Highly overrated tourist trap, all of the 12 samples I had there were rushed through production, and as such had the creamed corn fault that is the result of a rushed production.

Great place. Great beer. One of my favourite beers in Amsterdam. Only criticism is not enough bar stools and the place gets busy with a lot of tourists ordering beer "flights". Get there at opening time for the seat of your choice

One of the first (maybe the first?) local brewers, which maintains this rebel's squatters groove despite the fact that their beers have become mainstream and may be found at many bars in and out of town, as well as in supermarkets and gas stations... Drink standing on wet floors or seated at beer garden tables, but take care with some of the brews, as it's easy to get one too many of them. Ah, you can get gift packs, beer tasting trays and t-shirts too!

Very pleasant moments are spent in this place. Next to a large traditional windmill. Good local beers and good atmosphere. You must visit and live the experience of a place with the local life of Amsterdam.

Friendly barmen who are knowledgeable and able to educate anyone on their flavours of beer. Did the tasting and the beers tasted amazing. Best way to taste is with a delicious with a cheese platter. Definitely a place worth visiting. Even if it's just for the windmill.

Here, friends and I buy a glass of Ijwit and take ossenworst (some kind of soft, half-baked, half-smoked sausage) with mustard for a snack. In this institution, there is almost always a large influx of visitors and it is very difficult to find a table if you do not arrive in advance. This place seems to be very popular with locals.

Good and cheap beer in Amsterdam. 12 varieties at TAP, made right there. I tried 4 and liked them all, very good in style. The almost hour-long walk from the center of Amsterdam is well worth it.

Arrive by bicycle from downtown

Arrive by bicycle from downtown
Completely sober and I left Curao as a peak
The beer is good, I recommend the beer tasting for 10.5eur
Which lets you try the different pilsen that are available
The place does not have table service
So you have to jog to a bar (man) (woman) to serve you (paying at the moment)
Snacks are requested in a separate area in the same way

This local brewery offers beer at lower cost ( 2.50 instead of 4.50 in bars!). At 15:30 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, visit the brewery in English for 4.50 and a beer included. You can enjoy your good beer at the foot of the mill or inside where the decoration is candle and beer bottles. A local beer to taste absolutely!

It is very unfortunate how in recent years the 't IJ Brewery has turned from a cultural venue into a tourist tent! Amsterdam's beer culture has now progressed so much that other local breweries are brewing more interesting specialty beers. Moreover, because of the many tourists it is often too busy to be able to enjoy your beer in peace.

It's the best beer I've ever had. My girlfriend and I had heard of 't IJ through some previous visitors to the city and decided to walk over to check it out. First starting with the space its elecptic reminds me very much of a modern pub in ireland almost farm house charm but that makes sense since it's in a windmill. The Food- great as well for accompanying the beers not a large selection by any means but enough for there to be options for people the smoked ox sausage and the sheep's cheese were stellar. THE BEER! honestly and I saying this as someone who favors spirits normally it's the best beer I've ever had in my life. I've never been one to crave it or seek it out but this beer had me going back for seconds and thirds of styles of beer that frankly I'm not normally a fan of. As an example the girlfriend normally would never touch anything darker than an amber ale but the ibjok they have was perfect from her point of view. It was so good we went back a second day. Now I'm just here in the US wearing my sweatshirt and counting down the days till I can go back or until they start importing here. It's a great beer honestly and you feel the difference in the care in which its handled made and served to you by friendly staff. If your in amsterdam skip anything but Brouwerij' T Ij and you'll be sure to have an awesome trip. Cheers Prost Salud or whatever you may use!

It is a fantastic place to be. I love here and ,by now, consider myself a local. This place is an icon in this city.
A great place to go on a Sunday afternoon.. or any other afternoon.
The only thing that has changed in recent years, is the amount of tourism that 't IJ now receive.
It breaks the typical atmosphere in my (and others) opinion.
Yet, when I have the chance, I go to the Brouwerij for a beer and a nice chat with friends.

Brilliant brewpub. Always very crowded and therefore hard to find a place to sit most times. Not a problem if you're one or two people but more difficult as a group. Beer is good and really cheap.
