Great place to take the kids , and the mom's and dad's.
Great for kids. Not as much there as there used to be for adults
You have to book online to avoid disappointments just in case they are sold out... esp during term and school holidays... sad that they dont entertain if u haven't booked online & if it is sold out.
Very expensive for what you get. A lot of waiting and some of the stuff there was a bit weird and naff
What an amazing day for chocolate lovers, then to top it the amazing shop could've bought everything
Shocking the chocolate is out of date rude staff horrible prices crappie rides wodent recommended
Almost closing time, doors were unlocked & we were welcomed in with visitors anxious to visit before returning to Singapore the following day. A big thank you to all staff concerned for your kindness!
This place is designed to bring out the child in adults and makes all age groups feel the same age. As close to Willy Wonkas Chocolate factory in real life. Only complaint is there should be more selection on sale in the shop there. But over all a very well worth while experience
Great for young kids, might be a bit dated for grown ups
Great day out especially for kids. Shame the production area is now closed. Price should be reduced and many areas haven't been updated since the venue first opened.
It was very nice and I loved all the different places in the factory. The 4D experience was very cool as well.
It a good place to visit make sure u have lots of money for the cadburys shop in especially if u have kids with you I think once u have been in seen Cadburys world I wouldn't go again but they do give out loads of free chocolate bars cadburys caramel, wipers and dairy milks plus u also get a little pot of chocolate in 2 toppings as u are going around the attraction in have a playground/park for the kids to play
very educational and also plenty of fun for kids . cafe excellent . staff friendly and very helpful
Fantastic day out, the kids really enjoyed. Ideal time to visit as social distancing measures means it wasn't busy and virtually zero queuing!. Aug 2020
This was our third visit to Mr Cadbury's gaff and its an ideal place to visit with or without children ! I prefer to take my granddaughter and we had a whale of a time, the tour of the factory is very interesting with interactive themes going on, freebie chocolate and a good children's playground. Well worth a visit
Absolutely brilliant. I have never left a place feeling like I had my money s worth. Booking another trip after covid
A great place for the family, a little bit to educated for the young children though. For the little ones, there's a play area outside, face painting, free hand outs of chocolate as you go around, a few activities for the children to do indoors, on site restaurant and gift shop, however, the prices are a little bit more expensive than your local supermarket.
Was great but I would have liked to see the chocolate being made
Interesting tour and insight into the family history
Good place to visit. The best part is you get lots of chocolate when you walk around
It was just ok. The machines were no longer working so it was a but sad. Expensive for what you get.
A decent day out though trying to buy lunch gave up after 15 mins waiting (only 1 staff member)
Not really a chocolate factory, more a day out aimed at children.
Watched a 10 min film about the history/making of chocolate, queued 40 mins to have a photo taken on a backdrop(!), walked a round a packaging area that was no longer operating, went on a kids ride and at the end had some chocolate and watched demonstrations (the most interesting bit).
There's a play area and magic show outside.
If you want to see chocolate being made, this isn't the place.
Great experience with the kids. Loved to tour and activities.
A Wonderful and unique experience to Cadbury world. A great day outing for kids. 4D experience is awesome. Must visit. A small chocolate museum is good. And best part lot of chocolate to eat.
I was really disappointed with Cadbury World. You used to be able to see production and allowed onto the factory floor. It s a pretty poor day out these days. The history talks at the start are interesting but the rest is just gimmicky and like a theme park. It was and could be still so much more. Extremely disappointing.
We have been before, great to see where its all made, good safety measures in place, lots and lots of sanitisation stations.
Wasn't worth money, was better few years back when took older kids who are late teens now.
Lovely experience... more different flavours would be appreciated
Fabulous day for all the family! Was there about 4.5 hours. Lots of free chocolate! Great outdoor play area room would advise to book in to get there early during school holidays.
I remember seeing Cadbury World on one of those Facebook videos a few years ago. It looked like a real life Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. So I marked it down as one the places I'd want to go to if/when I visited the UK.
Fast forward to 2017 to my first visit to the UK, and my friends and I specifically made Cadbury one of the stops on our trip. We found out about their BOGO Thursday deal, which if you call ahead and book your tickets for a Thursday after 1 pm, the tickets were BOGO free. It worked out perfectly because there were four of us.
According to the person who took my ticket order, we would just miss all of the school kids, which was not true AT ALL. Every where we turned, there were hoards and hoard of school kids. But I'm not really complaining about this, since I pretty much expected it either way. I guess I was just a little disappointed that you don't actually get to see the factory line making chocolate (ever since they were bought by Mondelez). Cadbury is pretty just a self-tour museum of the history of their chocolate.
I definitely wouldn't recommend going out of the way to visit (like we had with our 2-hour total trek), but if you're in the area, it might be worth checking out.
Set in tje beaytiful area of Bournville, this area is full of history. Worth a walk around and worth the chocolate!
Very nice and cheap souvenir and chocolate shop. But the factory is pretty expensive to visit.
