Cabana Pool Bar Review

This place is simply magnificent day and night and the atmosphere is pleasant and friendly.

Perfect spot to party during the day. Beautiful girls, gorgeous venue, and perfect view of downtown Toronto!

We had the dopest time ever can't wait to come back!

A very great place to chill. They put safety measures to prevent Covid-19. Good music and great food. You have to book a table ahead. I highly recommend for summer hangouts.

Kirstie Robertson, the booking manager for VIP, is the absolute worst thing about Cabana. SHE SHOULD BE FIRED. She was unhelpful and extremely rude. Not only did she refuse to answer simple questions for our party, but she spoke to our entire group as if we were children and in a very condescending manner. A few members of our group who paid for VIP and already had tickets were not being allowed entrance via the VIP line as they were "at capacity" (they were still letting in tons of people and were looking to be greased). But we book our VIP booth days ago, this shouldn't have been an issue. Kirstie again refused to help and argued with me stating that i'm coming up with excuses for what the security is saying, when the reality is that I was just relaying exactly what they said.

She also openly berated the other female staff members. Helen, the manager at Cabana was more than willing to help and was actually delightful to speak with. Despite my frustration, which I'm sure she could hear in my voice, she helped us get things in order.

If anyone from Cabana actually sees this, fire Kirstie Robertson. It can inky benifit your business. If anyone out there ever has to deal with her, for your own sanity, find someone else.

Love this place, amazing servers/bartenders. Overpriced food.

Had dinner here tonight with a couple friends. The food was good and the atmosphere was upbeat (even during COVID). However, the service was absolutely horrible... We waited one hour before our server asked our food order and then another 45 minutes before we got our food. It took an hour and a half to get our bills and takeout containers, after asking our server countless times (at least five times) as well as other restaurant staff. On top of that, a 20% automatic gratuity was charged! This was hands down the worst service I have ever received and wish I could get my money back. Not sure that I ll ever dine here again.

Door staff is extremely rude. Accused me of being drunk on the way in because I tripped over their unsafe boardwalk. There is no sign to distinguish guest list line from the other line, but when we went into the wrong line, some blonde bimbo with fake breasts, with a sub 90 iq got really upset and told us it is obvious that the line on the boardwalk is obviously the ticket line, get this, because there is a boardwalk. I understand that we are not all born with equal intelligence, but to have such an idiot try and insult my intelligence is hard to stomach. Once you get inside the staff gets better. INK bimbos are terrible humans, eww.

One of my favourite places in the city as it has amazing views and lots to do.

Wow cant believe how this place has changed! Used to come here when it was the "Docks" nightclub and it was a blast. Management changed... Now the place has turned into a wannabe cash cow. 1 price to get in and if you want to use the pool you have to pay another fee as well. Once in the pool you have to put up with the perverted gawkers. The drinks are ridiculously priced and if the bartender thinks you are drunk the price is higher than you first started or the try and short change you. Don't even get me started on the security...these guys are sad. Mean mugging everyone as the come in or pass by them. Did you guys higher all the cops fired from G20?? Might come back one day but not anytime soon....

So much fun! Coming from Calgary, the experience I had at Cabana was unreal! Looking forward to my next visit to Toronto where I'll be hanging out at Cabana again! :)

Went to Cabana to see Diplo. Rained for a bit but still had a great time! It was during the afternoon but everyone was dressed as if they were in a club at night. Place is nice and open. Service was pretty decent considering the number of people there. I've been here once before just during the summer, will return if the opportunity arises and would recommend try once if you love to party!

We reserved a table and still had to wait for it to be cleaned for 20 mins, we had a good server but the food was extremely salty,also the portion was very small for what i ordered 2 pieces of what tasted like salted cod instead of octopus. I understand that this is all new for cabana but the only reason i gave 2 stars is because the server was nice. Now 20% gratuity for an over priced meal totally not worth it.

Dont believe the hype about this place, it's a cool fun hanging spot for some and a money grabbing venue for others, you cant even bring your own towel and its $16 for a poutine!! Drinks are about regular toronto club prices, bottles are more expensive. The thing that disappointed me the most was that the pool is showcased in the all pictures as a theme for this place yet it was only off to the side of the property and sectioned off. Didnt even look the same way as it does on video. But overall it's a nice place. But bring the right people so have a good time.

Largest patio by the water front does not disappoint. Plus points are the views, ambiance and good service, daily drink specials. If your expecting really good food you might be a tad bit disappointed.

Kirstie Robertson and her staff were absolutely amazing! Can t thank them enough for accommodating my friends and I at their venue. The bottle service was very professional and timely. Great communication between staff. And they made our experience this Caribana weekend an unforgettable one. I encourage anyone coming from out of town to experience Cabana Pool Bar. Thank you guys!

