We had a really good day at Cadbury World, where the tour coordination is very good, avoiding congestion and long queues..(except for the 4D Chocolate Adventure which is very popular and some queuing can't be avoided).
Prior to our visit I was temporarily incapacitated due to a back/hip injury, but was able to borrow one of a limited number of wheelchairs from Reception and found excellent accessibility to the whole tour, with special arrangements and staff available to assist throughout the day.
All in all, a great value for money day out...grateful thanks to all the staff who made our visit so enjoyable.
Very enjoyable. Went early so although was busy it wasn't manic, very informative and interesting. Kept both kids and the adults entertained, we all got three bars of chocolate each and a taste of the liquid chocolate. The souvenir shop wasn't actually that expensive really.
We are planning a trip to Cadbury World,, well a trip down memory lane really. My children went to Bournville Infant and Juniors School. Its been 13 years since our last visit. So really hoping it is as, if not better than before. I will let you Know.....The five stars are for past experience!!!!
I found the experience to be extremely dated, we spent more time queuing for the very poor 'ride' than anything else.
Thought this was going to be boring. Once Inside, you are given free chocolate. All children are given a quiz to find different creatures, which we also enjoyed doing, you are herded into different zones to listen to how chocolate came about, to my surprise this was enjoyable. Lots of activities for adults and children. Park outside was fantastic. Good, though food not so Good, only one place to buy and it was all fast food that was not so fast in coming. BEST PART seeing Grandson laughing at the monkey playing the drums and much more.
Terrible, huge queues with terrible organisation. Kids were bored. Overrated and expensive.
Interesting history to be learnt about Cadbury and free chocolate. Happy days
I went on a similar chocolate tour in Florida, but that place can't hold a candle to the wonderfully organised and informative tour we had at Cadbury's World.
Will recommend it to all my family and friends, again thank you Cadburys world for a very enjoyable day
Online booking cheaper. Child friendly chocolate making experience shown and mini theatre show and they have outside a playing section for children and eating and sitting area too.
Unpleasant. It leads it's paying patrons through slow congested rooms, like sheep to a slaughter. No freedom to carry on through, just more congested rooms after another. In my experience, the best chocolate factories are those that allow it's guests to move from one big open space to another at their own free will. Cadbury World however, and most of England for that matter, finds it normal to control the flow of EVERYTHING! If you're a conformist you'll enjoy this place, but if you're like me and want to create your own unique experience, then be prepared to find disappointment.
Rubbish now. Used to be more interesting and they gave u more free chocolate before.
Love it when we don t really have to queue for a long time as we can book the tickets and choose the time ourselves. Not much time wasted in queuing. Good price for tickets too as there s free chocolates given to us.
Had an absolute brilliant time with Mr granddaughter who is 8. We loved it
Great place for anyone.to enjoy chocolate awesomely yummy
Good but not what I expected. Kids get a bit bored with all the talking. Needs more child related things
Absolutely loved it a great day out for all the family.
Really friendly staff happy to help recommend the sooty and sweep show really fun for all the family would go again
Can be lots of fun for children as they have lots of attractions, however you don't actually get to see any real chocolate being made
There isn't alot to do, it's good if you want to know the history of Cadbury but it's not very big on the other stuff
My kids love that place. We will return here. Here can taste chocolates, write your name with chocolates and lot of see.
Great place for couples and families alike. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and happy to answer any questions you may have. Covid is taken very serious and it was good to see all staff wearing masks, barriers in place and one way systems. I would certainly go back again and recommend it to anyone.
Mostly aimed at younger children, the day was one giant promotion of the Cadbury brand. Which was expected.
Expect to walk away with enough chocolate to make anyone diabetic, just from looking.
The ticket price was rather steep for what you actually did during the day. The visit lasted approximately 4 hours, and there was alot of walking involved. However wheelchairs are available from reception.
Having a disabled member in our group, entitled us to skip, every line. And I do mean just walk right to the front. They intact remind you at every turn, not to queue. Made us feel rather bad, and got us a few stern looks from the queue members.
The cafe was busy, and tended to be messy. However the food was nice.
All in all, we enjoyed the day, but wouldn't visit it a second time.
Great day out, intuitive for both children and adults.
Alright, however I was disappointed to find no calpol, however when I cracked my head open I got morphine so a 2 star I think, on further inspection I saw a monkey playing the drums witch was bear teckers so a definite 5 star
Going through this I actually thought that the building was undergoing construction in some parts- however, I learned that it was actually just a poorly designed use of space. You seem to walk through a lot of nothing to get to nothing on the tour. You don't get to see any part of the factory (disappointing!). There's a few videos and staff presentations which we heard absolutely nothing from due to screaming children and chattering parents. And then there's a car ride through a really creepy magical chocolate fairyland that's just...weird, and probably scary for some kids. Actually none of it looked fun for kids- and in fact several were crying during our visit and I even overheard one telling staff that he was unhappy and didn't like being there.
Over priced! Tickets, chocolates and food! Waste of money! Traveled 200 miles to spend a little over an hour see attractions and 2 hours waiting in ques
Amazing place. Very customer centered. We went with a resident in a wheelchair and all staff were very accommodating. Olivia was amazing with our resident and deserves a mention.
Apart from the disorganised entry, once we were onto the attraction we all enjoyed the tour round. 3 adults and a one and 4 year old all enjoyed the experience for different reasons. There is chocolate handed out on the way round with various activities to keep you entertained. There is more to do outside so take your time and make the most of it.
Pre-booking is essential.
Bournville village looks lovely, but we didn't have time to walk round.
Would recommend if you have not been before.
