Beautifully maintained, spacious, good for families. Located in the heart of Brooklyn, with plenty of mass transit and parking. Next to Prospect Park and Park Slope.

The administrative staff for this place is horrendous. There is no hospitality in this place... just pure hostility. As much as I would like to I will never donate to this place again until they change their business culture. Is absolutely disgusting the way they treat guess photographers. The lady I spoke on the phone today to get a photography permit was inpatient and nasty. Her voice tone and language sounded like ghetto trash. No thanks.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden is nicely located at the cultural crossroads of Brooklyn. It is surrounded by BMA on Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn Public Library on Grand Army Plaza and Prospect Park on Flatbush Avenue.

This area is also the heartbeat, where the Caribbean Carnival and J'ouvert converge every Labor Day to celebrate Masquerade culture in Brooklyn.

My wife and I were gifted a membership earlier this year and have had the chance to enjoy the Botanic Gardens across all seasons in busy times and times where we feel the whole gardens are just ours. Every instance has been well worth it, and we'll be renewing our membership from here on out to enjoy the BBG for years to come.

This place is awesome. The people who work/volunteer there are amazing. The BBG is a gem located in NYC's best borough.

Loved the discovery garden, full of fun facts! Definitely would visit back during the spring time to see the cherry blossoms but other than that my only complain was the ticket pricing; too expensive!

Its beautiful. Unfortunately we had to visit it in winter but the roads are beautiful. They have a dreamy Japanese lake and a huge variety of plants and flowers. In addition, the entrance was free and is easily accessible by subway from Manhattan. Hopefully we can come back in the summer to see the cherry trees.

I had lots of fun at the Sakura Matsuri festival, it was so beautiful and the presentations were great. Take a moment to see the other stages, they have fun activities for everyone.

Although most beautiful during the spring flowers, it's always pretty and peaceful in the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. And the conservatory with its different exhibits is lovely all year round.

Great spot to escape the city, and <30min subway ride from most of Manhattan. Budget enough time to meander; there are all sorts of nooks and crannies to explore here.

At the end of May there are not many flowers yet, so unless you are a passionate and a connoisseur, this visit is expensive for a simple moment of relaxation

Plants are crowded by each other, there are signs of construction or maintenance everywhere. So many species signs are distracting.

The BEAUTY & SERENITY of this place is AMAZING!! You can always see something different with each Season,, so it NEVER gets old! There have been such BEAUTIFUL changes made! For those who haven't gone recently, you MUST GET HERE!! Put on your comfortable walking shoes and check out 52 acres of AWESOMENESS!!

There are too many crowds on holidays. The flowers in the park are being updated all the time, so you will not be disappointed if you confirm it before going.

This place is beautiful, everyone should visit at least once even more....

This has got to be one of my favorite places in NYC! It's beautiful. You can stroll around till your heart's content. Enjoy the big fish in the Japanese pond or stroll through the rose garden. It's free on Sat and Sundays from 10am-12pm, such a win!

Best botonical garden I've seen. Its was a little chilly today and since the season just started not alot of flowers were bloomed. The japanes festival was great. I would definitely recommend this place

Beautiful plants if you come during the spring it is even more beautiful, had amazing green houses, and delicious food!

One of my all tome favorite spots!! Good for all ages and most times of the year. Parking is convenient and the flowers are always beautiful!

Amazing exhibits all year round. They do have a cafe here but its overpriced. The greenhouse exhibits are wonderful! Bring a water bottle.

Beautiful garden, but kind of small. Alas, it's in a city. Anyway, the different biomes are cool. Food is expensive.

I came on a Friday morning when it is free. I enjoyed the greenhouse. Then I went to the Brooklyn Museum where I gave a dollar donation to get inside. A nice way to spend the day, that's for sure!

Beautiful gardens and wonderful walks make this a must-see destination. Adjacent to the tremendous Prospect Park. Easy to get to by subway.

A wonderful place to spend hours without feeling, of course if you love the nature filled with flowers and trees and flowers and smells beautiful, it has a restaurant, cafe and toilets

A real treat for your visual senses especially during the peak cherry blossom season. Taking a stroll under the thick cover of Japanese cherry blossoms is worth it. Innumerable varieties of flowers, plants and shrubs at one place tagged with proper details make it a great place to visit. My favorite part is a huge section of colorful tulips near lilly pond and Magnolia canteen. Conservatory with bonsai, tropical, desert and warm weather sections present amazing varieties of vegetation and flowers.

Convenient transportation, relaxing and absorbing new places

Very bad attention to the public boy no garden all the water of the very dirty fish too dirty and they charge $ 15.00 the entrance and there is nothing to see inside or even the orchids have.

Lovely, great greenhouses, lots of resting spots, peaceful, food court, free on Tuesdays.

Went in the winter when it's free! It's beautiful. Couldn't see everything because it closes at 4. But still lovely. Will probably go again soon while it's still winter!

It's a huge pocket of nature in the middle of a city. How can it deserve anything other than a 5 star rating?!

Gorgeous spot with tons to see. Could easily spend an entire day wandering around the grounds and going into the large enclosed exhibits.

After you eat or if you just want a place to wander and enjoy the beauty mother nature provides go check out the Botanic Gardens, see the colors try the little cafes, become one with nature (whatever that is LOL). Seriously this is a beautiful place to stop and literally smell the roses.

An oasis in the middle of the city. From the dramatic and showy spring blossoms, to the subtler off-season plants and botanical curiosities, worth a trip - or several trips - to take it all in and leave city stress behind...

A great place especially in the spring when the Sakura is blooming. It has on premise parking for $15 during weekends and if you buy tickets on line it could save you the line at the entrance. I wish it had better dining option s , but hey after all it's a botanical garden.

"If your idea of fun is being hassled and moved along by people in paramilitary uniform then this is the place for you." - totally agree.

The guards who picking on everybody who is trying to enjoy the sun on the grass or who brought their own snack to garden's cafe, are totally killing the joy of walking around this park.

This is not a joyful place to me.

A great garden adjacent to the Museum of Art in Brooklyn, should come in April and onwards, not in winter

Some plants looked a little less than healthy, but beautiful nonetheless

It's so special to see the Rose garden and the immaculate grounds. Nice and shadded. They have an odd rule of no picnic blankets on the one area they allow you to sit in. Security walks around and kicks ppl out. For $15 entrance and a $60 lunch I think it's silly.

Not worth going to in the winter. Not worth the price. Unless you live in New York and don't see enough plants.

I Iove love this place. It's just beautiful. Worth a trip from anywhere.

An oasis in the city with small groups of people. The only negative is the security guard on a power trip barking at people on line.

I've been visiting this place since Ever since elementary school. It never gets old instead it becomes more of a serene place to think and relax. If you would like to become more informed about the different species of plants the free tours are very informative.

Too crowded. Better wait until construction ends. Cherry Blossoms and magnolias are better in Central Park and free.
