love the bonfires they always have going

The ice cream is amazing!! Turtle Sundae on butter pecan ice cream is the best EVER!! The whipped pineapple and cherry swirls were refreshing and delicious too! Served up in a waffle or cake cone OR in a cup!! Gotta try it!!

Cute and cozy little ski/snowboard resort. They also rent out fat bikes, which I got to try for the first time there. FYI, they oy have one small frame fat bike for rent.

Went there on a Sunday evening when they had a special: $25 for admission and free ski/snowboarding equipment rental. It was a good deal, but the wait time was quite long: about 45 mins for admission tickets and another 30 mins for equipment rentals. But the wait time was worth it; as soon as we hit the slopes, there was little wait time at the chair lifts. So we had plenty of time to ride.

Wow! Such a fun time. The staff was amazing - professional and enthusiastic. This was a father's day present and my Dad had a blast. Much better than a gift card or new tie.

Do I recommend the zip lining experience and cannonsburg = YES!

Had a lot of fun until the last 45 minutes or so of our 2 hour pass. We had till 9:30 but the workers seemed to be trying to push everyone out sooner. They kept shutting down the lanes and complaining that they didnt want to be there late. Dont sell passes till 9:30 if you have teenagers trying to get out by 9:00.

We were there for the picnic pips, which was fabulous. It's a great venue for that. The ski area and zip lines are so so. If you are a beginner at either, they're a good place to learn, but the hills are not challenging by any means.

The runs are fairly short. They seem to be more steep then anything else. There isnt much variation in the runs, its very open and just a straight shot to the bottom. They do try to change it up a little with terrain park boxes, rails, and jumps. Unfortunetly there just isnt a lot they can work with.

They do host a lot and have parties thoughout the season and bring in different venders that give out free gear. They also work with the local breweries and bring them in at times.

The lodge is rather sub-par. They have a typical sports venue cafe, not anything I would want to fill up on when spending the day outside in the cold. They do have a restaurant also but they arent always open, so check hours ahead of time if you want to go that route.

The office staff is very friendly, as well as the staff at the rentals, and ticket booths. The lift operators on the other hand are not so much. Of the 6+ days I spent out there over this last seaon only one lift operator was "friendy." My standards for friendliness are not very high. All I ask is that people are polite and greet you, but the vast majority of the lift staff seemed to just ignore you.

The ski area really isnt that bad, I know I graded rather hard, just know its no Boyne or Caberfae. It's a fun place to snowboard or ski espesually if you are in to terrain parks. If you are close it is cheaper and easier to get to then to head up north, but if you not... I don't believe its worth the drive.

Decent skiing when you're desperate or when there's a deal on. This was a good place for my wife and I to learn the ropes. (I'm a first-time skiier; she had skiied in Colorado a few times a decade ago.) We went on a Sunday evening to take advantage of a $20 lift ticket + ski rental deal, and we enjoyed the 4 hours we spent there. The runs are limited and a tad short, so you'll spend some time on a lift, but if you're just out for some practice that's just fine. I've seen some complaints about service. We thought the staff were helpful and polite, but they were all under 18 it seemed, so I could imagine some issues arising. But again, we were happy customers and would go back for a 1/2 day session when the price is right.

I am loving the new Sweet Spot ice cream spot out on the back patio! They have great selections, some really inventive items, and fun adult drinks as well. There is plenty of seating outdoors for social distancing, and the prices aren't outrageous either.

This place isn't perfect, but what it offers to our community is priceless. I love that I can mountain bike and hike here in the summer, and it offers a nice option for snowboarding in the winter with my kids. Kids 6 and under are free if they're just going on the bunny hill, that has saved me a lot of money while I've been teaching my kids to snowboard. There's a good vibe at Cannonsburg and I'm glad it's close by!

Originally came there for tubing in a big group, but ended up going for snowboarding as well.
The staff is very respectful and not noisy. You are left to do whatever you want as long as it is within the guidelines. There is staff stationed throughout the ski area watching out for the equipment being used and for your safety.
The slopes are really nice and vary in length, slope, height, and overall difficulty. So no matter how good or bad you are, it seems like you can still have fun!
Pricing is very reasonable as well!

I had an amazing time there. I have not yet been able to come back for more, but I will as soon as I can!
You will not regret coming!

Snow much fun! Seriously, this was my first time here and it was such a blast we didn't want to leave after our 2 hr window of tubing.

My only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the parking lot, which was full of slush and ice and ruts on a hill. My all wheel drive SUV kept sliding closer and closer downhill to the car next to me when we were trying to leave. I was doing the proper rocking motion too. Someone tried to help push me and fell 4 times walking to/from my car to assist. Hoping this was just a one-time issue. Would recommend them maintain the parking lot better. Have salt or kitty litter with you just in case!

