Brew at the Zoo was fun. Lots of beer, some wine and ciders, and a decent selection of food trucks/stalls. The animals could be out for longer though

I liked the place its really nice and the animals are cute
One of my favorite places to visit on Earth. I always learn something new.
LOVE IT!!! No polar bear though ... Gorilla exhibit is also quite creepy.
My kids (13 & 16) and I, plus my sister and brother in law spent the day at the Bronx Zoo celebrating my son's birthday. It had been quite a few years since we had been so we figured it was time. The Bronx Zoo never disappoints. The animals are a plenty and we definitely get our walking in. I like that everything we wanted to do is included in the Total Experience so we don't have to worry. There are plenty of rest rooms and places to eat, although the cost of food is ridiculous. We drive about 90 minutes to get there but it's worth it. Personally, I feel as though the parking should be included in the price of entry (additional $15).
Enjoyed our trip as it was our first time to that Zoo. Not as many sites open but I know that s because it was too cold for the animals. Loved the giraffe and lion exhibits!
Great zoo. Be prepared to walk. NYC students get in free just present your ID.
A LOT of fun. The animals were great the food was awesome it was over all one of the best days of my life
Enjoyed the monkeys & reptiles. Walking on the fine woodchucks was a great!.
The best zoo I have ever been to. I arrived on a Tuesday immediately when the zoo opened. There were barely any people there until later. I spent the whole day exploring all of the animals. It's a large property so wear comfortable shoes, since there will be a lot of walking.
Big bring your walking shoes lots of active aninals
The Bronx Zoo - New England and Tri-State Area's premiere zoo. Lions, tigers bears bugs, snakes and soooo much more.
Went recently on a rainy during the week, it was like we had the zoo to ourselves. Highly recommend that you go on a bad weather forecast day. Sooo much fun and no pressure from overcrowding or pushy guests.
A very nice looking with a wide variety of animals. Loved everything about it, though I don't recommend their food court. Great value for your money.
It had so many amazing animals and I had an amazing time
I love it
Everything is great! Animals are fun to see! Amazing ZOO! But staff and food need improvement
I love Bronx zoo. My favorite place to go with my young son
Great place to get connection with the nature ...I'm giving them only 3 its cause signaling it's not that clear to reach some animals (maybe is me and I need other glasses).
First time here. Loved it. A lot of trees, shade, various animals of all sizes. Seemed clean and animal areas appeared safe and clean for them as well. Was a little pricey for what i am used to, but the money has to feed the animals :) There seemed to be a lot of employees throughout and most were friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of space for kids to run.
Great exhibits! Staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.
Had a really great time with my family... definitely should be a must on anyone's list.
When been there when I was little. It's one of the largest zoo.
Best place to go and enjoy with family in the Bronx.
Large zoo with a multitude of species and fun atmosphere
There is a lot to see get there early if you only have one day.
Its ok during the cold months but the real fun is in May when all the animals are out and all the exhibits are open
I have been to the Bronx Zoo on numerous occasions both as a child and now as an adult bringing my children there. While I still LOVE the zoo, and I love the Bronx, they've changed the way that they charge for things in the zoo. It used to be that general admission covered just about everything besides food and souvenirs. Now it's $6 to ride the shuttle; $10 to enter the children's zoo; $24 to park for the day, and so on and so on. I know it's New York, but even by NY standards, this was much to expensive.
Awesome place to take your family too, bring good walking sneakers... Lots of walking though, well worth it....
Yes,the lines on Wednesday s are long, keep in mind and don t loose your patience!!!Place to visit!!!It was worth it!!!Great memories!!!
I love the iconic Bronx Zoo! Doing a great job at keeping the experience alive during Covid. Mostly all outdoors and great exhibits - plus cool to see the animals and people from the television show, The Zoo.
I've been to the Bronx Zoo back in 2004..... I loved it! The Zoo itself is a great place to do a lot of walking! Gosh it's huge!!!
The Nature Trek is great addition to the zoo. The kids enjoyed it and it has great activities to keep them busy. The Dinosaur Safari had impressive animatronics.
It's ok place. Long walks. Would have been better if there is more frequent and more locations for trolley
Great signage about required mask-wearing and social distancing!
Favorite zoo since I was a child, still impresses me as an adult. Had EV charging too! Although sometimes those spots are blocked by non EV cars.
Fun place for the kids. I have a great time admiring the beautiful animals. Only thing i would suggest is bring your own stuff everything is expensive. The staff are all very friendly & helpful
Even in the spring in the rain this place was a blast to visit. Lots to see and well kept grounds. Wear good walking shoes!
This place is very clean, food is not too over priced, and the attractions are nice. But DO NOT go on a Wednesday during the summer! Many many many camps go and it is PACKED!
Great zoo, definitely plan a lot of time to see everything, and wear good walking shoes!
