Ive been going here for an annual girls day for 15 years. Recently they remodeled and raised their prices so high I can go anymore. Last two times we were here the spas were green.

Calistoga Spa Hot Springs

Calistoga Spa Hot Springs

Affordable getaway for couples wanting some chill-out.

It's not about the accommodation, which is very basic but about the hot springs and the view from the pools. Each time I enter the city I already feel relaxed. I guess it is due to the hot mineral water that relaxes me instantly, especially with a glass of good wine in my hand.

PLUSES:
*Located in the middle of the town
*Walking distance restaurants, grocery shop (good selection of cheese), and coffees (you can send your significant other to fetch a cup of coffee from across the street after your morning laps in the pool)
*Good speed Internet
*Bathrobes upon request
*Rooms are fairly clean
*Super friendly and courteous service
*In the evening you can sip your wine by the pool, watching the firepit and the stars.
*There are picnic tables with barbeques
*Rooms are fairly clean
*There are 3 mineral pools at different temperatures: lap pool is 80F, middle pool 100F, and jet pool 104F

MINUSES:
*Check-out only till 11:00 - I prefer 12:00
*Super thin floors/ceilings, so you hear every single step from the above rooms
*No toilet brush in the bathroom
*Poor water pressure
*Bad lighting - some dimmers would make a difference and standing lamps.

PRICE:
*Room with Queen Bed $241.44

TIP:
1. I would definitely recommend getting a room on the top floor to avoid hearing pounding above your head.

2. Don't leave anything on the kitchen's counter overnight. The ants will find their way to your goodies.

I've stayed here several times, and I look forward to going every year. The rooms are very nice and updated and clean. The pools and jacuzzi are quite relaxing and the views are beautiful. I really loved mud bath, but my only complaint it's with the massages. I've had two massages there that were quite terrible and I will be getting my massage is elsewhere next time. The massage therapists were friendly, but they didn't seem particularly skilled or practiced and I wondered if they were even licensed. Additionally, the massage atmosphere is not very relaxing. It's just a bright room with no music and you stare through a hole at your therapist's feet. It was rather uncomfortable. Also, the second massage started 5 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early. I did mention this to the management and they eventually credited back the time, but next time it's just not worth the hassle for me.

The room we have is great. Upgraded. Has a kitchen to prepare meals and bed is very comfortable. The Hot Springs are great. There are 3...a pool at 80 degrees. Another smaller Pool at 100 degrees and the best is the 104 degrees. The water feels amazing and the Hotel is very clean with a nice gym. Will come back again.

We had a very pleasant stay. The choice of 2 heated pools at different temperatures and hot tub is great. Not allowing kids in the hot tub is terrific! The lighting on the walkways is dim and could be improved for older folks like us. Nonetheless, the walkways and pool areas are safe and without trip hazards. The rooms are clean and adequate. We appreciated the kitchenette. The bath towels and robes are great. It would be nice to include a full service restaurant as the restaurants in town are mostly wine bars, taverns, and pizza places except for the Calistoga Inn, which was good.

Thanks to Mike Lennon and his gracious team for hosting the 27th annual Tour de Calistoga bike ride. Our ride begins in Winters CA every year in July. WE ride over the Berryessa Hills for a 2 day recovery at the Calistoga Spa and then home again to Winters. Everything is always in order, clean and truly the most wonderful place to rest our weary bones after the 51 mile ride. Looking forward to # 28 in 2019.

This place going down.first of all place is so dirty. Staff put u on hold over 20 minutes to get straight answer.food all over floor .bbq grill was dirty no brush or towels to clean up.

Pools are nice during the weekdays it was not too busy, although a bit outdated, and for the price we paid for the massages at the 2* hotel I expected worse.
- I liked the fact we can come and go to get food and come back, as well as I can bring my own food and drinks.
- robes are provided, showers are clean.
- staff is friendly
- the bad part is a massage... it s not good. My boyfriend and I agreed it was way too light, almost like we had nothing done. Felt like someone pet me...
- I would say... it s OK, it s a budget affordable SPA, but will not be recommending this place.

