An eclectic mix of customers filled this hotel, and its friendly atmosphere influenced that mix pleasantly. Service was very good throughout our stay. A redecorating project unfortunately closed the restaurant. Overall our stay was a great experience. The hotel location is perfect. In our room, you'd never know we were in a hotel located in the Dublin city center . . . no noise. Breakfast was wonderful!

Disappointed in our stay. Our room was absolutely freezing. Why did payment have to be made on check in? This was unnecessary as the hotel already had my card details. The waitress during breakfast was far from friendly. She made a big deal of it when we ordered porridge and when we got it she brought our hot breakfast down literally when I had my 1st mouthful eaten. She left our hot breakfast on the table. I did not like her attitude.

We spent 4 nights there and I really liked it! The hotel itself is really clean with amazing service.

But the best about is the good location. You are really central and go everything by feet.

Lovely hotel in a great, central location with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is good and freshly cooked coupled with a selection of fruit, cereal, breads and cold meats - couldn't fault it. I'll definitely be back.

I don't know Buswell's could be better. It's a pretty, well-located place with excellent staff, a good restaurant and bar. I would stay there any time I'm in Dublin, and will certainly recommend it to anyone traveling there. For those in Dublin on business, it would make a fine meeting place.

If you are going you spend a week at a hotel in Dublin, Buswells Hotel is a perfect choice. Grand and beautiful while being quaint and homey. Close proximity to everything in Dublin. Quiet street, perfect location. Wonderful access to all Dublin has to offer. The staff was lovely! Having all of the amenities of an upscale hotel without the exorbitant prices. The bar and restaurant within were also top notch! As a guest, a nightcap, late-night cup of tea or coffee are always available, even after the bar closes to the public. Come down late one night and sit by the fireplace with a book or just to catch a quiet, peaceful moment. Highly recommend!

We stayed to do some touring in Dublin before going out to spend Christmas with family. We found Buswells to be a gracious setting in a wonderful location. It was convenient to many of the sights by foot and to the hop-on/hop-off bus for visiting more distant locations. The building is lovely and was beautifully decorated for the season. The room was a good size although not as well-appointed as the public areas, and the bath lacked shelves where you could put out toiletries. The staff were always friendly and gracious. The food and drinks were first-rate - wonderful breakfasts.

I liked everthing about this charming hotel that made me feel like I was Ireland. From the front doors to the most remote corner of our room, the place sparkled with cleanliness, quality renovations, and super fresh sheets, duvets and pillows. Tea and coffee in the room with real half and half and some buttery shortbread cookies completed an excellent welcome. The front desk staff were well trained to perform their job with friendliness and precision. Go two blocks in any direction, and you have many attractions and pubs with great live music and dancing.

The hotel is situated over a bar and restaurant that turned out to be quite busy. You can hear conversations in the first floor rooms which means it s difficult to get to sleep before they shut (after 11). There is very little step free access given the type of property which might prove difficult for those with mobility issues. And while there is an exercise room, it is far from even basic. The rooms are on the small side, though beds comfortable. The bathtub in my bedroom was stained and had limescale and could do with an upgrade. Overall this was not a great place for a work trip and maintaining an exercise route and getting a good nights sleep. The location is very central though and the lobby decoration lovely, with clearly a lot of time and money invested in upkeep.

Always enjoy my stay at this charming hotel - the location is perfect for shopping and restaurants; feel very safe in the general area. Staff are great, very helpful and friendly. Hotel is very comfortable and always clean to a very high standard. Have and will continue to recommend it to others.

Nice spot for tea and scones. Friendly staff but just over 14 for 2 tea and 2 scones was a bit steeper than I had expected. Maybe I m too long out of Dublin and too used to prices down the country.

Cannot say enough good things about the experience we had with this hotel. All employees were friendly, helpful and pleasant. We have travelled extensively and there was not a hotel anywhere in our travels where the staff was so wonderful to us. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Having traveled to Ireland on 8 different occasions, never - never - would we stay anywhere other than the Buswells. Conveniently located to such "must see" locations as St. Stephen's Green, Grafton Street, and the Temple Bar district, no reason to consider other hotel options. Great service and a very fair price.

Great hotel. Close to shopping, transportation. Parking was rather expensive. The hotel cover only overnight charges. Good fresh breakfast. Staff very attentive. The building is old, and so, no elevater. Narrow hallway. Comfortable beds.

Hotel aging, paintings, wallpapers and carpets need to be changed.
The size of the sink is more like that of a washbasin.
Value for money and average.
The plus is that the hotel is in a quiet area and close to the center.
If you have the misfortune to fall on a back bedroom, the view is horrible, miserable ...
And finally the assessor was down during the whole stay ....

Love this place! Beware lots of odd half-floor stairs and lots of fire doors, which may be a problem for someone with disabilities. Pub had yummy food options. Perfect location for access to museums, shopping and restaurants/pubs.

A great old fashioned hotel with service, food, comfort all absolutely top notch. A couple of areas of decor and fixtures need some TLC but hardly a cause for concern. Would 100% stay here again.

