Shocking. No staff available in the evening. Sneaked out the hotel, with no ones knowledge, carpet is super filthy. Waited in restaurant for 2 hour and no one came to assist me, so took kids to McDonalds. Swimming pool broken and leaking everywhere. Mud in the grass. Towels weren't clean at all. It was awful... Awful... Sadly.

Hotel too quiet, TV program is not friendly to non SAs. DSTV Bouquet is lowest and cheapest. You need to off your TV during stay. No excitment . Room too cold, warmer not available. Not friendly to African origin. Housekeeping not adequate.

Went to look at the spa however closes at 5hrs wanted to sit at peaceful lake but right next to extractor fans 2 noisy a bit disappointing

The place is on beautiful grounds and gives one a feel of serenity and relaxation

There was no blankets in the room and it was very cold. There was also no telephone directory to be able to communicate with the reception or other departments, however the rooms were clean, and the linen was clean and the surrounding was the best. If they improve the other things, it will be the best place to visit everytime. The staff is the best.

Never again. Upon our arrival we wanted to order room service. We decided what to have and tried to phone our order through, the phone doesn't work. I walked to reception to place order. Back in the room, the TV doesn't work. We waited 1and a half hour for our food to arrive. Ice cold food that was 100% already eaten from. Absolutely terrible food. We went to sleep only to have the same door inside the hotel slam ever 10 minutes how it didn't break off I dont know. At 2am the following morning there were two dogs continuously barking without anyone quieting them down. I went to reception that morning to ask if we can be move to another unit because I didn't get any sleep and would like our next night to be better. She downgraded us to a much smaller room on the restaurant side. One towel only, no bathroom mat, someone left their scones in the drawer, no hairdryer (3 start ratings have hairdryers), we left for a function to return at 10. At 10h30 there was music blurring so loud the windows were vibrating in our room and this coming from a private party in the restaurant. I phoned reception to ask if there was gonna be music the entire night. They said it will end soon. The music did but not the guests.
They charged us full price even though they downgraded us and they ignored our complaints.
I will not recommend it and I will definitely never visit this institution again. Not worth 5 star rating at all.

The surroundings and the buildings are ok. Aircorn was not working and i was very hot.

The hotel is lovely and the spa is amazing, but room 211 needs major TLC. There was no hot water on the evening we arrived.

The bath is not attached to the floor and rocks all the time. The toilette is also not attached to the floor and feels like it's going to fall over. The shower door has no seals on it, resulting in a monsoon in the bathroom after a shower. The basin counter is half falling off the wall.

We decided to book a table for dinner to celebrate my sisters 26th birthday. Nice place, However we were the only guests there. It was weird having the entire dinning area to ourselves.

We had an Christmas year end party, actually it was more team building than party but the jury is still out. Back to the venue...I wish I had visited on different circumstances. The venue is well laid out to give each room level of privacy. The staff are super friendly, food however could do with serious attention, I always finish my plate..... but on that day lack of gravy in rice.....but anyway....a great place and looking forward to booking a spa visit. I don't work there anymore, not that anyone asked

Rooms are impressively sized and comfortable. Internet signal is not great. Service overall could be better but still acceptable.

I had a problem with the electricity plug points by the bed not working which was a frustration.

The area itself is quite pleasant and close enough to sites and sounds nearby.

Great choice of restautants within a 15 minute drive.

Be prepared for the traffic if you're travelling during your average work week especially early mornings or late afternoons during peak hours.

Very conveniently situated for business in North, east and South of Johannesburg. Beatifull and restful surroundings. Very snug and comfortable.

I would rate this place a ZERO if i could. My husband and I decided to getaway for the night and arrived at st andrews hotel and spa at 22:00. We did not make a reservation so we thought we would just try our luck. When we got to reception, the security told us that reception usually closes at 23:00 but because the hotel wasn't busy, the staff decided to clock off at 21:00. We were then shown to our room, 5 minutes later realising that there was no hot water! We reported the problem to security and we were then told that he would find out from maintenance and call us back. We waited for another 15 minutes for the call and eventually got tired of waiting si we decided to go find out whats going on at reception only to find the security on duty eating an apple telling us that no one from maintenance is answering their phones. The security then told us that he would find out if there was hot water in the building next door. Once again, we waited another 15 minutes before the security cane back to tell us that there is no hot water at all. We then requested that our money be refunded and that we were leaving. We packed all our luggage and on our way out the security told us that there was hot water in the other building. We were then shown to another room in another building only to find that the heater was not working (mind you we were in the middle of winter) and the carpets were FILTHY! Word of advice, take R1600.00 and spend it on a better hotel that will actually give you five star service. Dont even waste your time on this place!

Tranquil and quiet setting with great views, you feel like you're away from the hustle-and-bustle.
The service is good and the entire experience was fantastic.
Value for money for the 5 star standards offered, the best hotel I've been to within 50km radius.

Awesome hideaway in Bedfordview discovered it by accident

Poor maintenance of the rooms. Little cleaning for the category. No air conditioning in the room. Reported on arrival. Match after three days without having had assistance.

The grounds are gorgeous and the surrounding backdrops are a must see. We were not impressed with the Spa treatments or the restaurant which really brought down our experience.

On Thursday the 15th of December 2016 St Andrews Hotel hosted our group divisional launch on the lawns of the Hotels. The staff were very attentive and the facilities were excellent. Beautiful venue with conference/meeting rooms of varying sizes, classy hotel rooms, a restaurant, bar and pool.

Lunch was delicious and the restaurant and bar are open to individual patrons. It's a family friendly restaurant.

We held our conference at this venue in 2019. Besides a beautiful location and nice decor, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING else was absolutely shocking. Shocking service and disinterested / bored staff. Numerous problems with actual conference venue suffice to say that the maintenance crew had to be called in to fix curtain rails. Hole in the floor that had been covered with a carpet and presented a safety hazard. Event co-ordinator at the time was never available and it was a battle to get hold of this person in the lead up to the actual event.
Dismal, shocking and disappointing. No star rating.

I have been to the hotel many times in the past and it's always been a pleasure up until this last weekend. Maintenance of the establishment is of concern also the level of service has dropped. I wish management can contact me for more clarity and resolution.

It's a very posh closed up area with great open spaces for cocktails and small group conferences. Their menu is delightfully prepared with various meat options. Be sure to ask for their amazing Hake. It's to die for. The pool area is serene with a great open space. Plus if you're an outdoors gadget person they allow flying drones.
