Wonderful place to visit. You can touch starfish and sea cucumbers and see living shark eggs. Great place for schools to visit. Gift shop has reasonably priced items.
Great small exhibits. Touch tank is open only at limited times.
Rode bikes all around & ended up here. Great location, amazing views. Overall it was a really nice beach.
For the price, this place is fabulous for kids. It shares its parking lot with the beach, so it's pay as you go to park.
For such a small and FREE aquarium, there is so much to see and do. The tidal pool touch tank is still the star attraction, but the newer Exploration center and Aquatic Nursery add so much more to an already information packed visit. What's more, after an early visit on a hot day the beach is mere steps away.
Good place to spend with the family, it is free, but it is worth giving the donation so that they keep everything clean and in order, the research area loved my son, as well as where he can touch various species of the sea.
Brilliant and free so family friendly and right by the beach! Thank you guys!!!
It was spectacular they dedicated themselves to give all the attention to the children and the children enjoyed the whole place.
My kids love this aquarium. The recommended donation is $5 per person and you get to see and do so much. And after you've finished visiting the aquarium, you still have Cabrillo Beach to enjoy.
It was a peaceful experience. It is a small park with a nice view. Parking is available for a fee. I parked on the street instead. It was clean and breathtaking. I enjoyed the experience.
Based on donations this is place is awesome.
Totally teaches you about everything the life of the Pacific in the region. As a Dive Master, I found this to be very informative and even surpassed my knowledge of the coast.
I highly recommend you check this place out if you have kids or just want to learn about the area.
Great visit lots of interesting things to do, see, and touch.
Omg I want to live there in love it I went to my honey moon there
Small Aquarium, but it's free, fun, and right by the beach. The tide pools are pretty cool too.
Tanks were small, overcrowded, and could use a cleaning. Part of the aquarium was being renovated, but it didn't appear that the small tanks and overcrowding were due to this.
Not very nice as aquariums go. Especially considering aquarium of the pacific is nearby. But its free! Easy parking. I don't like giving it 2 stars because it is a good educational place its just below par in comparison to others.
Super nice place to take the family. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Stick around long enough and you can touch the sea animals in their outdoor display. Super cool!
Surprised to find this place! Great, clean displays and even a behind the scenes look at what the biologists are doing. Man at the info kiosk was very sweet. Touch pools were closed when I went in, unfortunately.
All the staff are very friendly and attentive and the species they have is very wonderful.
We rented lime bikes and made sandcastles had a blast next to the gift shop
Such a gem of a place! Staff is wonderful!! Let's keep donating!!!
Very small but fun for kids and rest of it beach is next to this place .
The volunteer providing tour was actually mean to the first grade kids.
Great small aquarium. Lots of great science learning!
great place to bring little kids to see the fish cuz its not so crowded as the one in Long Beach
Good kid-sized museum, with fish nursery and discovery center.
Great tour guides and amazing fish to be seen. I would Recommend seeing the tiny sharks first
I remember going there when I was younger I even bought a souvenir.
Great place for kids and adults, not to mention it's FREE! Definitely a great aquarium to visit and view some local wildlife
Such a small and unique aquarium experience, unlike other large aquariums this one feels more relaxed and vibrant with the little tidal pools and interactions you can make with the species. It s definitely a must if you enjoy ocean life and has lots of parking and cheap ticket prices!
Not real extensive. But inexpensive and a great place to stop if you are in the area.
Its fun they have aquarium there. Also a fishing port,
Great for kids.. they will love it.. can learn so much about marine life...
Good. Similar to Aquarium Of the Pacific at Long Beach, Ca.
Nice decent size aquarium that doesn't have a set price on the entrance cost per person, though it does have a suggested donation amount: $5 for adults and $1 for children. Definitely worth visiting if your in the area
Great place to bring the kids. Very fun and educational.
Excellent, the people of the staff, super prepared, attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, my son left fascinated and looking forward to returning l9 best that we could visit
I attended a presentation of the Cetacean Society and it was really good.
Small but nice. We enjoyed it for free as members of our local zoo.
Good place to bring the kids. Very educational and live sea life that kids can touch. No set admission fee. Its donation only. I'd donate $5 adults and $1 each child. Its for a great cause to help pay for a great place.
The beach was dirty, not a good place for a bar-b-que
Great for all ages, but love it most for my toddler.
This place is totally worth the price of FREE admission! No other place in SOCAL where you can take your family for a FREE experience like this.
It was a very good place for a field trip. But the only thing that I did not like is that to get to the tide pool we had go thru very unstable rocks and I almost fell down into the ocean. But overall a very good experience.
Small aquarium that is perfect to bring young children to.
Nice research facility. Donation based which is nice, and cheap parking too.
