Awesome to see, even more awesome to ride. You won't get better views of the London. Spot all the great attraction from above. The views and experience are completely worth the wait. The line moves quite quickly as the wheel doesn't stop so people are constantly getting on and off.

It is an amazing place to visit once in a lifetime. Just try to reach there before 15 minutes of your ride, as there may be a big queue by the time you reach there. The funny thing is, you will have to get an actual physical ticket even if you book via online, usually that queue will take 10 or 15 minutes of your time. Overall it was a good visit.

Great views of the city (Big Ben, River Thames, Shard, etc) but the cost per person can be a bit pricey. We ended getting the fast past which is worth it as there usually is a crowd here. Once on, it is about 30 mins on the slow moving carousel.

This is the reason why London is so famous and popular amongst tourist destinations. We missed the chance of seeing this place at night. If you are visiting London then make sure to visit this place at night. The view is spectacular. You can find a good number of restaurants that are located nearby. A must visit!

This is a great way to experience London from above. I enjoyed the relaxing journey. Get the guide book so you know what you're looking at. Great for kids too. Be sure to reserve your time slot to avoid long waits.

Loved it! A great way to have a superb panoramic view of London, especially on a sunny day! The ride is slow and calm and allows you to enjoy the view.
On the ground they offer a 4D experience clip of The London eye, they have a VIP lounge and of course, a souvenirs shop.
Worth it, it is iconic for London.

Got tickets for 12 months and they expired during the Covid lockdown period, spoke to the team and manager, to my regret they did nothing but say a fake empty apology, happy to take my money but slow to make any resolution even when I constantly made alternative suggestions.

Will not be getting another ticket nor will I recommend it to anyone (to go on what is pretty much an expensive, oversized ferris wheel) and will most certainly not be using Last Minute.com again, thanks for taking my money, you will not be seeing it again.

PS: If you are planning on going on the London Eye in either 2020 or 2021 be ready for them to deny you if a lockdown is the reason it goes out of date.

Too pricey, too short and not worth the money. The attraction is nice to get a general view over London but does not justify the high price. I rather recommend visiting the Tower Bridge or even go up to Sushi Samba (Building next to Liverpool Street Station and it's even FREE!)

A landmark of London, a must-see! This big wheel attracts tourists attraction with its look and location. However there is a long queue every time and ticket price is high when you want to buy from the booth, but you may get a discount when you buy tickets online.

One of the most iconic and pictured monument of London. The only issue is the long queue which one has to stand in to get into the London eye. It s better to get the tickets beforehand online to at least avoid the ticketing queue. Overall one cannot miss this attraction while visiting London. Can get great shots of the same from the cruise on Thames river.

If you wish to have a bird's eye view of London, then this is the place to be. Great view of the city from the very top. Plan ahead in order to beat the massive queues, else be prepared to be patient and wait in line, or pay for a fast track service.

Rated this 4 star as I'm basing it on the day and first time. This attraction is much better if you buy a premium Merlin or fast track pass (Merlin passes are typically on sale every January for a fair price) as you get into a much faster queue line. Staff also allowed my friend who had a standard pass to join the fast track. Sights are brilliant and definitely take a camera. Sadly it's one of those things you can only do once as subsequent visits are a bit dull and unless you want different weather shots, it loses its appeal.
Recommend but try and get a cheap Merlin pass in January so you can also do the Dungeons nearby!

Well where else can you get this view of London with the whole family. Enjoyable easy and a must do on visit to the capital. Only thing is I didn't get to see the 4D experience and didn't feel directed towards this at all. Although not really sure what I missed. Maybe next time.

Must visit if you're in London. You get to see some great views of the city. Try visiting during late in the evening, preferably during weekdays as it can get a bit crowded during weekends. Tickets can be brought nearby using ticketing machines if you use credit or debit cards. Ticket counters are also available for cash payment.

Even though the ticket's price is quite elevated (30 pounds!), it's a quite unique experience that worths the money! A panoramic view of the whole city through the glass cubicles, is the best way to admire the view from a different perspective and to take pictures! The whole round lasts about 20' and the very slow motion of the 'London eye' makes it adequate for those who are afraid of the height!

It's about 60 pounds for the full ticket. I personally don't think it's worth that cost. It's like a 30 minute trip to the top and back down and that's about it. You get a decent view of Westminster and the shard. However, you can get an even better view of London for free by going to the top of the Tate Modern and going to their observation deck. Save your money

The main thing - the ride - was obviously pretty nice. I liked the view and the atmosphere.
Now to the reasons of why I only gave it 3 stars:
1. The waiting time. I've waited approx. 1.5 hours - even though I had the most expensive ticket!
2. The room in the cabin. Maybe because of so many tourists waiting, I don't really know: The cabin was a little bit too full. Now I know, that not everyone needs a sitting place, but I believe many tourists use the tour as a pause from their city trip.
3. The view. Don't get me wrong, I liked it. But for the London eye to be described as one of the main attractions of London to go to - it wasn't good enough. Now the problem here was a pretty funny one (not really): One of the parts of the London eye obstructed the view, which then results in approx. 20 sec of obstacle-free view above London.

Well worth a spin for the incredible 360 views. Timing is critical as good weather (no clouds) will help. The other factors include the number of tourists so the difference between day or night should be considered (day - better views typically. Night - less lines)

You know the UK has many iconic places to visit and london is one of those places. However I have never actually explored london ever.

However the first landmark to see was this beauty. A gigantic ferris wheel.

