It was a good zoo , with some good attractions but there was a few things not happy with. I dont think should be charged full entrance price with less than 1 and hours left until it closes and even worse you dont get told the animals are taken in 30 minutes before closure. Also some of the staff are really helpful and some are really ignorant. Plus I think the signs for shuttles stations are non existence

We go to Bronx Zoo almost every weekend. We love it and enjoy it so much. It is such a lovely place. If you live in NYC and have kids, the membership is highly recommended. My son enjoys Bronx zoo a lot.

This is the worst zoo i've ever visited, they promised us see the bisons, elephants, and tigers but none of them were on there. Also polar bears but they werent on there. They said it was due to weather but it was ok. Really disapointed. I dont understand how google could rate a 4.5 to this place. I dont understand how on a friday almost none of the places to eat were closed. No more comments

Lots of things to do and see. Great new exhibits and attractions. I love the new zip line that they have added. It can be pricey on everyday except Wednesday which is their free day. It will be very crowded then. The best zoo in the city. Children will love their children's zoo where they can actually see, hear, touch, play and act like the animals do.

Great place to take your significant other or family. Huge variety of animals to see, just make sure that you rest up because it is a lot of walking. There is a parking lot, so you can just drive your car to the zoo.

Its a great zoo. You may need to visit more than once. There is great stuff for kids. I am always amazed that there can be such a great zoo in the middle of the Bronx. Absolutely go to the Bronx Zoo!

Visited the 6/8/16 for the first time many years. Nothing is the same & I was disappointed to see that the place has become a jungle. The exhibits were poor & animals, whether inside or outside, looked unhappy. Who's idea was this to turn this place into a jungle? I remember the Elephant House, the camel & elephant rides of a long time ago. Won't visit again & think the place should be closed down.

They're participants in the idnyc program and are giving away memberships at bargain prices. The zoo is large and well kept with expert trainers. The animals are well cared for and makes for a great experience.

This is a beautiful zoo with incredible displays. I would have given it five stars, but there are a few adjustments that need to be made that would create a perfect experience . The most important thing is it is difficult to navigate around the zoo . My sister bought a membership it seem like miles to walk, and we got very lost, from where she paid for the membership to where she received the actual membership card. By the time she receive the card we were pooped . we than continue to get more lost. it seemed we spent most of our day trying to figure out how to navigate around the place, and then the park closes at 5 o clock rush hour . We went on a Tuesday during school because we didn t want to fight the crowds which was a good idea but when we left we were in the middle of rush hour traffic coming out of New York and halfway through Connecticut it took us twice as long to get home. They had signs up at the zoo and there was a key on the bottom, such as C3 area see for lions but when you look at the actual maps the alphabet letters and numbers were not on them so that was hard to follow we also had a brochure with a map that was hard to follow and there s a trolley at the zoo but it only stops at a few places . I travel a great deal I ve been to Bush Gardens, Disney World, many six flags parks on numerous occasions I don t have problems navigating around areas in general . They really need to do something about that. It wouldn t hurt to have a few trolleys that go to the parking areas. There was a lot of walking I have a blister on my foot. I wouldn t say don t go but take into consideration the traffic, and walking. Almost everyone looked exhausted .

Not impressed, very pricey! I swear all we saw were various kinds of deer and peacocks. I really miss the Houston zoo! Honestly I'd rather go to the zoo up in Syracuse which is free for us and although not fancy it's fun for kids.

A bit busy because we came on donation day, but otherwise it was great. If you plan on going, you should buy the all inclusive 15$ pass for all rides and attractions. If you go on a normal day, ticket price is $36.95 for 13 years old or older, and $26.95 for children 3-12 years old. If you go on donation day, you don't have to pay anything to get into the park, but if will be very busy. The picture I included is from the trip there. It's the NYC skyline and it's beautiful on a clear day.

Variety of animals to see. Entertaining for the children. Albeit that it needs to be big to host all the animals, it was a lot of walking which was tiring. Overall good experience and worth the trip.

I have been here many times and it is always perfection. There is a variety of animals plus good food. We used to members, but it is always fun going here. The only problem I have is parking because this a large zoo. Not too many changes happened when we always come. I hope to visit it again!

Great experience, we went on a Wednesday so entrance was free but also we bought the additional passes which were discounted. We did the dinosaur ride which was far better than expected. We thought we would do the zoo in 2 or 3 hours but ended up being there the whole day. The peacocks roaming around freely was a treat and the petting zoo was a other highlight.

Always a nice time at the BX Zoo. The Children's Zoo is a lot of fun, even for adults. The tram is also a nice way to see some animals. Make sure you bring water and comfortable shoes because this place is huge! Admissions on Wednesdays are free which is always great if you don't mind some crowds.

The Bronx zoo is great. We love the kids zoo. If you have an annual pass there are so many things you can do. We enjoy the interactive aspects, like the birds walking around, as you are eating lunch.

We love it here..especially the Dinosaur Safari--I mean, come on (!!!), we've got two little dinosaur-lovin' Grrrrrrrrls who were thrilled (a little too thrilled, didn't want to go home!) with the animatronic creatures--T. Red, Bronto, Steger, etc.--t'was the real deal blast for these NYCers!!!

The zoo is pretty huge so be prepared for a long walk if you want to cover all the exhibits. I went on Wednesday where general admission was free and only needed to pay $14.95 for the full experience ticket. Highly recommend you get that as it gives you access to view the gorillas - watching the gorillas interact with their babies close up was an amazing experience. Other exhibits weren't too impressive, some of the animals looked listless. The 4D theatre was a waste of time.

Big and beautiful zoo, animals look happy , they have good space for them, we really enjoyed to go there, and I think you need two o three days to see everything around the zoo, one day is not enough..

I love this place... my children have a great time attractions are good, food is good, they also allow you to take your own which for any family is a huge benefit. Membership truly pays for itself when you are a frequent visitor.

When I went all the food places and stores inside the zoo we're closed and a lot of the animals wearing out and a lot of the enclosures weren't up and running. Hopefully in April it will be better.

Absolutely a must see! A lot of walking but well worth it. If you plan to return a second time in the same 12 months it's worth it to buy a membership! I bought ours 6 years ago and have never regretted it. Keep in mind that Weds. are usually free but park admission is first come first serve and limited. Also remember the park closes generally at 5pm However the animals go in for the evening around 430 so make sure that thou are all thou want to fit in prior to 430 otherwise you (your little ones)may be disappointed. Food is a bit expensive but you are allowed to bring your own! Souvenirs range in price from $3 - $80 but generally speaking can get something decent for between $10-$15. Pack your sunscreen and some patients.. pile everyone into the car and head on or to one of the greatest day trips one can experience! Have a great time as we have so many times!

This place doesnt get as much credit as it deserves, its very large so the family gets the true adventure feeling. they have different exhibits i.e the congo that all have cafes or gift shops to follow along with the exhibits theme. The food and gear is costly but extremely worth it cause its the experience that matters. Kids loved the seal show.

A great place to spend the day especially in October. Many kids are dressed up in costumes and they have Halloween parade in candy give away. So much to do, hard to take ot all in in one day. Local tip: go to the jungle world monorail early or late in the day as the line can get long mid day.
