The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens is a little sister to the Botanical Gardens in the Bronx. Do not confuse the two. In Brooklyn you will find lovely paths and specimens of all things growing in the Northeast, it is relatively contained. It is beautiful in the Spring, but less enchanting in the heat of the summer. It is a lovely walk outside after you have visited the Brooklyn Museum next door. My suggestion is to do both in one day.

This place is huge! Even with a lot of places shut down for some construction. I was here easily for about 2-3 hours and honestly if I had been there by myself I would've stayed even longer.
I thought it would just be a bunch of plants you look at but it was very well thought out and laid out. There are a lot of interactive moments with signs that say, touch me, smell me, etc. It was a lot of fun but also beautiful to look at.
It's great for friends, family and kid friendly.

The matsuri Sakura festival was a lot of fun. Lots to see, do, and eat. The cherry blossoms were beautiful and in full bloom. The tulips were gorgeous and were all shapes, sizes, and colors. The bonsai were incredible. I would definitely come back and visit over the summer and fall.

I came to this place with my son 2 years ago, It feels like the Brooklyn Botanical Garden is far away from home where I living, but it's only an hour's drive from the Queens.
The first time I came was in mid-August 2017, we brings some food and water and spend a day here.
The cherry blossoms are in full bloom, but there are a few varieties of cherry blossoms already thanked.
The cherry blossoms are really out of place. It's hard to see them all blooming at once!
So beautiful here, we took a lot of pictures at here! You should come and visit here if you like to take some photography.
There is a Japanese-style landscape at the lakeside-Torii, Gazebo, Street lamp, Stone monument ...
Although the lake is small, it is very delicate and beautiful! We almost browsed the botanical gardens until 4:00 pm, then we had to leave, becuse they were close at 4 pm! We left reluctantly! They were close so early
Coming here during the summer vacation with the little turtles in the sunshine by the lake, it feels really comfortable!
Winter is really longer in New York. I think Christmas always comes very fast!

A beautiful botanical garden. It is slightly larger than the palm garden in Frankfurt Main. It offers an interactive area for children and of course adults, where you can learn a lot about plants and animals.

The individual planting areas are well structured and interesting.

The climate zone area with tropical plants is also very interesting.

He is worth the entrance.

Excellent place. It has a wide variety of plants, microclimates have been created for many species and the best thing is that it has an area for roses of all kinds. Its infrastructure is very well maintained.

We only had to pay $8 for the student ticket. The garden was as big as I expected but still a pretty good size. The cherry blossom trees were beautiful and the garden had a large variety of flowers and plants. Id say it was worth the $8 comin from someone not too interested in plants.

Love it

Love this place. Plants are amazing, it has a lot of plants, so it is amazing. And its plants are especially good ones. The cherry esplanade is worth hitting up in the spring time, and roses in the summer. Yum!

Do not go at the beginning or end of the season, there will be nothing to see and the prices will be the same ... We went in early September and all the flowers were faded, muddy water, and yet we paid $ 15 per person ...

Great place for family trip. Kids are free under age of 12. We were there for the Japanese samurai matsuri festival. Great performance on stage especially the strong music with drumming. Kids love the discovery garden, which is specifically designed for kids.

A little piece of green space in Brooklyn. Was very nice, but seems to need more care of maintaining plant beds. Still enjoyable for walking or sitting on a bench and reading, etc.
Not overly impressed with our lunches.....kinda pricy for what we got. Grilled chicken sandwich was skimpy and the "heirloom tomato" was not ripe and still had some of the stem on it. I expected a pickle on the side and it was two dill slices on the sandwich. Also expected chips as described on the menu and didn't receive any.

Such a peaceful relaxing atmosphere. There's a couple of eateries so you can have a really good time. The conservatory was blooming. The magnolias we're in bloom and so was the daffodils. There's a newly opened section with a few benches and Boulder seating this is a welcome addition for those with issue sitting on and getting up from the lawns. It is free on Fridays 8am-12pm. It's a must visit to get away from the bustle of the city

Nature is full of wisdom and kind spirits. Here you will find not just heavenly plants and flowers, but also chirping birds, in red, blue and orange color little cuties flying towards you, sometimes waiting in your path with their smiling bird eyes. Even chipmunks jumps out from rose bushes to greet you! And the funny squirrels are running around. It be er gets old walking in the spice garden and the eatable garden. There's something sacred, Godly, mischievous, glamorous, and satisfying in plants, birds, fruits and nature. That, iPhones or technology will never be able to meet: the innate basic connection of human and nature!
