This is my favorite place to get breakfast. I love their French toast Ambrosia. They also have great skillets and omelettes. Food is always amazing with fresh produce.

Food is always on point with a nice casual atmosphere and friendly, helpful servers. There is also a nice outdoor area where you can sit, eat and watch your favorite local sports teams on any of the several TV's that are outside for the customers convenience.

Clean - Friendly - Fast Service. Never had a bad meal ~ Try the Decaf Ice Tea, I believe they have three different flavors.

Had the pastrami sandwich. Very lean and tasty. Overall the food and service were very good. A little pricey but substantial size servings.

This place gets really packed on the weekends so I try to avoid it as much as I can early in the morning and if I do come it's during the week and their breakfast is very good I am a huge fan of their muffins so I suggest either the blueberry or the banana nut bread it's just to die for, they upgraded their coffee and it's so good if it was good before now it's just even better their Hostess are very helpful and the waiters are very good as well. I'm had their eggs benedict and they are really good all their egg dishes are a must, for lunch most of their sandwiches are super good and I'm a huge fan of their bruschetta and if we're looking for dinner options I always go for their chicken tortilla soup that is one of my favorite soups that I've ever found and I also have had their oriental chicken salad which is light and so yummy even their pasta dishes are pretty good I definitely suggest as place for breakfast lunch or dinner.

the atmosphere is nice. the servers and greeters are friendly. the food comes out pretty quickly. you can even eat out in the patio. above all the food tastes great. I've been here several times and enjoyed my experience each time.

They will make us almost anything at the California Grill. We are gluten/ grain free. It is easy to eat here.

California Grill reminds me of the place that you probably loved as a kid and went there for special occasions, but as you got older and bougier (or pickier or more difficult, whatever you want to call it), you stopped coming back because it felt too simple and just not that good.

There's a bunch of great things about California Grill. First, there's tons of seating, and they can usually handle large groups on a walk-in basis. Second, the service is so kind! The servers are all so sweet and considerate, and helpful! When I came a couple weeks ago, they immediately brought over coloring for the kids. Later, one of the kids spilled and our server was so calm and helpful! Within 10 seconds there were tons of napkins brought over and after 10 more seconds, someone came back with a mop. So easy, no scene, and didn't impact the service at all. Third, the portions are huge and the flavors are decent. The sides are a crowd-pleaser: you can never have enough of the Calamari or giant Mozzarella Sticks.

And then there are the reasons why you don't want to go to California Grill. The salads feature basic greens like romaine and there's no kale to be found anywhere. You order the healthiest salad you can find, the Avocado Tuna Salad, and order it with Grilled Salmon instead of Tuna Salad. It's just way too much salad, and although the flavors aren't bad, you know you'd rather have a Sweetgreen Bowl. The menu is uninspired and has a lot of basic dishes that your parents still like but you no longer want. You start to realize that California Grill didn't change. You changed! And then you start to have an existential life crisis because you realize that you've became a diva who can't appreciate the simple pleasures in life anymore. Everyone has a California Grill in their life. And it's a sad day when you realize that it's not them: it's you.

Good food, friendly service. Accommodations outside as good as any five star restaurant. Going back for sure

It's halfway between Pasadena and Cypress so my friend and I have been meeting there for years. The extensive menu keeps us from getting bored with the food and the atmosphere is better than your typical coffee shop.

My first time going was for Mother's Day I love the food so did my grandkids I took my husband for Father's Day and he loved it too

Dined at California Grill this eveining 3/19/16. Food was good,, service was good. My wife was drinking iced tea, glass had globs of something caked onto outside of glass. It was not noticed because the glass was turned away from her line of sight. The waiter apologized and should of noticed it. Waited for a booth, then several couples came in after us and were seated before we questioned, why we were not seated first, then they managed to seat us. Weve eaten in the place several times, but dirty glass was unacceptable. It is expected you will have utensils not clean on occasion, but this glass was disgusting. Asked cashier to speak with manager, took a while for manager to come forward. I felt the manager was not interested in my complaint. I left my nimber with the cashier, will see if I hear from the manager

Do you want to try some delicious fajitas? At California Grill in Whittier you can find them. Served with white rice and black beans with a special touch that cooks put on and it's fantastic. The very comfortable environment to live with the family.

Great food and was ready in like 15 minutes. The staff was friendly and had everyone spaced out with masks. Definitely a good spot.

The service always seems to have a hard time. Prices have gone up and quality of food has gone down... I usually regret it when I go there...

This is the first time my family and I have ever been unsatisfied with the food. Newporter was flavorless and tough, a was my son's steak. Also was charged twice for tea, but after pointing it out to the manager I was giving another tables check, just to have redo payment. Wasn't worth the money this time around. Probably better off going just for breakfast. Bummer!

Sunday afternoon, we were a group of 7. What a delight. Excellent service,friendly staff and the variety of food was amazing.. Three of us ordered breakfast,large portions and very delicious (hash browns were crispy)perfect, bacon too, the omelette perfect. The rest ordered dinner, Salmon,crunchy potatoes,and a variety of veggies. Great presentation! Can t forget the appetizers! Fried onion rings stacked (huge) and fried zucchini, also. The price was acceptable $10-$18. I will definitely be back and recommend this place

Gotta tell you 1st time here didn't know about this popular word of mouth place. It's a Diamond in the rough restaurant and the food and choices are very very good. They even offer discounts on txt and website which makes getting their offerings at even greater prices. It's a gotta try it once place but I know we'll be back. Thanks for a great experience.
