Dropped by this storied university for a quick stroll. It's a small focused campus that while it generally doesn't have the fancy looking architecture of some of its larger brethren, it still impresses as you recognize the buildings and some of the achievements that have come from it

A very nice place, but surprisely small - 2k undergraduate students and 5k graduate students. You can come round the entire college in like 40 minutes. Unlike MIT or Harvard you can walk around and inside almost all buildings, that is very nice.

The high school grade point average of undergraduate students is 4.00. In this case, even the light cow appeals to an intermediate segment. There are some high school students who cry because they spend their summer holidays in the caltech summer school. According to myth, it is behind in the publication list due to the fact that many secret government projects are carried out in research laboratories. jpl, the California leg of nasa, is affiliated with caltech. And also, the colors of the school are orange and black and it is the hand that holds the coat of arms.

When I was in college, I finally came to the school I had just heard. There is an atmosphere that can not be felt in the humanities or general affairs because it is only research-oriented engineering colleges. It is also a library, and every year we have undergraduates with less than 400 students. There was a lot of research posters about whether there was an academic conference, but some of them seem to be the subject of Dust of Mars. The library is on the 9th floor of the Millicon building,

Yes, it's Cal-Tech. Yes, there are Nobel winners on campus. Yes, there are people who think about science every single second of their life here. But.....this place has the coolest turtle pond I have ever seen in my life. Go sit at one of the benches by the turtle pond and just stare at these creatures come in and out of the water. Time will fly by like nothing happened!

Clearly a world class faculty club that allows associate memberships. Beautiful "Athenaeum" architecture, world class chefs, stunning surroundings inside and out, wide variety menu, great service.....clearly an experience to strive for.

My 100th reviews ! Cal Tech don't often get as much attention as MIT. but people who try to apply top notch school would definite know Cal Tech and MIT are big rival and often joke around that people can't get to Cal Tech when to accept to MIT instead. The Campus is located south west of PCC, is sligh larger but is a lot less people than PCC so doesn't really feel crowded most of the time. The campus has a Architecture design almost all of their building from old to modern. What i really like is their gym, despite small campus, they got a very nice gym with nice size indoor basketball court and track and field. Not to mention they got loads of tennis court. As for the food is pretty good, variety but is a bit pricey, but is more healthy choice , anyone can actually go eat there doesn't check the ID, but only accept cash. Parking in the other hand isn't that great, however is possible to find 2 hours parking in 1 or 2 block away, just aware don't get pass the time, cause city do come check often even in the weekend. By the way offer music concept in here for a low price.

One of the best universities in the country, therefore the world. Pretty campus too. They're always having both free and paid events on scientific topics ranging from space exploration to climate change, extremely interesting. Overall a gem of Pasadena.

I took my high schooler here to tour the campus. I have lived in LA all my life and had never visited. The campus is very beautiful with a lot of old buildings as the University was established in the 1800s. It was Thanksgiving break so the campus was empty but I saw locals walking dogs, etc. enjoying the ambiance.

Caltech: Expanding Human Knowledge and Benefiting Society through Research Integrated with Education

The California Institute of Technology, commonly known as Caltech, is a private research university located in Pasadena, California. Established in 1891 as Throop University, it was renamed to its current name in 1920. Caltech is renowned for its rigorous academic programs and cutting-edge research facilities that have produced numerous Nobel laureates and other distinguished scientists.

Caltech's mission is to expand human knowledge and benefit society through research integrated with education. The university has a strong focus on science and engineering disciplines but also offers programs in humanities and social sciences. Its faculty members are world-renowned experts who are dedicated to advancing their respective fields of study.

One of the unique features of Caltech is its small size. With only around 2,200 students enrolled at any given time, the university provides an intimate learning environment where students can receive personalized attention from their professors. This allows for close collaboration between students and faculty members on research projects that often lead to groundbreaking discoveries.

Caltech's academic programs are divided into six divisions: Biology & Biological Engineering; Chemistry & Chemical Engineering; Engineering & Applied Science; Geological & Planetary Sciences; Humanities & Social Sciences; Physics, Mathematics & Astronomy. Each division offers undergraduate majors as well as graduate programs leading to master's or doctoral degrees.

The undergraduate program at Caltech is highly selective with an acceptance rate of around 6%. Students who are admitted have exceptional academic records and demonstrate a passion for scientific inquiry. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on experience through laboratory work, independent research projects, and internships.

Graduate students at Caltech have access to state-of-the-art facilities such as the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), which is managed by NASA for space exploration missions. JPL has been involved in many historic space missions including Voyager I&II spacecrafts that explored outer planets like Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune etc., Mars rovers like Curiosity Perseverance etc., Cassini-Huygens mission which explored Saturn system etc..

Research at Caltech covers a wide range of topics from fundamental physics theories to applied engineering solutions for real-world problems such as climate change or energy production/storage systems development using renewable sources like solar wind hydroelectricity etc.. Some notable areas of research include quantum computing/communication technologies development using superconducting circuits/nanophotonics/optomechanics techniques , neuroscience studies focusing on understanding brain function/mapping neural circuits/developing new therapies/treatments for neurological disorders , materials science/engineering exploring novel materials properties/applications ranging from nanomaterials/biomaterials/electronic/optical devices/sensors/catalysts/batteries/fuel cells/solar cells etc..

Caltech has a strong commitment to sustainability practices both on campus operations (e.g., energy/water conservation measures)and off-campus collaborations/partnerships (e.g., clean energy initiatives). The university also encourages diversity/inclusion efforts among its student body/faculty/staff/community partners by providing resources/support networks/programs/events promoting equity/accessibility/respectful dialogue across different backgrounds/perspectives/cultures/lifestyles/etc..

In conclusion, Caltech stands out among other universities due to its exceptional academic standards/research excellence/small size/intimate learning environment/state-of-the-art facilities/diverse community values/sustainability commitments/etc.. It continues to attract top talent from all over the world who seek opportunities not only for personal growth but also societal impact through scientific innovation/discovery/application towards global challenges facing humanity today/tomorrow .