Just an amazing place. Been coming here since I was a kid and it's just gotten better and better. My family had a great time and these people aren't easily impressed!
Good but we rent a stroller for girls and somebody stolen our stroller
This is a world class zoo. If you live in the NYC area, buy a membership; it is the best deal money can buy.
Huge zoo, went a couple of times but it s usually very busy. Hard to move around with toddlers but it is a great zoo. Would recommend it! Food isn t that great and expensive and bathrooms are dirty, but I guess you d expect that in a busy location.
Love this place. Everytime i came with my kid there is always something new.
Great place for the whole family. Animals are in good shape and the exhibits are well organized and well kept. Go early you will need the entire day to see it all.
The best zoo ever. Go whenever you have a chance. Get a picture with one of the roaming peacocks!
Is not my best plan in New York but I really enjoyed. Too and some attractions are closed
Went on a nice sunny Wednesday in the beginning of November. It was a pay as much as you wish day and we had a nice walk around. Also took the monorail for extra 5 dollars and it was a lovely 15 minutes.
Enjoyed the environment and the naturalness of the animals around.
Loved the zoo.
Got to see Snow Leopards. Bears. Lions.
Great zoo.
Don t go in the winter.
Crowded on Wednesdays because it s free.
Great facilities.
I mean.... It's the bronz zoo! How can one not have fun at a zoo of any kind. Check the zoo's web page for more information on special events. I recently attended Brew At The Zoo, where patrons get to walk around the zoo to taste craft beer and wine. We drank, partied, dance and it felt like being a child at the zoo again.... With the exception of actual children! Amazing.
An amazing day I had alot of fun the shops are a bit pricey and there was a long line to get in on Wednesday but it was moving quick
If you don't mind the big crowds, go on a free day in good weather. If you go to Boo at the Zoo and pay full price; you'll thoroughly enjoy the experience.
Has a few postponed animal siting delays, like the Polar bear Exhibit and a few others. Overall still the good ole Bronx Zoo I remember.
Beautiful sceny with differntts varieties of wild animal that make you excited et enjoyed.othe bronx zoo is a place where you are going to discover something news.i love it.
It's rated one of the best zoos in the world for a reason
Great Zoo. I just wish their signage would be more precise and displayed along the trails as to where the attractions are located.
Very nice place. Staff is rude about fixing your mask while visiting even knowing that you are in an outdoor area.
I actually found myself feeling sorry for some of the animals there because they did not have enough room to be active. For example, a leopard was only able to walk no further than 20 feet in his small cage. It seems to me that an animal like that needs a much larger area to work with and the visitors to the zoo would appreciate seeing such an animal in a larger, more natural setting.
Very fun place to go out with your family. There are animals ranging from the smallest butterfly to the tallest giraffe. They serve food (of course at a price) and even have a 4-D theather showing kid friendly mini movies for the family.
Well as you know the Bronx Zoo is always fun and exciting is different not too expensive educational and a beautiful experience you can enjoy walking around see you in a different animals especially with the kids they feel like they in the new world every time they go to another place
We love the zoo. We have been coming here for at least 10 years, a few times every year. It never disappoints. Very clean and well maintained. The animal enclosures are big and spacious.
its an ok zoo, noting too special about it. it was hard keeping the kids entertained at times. it was too packed for and the price was ridiculous
It was a super amazing experience just to be in one of the nations best zoos. Amazing animals and facility. I could not have a better time at all. It was great!!
Good exercise, saw everything except the Bengal tiger which was hiding in the bush.
Went on a Sunday, not terribly crowded, and we had such an amazing time. Even after arriving at noon and staying until closing we still only saw about half the exhibits, so definitely will return soon.
Be aware the ticket charge. At Gate B -main enterence- they "ONLY" advertising Total expereience ticket, which cost a lot!!
36.95 per adult and 26.95 per children!!
I was wondering why the ticket price raised so much. since last time I was here was 4-5years ago. Asked the cashier lady 2 tickets for adults, she doesn't even explained there is an option for general admission which is 19.95 per adult.
They also doesn't explain about this much on the web site either.
So if you're planning to visit, and just go for stroll and view animals not riding/3D theater stuffs. Make sure ask general admission
I felt so rip off after got in, found out there is other ticket option.
Just loved this place. I was surprised and happy with all the space the animals have.
The monorail is a must, you get to see all these beautiful animals in their "natural" habitat, similar to a safari. It lasts approximately 15 minutes.
One big complain is the hours, especially in summer they should probably extend a little the time when they put all animals away (currently 4:30)
Not much to see, as many of the exhibits were closed. Quite disappointing and overtly overrated. Not my best Zoo experience. May return another time. But cannot recommend based on my experience.
Holiday light show was great. Be prepared to walk, but hot chocolate, pretzels, s'mores and more can keep you fueled as you walk around the zoo and see the "lanterns" and lights!