Extremely small Hill built in an old landfill. It's really only good for beginners to learn how to snowboard or ski. The hill itself is groomed well, but one can traverse it in less than 20 seconds. Nice it's close by, but that's about it.

I don t even know where to start. The parking lot is in terrible condition and has been for years. Pot holes the size of your car throughout.Horrible customer service! Everyone in the front office sits around clueless to what s happening around them and are rude when asked to do anything. Not sure how the restaurant has ever passed any kind of health inspection it appeared that none of the dishes were even washed. the maintenance workers are constantly drinking as well as most of the operators and management. Mounds of grease and other fluids are soaking into the ground at all of the lift terminals. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Very biased opinion here, so take how ever you must. Busiest time of the year you spend $70 For 2 people Just a waiting line for 20 minutes to ride 30 seconds. Especially seems they bought out the competition just to let the assets wither away and die. Especially seems they bought out the competition just to let the assets wither away and die. If They were Smart they would have opened Pando bk up! Drove there this morning To be there at 10 when 2 days ago it said they opened Just to find out That they open at noon. Waste of time and money go hike the back country.

Was told when we called that masks had to be worn inside only. Then when we arrived they told us we had to wear masks while skiing down the hills. This an active sport and then on top of that the mask is soaking wet from the snow that is falling..And they are super rude about it....save your money go to JJ for tubing and Boyne for skiing

The only reason I'm giving Cannonsburg a three star review is that I am taking the fact they're in Michigan into account. Perfect spot for beginners but won't impress you if you crave fresh powder, long runs and backcountry lines.

Quite frankly just a bad experience. On a Sunday in January with their parking lot full, they had only one lift going.

The worst part was that this lift is completely unusable for snowboarders. The drop off hill is at least 45 degrees and ridiculously long to go down. I fell. My husband who has been snowboarding for 15 years fell. We decided to watch the next 10 snowboarders to see how they did. 9 out of the next 10 also fell.

The tow ropes and magic carpet they had going were equally unusable. We went down 3 runs and left. Go up north next time. The extra drive time and extra money will be well worth it.

The hills are pretty great, but the chair lifts are always malfunctioning and the farthest lift from the lodge is notorious for always being broken. Lines are super long on weekends. $35 for a weekend price day lift ticket for those conditions is kind of a rip off.

Over all I had a great experience. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars aside from one pretty big oversite it would deserve 5. My issue is with the rental equipment. Upon return of the equipment they do not issue you any type of recipt or proof on your end that you in fact returnd the equipment. So if something hypothetically went missing and I was charged for some of the equipment because they claimed it was missing or not returned. Despite my requesting, that explained they would not give any proof to show I infact returned the equipment and it was in good shape. They had a whole spiel about mathing up a white slip to a yellow one in their paper work and that's all fine and well. But if I had u go to court to prove I returned the equipment in working order, If for some reason they decided to charge me for something. I would be unable to because they didn't issue a reciept stating they received it back. As expensive as this equipment is that's a pretty big oversite and offers me no assurance that I won't be charged for equipment that was lost or misplaced by their young staff. Who were all polite and friendly and professional by the way.but people are people and I would've liked some type of reciept or proof that they acknowledge that recvieved their gear back and tht it was in good working order when it was returned. Other than that. S great experience and I highly reccomend the place. Just maybe have a plan to prove you returned any equipment you borrow. Because proof will not be provided otherwise. Leaving the door wide open to charge you and leaving you in a completely defenseless position legally.

While I m not a skier, Cannonsburg offers an excellent place to ride your mountain bike all year round. During spring summer and fall it is one of the most challenging trails in west Michigan, with plenty of climbing. Since it is on a hill and the soul is sandy, it drains well and can be ridden when wet. During winter they create a Fat Bike specific trail that is groomed. It costs $5 for a day pass and a pass for the season is $25 or $30. Well worth it considering all the riding you can do there for free the rest of the year.

Drove up from Marshall, we were all looking forward to go, kept checking the website for their covid restrictions and not once on the website did it say we needed reservations to snowboard. Staff told us we had to make them online, the only thing the website said was we needed reservations to go tubing which we weren t. Super disappointed

It s got so many snow activities to keep you coming to this place very often. Skiing, snow tubing were among the favourites. Make sure you don t go on the day when the winds are high else you may want to leave the place early. Otherwise, it s really fun to keep doing the snow tubing and try checking out the groupon for coupons.

Just a warning kids must be 42" to go tubing. While I was very frustrated being told my 3 yr old was too small to go tubing (not when we got lift tickets, or before tubing down the hill the first time) after we already went down and he absolutely loved it
Had my 8 yr old, niece, and nephew not been with us as well, I would have gotten discouraged and gone home. Since they were there, I had no intentions of leaving that early. Long story short, I got my 3 yr old and myself (it's been 17 yrs) in skis today and all of us had an amazing day.
