Cadence Music Review

The owner is extremely rude and the employees are incompetent. I usually go to Mostly Music in North Fort Myers because the owner is nicer and knowledgeable about all instruments. he is not just out to make a quick buck by ripping off students. I am going to try First note in the Cape next because I heard, from a music teacher, they are less expensive and more honest than Cadence.

Cadence music is the most professional music store in SWFL. They always have what you need and more and have all of the knowledge to help; from a beginner to professional.

I had a great experience at Cadence: kind and knowledgeable people (especially Todd) in a warm and friendly shop. If I lived a bit closer, I would be a regular customer. I made a special trip to see an instrument, and it was worth every mile I drove.

My parents Forgot to pay but they are working on it and i hope i get my instrument back. But this is a good place.

I have had several reasons to visit Cadence. First was a couple of repairs on my double bass. Alex is a master and repairs were done well, and reasonably priced and quickly. (One repair had a deadline which he met.) Then I was in the market for a new clarinet. Todd took the time to work with me and talk me through the pros and cons of the clarinets I looked at and played. This is a great music store and I highly recommend them. They have a great team.

Friendly and helpful staff, and an amazing harp teacher who makes lessons fun for my five-year-old. My daughter has progressed a lot and looks forward to her lessons!

Shake the haters off because you guys are awesome plus you know my music teacher cool. Their just mad that they can't do half the stuff you guys can do have fun don't let people bring you down 5 stars.

We bought a 3/4 violin for my boyfriend's son last year and couldn't be happier. Not only is the instrument perfect for our needs, but it was so great that we adults started enjoying it and are about to go pick up our adult 4/4 violin today! The entire staff was more than helpful with all of my many questions and they were even nice enough to help us place the training tape locations on the neck. Im so excited to start my adult journey with my violin from Cadence Music! Thank you so much! We will be back for sure :)

Super helpful, excellent customer service! They are a part of the local music community, so they knew exactly what my son needed (I'm not a musician, but I felt perfectly comfortable). My son is thrilled to be starting high school with his step-up instrument! This is the beginning of a long-term relationship for our low brass needs!

Very disrespectful... lost my instrument and blamed it on my behalf. They said they wanted $1,000 for something they lost.

I am a professional oboist in southeast and southwest Florida. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cadence Music to have my instrument repaired. From the moment I walked into the shop, I felt welcomed and at home. The staff is extremely courteous and are eager to help you with your needs. My instrument was repaired by Todd H., a wonderful tubist and absolute wizard of a repair person! I provided a list of issues I was encountering and he followed it to the letter checking everything I listed, while correcting issues that I did not list. Words will never be enough to thank him for his ability, talent, and zest for musical instruments to be in tip-top shape! I was also able to see the other repair technicians hard at work, diligently and respectfully handling the instruments in their charge. Very few shops of Cadence Music s quality exist and in my opinion, they should be the standard by which others are measured.

Exceptional place! Family owned business. Excellent stop for prospering, skilled, accomplished musicians. My boys play the drums, Saxophone, and the Trombone . We have a daughter as well. If she sparks a musical interest, than we will return to Cadence Music, Inc. Thank you for the proffesionalism and great customer service!

Todd and Chris were amazing. Todd helped my son try numerous thrombones and borrow them to find the perfect instrument for him. We appreciate all that care and attention. We will be back.

I have a Selmer Mark VI alto. I used to play it a lot in my younger years. I've never stopped, but slowed down a lot, playing once every couple of months or so. I knew it needed pads and tweaking. I dropped it off at Cadence on a Monday, and by the following Monday, without receiving a quote, went it to pick it up. I was a little upset that I hadn't gotten a call back and was going to take it to Tampa to get it serviced.

That's when I met Todd. He apologized for not calling and that he wanted to speak to me face to face. He realized what a beautiful sax was in his presence. He wanted to make sure I realized it. We talked at length about what needed to be done, what should be done and what could be done.

I realized during that meeting, that he really cared about MY sax. Really. I told him to make it play like silk again... and boy did he! Tonight, I put it through the drill. I can play the low B-flat just as softly as I want and it responds. I can play the higher registers just as easily. It flows, it's quiet again, and I am a very, very happy sax player. The only limitations this sax has is mine!

Thank you Todd for caring about my sax. I'm glad you took your time, as anxious as I was to get it back, I wouldn't change a thing. You have a true fan here. I will come back to you and recommend Cadence Music for any musician who has a high quality instrument at their fingertips. These guys get it!

Wanted to start playing my trumpet again, what better way than to buy a
shiny new trumpet from Cadence Music. Chris N. was who helped me and
with great patience and professionalism on his part, led me to the horn that
was the right one for me. I had a very pleasant morning at their store and
everyone was very nice. They also can service instruments. I highly recommend
Cadence Music.

My best memories of school are of band and my wife and I have enjoyed
going to marching band competition s in SW Florida many years. Hope that
band and music will remain a strong commitment in our community s and
for young people to start their best memories.

