Great place for my son to interact with all the exhibits
This is one place I've been to many times as they always have something exciting to show. With kids or without you will find new things to learn here. Also have a food court where you can take a break. Like the surrounding area with the rose garden and the amazing front architecture. One thing I dislike: $12 parking fee...
California Science center has a lot of activities for kids.
Free WiFi, air conditioned, many food choices, relaxed atmosphere, educational, various exhibits in many areas, affordable.
A wonderful experience for children and adults! Great interactive exhibits!!!
Great place to take kids. Full of interesting exhibits, and best of all Free. Seeing the Space Shuttle or an IMAX film do cost a little, but it was well worth it.
Fantastic experience for kids and adults alike. If there's a game on you can still get in to the museum car parks, so no fear!
Love love love this place. The free exhibits are always worth visiting during the weekends. My favorite place is the aquarium.
Why do all the galleries have the same art month after month...especially the one with the big paper mache heads...and the lounge is boring. And what happened to the live bands that used to play outside?
So much to see and new things for the kids to touch.
5 stars doesn't mean it can't be improved, but alas, what an outstanding place to bring the family and enjoy mostly-free activities. You could spend an entire day here and not spend a dollar. The temporary exhibits are an extra fee and keep the place fresh. The interactive aquarium is worth the trip by itself, not to mention the freaking SPACE SHUTTLE.
Nice
place
Amazing! It is free and huge! Good for kids and adults!
Simply went to see Endeavour..awesome seeing a space shuttle!
See Endeavor, one of three surviving space shuttles up close!
This was was amazing and we'll worth the price to see the space shuttle. Parking is cash only so no credit cards.
Great place to take kids. There are interactive places for the kids. You can see fish and insects in habitats (obviously behind glass). Looking at the shuttle was pretty exciting. Also watching people use the bike across a line high up. They have a Food court. Restrooms.
King Tut exhibit was awesome! Expensive though. Space shuttle endeavour is amazing! We had fun! Go early so much to see!
Considerably too many people though the museum was great.
Very interesting place! Interactive and the best of all, it's free
Love the Science center Peter Wolf and me are members!!!!!!
Loved the exhibits but they lose points for lack of cleanliness. Truly dirty in almost all areas. We visited twice during the same month and it was consistently dirty.
Love this place..! Go any chance I get . Rather with my son or girlfriend or family .. sometimes I even go alone .. its just so peaceful.. sit in front of the massive aquarium and let all the bad things float away with the Waves..!
A great educational place for adults and children and school trips for education and education sailors space and earthquakes how to become and everything is very wonderful
Best thing about this place is the rose garden don't get me wrong every thing else is awesome but the garden is beyond amazing
Admission is free! Lots to see and do. My favorite is the biology and life section. My kids love this place, they never get tired of going. Handicap friendly, food court, souvenir store...Parking isnt free so be prepared to pay $12 to $14 depending on the day. Great experience, kids can have fun while learning alot about science
Beautiful place, neat, educational, and very good sample. It is more than recommended. There is a beautiful garden of roses.
Very entertaining science center. Lots of exhibits, along with traveling ones that vary. Parking is 12$, admission is free. To see the space shuttle it costs 3$ or is included with the purchase of an IMAX ticket. The shuttle is the best thing to see here by far!
They have wonderful exhibits and the location is free to go in.
For the science lover this is a great place. You can see the Endeavor and the only fuel tank for the space shuttle thaty didn't fly into space. Also you have many expositions for air and space, biology and ecology. Definitely have a field day, and take your young ones to learn about science.I am also adding some images from King tut's
We saw the King Tut exhibit King Kong Gemini Space Capsule
The museum is free with no compulsory Donation to maintain the place. The place is really clean and very entertaining for a science center
This place has many things to look at and it a great place to come.
Fun, but most exhibits are pretty outdated. The Pixar exhibit was great.
The exhibits need work. First time here in about three years and lots of exhibits weren't working properly. Some of the fish also looked neglected. Kinda sad.
