Ordered the eggs Eggs Benedict... Nothing spectacular...

Curbside pickup. The girl on the phone said that they would bring the order to us. 30 minutes later I got out of my car and came to find out my order was sitting there for the better part of my wait. On the receipt the girl wrote what kind of car I was in because I let her know. So the guys out there attending the outside operations SAW the receipt, but didn't signal to me, I got no call saying my order was ready. If I hadn't been fed up with waiting so long for some measly french toast I probably would still be there waiting. Tell me to walk up and pick up my take out and I'm fine with that. But they said they'd come bring it to me and I waited and waited. Whatever.

The best place for a meal, been going for over 15 years

Today I did the Turkey Burger no bun with a side of Zucchini. So good.

Hate to leave a bad review when restaurants are already struggling during covid, but wow, two days in a row we had a bad experience.

Overall service was terribly slow both days (yesterday and today). Yesterday, we're a group of 4, asked for a high chair and it never came. Would have asked again but our waitress was hard to find. Drinks left empty for 10-15 minutes. Food arrived 30+ minutes with one order wrong. I eventually got up holding my toddler and walked into the place to get my own high chair. Funny enough, a server walked in behind (I held the door for him), didn't ask if I needed anything nor did anyone else in the restaurant building. So I proceeded to carry my own high chair I found all the way to the table, of course no one working there offered to help. The waitress didn't even acknowledge that I got it myself when she eventually showed up.

Today, we're there again (grandparents like this place, and like to eat out). Busy day, I'll give them that, waited 30 minutes for a table. We were seated WITH a high chair this time. I asked for paper menus which they are clearly stingy on giving out (our grandparents don't order by phone). Asked for 4, they brought 3. Sat for 30+ minutes before even approached by our waitress for drink orders. Like no joke, the tables around us got their food, ate it, and we're swiping credit cards by the time we got drink orders in. The waitress, on her first contact with us at this point, asked if we had ordered on the app yet. No introduction or anything, and guys c'mon, we're not a group of college kids eating lunch we're with an older generation who expects you to come take the order.

Food came 60-75 minutes from the time we sat down. My food (chicken club w/fries), came to the table totally cold. When you've been there over an hour and your food comes cold that is just totally unacceptable. I gave it back and asked for another. No apologies from anyone no less our waitress. Waited another 7-10 minutes and it came back luke warm. I have a strong suspicion they just put it under a heat lamp and gave it back to me because the sprouts I asked for had wilted a little. I should have just said forget it but we're trying to have a nice lunch with grandparents and great-grandparents so I just gave up and ate it

All in all we arrived at 12pm sharp and left at 2:20pm. Definitely not going back. You guys need to do better.

Your service was very very bad, two days in a row. You need to get orders right, delivered to the table on time, and when you mess up, you need to apologize and do something to make it right. Both days you missed the mark and no one seemed to care.

The staff are very friendly and the food excellent.

We celebrated a birthday. We ate in the patio area. Food was good. Service was excellent.

Makes me sad they got rid of most of the fish tanks.. but the fish and chips meal keeps bringing me back

My favorite Uptown Whittier Restaurant, great atmosphere & tasty food. The Chicken Cobb salad is the best!

This is our first stop for food since we landed in LA, and this was an awesome start to our trip! The place is ran by incredibly nice people whom are patient with first time customers. We opted in for the Benny Taco plate, Fajita style burrito with barbacoa beef, fried fish tacos, and a carnitas taco.

Been coming here for over 20 yrs. Great family owned restaurant that serves a delicious variety of food!

Portions are always enough for you to share and take home.

Well I am all for supporting the smaller businesses and that's why we tried this spot. Unfortunately the burgers were mediocre at best, and there are way to many great burgers joints out there for me to go back. Sorry... kinda.

The food is good and timely. George was friendly and checked on us at least 10 times which was a plus. Good birthday brunch!

