My child has attended preschool here for close to a year. I received a call from the director the day before spring break and she told me my daughter threw a block at someone and knocked over another kid's blocks. She said her teacher brought my child to her office and they asked if they should call mommy, she then proceeded to tell me that after talking to her about her behavior, the Director held the block up and asked her how she would feel if she threw the block at her, and my daughter flinched. I'm not proud of my daughter's behavior, quite the opposite, but I'm appalled at the fact that my daughter was threatened in this way without my being present. I'm now left wondering what else took place in her office that my 4 year old won't tell me. This is the first time I've ever heard of this type of behavior about my daughter at preschool, and for a first time offense and a very young 4 year old(had just turned 4) , I feel this was handled poorly. For a teacher to walk a child to the director's office and for them to then threaten a preschooler and also tell the parent that they did, makes me wonder what happened that I don't know about. I asked the director who she threw the block at, out of concern, and her response was, "that little girl wouldn't hurt a fly." This seemed to imply my child is malicious and bad.

Definition of threat: statement of an intention to inflict pain, injury, damage, or other hostile action on someone in retribution for something done.

I had a parent teacher conference a month before this incident and nothing had been said about any bad play and I even asked how she was doing with the other kids and was told she was doing fine. I had planned to send my child here for her second year of preschool.
There's a real lack of communication and I no longer feel comfortable with my child attending school here.

I was also told in my one phone call with Mrs. Shelly that my child had knocked over some hula hoops. I asked my child about this and she had knocked over the hula hoops on accident and they yelled at her and she was not allowed to play that day and stood with her nose in a corner for what she said was a long time. Considering she didn't ever get to play with the hula hoops that day and the other kids did, it probably was a long time. This is way too extreme for treatment of a 4 year old by teachers and if I had known sooner I would have removed her from the school immediately.

About MOMS Club of Marysville

MOMS Club of Marysville is a community-based organization that aims to provide support and resources for mothers in the Marysville area. The club was founded with the goal of creating a safe and welcoming space for moms to connect, share experiences, and build lasting friendships.

One of the key features of MOMS Club of Marysville is its commitment to providing a variety of services and activities that cater to the needs and interests of its members. Whether you're looking for playgroups, social events, or educational workshops, there's something for everyone at this vibrant community.

One popular service offered by MOMS Club of Marysville is its worship services. With two different options available - a traditional service at 9:00 am in the sanctuary or a contemporary service at 10:30 am in the Family Life Center - members can choose which style best suits their preferences. Additionally, both services are available both in-person or online so that members can participate from wherever they feel most comfortable.

But worship services are just one aspect of what makes MOMS Club of Marysville such an exceptional organization. Members also have access to a wide range of other benefits designed to help them navigate motherhood with confidence and ease.

For example, playgroups are an excellent way for moms with young children to connect with others who understand what they're going through. These groups typically meet on a regular basis (weekly or bi-weekly) and offer opportunities for kids to socialize while parents chat over coffee or snacks.

In addition to playgroups, MOMS Club also offers various social events throughout the year such as holiday parties, picnics, and outings like trips to local museums or parks. These events provide opportunities for families within the club to bond over shared experiences while exploring all that Marysville has to offer.

Another valuable resource provided by MOMS Club is its educational workshops. These sessions cover topics ranging from parenting tips and tricks (such as sleep training strategies) all the way up through career development advice (like how best balance work-life responsibilities). By offering these types resources free-of-charge as part membership dues paid by each member annually; it's clear why so many mothers find value in joining this group!

Overall, if you're looking for an inclusive community where you can connect with other moms while enjoying fun activities together then look no further than MOMS Club Of Marysville! With its diverse range offerings including worship services every Sunday morning plus plenty more besides; there really is something here everyone regardless age background experience level etcetera...