Tickets are bought from within the county hall(the building adjacent to the eye) self service booths. You can get priority tickets which would cost you more but means you will get fast tracked although the queue is somewhat long you really dont have to wait that long as its fast paced.

Takes around 30mins to do full circle. In that time you pretty much see all the landmarks of london. The booths are air conditioned too so helps if the weather gets warm outside. Will definitely go again and it's better with families then going alone.

For a glorified Ferris wheel this was pretty good. My group of friends was able to get the student rate, so that was good. We also all went together I a single pod, so that was also good. There were 12 of us, so small groups may have to be with us people. We also went at a later point in the night on a Friday, so there was no line. The staff was very friendly and nice! Would definitely recommend the view from the top, even on a cloudy day.

This was a birthday gift. Richard and I enjoyed the experience, although we also had a view from the Shard, if you have the choice and can only do one experience, then I would recommend the Shard. The eye is amazing but I feel would be a lot better if there was a commentary so that you could tell what all the landmarks were. Also be prepared to queue.

The view was stunning and all but the main problem is that it was way too crowded and we stood in line for about an hour and the compartment was also crowded so we couldn t sit down nor stand near the glass I managed to get one good photo and that is when people cleared away from the glass to smile to the camera on the wheel.

Mesmerizing place. Life time experience. This 30 mins ride on London eye shows most of the beautiful monuments around London eye. Westminster looks beautiful from top of London eye. U get food near the ticket counter. Tickets are not very expensive. You would want to go through fast track paying 10 more pounds if you are running out of time.

A review below suggests 8 max during covid restrictions. This was not our experience and found our pod crowded and impossible to move around and enjoy the different views without coming within 1 meter of others. Even with a minimal queue, and asking if we could go in a less crowded pod as we we were told to board, they refused. I checked with London Eye since and they say they are allowed to have 12 people per pod during the restrictions. So be aware that this may happen to you too if you visit at the moment. I felt extremely uncomfortable.

Another of the best attractions in London! When you reached the very top, you can get an amazing and magnificent view of London, you can see Big Ben and The Houses Of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, St James Park, St Paul's Cathedral and many more. The London Eye has also become well known in Disney since it has made appearance in Disney movies such as Cars 2 and etc. If you want to enjoy the view of the capital alone, you can order a private capsule but it will have a very high cost.

It is a fairly nice experience, and the pricing isn't too bad if you consider that it's London. However, a key attraction, which is the chance to see Westminster and Big Ben from the air, is obviously limited due to renovation right now. If you're fine with seeing little other than scaffold in one direction and just want to look at the rest of the City and say you rode the eye, go ahead with it.

Absolutely beautiful way to get a wonderful view of the entire of Central London! The ride is long and calming, and as a person who suffers from motion sickness, I was very well on the ride as the movement feels subtle. The 'capsule' fits lots of people and allows for big families to enjoy it together! There is also a bench to sit down inside the ride which helps if you aren't in a fit condition. Absolutely recommended to any tourist in London!

This is the best place ever visited. If you are a person who love beautiful views should definitely visit the London eye. To be on the benefit one should buy a combo ticket like river cruise and London eye because this is way much cheaper and totally worth. London eye tour is for 30mins and there's a camera where you can get your pictures for a price. They do a champagne thing while you are inside the London eye. This is one thing everybody should do totally worth and a must when in London.

About British Airways London Eye

British Airways London Eye: A Must-Visit Attraction in London

If you're planning a trip to London, one of the must-visit attractions is the British Airways London Eye. This iconic landmark is located on the South Bank of the River Thames and offers breathtaking views of the city's skyline. The lastminute.com London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel that stands at 135 meters tall and has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in London.

The British Airways London Eye was opened to the public in March 2000 and has since welcomed over 70 million visitors from all over the world. It was designed by architects David Marks and Julia Barfield, who wanted to create an attraction that would provide visitors with a unique perspective of London's landmarks.

The lastminute.com London Eye consists of 32 capsules, each capable of holding up to 25 people. The capsules are made entirely out of glass, providing unobstructed views for passengers as they slowly rotate around the wheel. A full rotation takes approximately 30 minutes, giving visitors ample time to take in all that this beautiful city has to offer.

One thing that sets British Airways' version apart from other Ferris wheels around the world is its state-of-the-art technology. Each capsule features interactive touchscreens that provide information about different landmarks visible from above. Visitors can also use these screens to learn more about how this impressive structure was built.

Pre-booking your tickets online is highly recommended as it guarantees entry into this popular attraction while also saving you up to 20% off ticket prices compared with buying them on-site or at other vendors around town.

In addition to offering stunning views, there are many other reasons why you should visit British Airways' version of The Eye during your trip:

1) Location: Located on South Bank near Waterloo Station makes it easily accessible by public transport or walking distance from many hotels.
2) Accessibility: The attraction caters for those with disabilities including wheelchair access.
3) Family-friendly: Children under three years old go free! There are also family tickets available which include fast track entry.
4) Private Capsules: For those looking for something extra special there are private capsules available which include champagne and chocolates!
5) Events & Experiences: Throughout year there are various events held such as Valentine’s Day packages or New Year’s Eve celebrations where guests can enjoy exclusive experiences whilst taking in panoramic views across central london.
6) Educational Opportunities - Schools can book educational visits where students will learn about engineering principles behind building such an impressive structure like The Eye!

Overall, visiting British Airways' version of The Eye should be high on your list when planning your next trip to England's capital city! With its stunning views, state-of-the-art technology and accessibility options for everyone - it truly offers something for everyone!