This is the worst attitude of the manager of the institution that I saw in the world. I ordered a table and we arrived on time. the table was not found, the confirmation on the phone in the application of the Boar was not convinced. This is your problem, they said, wander yourself. At the end, they offered a creepy tone for a place at the bar or said leave. We are gone, disrespect for customers, the path to failure.

Just came here for the first time ever, heard about this place for years.

Pros: Great atmosphere, view, and music. Staff was courteous and professional.

Cons: guys, if you're going to overcharge for food and drink fine, but make the level at least above "garbage". $20 cocktails were absolutely terrible. Too sweet, salty and spicy. Get a decent bar tender to make drinks. Boston Pizza makes better cocktails, you can do better. Same with the sushi, below decent, somewhere between store-bought junk and your local mom n' pop sushi down the block. People don't mind paying extra but they need to see the value in it. Very disappointed, feels like I was at a tourist trap on Times Square.

Take away, go for dinner in the city and come here to have a drink, just not any cocktail - get something strait or a bottle and enjoy the ambience.

great spot if your looking for shallow people n dumb broads. 1/2 people have mental health issues for sure. had alot of fun here. even saw a guy get knocked out waitress brought him the bill before he was even able to pronounce his own name. food was pretty decent.

I ve been here during the week and had amazing experiences with the security staff. They are friendly and great conversationalist especially when the hostesses are back logged and wait times are longer. The food is fantastic and service is slow but that s understandable as they are new to this. Prices are fair considering the amazing view. But the auto grat is a bit much. Generally I would recommend Cabana but I came to meet some friends Sunday night and what I saw was appalling. I was running late as my babysitter was late and when I got to the door I was told there was no more entries. I stood in disbelief as my friends were inside expecting me. It is partially my fault for the tardiness and I understand policies but what is disgusting is that tall security guards who I don t see during the week were taking $50 and $100 per person to allow entry. At a club ok maybe understandable but I would never for a restaurant .

Nice view. I went for a special event so the pool was not available. My overpriced food was burnt. This is a good place if you like showing off. Not my type of scene. But try it at least once, that's enough.

They just cancelled the movie night and didn t bother to inform people. So we wasted our time coming there.

It was a new experience in toronto.it has a lovely vibe and atmosphere.The staffs were so friendly but the quality of food and drink were so bad.We got marinated shrimp and file kabob which they both were burnt outside and it was rare inside.and the taste was so Bad.

Great vibe and music. Security is top notch. They are stern with rules and treat everyone equally so there is no favoritism that I find at other venues. The clientele are hot hot hot..... sexy women and good looking guys. Everyone is there to have fun and I find very little attitude. This place is a must!!

Best event ever! Despite the rip of leaving and not being able to re-enter unless you pay again! Plus the over priced food and drinks but otherwise its a pretty cool n chill place to be. Just do better next time cabana and try to keep the dramatic queens to a minimum, yesterdays drama was so not called for with the young lady

Pros: great location next to the lake. Feels like a Miami style vibe.

Cons: horrible crowd, lots of teenie boppers. Drinks way over priced. Have to pay an additional cover to enter pool area.

Overall it's a good spot to take someone who's never been to Toronto. Won't be going back.

Went there for Armin Van Buuren playing. Loved it. Place is awesome is well, lots of space, bar tenders are pretty quick and it's just a good time there.

Cabana pool bar does not understand the concept of customer service........

Beware of the bouncer racially profiling you. dress code demanded jeans but he would let other gentlemen in but not my buddy . We were perfectly sober too. When asked how did he make that decision he kicks us out telling us "don't teach me how to do my job". After asking several other bouncers how to get back in..we get responses like "pay him some money and he will let you in" and go ask the manager. When asked the manager, he sends us to someone else. Like other reviews, good luck buying a drink at this place, it will cost you a fortune!

Long lines, everything is expensive but experience is pretty unique. Truffle Fries are insanely good

Had the most amazing time at Cabana last night! We were blown away by the stunning aesthetic and views. Our server nicolena provided us with some of the best service I ve experienced in Toronto. She made great suggestions and we were so happy with the lobster we ended up ordering. She mentioned she was new but honestly we never would have guessed it. She was so on top of everything and also so personable. She and the food and drinks and views made our experience wonderful and we can t wait to come back and bring our friends!

Best pool party in the city. Secure facility, great views and a whole lot of fun. Awesome place to chill and enjoy a summer's day with a cocktail.

