Some beautiful greenery here. A great place to visit.
Really nice. I loved the cherry blossoms and some flowers are starting to blossom, too. I would reccomend visiting this place in May and on as opposed to April. I feel like I went a bit too early for the spring season.
Gorgeous place loved it . I went on a school trip with my son they loved it as well. Took my children twice they have great children's activities.
Made a visit mid April and roughly 90% of the outdoor flowers/trees were not in bloom. My mistake for not knowing this but I would have appreciated a heads up for from the staff when paying the $15x2 entrance fee. Indoor stuff was good though. Would recommend calling ahead during early spring time to ensure best bang for buck.
Brooklyn Botanical is a very nice place for the entire family. This establishment have plenty of site seeing and hands on activities to do. The only down fall is: the food is expensive and you can't bring in outside food.
Amazing place with a wide variety of plants and flowers and trees great for kids
I love Brooklyn Botanical garden I love the Japanese Cherry Garden it is a must see !!! Amazing place to take a long walk around. Amazing place to take your family.
Beautiful, expansive gardens. A little pricey to enter but they have some free days so that's nice to see. Worth the admission to get some botanica in the middle of an asphalt jungle.
Beautiful way to spend my day. Tons of unique gardens and plants. Really enjoyed the conservatory.
A beautiful, huge area to relay and enjoy a park-like setting. Relaxing...
Very good to find with species from other continents
Never a boring time at the BBG, they do a great job keeping it so clean
Great place to visit for walks nicer in the seasons
Very very very very beautiful, people there take the work very seriously
An amazing place, always fun to visit, the classes are a great way to stay connected to nature.
Beautiful! The entrance on Flatbush Ave is the better 1.
BBG is a wonderful community institution. We have been members for 2 years and love visiting in all seasons!
One of the most beautiful locations in New York City notable for its Japanese Tea Garden and Cherry Blossom Festival. Not as large as the New York Botanical Gardens in The Bronx but special and peaceful nonetheless. A veritable oasis in Brooklyn of peace and culture.
Beautiful place to visit. I love that it's next to the Brooklyn Museum. Free on Friday mornings!
Too much crowd and not enough space and flowers. If you're really interested in enjoying the nature visit the new york botanical garden
My favorite place but to see its full beauty, you must go in the Spring.
Great place to get in out of the cold on a sunny day. Greenhouses!
Beautiful way to spend a day outdoors. I have a membership and it's completely different even coming a week apart. Great place to take visitors and family. There's areas to picnic inside. The indoors area lets you explore various biomes and bonsai trees. Allow plenty of time to explore, it's bigger than you think! Near cherry blossom season you can check the site to see the bloom status. Also, check their site to see when the free entrance morning day is.
I am really not satisfied with my experience in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.. because i went there and i found that most of the beautiful places and views are closed for maintenance. And i ended up seeing absolutely the same thing over and over again because that was the only available thing. I understand that they should repair the place every while, but at least they should reduce the price ticket if they are reducing the available spaces to see. It was so crowded and we barely were able to find something worthy.
My boyfriend took me here and it was a lovely they it rains a little bit but we made it work and we saw all the flowers and trees and it was amazing I highly recommend it may also do a lot of nighttime events
Its a gorgeous place to go if you love plants, flowers and trees and Nature itself.
Cherry Blossom festival a must see one of the most brilliant displays of nature I've ever seen
Better in the summer when everything is in full bloom.
In the Spring, the magnolias, cherry blossoms, and peonies are lovely. In the Summer, the roses are definitely a highlight. In the a Fall, the Japanese maples and bonsai collection are bright colors. In the winter, the greenhouses are the best getaway and still warm with plenty of citrus fruits fully grown. Year-round there's something to see, so I've found a membership is worth it if you come more than a few times.
The garden is beautiful - an oasis in the city. The flowers are incredible, the new VIsitor's Center is the cat's pajamas (full disclaimer, my wife works there and had a hand in it), and the horticulture staff there just do an amazing job. My one knock -- we need a little more polite rebukes for people who don't know that you can't sit on the grass.
end of june alot of the flowers were dry. Better to come in spring
I love this garden. There is plenty to see every season. I recommend the free tour.
Beautiful. You need good time to go through it all. Go in the first week of spring to enjoy the cherry trees, they last a short time :(
Would have been 5 stars, but flowers not in full bloom yet.
A beautiful garden for all seasons! Free to the public from 8am to 12pm on Friday from spring to fall. Information on the flowers in bloom, including status update of cherry bloomsom, can be found its web site. With easy accessibility around the park. A must visit for all nature lovers.
Stunning venue for a wedding. Lovely that they opened the exhibits for us to explore during cocktail hour. Great extra touch
Amazing place to visit....Close to home.....A pleasure Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
Wonderful landscaping. Includes interactive areas for kids too. We stopped by on a 5 hour layover at JFK couldn't be happier!
Beautiful, well cared for and all the plants well labeled, many huge bees to photograph, it takes 3 hours to walk around taking good photos of everything
Great place to walk around, it is pretty big, but still quite walkable. Highly recommend to visit inside as well. It's actually free on Friday's in the morning!
One warning though : no drinks are allowed in (only water)
Went for a foodie tasting party in the evening. What is not to love?
Just because you dress like a cop doesn't make you one. And we are not inmates. Very RUDE!
Beautiful day even though not at peak fall colors. Still lovely flowers ,colorful berries and leaf textures. And do many happy need and butterflies.
Perfect for aimless walks, reading in the shade, or exploring with friends and family.
Very educational. I took my granddaughter and she enjoyed taking pictures as she learned about the different flowers and plants
A beautiful place to spend the day! They have areas especially created for kids and a huge beautiful variety of plants and trees for everyone to enjoy! The new cafe is on the expensive side though with a children's hot dog meal costing 15 bucks.
Always beautiful anytime of year... It was even better with my sons class we had a great day.
It's a must visit even if it's just a one time visit.
The garden is very beautiful and well maintained, pleasant to be in, it is great, there are toilets, there is a very successful guided tour for free, there is a fragrant plant area
