Cannonsburg Ski Area Review

Planed ahead and paid online for are pass and are rentals drove a hour to get there, waited a hour in lines to find out they did not have boots for us. Wasted are hole day, witch we don't get very often. Won't wast my time there again.

Great mountain biking, gradual inclines to start the ride helps to get the heart working. Good pain in the butt hill with well positioned roots and lots of sand which is always a challenge. Great ride - then walk up the ski hill!

Enjoyed skiing but understaffed for concession and rental but very affordable and good mountain

Very fun day tubing. I've come here for years for skiing, but the tubing was a riot with the family. Much faster than I expected!

Typically cannonsburg is our winter go to for tubing! We bring an adult group every year....... We have so much fun and other than the absolute tiniest bathroom stalls, we have always loved it! But this past Saturday we were pushed out and annoyed but the children running the hill. Closing 3 lanes at 9 and complaining about all their work they have to do, how long it takes and how they "just want out of work"...... nevermind the fact that you guys had already cut the time down to 2 hours for the same price( which we understand...covid) but you should at least provide great service otherwise with better attitudes from the children/employees.k

Really great for the greatest of pros or newest of beginner

Very nice ppl but very old structure and the parking lot is dirt and full of holes.

Horribly run, understaffed and a total waste of money. Had to wait an hour to get a lift ticket just for half of the runs to be closed. The main run is poorly maintained and a glorified bunny hill. This place isn't worth the money, go litterally anywhere else.

Love this place and the staff is always great. So much to do and beautiful property!

Good for beginners but too easy for advanced skiers

I have spent countless hours here, the service is great, the hills are very well groomed and the terrain parks are always in top top shape.

Awesome series of singletrack and in the winter a nice hill to ski/snowboard.

Waited two hours to get tickets, another hour and a half for boots.

Great tubing. Fill out waivers beforehand. Long lines. No internet service to fill waiver out while in line

Great zip lining experience. Fantastic friendly staff. Would highly recommend to all.

I went to a picnic pop concert had a blast and the burgers were good also

We Always have fun here. The food is some of the best I've had at a ski establishment.

This is where I learn how to snow ski in the 70s & our Junior High also had a ski club so we did a lot of skiing here on the face & the quad ...that's about the extent of it ...I don't know maybe it's changed since then... but we moved out of the area... so I haven't been skiing there since early 80s ...it's a great place for skiing moguls..today I'm a Christian evangelist in Southern California . As a first time skier, I really had a lot of options for hills. The staff are very nice and will guide you where to go.

Waited 45 minutes just to buy my lift and rental ticket. Then got in a separate line to get my rental boots. I stood in that line for over 45 minutes and wasn't even close to finally reaching the front. I finally gave up and went home. It would have taken me over 3 hours just to get on the hills.

One of the most unorganized places I have ever been too. Everyone was very confused and frustrated. There weren't any staff member there to assisted you if needed. Total waste of money that I'm sure I'll never get back.

I just recently had my wedding at Cannonsburg Ski lodge in August. I have nothing but good things to say about Hans the new manager. He granted every request that I had and was more than willing to help. My wedding day went perfect and I have no complaints. I highly recommend this wedding venue.

I am slightly disappointed by my recent tubing experience at Cannonsburg. It was a 1.5 hour round trip drive. It was nice that an employee warned us in the ticket line that, due to an abundance of visitors, they may need to restrict entries until others left. All of the employees were friendly. My issues I had this day were the lack of snow plowing in the parking areas before opening. The eating tables were disgusting. The bathrooms were unattended with tp on the wet floor, and unkept toilets. They should have a fan on the floor to reduce slips and the musty smell. Virtually everything I ordered at the concession was unavailable: elephant ears, hot pretzel, cinnamon roll, hot chocolate, and no available tap water. The employees apologized for a lack of staff, but I feel the manager should have been on more of an 'A game'. Signs could have been posted as to what food wasn't available to keep the concession lines smooth. Someone did attend tables and empty full trash cans after speaking with the manager.

Great ski resort! You can't beat the student discount prices.

I go every year to ride the slopes. All skill levels are welcome. There are a few tow ropes and skate parks for more skilled riders. There are college student discounts of 50% off as of February 2018!

Nice Trails, friendly staff. Facilities are in dire need of repair and expansion. Bathrooms were over run and nasty. Multiple 5 gallon buckets catching water from the ceiling in the rental area.

Just finished tubing. It's run by a bunch kids who were drinking the entire time and not even paying attention. They closed the tubing lanes almost a half hour early and were cleaning up the mats while people were still going down, leaving them in the middle of the way for people to run into. Extremely unprofessional. Will not be returning.

Make a reservation before you go things have changed

Taco Tuesdays is lane when you have to wait 45 minutes for a plate of tacos.

Our work held the annual outing here for the zip line. It was great! The staff that guided us through the lines were fun, and they made sure everyone had a great time. The zip lines were more fun than I thought they would be, and the guides added in a little extra game towards the end. They made certain everyone followed safety precautions as well. It was a lot of fun but I would encourage folks to dress appropriately - the harness that you wear can..... Chafe.

So many people there biking, hiking, running and walking. Love the food, too!

Great skiing on a nice cold day! Plenty of space inside the lodge for many people.
Food is a bit pricey in the cafe, so consider packing your own snacks/meals.

Went around dinner time and worked out perfectly. They only let some many on the tubing hill at a time. We had so much fun and were able to get so many reps on the hill that we left before out time was up!