It was good food its jus a server i have a problem with and this is the second time in a row she seems to think that im goin to get up with my 9 yrs old daughter and run with out payn my bill and her service is very bad she never asked if we needed anything and when i asked for ranch she gave me like a drop of ranch and i mean a drop and just for that alone i wont go feel like she will spit in my food

Food here is just as good as any fancy and more expensive restaurant. Everything is fresh and the menu and service is great. I am there 2 to 3 times a week.

This is classic. I had a turkey burger with their fries....amazing, fresh and delicious

The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because of the one (and only dinner) I ever got there. This was the first and last time. The staff was wonderful and professional - but the Fish-n-Chips?! By far the worst I have ever had!!!! Fairly small pieces (oh well), but the batter was disgusting; thick, doughy, and oily. Onion rings? Same - somewhat thin, but the coating was thick, doughy, oily. Even the garlic bread was gross - very hard and burnt on the side with the butter and garlic. One bite and I was done. I always bring home leftovers, but this is one of the few times I can remember that I purposefully left the food on the table.

The food was good. The atmosphere was nice. But the service was not great at all!!!
Which is too bad. I usually give a place a second shot if the food was ok. But when the service is as bad as this was, I'm not sure. They didn't bring butter with the bread, we had to ask twice; they didnt bring straws or ask if we would want them for the drinks, we had to ask; they didn't clear the table of appetizers and unneeded plates before dropping the main course even though the table was full and way to small.... We tried to give her the other plates and she said she couldn't take them then that she would be "right back" to get them. But her right back and our right back are not the same. She didn't clear the table of the first plates until we were half way through the main course. She asked if we needed boxes and we all said yes, but she brought 1.....?! What the heck. Seriously? I was completely irritated and we had to try and flag her down to tell her 2 more times to bring more boxes.

One of my fave spots did not disappoint today - went with the salmon salad -- you get a mighty portion of a salmon fillet, on a bed of salad greens, spiraled carrots, tomato wedges, thin cuts of red onion, and my absolute favorite vinaigrette dressing - (gonna sound like Lorelai Gilmore but, "I wanna take a bath in that sauce!"). This followed a delicious cup of tomato soup, and a refreshing mango iced tea. Friendly, accommodating staff, delicious food, recent embellishments such as a counter and big screen TVs,... give it a try there is always something yummy.

California Grill is a fantastic eatery with excellent dishes. I went here recently and my meal was great and the service was even better.

Very boring burgers: factory white bread bun, low quality beef mince, tasteless cheese and lettuce.

This is our monthly meet up place for nice atmosphere, easy parking, and good food.

O.g my daughter and I just tried this place. Seen it for years but recently just stopped for lunch. I had the pastrami sandwich it was the best by far

I have worked in restaurants and marketing for restaurants for the last 10 years and these folks always deliver their A-game. I called a phone order tonight and they had everything ready when I arrived. they had every precaution possible to limit distance between us picking up food, temporarily paused the salsa bar, and had plenty of signage of what they were doing to prevent the spread of covid-19.

This is my favorite breakfast and lunch spot in Whittier. The food is good. Service is excellent. Robert is an amazing very attentive server. It is definitely a place to try!

Ambiance was delightful and cozy. Service could be better. Although they came to serve right away, the waiter got my order wrong and did not come to offer a refill of coffee or water. Silverware was missing and had to use a fork to stir the coffee. Nobody came to check up on us. :( Other than that, I could recommend this place

Great atmosphere and delicious food at reasonable prices

This is the SECOND time they jacked up my to-go order and forgot major components of my meal. SMH. For as much as you guys charge for mediocre food you should at least ensure your packing a complete to go order of that same mediocre food! It's not rocket science. This place has changed. Consider other options....

Food and service we're good. I would eat there again. But i honestly couldnt find any parking but it was nice.

Very good restaurant, nothing to say about the prices which are more than correct. The food and the service are really excellent.
If I have the opportunity to come back to the area, I will eat there again with pleasure.