Disabled access is excellent and all areas are accessible including the ride. The experience is ok. Several background films. The 4D film was not 4D! It was just a film with a shaky bench and a couple of puffs of air - not quite up there. The little ride is sweet and there's plenty of chocolate handed out. The hands on stuff is a little tame and you have to queue. It wasn't busy when we went but I imagine it would be a nightmare when it is. And probably not worth it! I would have liked more opporrunity to see chocolate being made and to see machinery in action. Like proper workings of the factory. Not just empty corridors- a little pricey for what it is. Good for small kids though.
It was really fun and quite well priced. It was an educational and interactive experience.
Thought it would be better than what it was. Viewed a couple of short movies, then queued for ages to go round on a car that looked at beans dancing and playing. The queue for the 4d cinema was way to long (over an hour wait) we didn't bother with having 2 young kids (under 5). Disappointed.
brilliant day out, kids would of preferred more interactive activities... all the history information was told through video projection characters... the use of live actors on stage acting out the parts would of entertained alot more
We had such a fun day out at Cadbury World. Every part of the tour was interesting and interactive. The 4D experience was a laugh too. We went in with a group of comp children and they made the experience hilarious. We also booked the Cadbury afternoon tea which was delicious. Very filling so we had to take some away with us in boxes. We spent 4 hours in Cadbury World in total and definitely got our moneys worth. Also bought some lovely gifts in the shop.
Great tour loved the 4d ride
Shame the shop prices were high and to expensive.
Would of liked to see production maybe from glass fronted room.
can't wait to visit again, the chocolate easter eggs are very cheap minus the boxes (just in foil) around easter too
I visited Cadbury world in 2009 with my husband and my two stepchildren and we all loved it. We were given loads of chocolate, were able to see lots around the factory on how chocolate is made etc. We returned this November with our 7 year old. But it was nothing like before. Very disappointed that we didn't see much (they stopped the tour in the real part of the factory where you could see the big vats full of runny chocolate etc) and didn't get much chocolate either! Come on Cadbury don't be stingy kids love the experience of getting their bag filled up on every corner!
I would not return in a rush unless I came across tickets sold at a bargain price!
We had a good day but it wasnt worth the money. I went when i was in school 20 years ago and it was 100 times better back then.
Not what I expected, and very long queues all throughout, but kids enjoyed it
Really enjoyable day out.. lots of free chocolate and some lovely touches around the place.
A fantastic place to visit. It's a shame it has got ride off some of the history of the place explaining the community and grounds.
Been back a few times, bit tight on samples first time there but made up for it on the next. The tour is great and you do learn a lot about how Cadbury made themselves. Do go to the theatre option too as you get to make your own creation of More
Great place to visit in the summer holiday with the kids. Make sure to book your tickets online. NHS staff get discounts so make sure to use your bluecard if you have one. The tour was a lot better than I expected. Nice little themed areas as you walk around various bits of the building. As previous people have mentioned you get 3 bars of cholocate. We had a crunchie/ oreo & bat of milk chocolate. Young children also get given a find fredo to do as you walk around. If you had this in at the end of the tour they get a little fredo treasure chest which contains a small creature and a packet of buttons. Roughly half way round you get a small sample cup of liquid cholocate with 2 toppings of your choice. I can recommend the fudge and biscuit toppings. The entire first tour took us just under 2 hours and we took our time. The holographic displays with little stories lines were well done. Also enjoyed the monkey playing the drums in the room with the animotronic dj room (in the advertising section) . So make sure you don't miss that because he is hidden behind some darkened glass until selected. Nice interactive screens etc dotted around. Don't forget to visit the excellent kids play area around the back and also just off there is the 4d ride which was probably the best bit of the entire visit. Also next to the kids play area is a food kiosk which serves the usual burgers and fried etc. So if your hungry it's a good place to grab something. In total we were there for 3 and a half hours. Also worth mentioning how polite and helpful the staff were. Would highly recommend
Good day out. Good panto and santa show for kids. Very busy but kept moving.
Not worthy of money... It's too expensive ... Nothing fun with kids there
Amazing highly recommended it to anyone who has kid or just wants to go and enjoy the history behind Cadbury it self
Fun day out but would have liked to have seen more of the actual manufacturing!
Most sweetest place in the world!! Tasting hot chocolate is must.
Good fun but lots of waking, make sure you don't miss the 4D cinema that's included in your ticket
Great day out, children are ranges 16-9-5-4 they really enjoyed spent the whole day there it was great x
I love this place but it's gone a little down hill over the years. I so wanted to give this 5 stars but with certain attractions closed, I can only award three.
Good to spend about 2 hours here but thought we would see more chocolate making than lots of kids rides.
Went with family of 9 including wheel chair user and carer absolutely 5 star care from all staff on arriving was given badge to wear round neck and collected wheel chair fast tracted and helped by staff through every section of tour and rides all of group included every section was accessible to wheel chair I felt special and spoilt I've never encountered a place that treats disabled customers so well big thank you Cadbury world 5 ++++++++***** lovely day had by all
Brilliant went for my daughter's birthday and the staff was great and my daughter absolutely loved it
Loved it! Fab day out! Got given chocolate at the start then liquid chocolate about half way round. Staff were great. Would recommend visiting here. Lots of things to keep kids interested including a ride and an opportunity to write with chocolate!