Brilliant place and definitely worth the ticket price. So much more than what you would think could be there, expect to spend at least 3 hours here
Couldn't be less authentic. Poorly maintained facilities, including push button kiosks that didn't function (kids like pressing buttons) and audio equipment that could bearly be heard over the ambient sound. Misleading special offer posted More
Make sure you pre book as i couldn't get in the shop was nice though lots of cheap chocolate
Need to sort the queuing system to get in, had an entry time of 1230, queued in the line until after 1250 was called! Experience itself was great, good facilities & the 5 kids we were responsible for on the day loved it! Well signposted from the train station.
What a lovely day out. Such an oldy worldy working factory that is producing lovely chocolate . We got there early and were the first ones to arrive. We were scanned on arrival and they had sanitising stations very regularly because of the covid 19 outbreak. Staff were friendly and covered with masks and very helpful as my mother is disabled and walking around was quite quiet and social distancing measured adequately adhered to. The only quibble I have was that when videos were playing they were talking over one another so it was hard to hear the station you were on and some of the information was lost. Overall a great day out had and an experience that my mum enjoyed for her first visit.
Good socially distanced day out. My 4 year old loved it and we got to do everything she wanted. She loved frankenstien who was walking about on stilts for Halloween too. Staff were all lovely
Excellent for the kids. You can learn a bit of the history of chocolate at the same time. PS - the free chocolate and tasting is great too! Recommended - we'll be back.
Visited here with my partner and son,
We found it to be out dated, abit miserable and dingy the outdoor play area is very basic and considering you can go to drayton manor etc for a similar price, it's way over priced.
Probably wouldn't visit again. Also if you were thinking of travelling a considerable distance to visit, I wouldn't bother wasting your time and money. The staff how ever are very friendly and obviously the chocolate is nice. All in all abit of a let down.
Never get tired of this place. Loads of stuff for kids and adults.
Amazing place for everybody who likes chocolate. Four includes samples of chocolate, interactive exhibitions and a lot of funny experience.
Interesting outlet shop although only about 20% of it is a genuine outlet priced piece of chocolate. The tour is interesting but will only entertain you for a couple of hours. Kids will enjoy the playground but you will need to hope the weather is good as it is predominantly outdoors. Pricing is reasonable as they recognise this is not an all day attraction. A recommended visit but temper your expectations - it's not Disneyland!
Not the tour I expected but really good not a place that I would take young children but there was a bus full at the same time as me you get to know how chocolate is made from beginning to end also at what year it came to this country
We visited for the Christmas event. The kids really enjoyed it, but they don't actually make anything there anymore so no tours of actual choc making.
Some meals are a bit pricy. You must work on a fixed budget. The cinema show was dire...more like a commercial. Kids were saying "That's it????!" They were disappointed. The overall experience 4 Stars. At least Cadbury World has a play area where the children can run off the sugar rush. Lol.
Fantastic place for the whole family and loads to do as well
Fantastic place to visit. Brilliant atmosphere.lots of fun to be had by people of all ages. From young to old alike. Brilliant day out.
Not really worth one star to be fair , 7 of us came yesterday 5 children from 7 to 15 all excited to see things and all they saw were machines standing still ..afew ladies talking..and two videos on how chocolate is made ..all seemed to be rushed around ..I wouldnt recommend Cadbury world to my friends ..I wouldn't have wasted my time or money on this place !!
Interesting tour of the factory, learning about the history of chocolate. Lots for children to do.
I enjoyed the experience, very much geared up for children. However the videos were most informative and interesting.
When i went i had a FAB time! I would defo recomend you go there and they give you LODS of FREE chocolate.
Beautiful, brilliant day out
Expensive in any shop you go in mind and a shame it's no longer English
It was a great day out with my wife and 10 year old.
We spent around 2 hours in the exhibition itself (including the shop) and another hour looking at the site.
Plenty of free samples of cholcote were given - and the factory shop had lots of discounted products. Well worth the trip.
Outside play area is good for kids to let off steam before / after going on the tour which is a little bit convey belt
Great experience for a school trip and the chocolate.
Oh my god I literally love this place so much I'm actually sick of the smell of chocolate and the colour purple as there was so much purple and chocolate everywhere we got to watch and taste the chocolate that they had and got to see how they made it you get free samples in a few areas but could add more stuff there are good deals and souvenirs to buy here they serve yummy foods in the canteen they had good food for good prices they had a kids meal and they had journey which was delicious but just remember don't use the chocolate lol but overall I have to give it a massive 5 million 5555 out of one friendly staff and a memory that you all remember until the day you die
Assisted help for disabled not visable .going round not enough staff in view or signs
I had a nice time. I had no wait. The tour was interesting and entertaining. I enjoyed the chocolate as well.
Great fun for all the family, expect lots of walking
Great few hours for the money. Get a few quid back in chocolate.
Absolute waste of time and money. Miserable staff who clearly didn't want to be there, (apart from to either chat to each other or throw food to get someones attention!) over priced in both the cafes and the shop (chocolate cheaper in Sainsburys) and a grand total of 2 'attractions' to go on! Seriously people-Don't bother! Really disappointed
Had a great few hours here with my wife during a weekend away in Birmingham. She has wanted to come here for years and it didn't disappoint. Very informative tour round the exhibition finishing in the Cadbury shop which has lots of gifty things as well as loads of chocolate. Gift prices in the shop were reasonable and makes a nice change from other places that seem to want to extract the most possible amount of cash out of you! The 4D experience was my favourite part and I would like it to have lasted longer but for others it may well be long enough, I just like rides etc. All in all definitely worth a visit.
Cadbury world is a lovely half day out with children
Great day out. Family friendly. Expensive cafe due to captive market
Great place to visit lots to see and do with kids and growing ups