The California Science Center always has the latest exhibits for what is going on in the Science World. It is quite large and they have a nice assortment of topics exhibited. Being in the city of Los Angeles also makes it convenient if you wanted to follow up and different field or discipline. The city has a lot to offer and this Gem of a museum is just one example of that.
We went to see the cool King Tut Exhibit, but were overwhelmed at the super size of the Space Shuttle sitting next door! The Kids will love the "Hurricane Booth Simulator" at the Science Center as well!
Beautiful place, great for everyone to visit and learn. The expos are quite interesting and always fun for the whole family.
It's a cool place to visit especially if you have kids. Some exhibits are a bit dated and cheesy, but still cool nonetheless
Great place for family fun or a date. Costs $12 to park but you get free entry and you can picnic.
King Tut exhibit was very good, although they needed more space for people to wander and take photos. So, they should either have a larger facility or further limit the number of tickets they sell. It was way too crowded, especially when I bought tickets over a month in advance!
Love this place it's my second home. I'm not just saying it because I work there but I grew up going to the museum with my parents and honestly it has only gotten better and for sure its continuing to grow. Expect more! Love science!!!!
Need things to keep the ankle biters busy? Have family from out of town or an afternoon all to yourself? Visit this museum, get some really cool info, see some fantabulous art. Love this place!
Awesome expositions, good for astronomy and science fans, good for children, general admittance is free, parking is expensive but you get all day parking for all museums, after lunch you don't have to schedule or pay to see the Endeavour spaceship. I loved it.
Great science museum to take kids to, even more amazing that it's free
To come to the California Science Center and see the space shuttle up close and personal is an incredible experience.
To add in an IMAX of the earth from space is amazing.
These two things alone are adequate to earn top ratings.
To then add in the other displays of satellites and flight machinery, make this a long remembered day.
Note that if you don't have a reservation for the shuttle (you need to make it in advance and online) you can use the IMAX ticket for entrance without a reservation.
Seeing the updated King Tut exhibit was beyond words! So many amazing artifacts adding to a story that is thousands of years old.
Not only amazing exhibits (which they are!), but also with amazing staff. At the Space Shuttle I spent hours talking to an elderly enthousiast who was there for questions and he had amazing stories and information. Besides the Space Shuttle there is an additional space exhibit. The Biology/Human Body exhibit is a little old, but still functional and the operation room is very cool. Didn't even get to see all the rest of the exhibits.
Great place for families! Very educational, and a highlight- viewing the space shuttle!
I dont think thaley take good care of the sea anemones.... Good for kids below yhe age of 10. Any higher and youre just getting basic knowledge and zooming past animals. Parts of the medical center are cool. I saw a lung surgery.
It was amazing! Got to see the body works exhibit. Need to go back and see everything else.
Great museum experience, and FREE! Lots to check out here. The Endeavor Orbiter is a ticketed exhibit, so we didn't visit this time, however there were tons of other hands on exhibits that engaged the younger members of our group.
Great museum. permanent and traveling exhibits are always worthwhile. Take the metro from west LA for an even better adventure. catch an iMax too
Very good, but not excellent. Many of the interactive exhibits are broken or otherwise out of service, but the operational ones are great will be improving (so I hear).
It's free to get in. The space shuttle is awesome. The giant fish tank is amazing. They don't let you fish in the giant tank or else I would give it 5 stars.....
Wonderful. Every room or place dedicated to a specific team is super loaded with information and fun. Excellent time to share with the family and friends. Thank you to all the stuff. They are great team members so smiling all time. Will come back pretty soon.
Very cool , and modern museum. The space shuttle Endeavor is a must see!!
King Tut exhibit was incredible! Even with the screaming, running school kids!! (LOL) As always, the staff exhibited grace under pressure!
The science center is a nice interesting experience. The displays were really informative and the endeavor was cool
The prize of the space the teaching of the trips into space
What's in the ocean
Adults enjoy. children excited to see their unknown.