This is a good place to learn to ski. The hills are nice and although the ski lifts are slow, it s still a fun place to go. The BIGGEST problem is the people that clog up the hill by sitting in groups about 20 feet down from the top. We purchased season passes and every single time we have gone, there are groups just hanging out goofing around and NOT SKIING. This is not people who have fallen and are trying to get up. It s people talking, throwing snow, and just sitting in the way for long periods of time. It would be much more enjoyable if this were controlled.

What we went to the Cannonsburg Ski Lodge with Florida family their kids loved it never has seen snow before it was $20 a person to tube for 3 hours Good Times cold day.

Great fun place, great people both staff and clientele.
My instructor was a source and helped me work on my weak spots.
Really well maintained equipment and a nice atmosphere.
The only thing not solid 5 star was.the stinky bathroom everybody complains about in the reviews but who cares, such a fun spot with 20 trails open the day i was there late in the season.
They had 4 foot snow base btw.

Amazing outdoor area. For the geography, you won't find a better ski hill. Great runs, well maintained with lots of terrain features for snowboarding and vert skier's. In the summer they have an extensive mountain biking course as well as a high ropes course. They also supplement their summer program with live music, food and beer on certain event nights.

It was my first time snowboarding and I absolutely loved it, the staff was very polite and it was easy to know where everything was. Definelty going to go back!

Skiing in West Michigan, tough topic. Good skiing for the park riders and mediocre riding for all others. Staff is a bit spaced out but they're very nice most of the time. Snowboarders can be a bit crunchy and pretentious sometimes. They cut people off like crazy on the rope tows

Coming here is like traveling back in time. To the beginning of the 20th century. No computers, service slow, no work ethic, no rules, questionable safety. Unfortunately this is the best our community has to offer.

Their bathrooms were WAY too small. Not even a little kid can fit in it. If they can't have public bathrooms, then what's the point of selling food and drinks? You're basically SOL. not to mention no room to take off your layers when you have to go!

Skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking& zip lines are all good. The lodge facility and parking lot both need a major rehab.

Highly recommend not using the tubing hill especially with young children. Hill were great and so much fun. Magic carpet to get up the hill absolutely horrible. When there is an issue it slams to a halt and knocks almost everyone face first to the ground. Even worse our group of 20 Saturday the 13th experienced not only those stop but also a snapped magic carpet. It was a black out experience sending everyone with extreme force straight to the ground. looking down the magic carpet after that happened there was no one on their feet for many minutes. After speaking to many group members today the back and muscle pain we feel is horrible. Take a wide stand and always be prepared for a nasty quick stop without warning. Don't be fooled and think it will be a smooth trip up every time.

Great place for outdoor activities, grandchildren taking ski lessons awesome staff.

Trails are beautiful and challenging!! Only mud was getting to and from the trials.

We went on the East Side Zip Line adventure. It was a lot of fun and everyone was really nice.

Great MTB trail system. Combined with the game Area Trail system just a mile away you have lots to explore.

Went during the most packed day. Still has quick service and short lines!

Had a great visit! Lines got long for the tubing but that was to be expected with the weather. Would have been better if they a) Had more than 1 person working the tubing window and b) Had some quicker options for snacks or drinks.

Great place to go skiing, snowboarding, and tubing in the winter, and biking, hiking, and more in the summer. Many options and very kid friendly. Took lessons 6 years ago that I still remember.

Parking lot is full of DEEP pot holes.
The lodge is in desperate need of remolding! Bathrooms are cold. You can feel the cool air coming in through the windows if you are sitting in the lower level near the window. Too many people just leaving their gear all over tables leaving little to no room for people who actually stay & supervise their kids (and are not skiers themselves). Wait staff in the upstairs lounge can be extremely slow in recognizing that they have a table, checking back on customers, & bringing bills. The facility as a whole is in desperate need of some work!!!
Super frustrating to go skiing in the evening only to find that several schools are there racing & the face is completely off limits to those who have paid for a lift ticket.

Super nice place, had fun snowboarding and had some drinks afterwards. It had been our first time there and we did not get a lot of direction on where to go or what to do for a beginner though, so we had been kind of lost on what to do.

Decent skiing. Tubing hill is fun. Local and convenient.

Very fun place to go and hangout with a group of friends. Personally I've only experienced their tubing hill, but if everything else is as much fun this place will not disappoint! Cost during the week is $15/person (which includes Friday evenings), and weekend rates are $20. Later in the evening the employees tend to be a bit more relaxed, so I highly recommend getting a pass (passes last 3 hours) that lasts until 10pm, when they close.

I hosted my twins 17th birthday party Cannonsburg we had a tubing snowboarding and skiing event with all sorts of amenities this place is absolutely beautiful and so amazing all of my guests all 25 of them absolutely loved the party experience of this place since we haven't had much snow this year parents and guests who haven't experienced Cannonsburg were a little skeptical of the party venue but I've been there many times and kept it a surprise to those who haven't I knew that there was no need to worry because Cannonsburg makes its own SNOW so anytime you wish you can go there and have a blast no matter what's your weather there will always be snow!!! Thank you Cannonsburg Ski Resort for making this one awesome Birthday Venue and if you don't have tubing snowboards or skis or helmets no need to worry Cannonsburg has all the gear you may need at a very reasonable price so if you haven't checked it out please do you will absolutely love this place and take yourself or family again and again enjoy I know we did

Went on Sunday with the $25 package! Excellent for the price paid!

don't waste your time at this place. What a joke and a horrible system they have. 2 hour wait then said they had a party of 100 to cut in line and we would have to wait another 2 hours. This place is a joke at best. they were nervouse to tell the line they would have to wIt another 2 hours so the staff all disappeared. I walked around the building and looked in a window they were all sitting in a break room hiding from the crowd.
