Awesome place to visit. Especially during the spring and autumn.lots of different species of plants and flowers.
Serene lush garden oasis in the middle of a concrete "jungle". Worth visiting but we had a hard time getting there from long island
Great place to get away from the city and have actual conversations. Beautiful gardens and shows
Great place for a little chrome book to hide away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
It has fantastic specimens of tropical, temperate and bonsai climates, in the part of the greenhouses and parts of teaching the children. Easy access by subway lines 4 and 5
It's a nice place where you can go when you are bored or you have nothing to do.
May is a perfect month to visit the garden. Seeing everything bright and lively scene.
It's nice, just that we went in the winter season, I think its magic is in seasons where the trees and all their colors are afloat. But I enjoyed it anyway.
The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens is a little sister to the Botanical Gardens in the Bronx. Do not confuse the two. In Brooklyn you will find lovely paths and specimens of all things growing in the Northeast, it is relatively contained. It is beautiful in the Spring, but less enchanting in the heat of the summer. It is a lovely walk outside after you have visited the Brooklyn Museum next door. My suggestion is to do both in one day.
Staff haughty and painstakingly nit picky. I know they are there to preserve the plants but if u bring kids, beware!
This place is huge! Even with a lot of places shut down for some construction. I was here easily for about 2-3 hours and honestly if I had been there by myself I would've stayed even longer.
I thought it would just be a bunch of plants you look at but it was very well thought out and laid out. There are a lot of interactive moments with signs that say, touch me, smell me, etc. It was a lot of fun but also beautiful to look at.
It's great for friends, family and kid friendly.
So many people that it is sometimes difficult to properly enjoy this fabulous place!
The matsuri Sakura festival was a lot of fun. Lots to see, do, and eat. The cherry blossoms were beautiful and in full bloom. The tulips were gorgeous and were all shapes, sizes, and colors. The bonsai were incredible. I would definitely come back and visit over the summer and fall.
Beautiful place, probably best to wander around in when it's not storming.
One of Brooklyn's gems. Great for a moment to get away of the city streets.
I love the gardens. I have been going here for years.
I love coming here in early summer when everything is blooming.
I came to this place with my son 2 years ago, It feels like the Brooklyn Botanical Garden is far away from home where I living, but it's only an hour's drive from the Queens.
The first time I came was in mid-August 2017, we brings some food and water and spend a day here.
The cherry blossoms are in full bloom, but there are a few varieties of cherry blossoms already thanked.
The cherry blossoms are really out of place. It's hard to see them all blooming at once!
So beautiful here, we took a lot of pictures at here! You should come and visit here if you like to take some photography.
There is a Japanese-style landscape at the lakeside-Torii, Gazebo, Street lamp, Stone monument ...
Although the lake is small, it is very delicate and beautiful! We almost browsed the botanical gardens until 4:00 pm, then we had to leave, becuse they were close at 4 pm! We left reluctantly! They were close so early
Coming here during the summer vacation with the little turtles in the sunshine by the lake, it feels really comfortable!
Winter is really longer in New York. I think Christmas always comes very fast!
Incredible variety of unbelievable plants from all ends of the world. Great fall activity outdoors
One of my favorite spots anywhere. It is lush and quiet and beautiful. A respite from urban life.
There is a Japanese garden, and in spring it becomes a famous place for cherry blossoms.
Beautiful way to spend the day, a little peace in amongst the hustle and bustle of busy brooklyn.
A wonderful garden, great events, love the green houses, fun to explore throughout the seasons, exciting renovations underway
Such a diverse amount of plants and the sakura festival was so much fun!
A beautiful botanical garden. It is slightly larger than the palm garden in Frankfurt Main. It offers an interactive area for children and of course adults, where you can learn a lot about plants and animals.
The individual planting areas are well structured and interesting.
The climate zone area with tropical plants is also very interesting.
He is worth the entrance.
Beautiful garden with many areas to explore. I especially liked the Japanese Garden.
Quiet place that you can walk in an hour or half a day. I recommend to visit on Tuesdays ... :-)
Beautifully redesigned garden. Very clean and very Peaceful.it is worth paying for a Membership.