A very pleasant and satisfying stay in very comfortable accommodations. The parking option was helpful and the location couldn't have been better. The front desk staff was helpful and pleasant, and I appreciated them being willing to help us even after we had checked out. Service above and beyond the call!

This was our first trip to Ireland and I can't imagine it having started in a better place! We got in at 4:45 am and we had coffee brought to us in your seating area and it was just so very nice after such a long flight. Your staff worked on getting us into a different room so we wouldn't have to wait and everyone just seemed to go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Everyone was pleasant, quick to smile and offer directions or places to visit. And your hotel is just gorgeous!! I enjoyed sitting and looking out the front windows while we waited. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again or to recommend to anyone traveling to Dublin. Thank you so very much for making our stay a memorable experience and starting out our trip of a lifetime with excellence.

We stayed here for three nights ... at the beginning and end of our tour of Ireland. The rooms are very different. However, all very clean. The shower takes a lot of getting used to. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast is something for everyone. In itself a very nice hotel. Unfortunately, they do not have their own parking ... you are forced to put your car somewhere else during the day ...

My room was far too small to be acceptable, with furniture carmped in an incredible small footprint. It was January and the rrom was too cold despite the central heating. Toilet also too small and cold, with a terrible fan noise. Not acceptable. I know there are bigger, better rooms but reception did not advise this one was tiny and cold when I asked for a quiet room. Will never go back to Buswells Hotel.

If it's about ambiance, this is a fabulous place to stay. The folks that took care of us, from the front desk to the bell hop to the multiple requests for room service, The people were marvelous!

Buswells has a feeling of old world elegance, but not in a way that is stuffy or uncomfortable. It is charming and friendly, as well as very conveniently located for everything we wanted to do in Dublin. If I am ever fortunate enough to return to fair Dublin, I will definitely consider staying there again.

In general, very good hotel, very comfortable, perfect location since it is in the center and at the same time in a very quiet street. Serene and beautiful atmosphere. Perhaps the only downside was having to go up to my room only by stairs.

I first stayed in Buswell's in the 1970's with my wife and young children on visits from Brooklyn. Over the next 20 years we would be there on regularly. Later I was frequently in Dublin on business in the 90's and Buswells became became my office as well as home away from home. Then one of our small children who was with me in the 1970's married an Irish girl and we now stay at their home on our many visits to Dublin - so now the bar and restaurant are our regular meeting places as well as our invariable stop for lunch. Paddy, the doorman for many years had the idea that I looked like President Kennedy. Whenever I would arrive I knew I would be greeted by "Welcome back Mr. Kennedy'." Now when I come in the lobby I see his photograph and can hear him welcoming me again in his wonderful Dublin accent.

Loved Buswell s

Loved Buswell s

During are two week stay in December 2019, we stayed twice at Buswells at the beginning and ending of our vacation for two nights each.

The staff was extremely friendly, especially the breakfast staff (Robert) and concierge. The front desk staff was helpful.

We loved the public spaces in this hotel to just sit and have a drink, a cup of tea and people watch. There was a wedding one evening and we checked out the ladies dresses - copper blush seemed to the the favorite color worn.

The breakfast could not be any better.
The only issue I had and it was for four days - I could not unlock my bedroom doors. There was turn and turn and then turn and lift up and push. Never got it and thankfully staff was around to help.
Also thanks to the cleaning staff, the lady was lovely on floor 1.

I highly recommend staying at the Buswell Hotel. It is next to the Leinster House and we saw some quiet demonstrations. The location is only a 5-10 minute walk to Trinity College and a few minutes more to my favorite street on Ireland, Grafton Street.

The excellent service we received while staying at Buswells is what made our short stay with you exceptional. Everyone from the night clerk who checked our bags after arriving in the wee hours of the morning, to the waitstaff in the restaurant and bar took really good care of us. Breakfast was great, and the bar/lounge area was a nice spot to spend a quiet evening. Leonore at the front desk is an absolute angel for letting us check in early, she really saved the day as we hadn't slept on our overnight flight as hoped and were completely exhausted. Irish hospitality at it's best! I will definitely stay with you again next time.

We had a six night stay at Buswell s and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everyone on staff was very nice and friendly and we got to know several of them through our daily interactions. The hotel is in fine shape and exudes warmth and elegance. It is quietly situated but near all that Dublin has to offer. We will be back!

If you are looking for accommodation right in the heart of Dublin with elegant atmosphere, look no further. Buswells was absolutely the best experience for weary travelers; the staff saw to our every need for the entirety of our stay.
The rooms were very comfortable, especially the spacious bathroom. It was warmer outside during our stay, and the hotel doesn't have air-conditioning (but neither do most historical buildings in Dublin). Opening the window was just fine, and the street directly in front of the hotel wasn't busy at all.
If you are interested in being close to all the museums and shopping, and don't care as much about the bars or pubs, this is perfect. The restaurant was also wonderful, as was the plentiful breakfast.

Buswelll's is a very charming and nice place to stay if you are visiting Dublin. It is in a good location close to the airport and there are many nearby attractions. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean and pleasant. I would highly recommend staying here.
