Had an amazing time with my daughter her definitely recommend it
Had an amazing time with my daughter her definitely recommend it
Overpriced, no real focus, is it for young kids or older, bit all over the place. They give out chocolate every other stop mostly out of guilt for charging so much to get in. The historic part of the tour could be so good but they have tried and failed to make it entertaining. The history is what it is just tell it. A shame as could be so good.
1st time here very well organised. short and informative segments for the kids. Lots of freebie Choco! A kids heaven. They loved it.
Good day for the kids, but didn't like being trapped in certain rooms while you listen to the history
An interesting story of religion, business and philanthropy that results in all the household chocolates that we know so well. The visit is well organised and keeps kids entertained. Lots of hands on. Modern facilities within part of the historic factory. Worth the money.
Fun experience for the whole family. Lots of chocolate to enjoy throughout the tour. Fairly busy with school groups on a Wednesday morning. I imagine that weekends might be much worse.
Great experience, loads of chocolate (3 free bars and cup of it melted with two toppings). Very informative about the history of chocolate and the factory. Can imagine it will be very busy in the summer.
Great experience for kids especially the hand on chocolate making.
Very good tour of the factory and history of Cadbury has easy parking and at the moment there's the 4d mini movie it's an amazing experience and worth the wait. As you walk around you are given some chocolate bars. You also get it create your own chocolate mix pot which is amazing I had a mix if popping candy with chrunhie in melted chocolate.
Wonderful trip with grandchildren aged 4, 6 and 8. They loved it. Plenty to do and see and engage with, and the mini pantomime (only in summer hols I think) was such fun. Not posting photos as they mostly include our grandchildren. It was quite dear but we definitely recommend it. Make sure you pre book and go for as early a time as possible. The queues for getting in (prebooked tickets included) were very long. We were glad we had arrived when it opened.
Brilliant day. Brilliant value for money. Soo much chocolate.
Haven't been for at least 15 years, pre-children...and boy has it changed!!!
Came yesterday with my 6 and 8 year olds and husband, biggest kid of all...
We all agree that it was amazing! Really educational, fun and interactive
Great fun for all ages - a definite go see x
It was really good and we had a lot of free chocolate
Really good fun, lots of free chocolate along the way which was a bonus! Didn't think it was very expensive either - the shop at the end was also really reasonable! The staff were lovely and although it was a little busy due to Easter Hols I didn't think it was that bad :) would definitely recommend.
Great day, very interesting and chocolate writing was a big hit with grand children
Awesome place to take your little ones, however when we went it was covered in beavers.
Take alcohol gel with you, sticky fingers get everywhere.
Loved the place .....if you are here should not miss it....kids love the place excellent experience for everyone .....you have so many options of chocolate that you can't imagine and the best part is the history behind it. They really make you feel special with diffrent touches and games for the kids they have planned.... as a hole one of the best places to visit with kids and a life time experience don't miss the pictures as well
Fun activities and s fair amount of free chocolate. Quite a long queue for the 4D cinema though.
Good for chocolate lovers an a variety of exhibitions. Best bit was the demonstration area, but the cababra ride was not worth queueing up for.
What a rip off, the cadbury tour was garbage, they give a few choc bars to ease the pain, try to pack too many people in, get to look at some non working machines, expected to see the factory in full swing, then get to see a few people finishing some chocs off, overall a total dis-appointment, this is not how it used too be
Fantastic piece of local heritage situated in a lovely area. Would highly recommend a tour of the factory, very Charlie and the chocolate factory esque - not to mention the cheap chocolate in the gift shop!
So we fantastic place to go kids loved it and so did I
I was surprised that the factory visit was simply a climb up stairs to see chocolate being boxed through perspex window. I could see more on YouTube. The best bit was the 4D cinema. The shop was selling discount chocolate but lacked many favourites. Perhaps I missed the point but I was underwhelmed. Even getting the tickets was only achieved by calling a 0844 number that turned out quite expensive. Struck me as a very commercial exercise in stark contrast to its Quaker origins. My children thoroughly enjoyed it so I should be grateful I suppose.
A great family day out, the kids loved it. Well set out & I found the history side of it very interesting as my grand parents worked there. It can be very busy at weekends & of course school holidays. But overall well worth a visit.
We were very excited to visit over the Easter holidays. We arrived 15 mins early and the staff left many children and babies outside in the pouring rain until it opened at 9am. Lots had babies in arms and staff were just chatting whilst we More
Was a little disappointed
Being a factory I thought they may if had a secure level where you could walk around above the workings of the making of chocolate bars etc or whatever was being produced on the day but this was not the case...it had a few stations where you can draw with chocolate or tamper chocolate or even a few stages areas... but overall it was very focused on entertainment for children including a small ride ... it was an ok and was really excited about visiting but just disappointed about the overall experience...
It's chocolate, what's not to like. Only negative is there are no Oompa Loompa's.