Spring time is the best to see all the blossoms bloom and the weather makes it even more beautiful. $15 for adults they have a cafe near by
Excellent the Radical Women show ... don't miss it!
Excellent place. It has a wide variety of plants, microclimates have been created for many species and the best thing is that it has an area for roses of all kinds. Its infrastructure is very well maintained.
We only had to pay $8 for the student ticket. The garden was as big as I expected but still a pretty good size. The cherry blossom trees were beautiful and the garden had a large variety of flowers and plants. Id say it was worth the $8 comin from someone not too interested in plants.
Its a big park with plenty of space for everyone. Great for picnics but i didnt really see any tables.
It's is not add big as the garden in Bronx but the size is actually just right. You discover something beautiful every turn you make.
Not so beautiful qto the Central Park, but worth the ride
Visit the Gardens in April to see the park's beautiful cherry blossoms in bloom.
A welcoming peaceful retreat. An Oasis in Brooklyn. The staff is very helpful and open to answering questions. Artichokes were in bloom and amazingly beautiful!
Beautiful place just make sure to go in the correct season but even if not in the best season it's still very nice and fum
Love this place. Plants are amazing, it has a lot of plants, so it is amazing. And its plants are especially good ones. The cherry esplanade is worth hitting up in the spring time, and roses in the summer. Yum!
The Japanese garden and eating in the restaurant are not to be missed
Nice summer programs. Beautiful grounds for a picnic. Lots of events for the season
Awesome place. Now it's free on Friday till noon although it changes over time
Beautiful and well kept gardens. It's worth a visit to anyone in New York
Every year I go, and I'm always mesmerized, however, people need to visit during the winter, it's natural beauty is breathtaking.
Loved it. The place is gorgeous for pictures! Perfect to spend a sunday afternoon enjoying the outdoors
It is very beautiful but if you do not go in cherry blossom season, it will not be worth it!
Do not go at the beginning or end of the season, there will be nothing to see and the prices will be the same ... We went in early September and all the flowers were faded, muddy water, and yet we paid $ 15 per person ...
Its meh, I expected much more so its alright but I don't think I'd come again under my own will because it wasn't the experience I wanted or am satisfied with.
Great place for family trip. Kids are free under age of 12. We were there for the Japanese samurai matsuri festival. Great performance on stage especially the strong music with drumming. Kids love the discovery garden, which is specifically designed for kids.
It was a fun and nice experience, the flowers were beautiful and the space was so serene.
A little piece of green space in Brooklyn. Was very nice, but seems to need more care of maintaining plant beds. Still enjoyable for walking or sitting on a bench and reading, etc.
Not overly impressed with our lunches.....kinda pricy for what we got. Grilled chicken sandwich was skimpy and the "heirloom tomato" was not ripe and still had some of the stem on it. I expected a pickle on the side and it was two dill slices on the sandwich. Also expected chips as described on the menu and didn't receive any.
Such a peaceful relaxing atmosphere. There's a couple of eateries so you can have a really good time. The conservatory was blooming. The magnolias we're in bloom and so was the daffodils. There's a newly opened section with a few benches and Boulder seating this is a welcome addition for those with issue sitting on and getting up from the lawns. It is free on Fridays 8am-12pm. It's a must visit to get away from the bustle of the city
Located in central Brooklyn. Admission is less than the Bronx botanical garden and scenery is also different. Recommend going when the flowered are blooming after May.
Nature is full of wisdom and kind spirits. Here you will find not just heavenly plants and flowers, but also chirping birds, in red, blue and orange color little cuties flying towards you, sometimes waiting in your path with their smiling bird eyes. Even chipmunks jumps out from rose bushes to greet you! And the funny squirrels are running around. It be er gets old walking in the spice garden and the eatable garden. There's something sacred, Godly, mischievous, glamorous, and satisfying in plants, birds, fruits and nature. That, iPhones or technology will never be able to meet: the innate basic connection of human and nature!
Stunning. If you go in winter, you can get free passes to return in summer, but worth contributing to this gorgeous garden.
Beautiful green space lacks indications of plants in some areas and there was no access to orchid areas etc. Beautiful the area of roses and conifers.
Great garden, a lot of beautiful gorgeous difference flowers to look at. This pictures were taken doing Spring