Amazing mineral pool and grounds. The room we had was big and clean but the constant noise from neighbors next door and above make it a tough place to commit to staying again. The pools would be the only thing drawing me back.

I wish i had photos to share of this place. Its well worth the time and money. Theres really nice bars and places to eat within walking distance. Staff there are really nice. I dropped my id and credit card in the parking lot and they held onto it for me (unlike most places where they would likely steal it).

Came to this Hot Springs for the 5th time! As I entered, two staff attendees smiled at us right away! The hotel is really nice, it has everything you need! Daisy and Mark did very great with explaining to us "group from sacramento" about this facility. People are really friendly here. Come here for your self, it will not dissapoint you I promise! ;)

I used to go to this place for the evening soak, and bring groups of friends for daily soaks in their pools. Now they are no longer allowing people to soak in the pools unless you buy a 100$ massage or spend more money. Sad thing.

Wonderful hotel to relax and rejuvenate. Soak in the hot spring mineral pools, or lay in the comfy beds. They supply you with soft towels and robes to wander the hotel in OR you can get out and explore the town of Calistoga because you're right in the middle of it!

We stay at this hotel a few times a year. What a beautiful area and the hotel is absolutely perfect. Clean rooms, kitchenette (which we always use for cooking dinner), bathrooms are clean and renovated. Beds are comfortable. Check-ins and outs easy and swift. Will continue our family tradition and enjoy this hotel.

I love Calistoga Spa Hot Springs. I m here once a month. Tonight I had a wonderful mud bath by spa specialist Karen. This is the second time she amazes me with her outstanding service. She is very attentive to clients needs, super professional, sweethearted, wonderful woman. I hope management reads this review and recognizes her for her outstanding qualities.

My husband feels similarly about his mud bath specialist, Manny.

Great service. The staffs were patient and helpful. The hotel/spa locates at the heart of Calistoga. There are good restaurants and stores nearby. The hot spring pools are soothing. Rooms are clean. We stayed in a queen bed suite with full kitchen. The sofa bed was big and the suite can accommodate 4 people easily.

Another hidden treat. Paradise in the Bay. The entire town of Calistoga I found to be inviting and hospitable. Surrounded by wine country and fantastic views, this is an amazing oasis for lovers. Cheers to a great retreat.

The view from our room was priceless. The grounds were well kept, parking was easy to find, although a bit of a haul with our luggage to get to room 201, which was our perfect room location, upstairs away from the sounds from the pool, and on the end, so we only had one neighboring room. Nice! The heated mineral pools were heavenly. The people who paid to use the pool (non-hotel guests) were generally loud and some of them appeared to be mentally "off", the last evening we were there, but capacity is regulated, and the pool is for guests only after 9:00, so we had ample time to relax and enjoy. I will add that many of the locals using the pool were quite pleasant and interesting to talk to. Our room size was very large, with a little kitchenette, but NO MICROWAVE, so don't bother bringing leftovers back from the fantastic restaurants in town. Location is just a block from the main drag, with all the restaurants and shops. This is our new favorite lodging in the Napa Valley, given the value for the money. I would not pay more than $175.
Check-in was a breeze, as was check-out. Bill was 100% accurate, which doesn't always seem to happen.

My God always has been and always will be a wonderful place to R&R. After 40 years way too expensive. Id like to see seasonal rates (spa) for returning customers. Not everyone is a tourist.

This was my first visit since the remodel, and I loved it. Ambience is really nice and the pools were near perfect. The cold pool was a little dirty, but I won't knock it down a rating for something so silly. I had great time and I look forward to coming back!

This place is a great value. The pricing was very reasonable for large, up-to-date suites that include a small kitchen and living room area, separate from the bedroom. The room was neat and clean and kitchen stocked with all the basics. The staff was extremely professional and overall very pleasant.

The highlight of course are the four pools of varying temperatures. Extremely clean and pleasant pool area with extended hours.

The location is one block off the main strip - you can literally walk to just about any Calistoga restaurant or shop from here.

Four starts instead of five because on our last day there was a wind storm, which took out the power, which meant the pools were not able to be heated and in fact they wouldn't let us even go in the lukewarm (unheated) water. Pretty bummed since the pools were the main attraction for us. Otherwise, recommend this place for a Calistoga stay.

