If you don't like seafood this is not the place for you not much else to choose from. It's a great location. Outdoor seating needed more lighting at night. We've been here the last two years in a row for family members birthday and both times are party of 15 had the worst service I've ever had. Manager blames that always on just being really busy. But that's not the case because the order of operation 4 waitressing is totally backwards. If you want a quick me all this is not the place for you. Manager wasn't very professional. Wine selection is great and I definitely recommend the mud pie

First time here, nice view if the marina, delicious fresh food, had the fish and chips with cole slaw and fries. It tasted amazing. Fish tasted fresh, the batter was crispy and fried to perfection. You could grab the fish stick and not end up with greasy fingers. Their fries and cole slaw were just as good. Also has the Ahi Tuna Salad... OMG this is a meal in itself. Once again super fresh tasting tuna and they serve you plenty of it. Five stars just on the food including taste and presentation. The ambience and the helpful, friendly staff that's another 5 stars.

The seafood is always fresh and well prepared. Great view of Ventura Harbor from the Patio Dining area. Each table has a Hand Sanitizer. It is my go to for fish & chips and clam chowder. The salmon salad has a large piece of salmon on top. Friendly servers.

Came here with a friend, based on his previous good experience! He said that he'd had the best trout ever here!

There are many good draft beer selections. However, I'm deducting a star for dirty menus, and an overall okay dining experience.

Great food and great service! Got hot combo and fried scallops as appetizer, seafood pasta, blackened Cajun seabass and a seafood stew. All were excellent. Of the sides, the ride pilaf is highly recommended!

Fish and Chips, scallop and chips, and clam and chips were fresh. The restaurant is on the second floor. The views are beautiful. The prices are moderate. The food portion is excellent.

I am so glad they are open again. We had the fish and chips and a bowl of clam chowder. It was delicious as always and more than enough food. You can dine on the patio right now but we chose take out and was very happy with the way they did it. Everything was perfect.

The food is great. The service was horrible. Our waiter came to our table once and that was to take our order. He didn't even bring us our bill, the bus boy did. And the manager picked it up to run the credit card and returned it to the table. So 1 star for the serive. But, like said before the food was great.

Brophy Bros has been in the Ventura Harbor forever. They have a great happy hour where the appetizers are very reasonable. I recently had the steamed clams and an order of the calamari. The steamed clams were plentiful and delicious. They steam them at the bar which is entertaining. I believe the happy hour price was around $8 for a nice sized plate. I very much enjoyed the clams. As for the calamari, I would have to say that their presentation is one of the most uninspired and poorly served calamari dishes I have encountered in Ventura County. The breading barely adhered to the fish and it felt as if the calamari came out of a frozen pre-made bag and thrown into the fryer. The happy hur drink prices were great and the service levels were satisfactory. While the calamari was disappointing, the atmosphere, venue and value will bring me back again.

Great atmosphere, great service, great view and excellent food! Our family loves going here and we often bring visitors from out of town as well. We have three little boys and this is one of the few places that they enjoy going to as much as the grownups do. The menu is mostly the same you see at any American seafood restaurant but they do such a great job making it taste super fresh and new. The classics, like fish and chips, calamari and chowder, are simply really well done and I love their cioppino! If you don't try this place out when you're in the area, you're missing out!

Good food. Prepare to spend some money here though. My mom and I had dinner here and she got the seafood pasta and I got the Ahi fish and half dozen clams it turned out to be $64+ tax. Other than that they get sustainable fish and it's a good place.

Loved the fish and chips! 5 stars
Clam chowder, not much. Too thick and salty from having cooked down. 3 stars.
Service, 5 stars.
Ambience, upbeat but a little too loud for my taste. 3.5 stars.

BB is overrated. Seafood is not fresh, oysters were bland (probably farmed from the harbor - can you say, ewww), ceviche was "so so," tasted like crab out of a can. The peel and eat shrimp was pretty good. The Brophy Brothers at the Spinnakers isn't as good as the one in Santa Barbara; but then the BB in SB could have gone downhill, too. I don't know.

The food is great however a bit expensive; I would say it's worth it though. I've been coming here for years when in the area for business and have yet to be disappointed.

My suggestion would be sure to make it in for happy hour since they have a great menu for veey reasonable prices.Happy hour is 3PM - 7PM on weekdays.

Great restaurant in a beautiful location at the Channel Island Harbor. Wonderful family spot with inside seating and patio seating that overlooks the Harbor. If not for a fluke issue with my cajun spiced Sea Bass (very smokey smell and taste - very unusual) I would have rated them a 5. After explaining my issue to our server, 2 managers came over to ask what the issue was and apologized on the spot. They took this off the tab, too. We still tipped on what the higher total would have been since it wasn't our servers fault. Still highly recommend Brophy Brothers!

Always a great atmosphere overlooking the water, and we've never had bad service. The seafood is always fresh and delicious. Even the bloody mary's are also a burst of flavor with fresh horseradish spice. Also can't forget the crispy, chewy sourdough that's a great starter and perfect for dipping into the chowder.

Typical for a tourist-y restaurant. The food is tasty, not very generously portioned though. You can see Two Trees from the covered patio. Expect sparrows to be flitting about looking for food.
