One of the most amazing experiences in London! In almost 45 minutes, you can see the significant spots of London at once. A beautiful and eye-catching panoramic view of London. Personally suggest to experience it after sunset.

London Eye has to be on your top 10 things to do in London. It gives you the best views of London while you enjoy your ride on the big wheel. Best enjoyed during the day when it's bright and sunny(i.e. if you are lucky with London weather)to get the best views. Else another option would be around sunset. It's good for kids and adults. Walk around the river to see this beauty from all angles. It's worth it. There are lot of restaurants, cafes and bars around the London Eye so you are never low on energy you need to see this beautiful site. Best seen from the bridge right next to it which will show you its true colours and views.

What a wonderful experience, have been on it twice now, and both times was a mesmerising experience.
What a breath of fresh Ari sitting and viewing out the glass pod, what an experience!

Would recommend for anyone visiting London in this area, must visit.

Worth a visit on a clear day, but very expensive. Plenty of offers available through two for one attraction visits with rail tickets, or rates for accessing multiple tourist venues around London.
Once onboard you are shut into the capsule and have to stay on until the wheel has completed its full revolution. There are information points around the capsule, and you can also use the paper pamphlet to identify various sights.

London Eye is a great tourist attraction. The best views of London from this 40 minute ride. I would highly recommend buying a fast pass to bypass the line especially if you have young children or seniors in your group.

Love this place. There are always interesting activities happening around this iconic location of London. You may take water taxi from here in a fast boat along the Thames River for an exciting tour. It give you a different perspective of London.

A must see when you re in London. The view from the pods are amazing. Best to take this ride when the weather is nice. It is a little more but the fast pass is better rather than waiting but also depends if it s high or low tourist season. Best to also get the tickets online rather than at the place.

Must visit place in London. The entrance fee is around 25 pounds per person. I reccommend to enjoy the london's view from the capsules on the morning or afternoon when golden hours are happening.
.
Also, it is a good option to take short walk in southbank area enjoying street performances and take refreshments

If you are in London this is a must do.

If you are in London this is a must do.

There was a large crowd and the entire thing seemed a little disorganized.

If you have a voucher from online from any source you have to go to the main building to validate and obtain the actual tickets needed to get on the ride. We were in a lineup and discovered this after having moved a certain distance.

Once in a lineup it will take approximately 45 minutes to get on the ride. This obviously depends on the crowds.

The ride itself was magnificent. The carriages were very stable. There is absolutely no swing even when you are at the highest level. It was a fantastic experience.

This is so similar to the Singapore Flyer and if you're from Singapore, there isn't much point riding this. Like the Singapore Flyer, it's pretty expensive. Unless you want to snap lots of shots of the surrounding cityscape from up high or just admire London from a vantage point, you can give this a miss. Reckon the view from the Duck and Waffle wouldn't be inferior to this one.

On a trip to London, I disembarked from my train at Waterloo, and walked by the London Eye. I had been on the Eye once before, about twelve years ago, prebooked, and had enjoyed the experience although the weather was a bit cloudy. Unlike this time when the sun was shining in a clear blue sky. And so on the spur of the moment I decided I should see London from on high in all its glory. But the queue was long and I had places to go and so I paid extra for a fast track ticket. Pricey, but worth it for the much quicker access. The Eye travels so slowly (26cm per second since you ask) that it doesn t stop to let passengers on and off. The pods are a good size and they don t overfill them, so you can move about a bit round the perimeter to get different views. And, wow, are those views stunning. On such a clear day, I could see many recognisable landmarks, although I didn t manage to make out Windsor Castle 40km away, as is claimed. But that could be a function of my aged eyes.

Its nice enough, get to enjoy lovely views of the city. The ride is 30 minites long, that might not sound like much, but it's pretty damn slow.
Great if you're trying to take in the views and enjoy being up high.
Not recommended for those with any kind of height fears.

It was ok. We have Merlin passes so it's good to go on for free but not sure I'd pay the extortionate cost for the 30 mins in takes to go round. Great view and friendly staff. Partner managed to be on it and ok despite a fear of heights.