Be Very careful with this company. They charged me for a Rental on a snare drum that i never saw or even asked for. They said they delivered the drum to a Middle school for my son and the school knew nothing about a drum. Cadence then sent me to collections for $800.00, I found out about the drum from the collection company. FRAUD

I was looking for a flute and Todd had the flutes in stock that I wanted to try. He was extremely helpful on the phone. I went into the store and spent quite a bit of time playing them; they were very helpful and I was able to find a wonderful flute that I am so happy with. Their prices are very competitive. I really appreciate being able to buy my flute locally and help a local business.

I ve been a happy Cadence customer for almost ten years. They offer products for all musicians at all levels; the skill and expertise of their staff are also top-notch. But today I was reminded of another aspect that sets them apart: the level of service they provide.

I ve brought my Alexander 103 French horn to Cadence several times for cleaning and repair. Always very thorough and a quick turn around too! Everyone is also very friendly and knowledgeable.

Fixed my flute up all nicely, along with a great price.

I wanted a new flute but didn't know what I wanted. Gregg patiently and happily presented 5 flutes for me to try in a private room, educating me all the while. Eventually I played 3 different flutes and the entire staff voted which one they thought sounded best. It was a blind test and no one knew but me which was which. They all, my hubby, and secretly me, chose the Gemeinhardt 33SB, also on sale and NOT the most expensive. Win/Win. I'm 67 yrs old and have been playing my original flute, occasionally professionally, since I was 8. Great experience and I trusted them implicitly. You won't be sorry!

After considerable research to locate and then discuss my needs with a competent repair facility, I left my Elkhart Conn 88H trombone with Todd at Cadence in North Ft Myers FL. There were hand slide issues that were largely masked to me due to built up tension in the end crook and inner and outer slide parallelism. There was also a small dent that was mirrored in inner and outer slides that required lots of burnishing. Additionally the rotary valve was removed, realigned etc and main screw replaced that was hanging by a thread. Slide and rotary valve then ultrasonically cleaned. Huge improvement now in how the horn responds and sounds.

I am a retired HS Band Director and play professionally through SW FL. This horn is a main workhorse for many venues. Todd put much time into my complicated repair and refurb. I would recommend Cadence Music services to any colleague.

We just picked up our daughters first trumpet ! They were so kind and patient with her. They explained everything and made the whole experience awesome. Greg is so kind and awesome with kids.

During the quarantine, I decided to work on an old dream - learning to play the harp. Cadence Music had in stock the brand and style harp I most want to play, and delivered it too. Everyone I spoke with was professional, efficient, and kind.

The Cadence Music employees are my favorite people! They have someone knowledgeable about every aspect of band and orchestra instruments, along with a full repair shop. It's hard to find a music store like this anywhere else!

I had my oboe fixed there about a month ago and when I got it back it was still broken and it cost $150 originally for them to do nothing to it, but on the bright side they polished the keys so then it made it look like they actually fixed my instrument

I just had a great text interaction with Cadence music. They were able to answer all my questions and more quickly and easily via text. It was great to be able to interact with a real human, let alone a specialist who knows what they re talking about. Great customer service!

From a public school music teacher standpoint, Cadence is super easy to contact if I ever have questions, need repairs, and/or music. As a professional musician, Cadence has supplies I need quickly (and don t have time to wait for shipping schedules) for reasonable prices. Their staff is very knowledgeable about all types of instruments/music, and are willing to go the extra mile to help their customers. I would recommend any musician of any level make Cadence their first stop for their music-related needs!

Everyone at Cadence is nice and willing to help you out where they can. I've gotten many tune ups done here over the years, as well as mouthpiece purchases, books, reeds, instruments. No complaints, would recommend visiting.

I was given a baritone horn that was playing very sharp. I called Cadence and they came to car, got horn and made diagnosis. They gave me several options for a new /used horn and so wonderful. I never left my vehicle. I haven t had such great customer service in YEARS!!! These employees (Luke and ???) were incredible!

I broke a clarinet and without a problem the next day Cadence Music picked it up and fixed it very fast about 4 days and while it was being fixed I got a loner...GREAT EXPERIENCE

Great repair place, had my horn bell crushed, and they fixed it and cleaned it. It's my go to place.

My French horn got a major dent in the bell and it needed to be fixed immediately. Luckily they were able to fix it quickly and gave it a much needed cleaning, well over due and I m extremely happy with the service I received. Thanks!

During the Pandemic, I wanted to buy a keyboard to relearn the piano. I had lots of questions and wanted to buy local. I chose Cadence Music in Ft. Myers. They were a Yamaha Dealer and that is what I wanted. Cadence Music allowed me to pick up the things I wanted To purchase in a safe manner following all the CDC guidelines.

I will say they have made an extrodianary effort to correct the issues we had. They have a fair rent to own program. The only reason I am rating 4 stars is because it did take some time. Overall make sure you are very clear what you want and what you will get
