I am truly disappointed in this hotel.. It is extremely pricey to find that staff is not adequate and nobody is there to serve in restaurant. Further the rooms are not as nice as you see them in pictures never mind the beds they put together and frame it as king-size bed.. The resturant has ridiculous prices and you don't get value for money..

Lovely spacious rooms. Trying to get room service was a bit of a nightmare. Overall good location and awesome room.

I stayed at St Andrews Hotel & Spa about two weeks ago for a weekend away. Both the room and the pool area were absolutely beautiful. I also enjoyed my massage treatment at St Andrews Spa.

Unfortunately the restaurant was a major let-down. The size and quality of the chips depended on the day. During breakfast I ordered a meal that included caviar and spinach, instead they brought me salmon and lettuce without at least letting me know of the change. The food was inconsistent and underwhelming for the most part.

The overall experience was okay as well as the service, everything seemed to just depend on the day.

Restaurant is not worth the overpriced meals it serves. Not recommended

1 star rating is being Nice! Can't believe the restaurant is advertised as 5 star??? Looked impressive on internet but very far from it! Restaurant service is so so so bad! Waited an hour and a half for a basic pasta, food took forever to arrive, most dishes weren't available. Waited HALF AN HOUR for dessert.. worst i've had in years!!! Won't be recommending this place to anyone EVER. Pitty looks stunning when you arrive. Can't believe we celebrated a birthday here, so embarrassed!

Great little hotel. Rooms huge and spacious. Really a big plus. Lovely setting. Away from main attractions though. Need half hour drive to most attractions. Staff were helpful. But needs polishing and professionalism. Housekeeping a little lax. Fridge wasn t working in room. No hotel directory in room. Breakfast was adequate. Could do with some variety. Orders incorrectly taken. But they tried.
Disappointed with the Spa which is a separate entity. Called half hour before to say therapist had to leave. So had to cancel our booking.
That was not cool.

High quality, upmarket business & conference facility allstising, tasty 3-course lunch.

Decent rooms staff were friendly but Aircon was too small for the large room and it did not cool the room very well. Breakfast was good and had a nice dining area. There is ample parking and beautiful gardens.

Beautiful layout and setting. Friendly staff. Stunning artwork on the walls. Nice and quiet retreat from the busy city surroundings.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Had a full 3 course meal which was delicious and very well presented. Staff are very friendly as well. Will be coming back! :-)

Awesome place to visit, however I lost my bank card in the room and my spare change money. All was on the side of the bed, when I went to check whilst the ladies were cleaning, they claimed not to have seen it. That was disappointing :-(

Beautiful grounds and beautiful modern facilities BUT bad maintenance and below par service, rubbish breakfast. Definitely not worth the R2400 that we paid. So much potential.

A very disappointing experience starting with the receptionist who was leaning his chin on his arm during the whole time talking to us. No room service. Phone not working in the room. Outside chairs and table were filthy. No mini bar. This is far from expectation of a 5star hotel

This is advertised as a 5-star hotel - it definitely isn't. The rooms are nice and spacious, and the beds are comfortable, but sadly that is where the compliments end. The restaurant is very disappointing, the food is at best average. Many of the staff give the air that they would rather be somewhere else. The wi-fi is also quite slow. And as a so-called business hotel, to not accept American Express is unacceptable.

I visited St Andrews in April 2016, OMG, what a beautiful hotel, perfect service, beautiful view, breath taking atmosphere. I loved everything about it, amazing staff indeed, doing laundry & ironing free of charge. Thank you guys, one word for you, AMAZING **************

How do we get hold of the hotel, we have an important guest arriving on Sunday evening and we been trying to get hold of the hotel for days. Emails are coming back as the hotel is now under new management, no website, no reply to mails, no telephone lines.

Great hidden gem of the East Rand. Very attentive massage therapist. I really enjoyed my time. Very calming environment, if you are looking for a quick city getaway.

Not a nice experience. The staff members don't know their own product. No value for customers and what was ment to be a lovely dinner ended into a fight. The idea and location is good but a lot needs to be done regarding the staff members especially the restaurant area. We waited for food for all most 2 hours. Our friend from Hong Kong was not impressed as well. Not a nice experience at all.

The spa is tantalising. Spoil yourself and book a pedi on the massage chair - an hour of bliss.

Beautiful spot, feels completely out of the city. Lovely lake, but no decent spot to enjoy it. Also, restaurant menu doesn't cater to veg AT ALL. The service is friendly though. It's a pity about the food thing because, booking in for a stay or a spa package means you'd go the whole time having to sort your own food out.

Staff were friendly, professional, helpful and went out of their way for our guests. The food at the restaurant was good and the cocktails even better.

The place exceeded our expectations , it is beautiful. I thought I was going straight to bed immediately when I got there but I couldn't I had to see it and took lots of pictures
