great place to take your little ones. they have a park.
This is the best aquarium for kids, especially small ones. They have a weekend tide pool walk that is amazing. They also have regular events monthly. The staff are all knowledgeable, relaxed, and friendly. It is a bit of a drive, but you cannot beat the prices and environment here.
The Aquarium has a touch pool, a nursery, jelly fish lab, a library, and an auditorium. Across the street from the aquarium is a playground, and they even have a trolley to ride.
Parking is per hour, at a rate of $1 for normal sized cars and $2 for oversized vehicles. You can pay with cash or card. No outside food or drink allowed, but you can purchase food on site.
A good place to learn about the marine species, and has a lot of diversity in species.
Beautiful, informative, affordable...great for the whole family ir even a romantic date for two....
Beautiful
I loved
This aquarium is a gem. Great for small kids, teens and adults.
As far as an aquarium goes, the cabrillo is a great place especially for my son as i like to take him and its great that its free as i can go there when i am on walks and its the best thing if youre looking to take a stroll or if you want to just look at the fish and other sea critters they have. The gift shop they have is great as the snacks are fairly priced so getting one after you tour the place is a great way to finish it off. The staff is great and the little things they have to teach you about the animals and their habitats are great and i would definitely go here again as i already have
Awesome place to visit for the family. Great staff! Love the working lab with a smart group of scientists to answer all your questions. What a treat!
Great place to take the kids! Parking is fairly cheap at 1$ a hour. They have tide pool walks often but you can go alone just be sure to go when... my kids also like to just wonder and look around while at the beach. My kids also love the gift shop but what kid does not.
Real nice looking aquarium. Helpful staff and really kind. Free entrance and gift shop is nice. Woukd recommend coming by!
I really love this place - they've got a huge layout and have been so generous with mentorship for me!
Alot of fun with the kids, not to crowded
Which is nice.
what a great place for whole family .Its located on beach and with in walking distance of hotels and marina.
The place is simply wonderful and there are so many exhibits. The place is full of water and unique creatures all around. It is a great place to visit for all.
I love this aquarium!! Its a decent size and they only ask for a $5 donation. It has a petting tank and all the local fish! Its a must try
Best Local Pacific Ocean Aquarium in the South Bay. Not as big as the LB, but all you need pay for is parking and a suggested donation. I'm a CMA member for life and I've been lucky enough to go here since I was a kid. Great staff and events they do here, please support this aquarium with your visit today. (Psst...Check out Groupon for a membership)
what an awesome place to take the whole family and the staff are amazing and very helpful
Very educational. They do more with what they have than maybe anywhere I have seen before. A must visit when I'm in San Pedro.
Great place for children! Not too big and overwhelming for them with lots of things to touch.
This aquarium runs solely on donations. There's shark feedings, touch pools and, if you're up for a walk, the tide pools are marvelous!!!
Great aquarium for kids and super reasonable (suggested 5 dollar donation per person). Check the tide pool hours because they vary.
Not too bad for a free aquarium. Got there too late for the touch tank.
An acquarium focused in research rather than entertainment but stills offers an interesting look at sea life.
This is a small and very nice aquarium. Place is taken care of by donations. You can get through pretty fast. It was a enjoyable place with friendly staff.
I would honestly only give it a terrible rating because I know people wouldn't go if I did and I could keep this little gem all to myself! It's a perfect place to watch the sunset with a new or old Love. It offers more than what you actually see initially (you need to discover it like I did on my own!). One of my favorite places to go when I just feel like being away from the rigor if the regular world.
We did the behind the scenes tour and loved it. Worth the additional fee without question. And of course the aquarium is fantastic.
My daughter went here for her school trip and she loved it.
The beach and parking is good but the restrooms no...hmmm so so
It was a fantastic place! giant lobsters, jelly fish and a great variety of exotic fishes.
The aquarium is free. It runs on a voluntary donation. (Recommended $5 for adult and $1 for kids/seniors.) It has a wide variety of sea creatures with excellent information all around. It also has a Sea Life Library, Tide Pool walks, Touch Tank, and Bi-weekly Grunion Fish Hatching. Great place for kids. Parking is $9 but you can find street parking for free.
Fun free and quiet i enjoyed my self . The staff was very helpfull. So much information to read about and many sea creature's to observe. For a free aquarium this did not seem cheap or dirty when visiting.
Great place to visit and learn about Marine life especially kids.
beautiful place, quiet and with a beautiful panorama
Donation museum!! One of the best simple museums in LA County. Touch tank, new and older exhibit and info.. great for adults and kids/ family to enjoy. I have been visiting this museum for the last 20 years plus and it gets better each time. One of the spots I take new visitors too!!
Cheap for the family $50 around July sale season pass free parking, so many to see. Nice and clean ring next to the beautiful beach....
Good place to go with the children to learn and learn about the sea.
The beach is amazing, but sadly the parking machine are so old. That you will spend like an hour trying to get your parking ticket.
I enjoy seeing the new tanks. This aquarium is clean, organized, and well stocked. I always come away with fantastic photos. Such a treasure.
Small but educational public aquarium. If you grew up around here, you probably came here for field trips in school. This aquarium specializes in all of our local critters - be sure to come to one of their Grunion events in the summertime!
Excellent teaching aquarium....well worth the visit. Great outreach program
It's amazing you donate the amount you want to enter and is so good and informative I really liked it
Great variety of marine life and super cool touch tank. Casual, friendly, quiet and clean.
Great place. Lots of marine life to see. Worth the trip!! Huge star fish, lobsters and jelly fish! Touch tank outside sure not to miss. Will be back soon. They operate on a donation basis. Call to find out! Parking is $1/hr.
Great place to visit there is no set price for entry just a optional donation.
Outstanding aquarium with an amazing staff. Small and informal. Entry by donation.
Its free and really nice alot of information on what they have
As always, place to spend the day with family and friends
I really don't know anything about this place. it's been closed due to Coronavirus but the area seems inviting