After two emails sent complaining over two months later & still no reply just sums Cadburys up!! Looks like going on social media n putting photos on is the only answer. Never will have their over priced products again...
A great day out for young and old. Very interactive for kids and a good lesson in chocolate history for the older ones, recommended visit
Cadbury world experience was great! The set up (due to covid) was very easy to follow and staff were most friendly. Very well organised and the demonstrations, tasting and shop were brilliant. I just wish Cadbury made more of the dark chocolate ;)
So worth while and such a great experience. Can't wait to do it again.
Absolute rubbish. I previously visited Cadbury World when it was owned by Cadbury. Then it was a great experience. Last week I took my family, the tour is no more than a money making, marketing exercise, dumbed down to such a low level that my six year old son, in his own words called it a waste of time. The tour lacks in reason and detail, it s pointless.
Great place to explore the whole world of chocolate. Great for kids and adults
Been many a time. Good educational tour. And tasty samples
A great place to visit, very interesting for kids and adults alike. Didn't get time to visit the surrounding streets of Bournville, but did come away with lots of chocolate from the very reasonably priced shop (the largest Cadbury Store in the World).
Fabulous day spent at Cadburys World...fun, lots of interesting facts, and of course lots of chocolate...two daughters, 8 and 11 had a fab time.
Fantastic day out with or without children, very interesting .
You have to book online for access, sessions were all sold out for the day we visited unfortunately. We visited the gift shop which was very busy, and we made our purchases and left.
It was a fun day out, however it's very much geared towards kids - this is of course expected but it would have been nice to have a few more things for adults to do...
It was an amazing experience to write in chocolate and to find out the history of the Cadbury chocolate
It was ok, some free chocolate but visited about 10 year prior and has become more of an attraction than a chocolate factory. As did not really get to see the factory on the tour now. However children loved it
When coming from Bournville Station there are no signs telling where to go
Absolutely loved it. Went with family and we all want to go again.
Fab day out. Haven't been for many years and some new things as well as old favourites. Could do with a tea/coffee kiosk at some point around the tour (by the ice cream stand) as all the chocolate made me thirsty!
Surprised how good it was, main car ride was broken and chocolate is thrown at every problem (good/bad you can choose). Overall would go again. Prices good in shop
Good family day out. Plenty to keep all ages happy.
Well sign posted free and disabled parking very friendly staff a pleasant day out for kids and family. Definitely a must for a rainy day during the holidays. Book in advance to make sure you can walk straight in. The complete walk through experience will probably take about 3hrs if you stop and play with every thing. Longer if really busy.
Great place to visit with children. Lots of activities in and out. The only downside is that I thought we'd actually see how the chocolate is made. It's not really a factory visit but more of an attraction visit by the factory.
Great afternoon with the family 4D cinema was amazing
Visited in the worst day due to high winds and rain. Myself, sister and niece travelled from London had to walk to Cadbury World which took about 15 minutes but I really do think that there should be some sort of shuttle bus from Bournville station to the actual exhibition venue. However once you're there you're immediately given a handful of chocolate bars. The self-guided tour takes about two hours, the kids and even bigger kids can temper chocolate and write in liquid chocolate. You can go on the Cadabra ride which is a bit like mini cars that go round a largish room and has singing choco beans. You're then guided, rather conveniently, into the gift shop where there is a myriad of gifts and chocolate you can buy. There is also a 4D cinema that the kids will love. There's a play area outside for the kids to burn off the chocolate they've eaten. You can also have photos done against a green screen. My niece loved the whole thing and declared it the best day ever.
it was ok for my sisters just a little boring for older kids
IMO, not the best of tours. Quite a bit of money when our 4 year olds opinion was that the playground was the best bit.
We thought we will see real factory with checolate huge machinery, but was very simple just historical information
A fun day out for the family, just make sure you book in advance.
It was just okay, would not hurry back. Even my 8 year old was not too impressed and could not wait to leave. It is expensive for the experience!
You pay lots of money expecting it to be really good and how they make chocolate but you go there and it s full of depressed 18 year olds looking for money and it s really not fun for people over 8years old (I went there when I was young and it was actually good free chocolate and stuff but it s only a Oreo bar and a dairy milk bar now sadly) it s just a rushing runaround organised and way to overpriced for what it really is worth. The only good thing is the shop cheep chocolate haven
Found it surprisingly interesting if catered more to the kiddies
Meh, dated but didn't expect much more. Chocolate though
First time visit loved every thing, my Son loved his first time as well.
So much to do the kids had an amazing time thank you
My experience could have been better. A tad pricey for what it is.
Fantastic day out see the story of chocolate and how Cadbury was set up. Free chocolate given out around the factory tour a d a 4D show plus a playground for the children. Well worth a visit especially the factory shop where you can bag some bargains.
A Fun place to see the history of cadbury, and get lots of free chocolate, takes about 2 to 3 hours
Really fun tourist attraction for the family a nice day out
Used to be OK but now just an expensive walk round an empty building
I
