Never a disappointment at a Brophy Bros. Seafood. Sometimes a bit of a wait, but always worth it. Seafood Pasta. Perfectly cooked. Great dinner salad. Chowder is great. Fresh local products. The table bread is to die for. Bar. Service has always been a plus for me. Great table staff. Both servers and support. I highly recommend this place.

When traveling in SoCal recently, a family member strongly suggested we visit Brophy Bros. and so we luckily were able to get in on a Friday night. We were not disappointed. Excellent, friendly service in spite of the busy time of day. Very fresh, large oysters, and excellent garlic baked clams were our starters. We then had the Ahi tuna, which was some of the best we've ever had and the Scampi, which was also very good. We also recommend the clam chowder, it had a ton of clams and not just a load of potatoes like some chowders. We'll definitely return next time we are in SoCal. We also were told that the Santa Barbara location is even better, but we're not sure what they could improve on in our experience.

Portions are a little small but the service and taste of the food was great. We had the lomo saltado and tallarin. The meat was tender and juicy, although the strips were also on the smaller side. Overall is it was good. Will probably be back.

The trick with seafood is to buy good stuff, then don't mess with it too much. This is a trick that the Brophy Bros. know well -- there's good, fresh seafood here.

We got the clam chowder (a solid choice, not the best I've had, but certainly up there), the calamari appetizer (also nice), the steamed clams (winner!), the garlic baked clams (good, but the bacon wasn't completely necessary) and the beer boiled shrimp (I was a little let down by this one, it was beer with pickling spices).

I'm sure there's a time when it's not crowded here -- I just haven't seen it.

Like I said, if you want seafood, you're a happy camper coming here.

Very nice food, portions are huge, great view of the marina, fast service and nice menu. Bar had a good variety of beers on tap and fully stocked liquor selection as well.

Usually, we rest at Andria's but decided to give this place a shot. Will come back when I don't feel like having fish and chips from Andria's and I want full service sit down like today!

Had lunch there today, absolutely fantastic! Freshest seafood I ve had in a long time. Everything was served up hot and extremely tasty. Staff was friendly and very well trained. We sat out on the deck with a beautiful view of the pier. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went for happy hour and had the ceviche which was delicious. It was quite a generous portion for the price too. The service was excellent, my bartender was very friendly and was happy to chat and entertain. Met some locals at the bar and they were incredibly friendly too. The restaurant also has some pretty great views of the harbor and the mountains. Would definitely recommend this place.

Nothing even close to the old Santa Barbara location. No ambience. Seems like they leased a too big too expensive location. Food was mediocre, service was millenial, too busy talking with each other to care in the afternoon. Happy Hour is only at the bar, which has a better facing open view than outdoor patio. Would not go back. What a disappointment.

Wonderful! I love the layout of the Ventura location compared to the Santa Barbara one. My husband had their swordfish and I had their seared ahi --both were delightful. Great, friendly service, too.

We also came at an off hour around 2:30pm to avoid the crowds. I know Brophy is popular for lunch and dinner, so it was nice to have the view, food, and great service without the busyness usually there.

Great sit down seafood. Lots of options on the menu, not just fish and chips. Wonderful service. Upstairs view of the Harbor. Special needs accessable. Enclosed outdoor seating. Does fill up on the weekends. But I think it's worth the wait.

Atmosphere was totally awsome, food quality ... so so ... experience eating food . Loved the elevator option for our moms and dads. Everybody in our party could find something they liked t o eat. Big complaint by all, should of served the bread warm. It was really good, just could of made the experance amazing.

This place is great! A total must if you're visiting Ventura. Can be crowded at times. But we love the atmosphere and the food. And we love coming here for their oyster shooters! Great place to bring the family and enjoy some good seafood next to the harbor.

I can't believe I didn't get seafood at a restaurant right on the ocean...but the veggie burger was delicious! The fries were not great, and the margarita tasted a little weird...but overall a good dining experience.

Meh... A seafood restaurant that uses basa for its fish and chips, a bottom-feeding garbage fish from the Mekong Delta, one of the most toxic rivers in the world? Give it a pass. Chowder okay, all else pretty Bb. Nice enough folks, though.

Ventura, very much like Santa Barbara, over looking the docks, fresh ocean air and breeze. I had the fried scallops which were fresh and plenty, but also thumbs up for the cole slaw. The server gave us time to talk and hang. I would drive the 2 plus hours to take my son there.

Decent food. Great views and an excellent first date space. Amazing views of the ocean and boats in the marina. Be sure to get there early for a sunset view. I go primarily for the experience and not the food.

They have great seafood, but if you are with anyone who isn't big into fresh fish or is pescaterian, this place doesn't really have any alternatives for people. Great service and staff though and quality seafood, especially the clam chowder.

These guys are doing an amazing job during Covid-19! They expanded to different restaurants for outside dining and they are as efficient & fast as ever! The food was warm and delicious. Loved it!

Ok, service was very good. Everyone was friendly & attentive, except for my water, hmmm. Unfortunately, the "seafood pasta" was lacking any flavors described on the menu. Two wedges of lemon did little to pep up the flavor. Just linguine pasta, shrimp, bay scallop and chopped tomatoes with parmesan that wouldn't really blend into the dish. Disappointed. Had to take a cup of chowder to go, to hopefully satisfy my brophy craving later on.