Champagne Experience: recommendation if you like to enjoy a relaxing London Eye experience

There is quite a waiting line in front of the entry of London Eye and you will need patience. This is why I decided in advance to get tickets for the champagne London Eye experience. You will save money if you book in advance. Also make sure to only book on the official London Eye website.
On the day of the event I ve picked up the tickets one hour ahead of the time indicated on the ticket at a separate VIP counter. Don t forget your ID!
We then went up to the London Eye lounge. With this ticket you will get a glass of champagne, cocktail or soft drink for free. We sat down and enjoyed a relaxing time in the lounge. 15 minutes prior to the indicated time on the ticket our host showed up to check our tickets. Then we went together as a group directly to the fast track entrance. Estimated time from the lounge to getting onto the capsule: 5 minutes.
After boarding the capsule the host served another time a glass of champagne, explained mayor landmarks visible from the London Eye and took fantastic pictures for us with our smartphones.

The only negative things that come to my mind concern the lounge experience: there are no separate restrooms for the lounge. You have to go downstairs and use the crowded restrooms of the ticket office area. The windows facing to the London Eye needed to be cleaned.

A special thanks to our great host Tango. He made the experience unforgettable.

The London Eye is a marvelous and amazing structure. Price is a little high but fare, the view from up there is awesome. The London Eye is placed by a park and many other places where you can visit, eat, rest and enjoy the view and yout trip. You can go even just for pictures in front of it.

Had a great time at the tourist destination. Was initially scared of the heights but once I come around I got to see London from a whole other level. The carts were clean. We were in a line behind several tour groups but got fast tracked by the staff which quickened our wait time. Would definitely recommend this as a stop when visiting London.

Needless to say this is one of the most popular attractions in London. I bought the tickets online together with the tickets for Madame Tussauds, London Aquarium and Shrek's Adventure - and got a very good discount. We waited for some 45 mins in the queue, however this wait was more than worth it. The view from this ferris wheel is great. You can see London at 360 degrees. Third time that I visited in the last 19 years.

Pretty Great! Overall, just a really simple way to ensure some fantastic aerial photos of London and all the surrounding locations of historical significance and interest...of course, all those sites warrant close-up visits, but The Eye was a really fun experience for our family - we were able to have some downtime from all the walking around and got some really great pictures in the meanwhile. Definitely recommend for all the Tourists!!

It is a good idea to book ahead to get a good time slot. There are great views to be had across London from here. The journey around takes around half an hour. Also the area around the London Eye on the South bank is quite vibrant, with lots of other things to see and do there.

You get a great with over London. It's not cheap but if you get a Combo Deal with Big Bus or something else you get both for 45. This is a great deal.
Tons of people but every second on the ride is worth it.
You can see everything in London.
Be sure to only make it when the weather is great.
Didn't buy a fast pass and waiting of 10mins was reasonable.

The London Eye has a few attractions nearby. Tate modern museum, 4D London Eye experience, river cruise and gift stores selling souvenirs at affordable prices. The ticket centre offers bundle packages at cheaper rates so be sure to buy them there if you want to explore London for a few days. The top view on the London Eye allows one to view the river and Big Ben (unfortunately, it's still under renovation). It would be great to be there during sunset!

Great experience, children really enjoyed it. Apart from the Shard, probably the best way to see all of London. The queues move very quickly but do get long at peak times. I wouldn't get the photo they sell at the end unless your desperate for it because it is expensive and is really just a standard photo in a rather glossy folder. Overall I would recommend for the experience.

It's worth the money - just to post the picture on Instagram.
Warning:
Buy tickets in advance online - you will save great value and have better experience.
Choose time wisely - if you will be there at sunshine you will be disappointed - dirty glass doesn't allow to take a good picture

The London eye is an iconic landmark on the Thames...

The London eye is an iconic landmark on the Thames and at the top you can see from miles around. I went to London with my girlfriend and we were both very excited about going to the eye. The line for tickets was not very long and the ticket agent was very helpful in explaining the type of packages you can purchase for other attractions located nearby. We ended up just getting ticket to the eye and no extra attractions. We went just as the eye opened, so there was almost no line for us to get on. I would advise to visit earlier rather than later as the line does get very long later in the day. The ride does not stop for you to get on, so the staff help you get on at an appropriate time. Overall the whole ride lasts around 25 minutes from when you get on to when you get off. I would recommend taking many photos facing the river as there are many other landmarks like Big Ben, parliament and Buckingham Palace in that direction. The Shard is very visible from the opposite direction of the river. The eye also takes a photo of you when the ride is almost over, which you can purchase later. The virtual eye tour is great as well and would recommend seeing it. Overall this is a must see if you are visiting London.

