Very nice school my sister goes there and someday I want to go there also for business degree.
Needs transportation to the train from campus for students safety...what is the matter..with all of the funds$$$$ this University receives ..where is it going?????
Great University, given it has some flaws and most universities do. You do get an education here and the people that do complain are a bunch of pansies. If you really work hard you can do well anywhere.
This school is full of discrimination, racism and unfairness... For $40,000-$45,000 per year the campus and facilities are absolute nightmare - old and obsolete... The faculty is nor professional with a good amount of disrespectful and unfair professors... If you are looking to enroll into register nursing program, then listen to my advice - AVOID AT ANY COST!!! There are plenty of very good private schools out there which you could go to get your education.... Probably the most f....cked up nursing department in trial-state area... Waste of big money and most importantly waste of time...
This is the Madison campus (Florham) but you titled it Teaneck (Metro)
Save your money, stay clear of FDU. The FDU administration does not care about their students. One of their staff members, Leon I. Kurland also teaches college classes, he was scheduled to teach a class at Fairleigh Dickinson University FDU. Kurland literally refused to show up to classes. Kurland then violated FDU policy by neglecting his students and refusing even write or administer a Final Exam. Even though Kurland was the one who failed to perform his duties he proceeded to give both students an I (Incomplete) for the class. Negligently, a paper was given to Kurland to grade, Kurland then falsely claimed that the content was plagiarized and he gave me an F. (FAIL) Needless to say, the paper was my own work and Kurland refuses to provide a Turnitin report because that will prove the paper was original. This has caused me tremendous hardship and has affected my ability to graduate because Professor Kurland didn t do his job. Kurland's unethical conduct has damaged my GPA and reputation for NO reason. FDU has allowed this problem to continue for years with no resolution.
It wasn't that good of an academic experience, dorm life is very boring and the geese always there to dirty the grass near the bridge. The networking events are not that great, you're better off learning somewhere else for a cheaper price. For me a community college was a better quality experience in many levels.Teachers were not that good, the CORE classes are just a waste of time. Try NYU, Columbia, NJIT since they look better in your cv/resume' . a lot of my friends didnt like the engineering teachers at all and I was not happy with their management information system courses. if you think about it, there is nothing unique about this place since practically all other community colleges and universities have international students.
As a former student from the metro campus i dont recall the education worth it. Some of the professors were full of hostility and resentment as to how they ended up teaching. There are good professors out there but have little power to make any positive changes on the campus. I got more of my money's worth studying elsewhere. And it's overpriced if you dont qualify for the fafsa or other student aid, but even w the aid the prices should have been at community college value, or less. Fdu's reputation wont land you a job of your dreams right away. Its not all as they advertise. Study elsewhere for your own sake.
I am a freshman here currently at FDU metro and this school is like going to High School part 2. The campus is smaller than my high school, and the professors do not intellectually challenge me and lets not forget the horrendous food they serve and they shut down the cafeteria at 9:30, which is way too early. I'm definitely considering transferring from this school, high school was already bad enough and I do not intend to stay here.
The best college you can get into In and around new Jersey! No second Thoughts! It might sound pricey , but if you study well enough it is covered under the scholarship, and trust me studying here is worth your money!
The food here sucks. I probably eat at the cafeteria once a week and when i do, either the food is basically inedible or they ran out. They also tend to leave out rotting food. They're also very expensive. You'd think that they would spend some of that money on decent food instead of giant flat screen tvs in every room on campus. Also none of the departments communicate with each other; they're very disorganized. The campus security is basically paid to drive around all day.
WiFi is terrible, the cafeteria closes WAY too early (week days open till 8:30, weekends open till 7:00) and they charge you an arms and a leg whenever they get the chance. Oh and please don't get me started on their "dry campus" nonsense, this is the most WET campus I have ever been on, the hallways smell like marijuana quite frequently and nobody does anything about it. However, this campus does provide MANY options in terms of what you wish to major in as well as supplemental choices for five year programs. Another notable benefit of this campus is the teachers and faculty here are indeed committed to make you succeed so as far as academics go, this campus is rather promising. However, if you are looking for something more outside of the academic experience DO NOT COME HERE. FDU gets very boring very quickly I have other complaints as well but for the sake of appropriateness I will not name them.
1st class education. Within a stone s throw of NYC giving you access to all the resources in the world. Teachers/Professors are real life actual successful professionals in their craft. Extremely knowledgable & perfectly suited for both the self-motivated student & a student that needs attention. This is the place for anyone that wants an exceptional career & is willing to work for it.
University does not run for Student Success. At max they only transfer 6 credit hours and not 9.
Fairleigh Dickinson University is the first American university to own and operate an international campus and currently offers more than 100 individual degree programs to its students.
