Amazing store. American classic. Go see the Russian young saleswomen. She knows her stuff and is quite attractive as well. Let her know Nasser sent you the Arabic guy from Kuwait. She will be pleased. They treat you well and literally want you to stay in store shop and rest as it is a personal shopping experience. Of course you would expect that with the prices of their material but I must admit it's worth it. It's too quality material of every kind from cashmere not blended but real to Italian Milano Wool to it's fine our Egyptian cotton. An excellent store with a respectable past

Brooks Brothers used to be a great place to get a good suit. The tailors knew what they were doing, the salespeople did as well. Those days are gone, at least at this store. I needed a suit for an interview. The salesperson had no idea what size to get me. If I didn't know suits it would have been a complete failure right then. When he discovered he was over his head, he turned me over to the manager. From their things were handled better - but everything took an outrageously long time. When I picked the suit up came the next group of surprises. One sleeve had been shortened, the other had not. The buttons had not been moved. The pants were shortened with no cuffs, on a double pleated suit pant even though it was specified and agreed on. Bottom line, disaster. My dry cleaner has a real tailor working part time. Brooks Brothers should be the standard - no the bottom of the barrel joke they have become.
Brooks Brothers clothing "looks" great but are not worth the high price since many of the fabrics they use are so delicate you can't actually "do" anything while wearing them because they tear/split/rip so easily... turning $1,000 suit into $1,000 worth of rags in a fraction of a second by doing nothing more than squatting to pick something up. I spent $3,500 here on a variety of things, and found that even their more durable casual clothes can't really be "lived in" even though I'm a man of average weight.
Great store! The staff is so helpful- it feels old school. They graciously help you with fitting, colors, and styles. Like most apparel retailers, Brooks Bros has trained us to only buy things on sale by running a different sale almost every week.
Other locations have a better variety and selection, but for a quick stop, it is easy to see what is available and not - they don't waste your time in this store, but its small, so if you need a larger selection, try a different location.
The woman sales there is very rude. I was planning to buy a coat and tried some of them, but hadn't decided yet and I was running late for a concert so I just put on my own coat and wanted to leave, but the woman stopped me and said "so you are not going to buy anything?" I didn't even ask her to help me. so trying but not buying in the store is unacceptable now???
Bought 4 shirts on sale... Great price. Peter, the sales assistant that helped me, was very knowledgeable and did a great job pairing up a couple of ties for me. Thanks!
I bought two suits in 2016 at a price of approximately $1,600. Tailor adjusted the buttons of both jackets and on the first try on of each of the suits the buttons fell off. I brought this to the attention of the floor manager Mr. Christopher Becker on a call on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 6:15 p.m. and he told me he was put off that I brought this complaint to his attention and that there was nothing he could do for me because the employees who served me at the store had been let go already. He then proceeded to hang up once I told him that I was going to report his disrepesctful treatment and his lack of adequately handling this issue.
I purchase all my ties and shirts (french cuffs) from there. Theresa in the 6ave location is excellent. Recently purchased two slacks, great fit and the sales are great as well.
I love BB, but the clerk here was so rude. I wanted to size myself for a shirt, he was reluctant to give me shirts to try on. When none fit, because BB took away their traditional fit, he gave me no suggestions. Very rude. I returned and spoke to the manager who very calmly made suggestions for me and apologized for the sales clerk. Left feeling better, but they need to be way more helpful at the start.
Indifferent male staff dedicated to talking on the phone and ignoring the customer. I chose what I bought and he only received the payment. Second time that I think about the attention of that man; I hope you do not cancel my opinion this time and only publish the positive ones.
I bought a tie here for $98 the fabric started to fret after the first use. The manager told me it was a delicate fabric and they could not take it back. If a fabric is too delicate to wear under a suit then it should not be used as a tie.
Only mens stuff seems unchanged, not sure, never shop there for men, but for women they changed all their lines, no more chinco cotton pants, no full alterations service provided, only for men.
Very expensive closing clothing but very much in style for the style conscientious man who wants to fit in and thrive in the metropolis of New York City.
Worst Brooks Brothers I ve ever shopped at. There is a guy by the name of Matthew who is honestly the rudest sales associate I ve ever encountered.
I called (12/23, 4:30pm) to see if they had a tuxedo shirt in my size. Matthew responded via phone I m busy. I can t check that right now.
So I walked to the store that afternoon to see if they, in fact, had the shirt I needed in my size.
I arrive. I wait at the desk while Matthew frantically runs around. There are no more than 4 people in the store. I don t doubt he was busy, but a simple I ll be with you in one moment would suffice.
I wait. Matthew finally takes notice of me and says Yes?
I ask him if they have the tuxedo shirt in my size.
Um no. We don t make them that big, Matthew says. Try the other Brooks brothers in Midtown.
Would you mind finding out if that other store has my size before I go all the way there, I ask.
No I am busy, he replies.
Are you able to look it up on the computer, by chance, I inquire.
Sure, I ll just look it up on the computer I don t have, he says super sarcastically.
ARE YOU SERIOUS? I m literally ready to drop $200+ on a shirt and this dude talks to me like that?
Yes - I called him a jerk. Maybe uncalled for, but how else should I have responded?
Well, Mr. Matthew responded with a loud half-yell in front of the entire store, YOU RE THE JERK!
Maybe I was a jerk. I don t think so. Honestly I just needed some help. I came to BB for a last minute tux shirt (a stressful ordeal in and of itself) and left extremely frustrated and shocked.
Honestly don t know if I ll ever shop at Brooks Brothers again. I walked a few blocks to Joseph Abboud (spent about $1,200 on other stuff I needed) and they were amazing.
Just thought you should know. Longest review ever. Really disappointed.
Christopher Becker was extremely professional and assisted me with a last minute custom tuxedo order. From coordinating the tailoring and ordering accessories from nearby stores, Christopher made everything come together seamlessly overnight. I would highly recommend Christopher and this location for anyone looking for customized top notch service.
