I took my husband here for his birthday. We shared the 40 oz porterhouse steak and it was amazing!

First time ! It was perfect in every sense of the word
Staff was great. Food was amazing. Would go again!

I had the best tasting steak on my birthday at the Buffalo Chophouse. The steak was cook just as I requsted. The baked potato was big enough for 2 as all the other sides were. Server was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Wine list is the longest I've ever seen at a restaurant. Be prepared to spend some money while here. I highly recommend Buffalo Chophouse for anyone wanting a great meal and experience. Getting a $50 gift discount for celebrating my birthday here was definitely nice.

Have to give it five stars. Was expensive for us but worth the experience. One of the best steaks I've had ever for sure. Go on a special occasion, the hospitality makes it worth it.

We were seated early and greeted with smiles from the hostess and every member of the waitstaff that passed us by. Our server, Janos, was incredible. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy sharing in our day with us. That kind of service cannot be faked!

We have visited the Chophouse several times and we have never been disappointed. The service is always impeccable and the steaks are always cooked perfectly.

Yesterday we had fresh Massachusetts oysters to start which were great. I had the Delmonico steak and my girlfriend had the Filet Mignon. Both were seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Our server recommended a fantastic Napa Cabernet and we enjoyed it so much that we bought a couple of bottles at the liquor store.

I always highly recommend the Buffalo Chophouse.

I've been here a number of times and I've been disappointed every time. I had a $50 steak and it was tough. Like shoe leather tough. I had it cooked rare and they nailed it, but it was still tough. Dinner for two will run you over $200. I have no problem paying that if the meal lives up, but this one never has. It's a cool space and the service is great. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, I just don't think the food lives up to the price. Try Tempo or Oliver's instead if you want fine dining in Buffalo.

Was not worth the $$$. Out of Sea Bass and waiter didn't know, had to ask for a steak knife for my overly seasoned steak. Very salty. Asked the waiter to bring 2 orders of scallops 3 each on one plate but yet they came on two plates. If I'm paying 250 bucks for a meal it should at the very least come out of the kitchen the way I asked for it.

This is a very classy steakhouse with an elegant interior, attentive service, a varied winelist, and very delicious steaks--maybe not safe for vegans. We had a seat on the second floor, which is really more of a balcony surrounding the bar on the first floor. The ceiling was still a good 3m or more above us, so quite the space. Our server was helpful and knowledgeable, and was very attentive without being intrusive. We had a bone-in aged porterhouse and a South African lobster, both of which were very memorable. Beat of all, if you have tickets for an event at Shea's, it is a short walk across a parking lot to get there, and they may let you keep your car in their lot to the end of the show. It ain't cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Pricey, but every dish is delicious. The steaks are top notch! One day I hope to benchmark against Luger in NYC.

The most tender filet everytime I've been there. The truffle butter is everything. And I love the bananas foster for dessert.

Sad to say, but very disappointed, how, why would a reputable steak house smother a 5 star usda prime steak in Montreal seasoning.. ? After scrapping off the burnt seasoning layer, the rest was equally dissapointing.. I really hope this isn't a trend..

No words can describe the wonderful experience I had there for my birthday!!!

It was so crowded. We had reservations for 7 and arrived about 15 minutes early. they wouldn't let us check in until right at 7. That would be fine, but there's no where to wait. There were at least 20 people smashed in by the door, trying not to step on each other. If they weren't so greedy, they would get rid of a table or 2 so that people had somewhere to wait for their table to be ready. The bar was completely full, couldn't even wait there, we tried to get drinks and I couldn't get close enough to the bar to order. Dinner was alright. No complaints. I think Russel's has better steaks. It's expensive, but I was expecting that. I think for the prices, they should have a nice place to wait for your table... and the dining tables, if they removed a couple of those too you wouldn't have to eat on top of the other diners. I could literally have touched elbows with the lady at the next table

Excellent steakhouse. We live in Des Moines, Iowa and travel to Buffalo for Business twice a year and don't skip the Chophouse. Some of the reviews are comical It is pricey but you get what you pay for I would never step into an Outback steakhouse after eating here.

