I was in Cumberland for two days to start my GAP voyage. Day one at Cafe Mark started with the best cappuccino I have ever had. The breakfast sandwich I partook of next blew my mind as well. The next Morning I had to come back, the cravings for delectable coffee drinks was driving me insane. The French toast breakfast was awe inspiring, but I could not get enough of the amazing breakfast treats. The next breakfast sandwich I had was equally delicious. I want to come back to Cumberland again not only for the GAP trail but for Cafe Mark. The Cafe is located right off of the GAP!

Good coffee, tasty baked goods, friendly staff, comfy couches, and a unique environment with a loft area. The music was a bit loud for my taste, but a good selection of chill pop and blues rock made up for that.

I'm not even going to give this place much of a review besides Don't go there unless you want to feel as though you are beneath the man who owns this place! He will call you names yell at you and his employees infront of anyone. I heard him More

Wonderful atmosphere for one. Nice old building with comfortable cafe centric table area and a loft spot for lounging with couches. Music is perfect. Food is a little expensive but won't disappoint. Highly recommend, one of my favorite places to go out to in Cumberland.

Great Breakfast. Crab soup was excellent. Really great coffee, too. Brisk walk around Downtown Cumberland topped it off. The makings of a wonderful morning during these strange and subdued times.

I'm originally from NH, and I'm used to Dunkin Donuts coffee (super light and super sweet) so I was pretty broken up when I realized there wasn't a Dunkins around here. My boyfriend told me about Cafe Mark, we went to try it and I was surprised that I actually enjoyed it since the coffee wasn't extremely sweet. My only complaint is the hours, I work a really late shift, I do not get up until late afternoon and that means I seriously only get coffee from here maybe once or twice a month, but that's my problem for having a super late shift. I recommend 100%

The food was good but none of the employees in the restaurant seemed like they wanted to do their jobs. The wait to order was 15 minutes and there were only 2 people in front of us. The wait for our food was even worse. Especially considering all the items on the menu should not require much prep time, the wait was completely uncalled for.

Stopping through here from Ohio (during COVID 19). Staff were friendly. I ordered the blueberry crunch french toast and added sliced bananas; it is the best I've ever had. Amazing.
However, my bf's ScramBowled seemed like the salt shaker fell into it and he was unable to finish his food.
Biggest complaint is the 40 minutes we waited for our food...

The Sunday breakfast specials are always great, and the Sweet Baked French Toast is a must have. They also have awesome coffee drinks. The food can be a little costly and for a $13 breakfast I'd like to see them not using generic cheese and other items.

A nice coffee shop! Cozy atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. We were not expecting to wait for over 30 minutes for our food, but we had a cup of very good coffee and drinks while we waited. This was surprising, considering it did not seem like a busy time, as seen in the pictures. The smoothies were delicious, but with way too much added sugar for our taste. I had a good breakfast burrito that I was not expecting to taste sweet as well. My children loved the pancakes! We would definitely come back if we are in the area again.

Love this place! Relaxing atmosphere, exceptional coffee with many choices... the barista was fabulous. They also have hot teas and other drink choices as well for those that prefer something else to drink with their lunch.
Also, there were lots of fresh made to order sandwiches, paninis and other delicious items including fresh homemade desserts ...
Stop by have a cup of coffee, you will be glad you did

During our two night stay at Cumberland we ate at this place 3 times, two for breakfast, once for lunch. For our first breakfast I had Crispy French Toast with Blueberries. OMG! It was delicious. The French Toast was crispy because it had received a light oatmeal coating. It came to the table drizzled with melted sugar and lots of fresh blueberries. That same day, we came back for lunch. I had one of the specials, spinach artichoke grilled cheese sandwich. It had a bit of a kick to it and it was absolutely one of the best grilled cheese sammies I had ever had. We came back for breakfast the next day and they were offering pumpkin pie oatmeal. The chefs in this coffee shop surely could teach a thing or two to a lot of those other so-called sandwich places. I wish they were just around the corner.

We enjoyed our Hot coffee, wonderful scone and great coffee cake! The service is superb!!! In fact, I unfortunately hit the table leg with my knee, resulting in my wife's Black Cherry latte with soy covering her. Ugh, leave it to the husband to really change the mood of a coffee date. Anyway, they quickly helped to clean up the mess and even replaced her latte at no charge. While that didn't get me out of the dog house, it did wonders for her attitude, after a clean pair of pants she was even willing to call me her husband again. I'm a happy man!!!!!!!

A jewel in Cumberland MD. I visited this place on Father's Day. They were crowded but the service was good and the wait was short. I ordered the "Scrambowl" which well seasoned and tasty. I would recommend this place for breakfast.

Contrary to other opinions, I did not have a pleasant experience here.

It took 20 minutes to get two regular coffees.

Ordered a "panini" sandwich for ~$8, expecting something quality and large enough to justify price (and stomach). Received a paltry excuse for a sandwich which was barely filled with content, on the wrong bread (was not a panini).

The staff took a long time to complete tasks. I could see other customers regrettably waiting around, pensive and peeved.

The atmosphere looks nice, but they played loud indie music all the time, which made folks feel a bit rushed, nervous, and on-edge. I even talked to another customer who said she wished they would change the music to something more relaxing.

When requested the ownership to give feedback, the staff said they were off that day, despite the new staff "on training". It seems there needs to be more management oversight. The staff were trying as hard as they could. I chalk my bad experience up to lack of management oversight.

I regretted spending my hard-earned dollars here. Wish I would have spent it elsewhere.

Average quality for high prices. The only positives are wi-fi and nice decor. Otherwise, the place is basically BS.

Where is the management?!?

Went there for the coffee, but should have got food. The coffee was good - I'd go back if I was in the area, but not really anything to write home about. But as I was waiting for my coffee, they kept bringing food out that looked really good. If I'm back in the area I won't wait till after breakfast to go and I'll eat there next time.

Great food, coffee drinks, and overall atmosphere. Cafe Mark has that cozy coffee shop/diner feel. I walk in and I feel like im walking into my own kitchen on a rainy Sunday. There's even a little library nook in the top left so that you can eat or work in peace if you chose to.