Unfortunately for us the weather was not very good and there were plenty of clouds about so we were not able to see very far once we were actily in the capacious cabin and doing the circuit. There was plenty of room and the windows were clear and there was lots of information on the various sights you could see. Some of the buildings look spectacular from this height including the river Thames.

Marvelous views of London.

Marvelous views of London.
During its 20 year life, the "London Eye" has carried the name of several sponsors. Over the past 10 years, it has been the #1 "paid attraction" in the UK. While it is 135 meters in diameter, it is no longer the largest such wheel-- but, it does offer many interesting/amazing views of London... and, on a bright sunny day, one can even see "Windsor Casrle. While it is only a 5 minute walk from The "Waterloo Tube Station", the walk along the south bank of the river Thames is also very enjoyable. It has also earned TripAdvisor's coveted "Certificate of Excellence".

I hope that this Review has been helpful.

I thought that it was just an Ok experience. You get a great view but very overpriced for what it is. The pods feel very crammed as they pack quite a lot of people in. I think if you want a decent view of London then it s ok but if you d rather just experience more of what the city has to offer then I would avoid. As the queue will take quite a while to go down and i paid for fast track and still had to wait for my time slot.

A nice experience with some decent views over London, with an easy booking experience online with tickets downloadable and compatible with Apple Wallet. You get a decent anoint of time too unlike some other similar attractions in other cities. The main criticisms are that the queues can be quite and the price paid really isn t worth it. Views over the city can be had from other locations which are cheaper or free.

Its a good experience. I had been to this place two times. Definitely not worth going more than once but i have been taking friends and family hence i took them. Its best to combine this with hop on and hop off tickets. Sometimes, its best to take trains and use two for one offers. Its definitely worth the money. If you go during weekdays there is little or no rush. I went on a wednesday and i was there at around 12:30 and the queue tool less than 10 minutes. Good views on a sunny day.

To have an eye above the rest and view the city for kilometers is quite breathtaking. The line isn't too long. It's worth the price as it's something to do once as a tourist like I am. Would've loved to see it at night though. Would've been better. Next time.

About British Airways London Eye

British Airways London Eye: A Must-Visit Attraction in London

If you're planning a trip to London, one of the must-visit attractions is the British Airways London Eye. This iconic landmark is located on the South Bank of the River Thames and offers breathtaking views of the city's skyline. The lastminute.com London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel that stands at 135 meters tall and has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in London.

The British Airways London Eye was opened to the public in March 2000 and has since welcomed over 70 million visitors from all over the world. It was designed by architects David Marks and Julia Barfield, who wanted to create an attraction that would provide visitors with a unique perspective of London's landmarks.

The lastminute.com London Eye consists of 32 capsules, each capable of holding up to 25 people. The capsules are made entirely out of glass, providing unobstructed views for passengers as they slowly rotate around the wheel. A full rotation takes approximately 30 minutes, giving visitors ample time to take in all that this beautiful city has to offer.

One thing that sets British Airways' version apart from other Ferris wheels around the world is its state-of-the-art technology. Each capsule features interactive touchscreens that provide information about different landmarks visible from above. Visitors can also use these screens to learn more about how this impressive structure was built.

Pre-booking your tickets online is highly recommended as it guarantees entry into this popular attraction while also saving you up to 20% off ticket prices compared with buying them on-site or at other vendors around town.

In addition to offering stunning views, there are many other reasons why you should visit British Airways' version of The Eye during your trip:

1) Location: Located on South Bank near Waterloo Station makes it easily accessible by public transport or walking distance from many hotels.
2) Accessibility: The attraction caters for those with disabilities including wheelchair access.
3) Family-friendly: Children under three years old go free! There are also family tickets available which include fast track entry.
4) Private Capsules: For those looking for something extra special there are private capsules available which include champagne and chocolates!
5) Events & Experiences: Throughout year there are various events held such as Valentine’s Day packages or New Year’s Eve celebrations where guests can enjoy exclusive experiences whilst taking in panoramic views across central london.
6) Educational Opportunities - Schools can book educational visits where students will learn about engineering principles behind building such an impressive structure like The Eye!

Overall, visiting British Airways' version of The Eye should be high on your list when planning your next trip to England's capital city! With its stunning views, state-of-the-art technology and accessibility options for everyone - it truly offers something for everyone!
