Great selection of beers and food prices. Popular with the locals and tourist. If it is sunny still be crowded. It has a great terrace.

Top brewery! almost all beers are really delicious and highly recommended. You can relax here on the beautiful terrace, and also nice when the sun is shining. The staff is friendly, the beer is cold and the snacks are delicious. Everything about this place is good!

This place always attracts people from all over the world. It is a small brewery which produces excellent specialty beers, and you can try them in a cozy environment in the mill on the border of amsterdam centre. Ask for a tour through the brewery, they do them regularly.

It is a very nice place to hang out. It even has its own windmill. It sells so many type of beer which I regret I only tried one. The combi (cheese blocks and cured sausage) menu was good. The staff was friendly too. It was raining when i visited it so i can not get the picture of the windmill. Will definitely comeback if i visit amsterdam in the future.

The best Amsterdam specialty has for years made to this brewery. Atmosphere in the bar and on the terrace is excellent. Bar staff are working every day to the bone, respect!

Amazing interior. It's a bar in an old windmill. The decoration on the inside make it feel very hipster bar ish. Many varieties of locally produced beer are served l. Actually the beer is made in the spot as the bar is next to the brewery which is also inside the windmill.
Always full of people drinking locally produced beer. It's actually cheaper than buying a Heineken at a bar anywhere in Amsterdam. They also have sausage and cheese snacks available from the snack section.
Always full so be prepared to stand if you can't find a seat

The first brewer that opened for public. Now copied by many, but this is the original. They relocated the brewery itself, but you can still get tours here in the mill and sample the beers.

Great brewery located by a canal and a windmill. They have a patio and inside. It's self service but they're quick and have plenty of choices. I recommend getting the 6 snack deal which is half a sausage and cheese. Theyre both really good. It was so great we went back the next day.

This is an amazing place - a brewery right next to a windmill. The place was over crowded and I was not surprised - they have different varieties of beer and all of them are home brewed. You will get dark, blonde, white and IPAs as well! I had the IPA and the white bear and both of them were fantastic! You will also get something to snack on inside the brewery. A must go if you are a beer lover and happen to visit Amsterdam!

Great spot right underneath a Windmil you can enjoy the delicious beer here. Also the food platter is absolutely delicious!!

Great to be in the terrace on sunny days. There are lots of tourists and can be a little busy but overall, it's a nice place with great beers made by them. I just find really bad that they close so early (20:00).

The historic brewery under the windmill, a place of worship for beer lovers in Amsterdam, where they can sip their thorns at the bar or in the wide outdoor spaces. It also offers delicious cutting boards with salami and cheese. Open only in the afternoon.

This brewery was amazing. I got the flight of beer along with some cheese and sausage. The atmosphere was very welcoming along with the friendly and helpful staff. The beer was some of the best I have had. Would definitely recommend stopping here

The employees are subpar to say the best, beer is average and they are rude to you when you are there! Overall horrible expirence. Don't waste your time leaving the city center for this.

Even tho this place closes really early, around 20:00, this brewery is a great place to go to if you're out for a local beer. The place is always crowded but there are barely any waiting times and theres always a place to sit down at.
The crowd brings a good atmosphere.

Great place to grab a few beers with friends. Their brewery has limited snack options, but they go well with the beers. Beer tasting is a good idea before you choose a beer that you like. Local hangout, not so expensive, but a nice location right under the windmill.

The tour was fantastic. The construction process is explained in a fun and simple way, with the necessary humor of course.

A lively spot to drink some well crafted brews. A must-visit for those who are visiting Amsterdam. The windmill over the brewery makes for some great photographs. Be sure to eat before coming here or plan to go somewhere after since the food is limited to small snacks.

The brewery of Amsterdam's quintessential brewery (forget Heineken). Beer "with ostrich", Browerij 't IJ. While you are here, after taking a picture of the mill, try the beer tasting. 5 small glasses in ascending order of alcohol content. Maybe grab some snacks ... otherwise you end up like my mother (photo ko)
