Great scene for tasty seafood. Super tasty. Definitely worth a return trip.

Dinning at its finest. Super quick and accurate service. Friendly staff and great quality seafood. We were a party of 10, split on 3 checks, and our waitress didn't miss a beat. Drink orders were taken only seconds after being seated, less than 2 minutes later...all the drinks were on the table, and she was taking our dinner orders. Appetizers and entrees followed quickly after that. Not a single mistake...perfection.

Great view, great food, great location. The best thing about this place is the service! I went with my 93 yr. old mother-in-law and they were extremely considerate of her liabilities. We were originally seated in the open area. I would have given it a 5, but with the open seating it's too loud to have a quiet conversation. When a corner table with a view opened we immediately asked to be moved. "Sure! No problem!" Then we really enjoyed the view, and she could hear me.

Bartender Sam and Ryan are awesome. The food was so good. Cant wait to return for more.

The bathroom situation is pathetic. If you need to wash your hands you'll have to exit the restaurant and use the public restroom located next door. They have restrooms in the restaurant unfortunately they're for employees only. The Clam chowder was good the rest of the food was so so.

Had the seafood sampler appetizer as my meal and it was absolutely delicious! Prices were comparable to all the other restaurants on the harbor, so no complaints there.

Really enjoyed Brophy Bros. We were traveling to Ventura and looking for a casual place to get some decent seafood and that's exactly what this place is! Great service and hot tasty food. Some of the best fish and chips I've had. Prices are fair and service is quick. It's little tricky to get to as you need to walk up the stairs if you just walk in on ground floor you will be in a different restaurant.

Bunch of lame wanna be trendy people. Don't like the staff, don't like the clientele. If you have an abnormally low IQ then you might like the place

They're doing something that I think is odd. If you will sit at a table they offer a happy hour menu, four feet away at a booth no such deal. The food was so-so, nothing notable. The service was good.

This place serves a variety of seafood. They serve you a half loaf of warm delicious bread with butter. I love the Fried Shrimp, always fresh and it's served with coleslaw and fries.

The bestest, freshest seafood ever! I have traveled quite a ways to indulge myself in actual seafood. The oysters Rockefeller are delightful!

birthday lunch, a friends treat. The food is ok not great. Took the wait staff forever to get our table started. You'll love the view outside overlooking the harbor. A bit pricey.

Love both Santa Barbara's and Ventura locations. The view of the marinas is great.

This place is the reason to visit the Ventura Harbor. It's also the reason to visit the Santa Barbara Harbor. And I've done both in the same day and if eaten at both in the same day. It was a nice way to spend the day.

Great selection of seafood here. The menu isn't too large or overwhelming. Every dish we ordered was great and if you come here I'd recommend giving the baked clams a try. Very very good.

The service was great here too. Our server was attentive and very nice. Actually, every employee we passed either greeted us or gave us a warm farewell.

Ive been going to Brophy Bros for years now, and when Whales Tail started declining... and then closed... this is my first choice to take family/friends visiting us!!!
Ive taken family from New York, Spain, Ecuador, and locals - and everyone loves the perfect waterside atmosphere, with excellent seafood.
The word I hear people say, when I take them there, is "perfect". :-)
For out of town guests, it's a memorable experience.

I had the clam chowder and the ceviche and they were both real good without the wow factor. My server was young but very nice and attentive without overwhelming us. It was a light dinner. I would definitely return to this place.

An SB classic, the food is fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is a lot of fun, and the views of the harbor and SB riviera are great (especially from the balcony tables). Friendly, professional staff, too. Don't miss it.

I've really tried to like this place. The drinks are good and the wait staff, bartenders, and managers are great...Unfortunately, in my 3 attempts to eat here (1 lunch, 2 dinners) the food sucks. This time I tried the Mahi-Mahi and was again disappointed. Dry, chewy, tasteless, it was small and overcooked and the only thing that made it eatable was the mango/papaya salsa it was served with. It came with a huge pile of yesterday's rice and a large serving of very good coleslaw. 4 stars for the staff and the view. Think I'll stick to Margaritas and steamed clams from now on.

The fish and chips were tasty but the clams chowder was cold and the bread was stale and cold.

The people are friendly. The food is on point. The price is right.

We had Fish & Chips, clam chowder, and steamed mussels in broth. The portions are large we could easily have shared dishes. The food was tasty. Fish and Chips comes with coleslaw. The Clam Chowder was a bit on the thick side, whereas the mussels and broth was great with minimum salt.

Great place to bring out-of-town guests for the beautiful views and good food. Their service is also very nice. A little on the pricey side for the portion of food that you get.

Seafood and the feeling here is very good. this place is absolutely one of my favorites. looking forward to a return visit. the place has an awesome feel to it.

Tasty sea food esp the fish of the day with cajun, Though it looks expensive 'coz of the big portion sizes I think it is ok , the staff who took the order was not that friendly but the one delivered the plate was , the view is nice, ambience was nice too. Parking was ok to find ..I visited around 2 PM, a bit difficult to find the place for first timer.

Brophy Bros never disappoints. We would frequent the Santa Barbara location when we lived there. The Ventura location was nice to go to after completing a day trip to Channel Islands NP. Poke, Cioppino and of course their famous fish and chips. We left full and happy.

This is from a local, great view, most on point waitress I've had in a loooooong time, excellent food- think of it as a more casual Scoma's (if you have to ask, then just know you are lacking in experiences). All in all, a great meal, and a decent bargain! Also, keep our beaches clean and don't be so low class as to leave your diapers and other trash in the parking lots - I see tourists every day do that and it's painful.

Cold Combo Platter and Pasta Entree much below my expectation and below the potential of this restaurant. Quit noisy and unintimate
atmosphere.

I always get the sea bass and a cup of clam chowder. It's great and the view overlooking the marina is nice.

Food is so so.
Service is slow.
Noise is louder inside, better off communicating using notes.
This was noon on a Wednesday.
Atmosphere is nice and the view of the harbor is very nice.
Your paying for the views. Food is $$$