Honestly the food was good, but man bring a heavy wallet, cause its gonna lose some weight after the bill. Sides are extra, and i left hungry. To be completely honest if your in the buffalo area, do yourself the favor and go to Russell's!

We had a reservation on Sunday between 7 and 7:30 on Sunday for 3 to celebrate a birthday. When we arrived, the valet said park anywhere, my son walked in while my wife and I parked the car. We were seated at a table, next to the bar, where every time the door opened, I was hit with a flash of light from the outside. We sat for 10 minutes or so without as much of an acknowledgment from staff, our water glasses were not even filled. The was a couple at a table next to us, whose waiter never as much as said hello. A party of 3 entered and asked the host for a table even though they did not have a reservation, our table was that close to the host stand for us to hear the conversation. The party was taken upstairs to be seated. We asked if we could move upstairs and was told by the host he would have to check. He first had to bring menus to the party he just seated. When he returned downstairs we told him that we told by him we had not been acknowledged with even water after waiting for over 10 minutes and said we had decided to leave. His only response was ok.
For what this restaurant charges, I would have expected better service. Since the reservation was made for us by our hotel we made sure to inform them of our experience.

Fantastic experience! The wine list is quite good and there a wide variety to choose from.The steak was on par with Morton's and Harbour 60 in Toronto and the sides were perfection. Leave room for dessert! We shared the mile high chocolate cake it was the best chocolate cake I have ever had....and that says a lot! I will absolutely eat here every time I come to Buffalo.

Very sophisticated place for dinner! I had the filet mignon enhanced with lobster tail. My meal was delicious, service was exceptional and having the cheesecake for dessert is a must! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner. If I had taken pictures I would have added them but instead I chose to bask in the ambiance and it did not disappoint.

We were at Buffalo Chophouse for dinner before a show at Shea's in December 2019. The service was quite good and the food was also quite good, but the prices were way beyond what they should be even for a great steakhouse in this area. I've had better meals with comparable service in Boston, Las Vegas, New York and New Orleans that didn't cost as much as this place. Not to deride Buffalo - it's a great city - but it's not exactly a major metropolis. In the end, there are other places, just as good, where you get more bang for your buck.

5 star steakhouse one of the best in buffalo. Very pricey but it's to be expected when your dining at a place like this. We go every year for new year's eve never disappointed.

I received for Christmas a $100 gift certificate plus an additional $25 gift certificate that had to be used by the end of June 2020. We went there about 10 days ago. The bill with tip was $335. They would not honor the $25 because it expired. I explained we would have come way before but the Covid 19 virus had us staying home and safe. They did not honor the $25. Really!!!!! You think they would have honored it. After spending that type of money

I have enjoyed the chophouse a few times. Their steak is topnotch!

This place has a lovely ambience and amazing food. The steak is one of the best in Buffalo, especially
the filet mignon. I was a little disappointed by the side choices, they aren t very imaginative/innovative and pretty standard (fries with an aioli sauce, creamed corn, cooked vegetables). Be warned also that the sides are purchased separate from the meal and in group portions, so it can be hard with the limited selection to find ones that everyone loves (and it needs to be love, not like, with this kind of prices). My dessert (pictured), a chocolate lava cake, was absolutely delicious! The wait staff and hosts are always incredibly attentive. My water was kept full the whole time and my table rarely had to ask for anything.

My wife and I ate there last night for her birthday and had one of the best meals ever. The service, food, and experience was outstanding. Great wine recommendation from our server too.

The 5 star rating is because of the excellent service my party received by our server David. What a personality! The food was good but not outstanding or worth the price. We were treated like royalty. We will definitely be back but it will be on the condition that we have David take care of us again. Friendly, Professional, courteous, respectful and very knowledgeable regarding the wines.

Usually don t say this but do the cooks know what seasoning is here? Atleast some salt and pepper. Over priced food for a mediocre product.