My friends and I have bought a VIP booth and was supposed to have all of us get in through the VIP line! To our surprise, the red-head bouncer at the front gave us so much attitude and it was such an unpleasant service and made us stand in the regular long line even though we paid for the VIP service! When we got closer to the front of the regular line, the same red-head bouncer created another regular line near the front and started letting people go in and cut the line. Absolutely horrible!!! Never ever pay for VIP at Cabana Pool Bar as it s not even worth it! It was my first time for me and my friends, and it will definitely be my last. That place needs to have better management!

Upon checking in, the host was very friendly and took our contact info with ease. However there was not much direction upon getting to our table and not a lot of control, as guests were getting up and roaming. It made us feel a little uneasy as we thought that people had to remain in their seats and at their tables.

Once we arrived at our table, our server was great. Very attentive and helpful with any questions we had.

The moment our food was brought out, a woman came to check us in and take my information. It caught me off guard because she pulled her mask down as she spoke with me to ask questions. There was no physical distancing as she was very close to me. It interrupted our meal and hindered our experience.



However we felt uneasy as we dined because guests kept walking by us and we noticed a lot of roaming and partying, while the security didn't seem to control it. We felt that they could've done a better job at controlling guests with a more structured environment and making sure the guests were seated at their area. The food really made up for our experience.

THE GOOD (surprisingly): food and service! The staff are actually exceptional, all of them friendly and helpful when asked. The food is handled by O&B, and despite the creative and flavourful options, prices remain reasonable.

The not-so-good (and this is surprising too): the venue itself. It feels like a converted parking lot, with very little sand, grass or colour in general to make you really feel like you've left Toronto. For a "beach bar", very little beach elements, and everything feels a bit cold and drab.

I m so sad to give this venue a 2 star review because I ve always enjoyed going here. However, the staff have completely gone downhill. I work in the club industry myself and we pride ourselves on good customer service which Cabana has severely lacked.
I also don t understand how the past two times I ve been to cabana there have been no garnishes for drinks, super odd considering it s a bar. I m not interested in getting a gin and tonic without a lime or a tequila shot without a lemon as I m sure many others would agree.

Rude staff and security that doesn't want to listen to you when you have an emergency. Racial profiling is also pretty common. I had the paramedics on the phone calling from my girlfriends phone telling me my girlfriend is inside being helped as she was puking and the security roughed me up and held me by the collar when I tried to run inside to help. I explained that I have the paramedics on the phone but they accused me of lying. Even the paramedic was upset as it was an emergency and he was telling me to hand the phone to their security . The guard doesn t listen and tells me that the paramedic needs to radio him because he won t believe a liar and drunk. Anyway, long story short: I ve left this review and edited it as my friends had just revisited the place and they were treated just as unjustly by their under-qualified, rude, and low IQ security. Just because you're under the influence does NOT mean that this is what is to be experienced by any individual when visiting any venue. Not to mention the fact that the bartenders purposefully overcharge you for drinks and take more money than should be taken (especially cash) and many don t realize it because they are drunk. Unfortunately, the incident that occurred made me realize how unimportant their customers are. This is the reason why their ratings tank and it s below subpar for a good or decently owned venue. Overall the view and events are the only reasons I'd go there.

Rude staff , I thought it was a nice place to visit especially for the view, however the staff there is tremendously rude starting from the manager , expensive place for the kind of service that they provide specially for those who pay for bottle service($1200). while you dance other people are waiting to steal your alcohol and if you complain about it the manager just kicks you out , first and last time there -10, "DON'T GO THERE"

The staff and event planning is terrible at this place. The event was supposed to start at 2:30 pm and we arrived at 2:50 pm. When we tried to ask staff where the line for tickets was 3 different staff were rude. The first person mumbled something and walked away as he was speaking to us. Then we asked another staff member and she made up her face and said she had no clue where the line for ticket holders. I guess because we did not have bottle service we were not worth her time and beneath her. We then asked a third person where the line was and instead of answering he proceeded to point. And I asked him again and he grudgingly answered. We then had to wait in a line that didn't move. We finally were able to get in at 3:25 pm. I would have given the review lower but the bartender and manager on the roof provided good service. Be prepared to be disrespected if you are not spending thousands of dollars.

First time coming here and I was not disappointed! The event that I went to was okay and the DJ was not the greatest but I have seen this place blow up on social media and depending on the event, it can be an amazing place to visit. However, as far as the location is concerned, it is beautiful with the skyline in the background and with the lake surrounding the environment. DJs and events not withstanding, this is a fun atmosphere and it is very appealing to those looking to do something different on a weekend. Drink a lot of water on top of all that alcohol because being outside with the sun shining down on you and with the heat that is generated in that place will definitely kill your energy. However, this place creates its own adrenaline so there's always a consistent vibe to this place. I can't wait to come back for another event here at Cabana! It did not disappoint!

Would absolutely come again. Love the vibes and Xavier and Pierre are the best.