We were here on Tuesday, but the parking was still very limited. With a price of over $300 a night I was expecting something spectacular, it turns out to be a OK place. There are 4 pools, with different temperatures. The pool hours is from 8 am to 11 pm for hotel guest. It seem non-hotel guest can go to the pools for a fee. There is a nice on site gym. It is a good place to visit and stay if you don't need to pay this much.

Worst Customer Service! I stayed there with 10 family member in 5 rooms. I made 2 massage appts. for my daugher & grand daugher and stopped in 45 minutes prior to pick up robes. When they returned to check in at appt time, their appts had been given to someone else. Calistoga spa took no responsibilty for error. After I spoke to 2 managers, they rebooked appts for the following day and told me the massages would be comped. But when I got home they were charged to my credit card with a 10% discount. When I checked out I paid for 2 rooms and got receipts. When I returned home the rooms were booked on my credit card statement and then one room charge disappeared. Now 3 weeks later I get a call from the Calistoga spa saying they charged one of my rooms to the wrong credit card. Even though my receipt says my card. They took no responsibility for any of their mistakes and couldn't care less if I was happy or not. Really bad customer service.

I had girl's trip with my cousins, aunt and niece for my bday. The place is actually quiet due to the situation right now regarding covid. People are social distancing and wears mask. The staffs are very accommodating. No reservations for the mineral pool. We are definitely coming back when its not on the purple tier with the whole family.

Been here once a year for three years now. Expensive but clean, great pools, well insulated rooms- no noise from adjoining rooms. Nice equipped gym and 25 yard lap pool are big plus. Have not used spa services. Agree with other reviewers that front desk staff not particularly warm or friendly.

We just got back from our stay at Calistoga Hot Springs and it was amazing. The rooms are updated and beautiful, it s in walking distance to everything in Calistoga, and the mineral pools are WONDERFUL. We had an amazing time going back and forth between the 3 pools ranging in temperature. The best part of our stay was how great the staff was. The manager was so accommodating to us and I cannot wait to go back and give them our business. Not to mention, the pools are very healing. I feel energized and amazing after my stay there. Thank you to the staff at Calistoga Hot springs for making our anniversary so great

I stayed at the resort with a girlfriend 11/10. Facilities were adequate for our trip. Hot springs were very nice. Due to Covid there were certain restrictions and activities/ amenities not available which is completely understandable, however to our surprise the front desk informed us there was not water or any other beverages available to purchase on site due to the pandemic and we would have to drive to the gas station a couple miles away to get something as that was the closest. Considering the hotel is in wine country where many are drinking and that the hotel offers hot springs to soak in which are around 100 degrees we were both equally surprised and unsatisfied that no water was provided or available to purchase on site. Definitely not a wise decision on the hotels end.

I have been a guest at this spa for many years! I come back for the amazing healing experience from the Hot Springs water in the various pools, the associates are so kind and attentive, the proximity from your room to the pools is steps away, late night soaking, and lovely rooms recently remodeled are delightful! Not to mention walking distance to the shops and restaurants is half a block away! Never a disappointment at #calistogaspahotsprings!

I grew up coming here, over 40 years. I watched this place develop and grow. This place was the best. However, now that they don't care about the little people that made this place what it is by not allowing day use of the pools anymore, I will never go back to this place. They care more about the money that your patronage.

This boutique hotel is a beautiful oasis in the wine country. My husband and I loved everything here: the large beautiful modern rooms with tall ceilings, comfy bed and a kitchenette, the bathrobes, the geothermal mineral pools, the enormous Jacuzzi and the gorgeous grounds. Oh, and the spa! I had my very first mud bath experience, it was relaxing and simply wonderful. I highly recommend it. The staff was very friendly (special shout out to Ariana and Gloria at front desk).

The parking is easy and free, and the hotel is located just a few steps away from the main street in Calistoga. We walked to the local grocery store and the local coffeeshop in the mornings, then drove to wine tastings in the afternoon, and walked to the local restaurants in the evening. Highly recommend this charming, serene and beautiful hotel! P.S. They let us charge our plug-in Prius, which was an extra bonus.
